Great pizza. Great beer. Six of us stopped there last night and had a great time. Great service. A definite place to come back to.

Pretty much the best pizza ever, ever... a close second is a good NY pie, but that's only available in NY. FYI, for some reason dining in returns better pie than take out. But their takeout is still better than any other place. I've been a faithful fan since 2004.

I decided to meet up with some friends on a Monday night for TRIVIA night! I love trivia! It was the perfect setting for a typically boring night in Mobile. Trivia night was so much fun, and I had tasty food to go along with it. I ordered "The Caesar!" pizza based on a friend's recommendation, and it was so goood....I was hungry and basically ate the whole thing. It's a great place to hang out with friends. If you want to go to trivia night, get there early to grab a seat. Trivia starts at 7 pm.

So I'm usually not crazy about Mellow Mushrooms, but this Mellow Mushroom in particular is the bomb.com . The people who work there are primarily college kids (I recognize a lot of them from when I was in high school with them), but they're easy going and pretty nice. There's a great beer selection, so make sure you take the time to look at the beer menu if you want to try something new. I have had mixed reviews on the pizza (I got a pick-up order that was burned once), but you can't go wrong with the Caesar Caesar. It's the greatest thing in the world. I have cravings for it all the time, but sadly I live in New Orleans where there isn't a Mellow Mushroom in sight (I think the closest one might be in Covington?). This particular Mellow Mushroom is special. On Monday nights, they host Trivia Night where the ol' regulars gather on the porch, drink beer, and answer questions. I love trivia night. It's my favorite night of the week. If I'm in Mobile on a Monday, I always make a point to attend and do my best against the other teams. On Tuesdays, there's the Mellow Milers. They run a 5k every week, starting at Mellow Mushroom, journeying through a pre-determined route through the neighborhood, and end up back at the restaurant to drink a few beers and talk about... running and stuff. It's a great way to connect with the local community and exercise with other. For me, motivation is key, and Mellow Milers is always a great way to get off your butt and run a few miles.

I want to preface this review with letting everyone know I have had great pizza in NY, Italy, and many other places. Now... I'm not convinced the pizza dough was even fresh. If it was, I found it to be extremely salty. The toppings were not not fresh and the cheese was not quality (it should pull away from your mouth slowly). The only redeeming quality, I suppose, was the selection of beer on tap. Sadly, if I wanted beer, solely, I could go to any bar and have bar food, which was about where the quality of this pizza was at. I guess it's popularity stems from the young crowd that uses this restaurant as a local hang out; having limited choice.

Dear Mellow Mushroom, Thanks for putting on Mellow Milers every tuesday at 6pm. I have found it to be my weekly 5k and I love it. I get to enjoy my weekly wild blue lager after a run and socialize with friends I would barely get to see. This event brings us together to update our lives every week! Thanks ! Also Keep it up with the eye candy. Us girls appreicate it . Until another week!

Pizza options are very unique, if you have a certain taste they probably have a pizza for it... they will custom a pizza for you, they do half and half also. They only do one style of crust, which I found very salty, and it didnt come across as fresh, almost pretzely. Great variety of beer... I ask to buy some beer to go in a hydroflask "growler"...I was looked at funny and denied, apparently they don't do growlers in Alabama. I had placed my ordered over the phone, the gal that took it was great, had personality and had great suggestions. Plenty of parking, dining inside and out. Not sure about large groups looked liked they were set up for an average group of 4-6 but with proper notice could probably accommodate something bigger. The pizza was delicious, however a bit expensive I felt, but none the less I would eat there again and again. Food I would give a 4.5, seating felt very commercial and average, I'd give that a 3.0, service was quick, accurate, friendly and accomadating 5.0. Good stuff.

This is one of my favorite places. My favorite is either the spiked sausage hoagie or the steak & cheese hoagie. Pizzas are really good. They have a large variety. Cool staff. Oh and I love their salt!

We love Mellow so much they catered our wedding. We always sit at the bar and enjoy talking to the bar staff, they are engaging in conversation and attentive to our dining needs. They have a great variety of good beer. The pretzels are a necessity and we love the Buffalo, Kosmic Karma, and Mauwie Wowie pizzas.

Great food. However, this place is always FREEZING! Went here yesterday, it was 44 and raining. They had the AC on! It's always cold in here so I usually bring a coat even in the summertime but this time it was absolutely miserable and I wasn't the only one in our group that complained. I'm not sure if the staff is cold also or if they are hot because they all seem to wear knitted caps. If they are just wearing them because they are "hipsters" but are becoming too hot and need AC, then may I suggest that they please stop wearing thick knitted hats or I just can not come here anymore. It's not a pleasant dining experience when all you can think about is how cold you are

As a Chicagoan, I was pleasantly surprised how good the pizza was. The food choices were interesting and the mushroom tea (their version of a Long Island) was delicious. The vibe and staff were great too. I wish I could have sampled more of the menu but I'll definitely go again when I'm in town.

I don't recommend this Mellow Mushroom and you really don't want to go for a large group! Terrible service, didn't accommodate our group, asked for a fork and the waitress said they didn't have any!! Too many people to give everyone a fork. Ridiculous! I had made reservations for a large party and we did arrive early but there was not enough tables available for our group until 7:30 and we got there at 5! I have been to this Mellow Mushroom before with a large group and did not have any issues. Management needs to order some more utensils and have more servers for a Saturday night to start with! It should not take 20 minutes to get a drink and an hour to get salad and pizza! Their pizza is good but I won't be returning to this location!

Let me preface the rest of my review by condescendingly admitting I have traveled the world and had pizza on every corner of the earth. I love the pizza here, but their selection of beer is over the top. They have a very serious beer selection with 18 taps and a kaleidoscope of bottles and cans to choose from. I'm a huge fan of their spinach salad too. It's always very fresh and offsets all of the beer calories. The service is always fun and friendly. I always leave fat and happy. I've been going to Mellow Mushrooms for over 15 years in a bunch of different cities. This particular location stands out.

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Excellent food, atmosphere and service. We had the Mighty Meaty pizza and it was phenomenal! Our server was very attentive and we were never left needing anything. I will definitely return to this Mellow Mushroom every time I visit Mobile!!

I eat here pretty regularly and it never disappoints. The food takes a while to prepare but it is well worth the wait! The workers are very laid back and the atmosphere is casual.

Always at the bar. Great beer selection. Food is fresh. Ask for capt. Awesome.

Excellent, over the top service and the food was good as well. I wish I remembered our waiter's name but he was beyond excellent. We will be back!

Good micro and specialty beers....... food and pizza is good. Service is average at best. I like sitting at the bar where the service is much better

Pretty good pizza and reasonable appetizers too. I've been here a few times with friends & coworkers and the atmosphere is decent. Combine that with a decent beer and reasonably good pizza (nothing will compete with Chicago or NY Style pizza) and it's a good night.

Great place!!! good beer, cool vibe, and amazing pizza!! I don't know what Elizabeth is talking about... Let me preface the rest of my review by condescendingly admitting I have traveled the world and had pizza on every corner of the earth. Pizza is made in different places with a completely different concept for taste, texture, and overall style. Mellow mushroom hits the nail on the head. Great job guys!!!

The service has improved x 1million. The food is still awesome. I love you Midtown Mellow Mushroom. This is my go-to place because it's always great.

Best pizza in Mobile by far!

LOVE this Mellow Mushroom, especially because they offer vegan cheese and the Mobile Mediterranean pizza is AWESOME. Kinda pricey, but definitely gourmet style pizza and so worth it!

Some of the tastiest pizza I've ever had, this place is great for vegetarians like myself because they have a huge variety of yummy meatless dishes. The staff is made up of young, friendly hipsters who are fast and attentive.

Very undecided about what I was going to eat that evening and thought of this place and glad I did. I will make another trip here.
