Heroes is a nice sports bar off Hillcrest, far enough away from Airport Blvd to make access to the spacious parking lot easy and convenient. This is a standard sports bar, carries all the NFL games on sundays, carries the local college games and will set a corner TV to a different game for you on request (provided Alabama's not playing). Decent bar food, good drink pours, and good selection of draft and bottled beer. This isn't really a place I would frequent regularly because it's a bit out of the way from my normal work/home commute, but what keeps drawing me back (usually for a to-go order) are the wings. The spicy cajun wings are wonderful! Thick and juicy wings... not the shriveled over-cooked things you might find at a different sports bar... and the cajun rub is excellent! I usually take home a mixed order of spicy cajun and spicy buffalo wings so I'll have extra to snack on later. Another nice find here is the tuna sandwich. Served on a club/kaiser style roll, you can get the tuna steak grilled or blackened. Either way I've had it is delicious. A couple of side come with the sandwiches, I suggest the baked beans and fruit cup as a good way to round out a surprisingly healthy bar meal.

Good food and good service! We are rarely disappointed when we go here. Wish they stayed open a lil longer, especially on weekends. Some of the best wings in town, plus their Clipper sandwich is outstanding!

A simple jewel.... food is pleantiful freshh and tasy...ambience, a sports bar or a local hangout..... what makes it so special is the service...the waitresses are more than friendly...they seem to be proud of the place and make sure you are happy....they recommend dishes (and they are always correct).... they truly make this a place to come....it can get busy but it is worth it if you have to wait.....

I have never left a negative review in my life and I do realize that this is not a Michelin starred restaurant, but dear me, I also think that you can expect some sort of standard when you go out to eat. Unfortunately, the standard at this restaurant was very poor. Where do I start? Having entered the restaurant, we had to wait for several minutes to be greeted and seated, when finally waitress said hi to us, or should i say to my husband only, in a very unproffesional flirty manner. She took us to our table, which was a very small square thing, with not much space for anything, and only about 20 cm away from another table, so actually we might as well join the tables together if we go next time (i don't think so !). The menu cards very ABSOLUTELY disgusting, covered in oil and all sorts of dirst with the foil peeling away from the paper . We ordered our drinks, and soon enough the 'over enthusiastic' waitress came back to take our orders , nearly siting down on my husbands lap AND I AM NOT JOKING ! The I had as my starter, was nothing more than chips with a bit of chesse on top, which cost me nearly 2 fivers ... We ordered our mains and ta dah! six minutes later (?!) they arrived.

Fun spot to watch Ky Derby last week. The margaritas were good. Had dinner after the race. Enjoyed the burgers. Lots of TV selections. Most all the sporting events were playing. Note to crowded on Sat evening. Clean and friendly. Would certainly go back again.

We went down there so we could watch the Seattle game this past weekend. All in all our experience was a really good one. They were happy to give us the game we wanted to see and I didn't even have to ask. They just came up and asked what game. The food was really good. I got the Major League Melt. I wanted the chili burger but their chili has beans in it and sorry, as a former Texan I don't do beans in beef chili. Anyway, the burger was really good except that I ordered it medium well and it was definitely on the rare side. I was starving so I ignored it. My husband got the buffalo wings and he loved them. Had we stayed, he would have ordered the Cajun wings but he wasn't feeling well that day so we had to leave. NOT food related, I must add. I got a margarita and I will say that it was a bit disappointing. It tasted quite weak. On the other hand, it was larger than I expected. Finally, the service was a bit slow. I don't know where our original waitress disappeared to, but the one who finished out our visit was a different one and I didn't think we'd ever get the check. Of course, I could have just walked up there to get someone's attention. They have a BUNCH of TV sets. There will be a place for you and your game, no matter what it is. They have a bunch of USA jerseys and such, since this is the college part of town. I was surprised (if not a little disappointed) to see that there were no college looking students there. Most looked to be their parents age. Maybe because it was a Sunday afternoon? Not sure. All in all I would recommend it so long as you're clear on how you want your meat cooked, and skip the margarita unless you like it on the weak side.

I think they are a little overpriced but overall a pretty good place to watch a game and have a few beers. Good staff and tasty wings.

This is a perfect place for a low-key lunch. The service is very casual and at times slow but everyone who waited on us (from the servers to the bartenders) were very polite. The atmosphere is casual. I came in after an afternoon flag-football game wearing sweaty gym clothes and face paint and didn't feel out of place. There are lots of big flat screen TVs playing sports. The food was very good and the portions were big for the price your pay. I got the fried shrimp basket for $9.50 and couldn't finish all of the food they gave me. OVERALL: Good food, great beer selection Service friendly but not great Come with friends to catch a game

Tried this place a few months after it opened, heard it had a good burger which I am always up for. I went for dinner, which was probably not the best choice. Very busy and there is not a lot of space so it took forever to get a table. Server didn't know what he was doing and ignored us for most of the meal. My burger was good but nothing special, overall not a place I would recommend but I will go back at a different time or day to see if this makes a difference.
