This was my first time eating at an Indian restaurant and I loved it! The staff was very friendly and informative. I am vegan and they had many options to choose from. All food is made fresh so you can remove certain ingredients as needed. Great service, yummy food- I'll be eating here again!

This was my first time trying Indian food and it was excellent. Our waiter was patient with us and very informative. The owner also stopped by the table and was very nice. My wife had the Masala Dosa and I had the Tandoori Sampler. Both were freshly prepared and excellent. We also had the garlic Naan bread (which was killer). We can't wait to come again!!

Really good food, doesn't have a menu yet but the buffet is a good sampling of indian foods toned down for we bland Americans. Enough spice to tempt you but not overwhelming. Good quick service and well decorated inviting atmosphere.

Ok, this restaurant is a mom and pop operation so it truly is rolling the dice. I have had authentic Indian cuisine all over and can differentiate between home cooked Flavors and Restaurant flavors. First observation upon entering the place at 12:30pm on a Saturday, I saw only one couple there, sort of raised my radar. Attentive is not a word to use here as my family and I had to look for a person in the back to let them know we were there....maybe because they were busy. Then again, there's only one table with guest of 2. Finally seated and began asking about recommendations...it was a struggle to say the least. Frustrated and a bit hungry, I elected to go with the buffet so t be quick. My wife ordered several items from the menu...vegetable marsala, bread, chicken soup and a meat platter. When that took too long she also grab the buffet. Here's the beef. The buffet was set up for exactly 2 skinny child, adding a third you would be standing there and wait for them to bring out more. Only meat on the buffet were the red chicken otherwise know as the chicken tanaka or something, that was as flavorful as microwave cooked frozen chicken. While the rice and the red sauce were acceptable (was hungry and that was all that were really available) everything else was basically multicolored variations of the "sauce". After eating my first plate, the vegetable marsala arrived. Looks great, nice and golden brown. My wife bit into it to find it was frozen SOLID inside. I immediately looked for the waitress to ask for our check. She finally came out and I asked her to touch the center and she acted surprised, ok. By this time, the rest of our order have not arrived and I didn't care if it did or not. I just wanted to leave and get my family to a place to eat . As we were trying to tell her to get us the check for EVERYTHING, the soup came out. My daughter took 1 sip and said lets go ! The server was trying to get us to take our order with us and we said no thank you kindly. The reason for me reviewing on here is because, a friend of mine on FB had recommend this place on a thread. When I got home I replied to him on there with the owners tagged, it was promptly deleted. Keep in mind it was not that public. But when they did that, I was prompted to get the word out on the habitual epic failures of people who do not know how to run a restaurant much less a ethnic restaurant that requires skillful cooking knowledge . Do not recommend this place.

Tasty food, great service, spectacular and comfortable decor. The chef/owner came to our table and chatted with us a bit. The naan bread is simply the best I've ever had (and I've had homemade at my friend's house in high school). If you like REALLY spicy, you'll have to ask to have the spice pot brought to you at the table because she has such a deft hand with the spices that even her "spicy" was still kinda tame for a fire eater like me. One small drawback is that the glass tabletops slide around and the one at our table was copped pretty badly on the corner, it was covered with tape to keep from cutting anyone, but that's all that kept me from giving 5 stars.

I've been to many Indian restaurants all over the country and I have to say this was one of the best. (Disclaimer: I've only been there once). Everything is made on site as far as I can tell, and is fresh and expertly spiced to taste. We got the butter chicken, the vegetarian Royal Dinner, and the noon-vegetarian Royal Dinner. The Royal Diners are awesome because you get a little taste of lots of different dishes, as well as dessert. The bryiani was awesome with lots of flavors and textures, and the rice pudding was delicate and creamy with fresh cardamom. The owners took wonderful care of us, bringing extras and even a balloon for the baby. I would definitely recommend this Indian restaurant!

I enjoyed the fact we drove 30 minutes to go there for Sunday lunch and there was a paper sign on the door letting us know they weren't open for Sunday lunch. Update your website and Facebook. I checked both to make sure it would be open. I won't be making that drive again.

This place is great! We have been coming here since if opened and were sad to leave it behind when we moved to D.C. The food here is better than most of the Indian places we've tried in D.C. since the move and we always come back when in town.

Four of us each had a differ dish and each tasted great Though the chicken tikka masala was a stand out Service was great and overall a great experience and great food

Lunch buffet was not well stocked. Food was cold. Flavor was fairly good. Service was weak. I do not like the booth seats. Some are short and uncomfortable. I had to move. Everything covered in plastic. Reminds me of my grandmothers house. Not good reminder. Not worth the price and will find somewhere else next time.

Great place. Fresh food and a nice owner which is extremely rare these days. Give this one a try. Just what Mobile needs. We had the lunch buffet and it was great. Of course they also have a full menu.

I've been to the few "Indian" restaurants here in town and this is by far the best. I had the buffet, that while small was extremely good, as well as a plate of the lamb briyani. All of it was excellent. They serve fresh naan that is exceptional. I got to spend a little time talking with the owner and he shared how they only use the freshest, authentic ingredients and you can tell by the taste of the food. I enjoy Indian and have eaten at quite a few and this ranks near the top. The decor is nice and the place is clean. Over all I feel this place is a great addition to the Mobile dining scene and I look forward to going back.

The 2nd worst Indian restaurant I've ever been too! The first, yAK being in Mobile as well. How do you run out of rice and chx tikka Masala and not refill the lunch Buffett pans in 30 min? Food quality was poor and minimally spiced. I had read earlier that you could do better Indian by going to the frozen food section of your grocery store, and he was right. The only thing pleasant about the experience was the nice young man who was the host, from Kenya. He deserves more and should move on! My visit was from out of state on business. I've eaten Indian food for 30 yrs, extensively in the US and less freq around the globe.
