Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Food was really good but the staff is a little off the field. I think our waiter was stoned and then this other one was extremely creepy.

I like Buck's. The pizza is good, the cheese bread is awesome, and the price is reasonable. But I came for lunch today, and the service was deplorable. Not only did the waitress get our order wrong. She argued that she was right and we were wrong. No refills. Wrong food. Slow service. Too much to ignore. I'm not a negative reviewer by trade, but employee 20 was too bad to ignore. PS the food that we did get was tasty. Just wrong

Good location. Good pizza and a pretty large menu. Service wasn't great and the place needs some background music or something. Kinda awkward where I felt like everyone could hear the conversations.... Location is key for this place but with no outside seating and a strange atmosphere inside I don't know if it will be high on my list to return. I enjoyed the food and the menu looked good so I may be back but, it doesn't really draw you in like some places do. I would love to see a little live music or atleast something louder, maybe a few more TVs, a better wait staff, and honestly, the sign was slightly hard to see and not very inviting.

Friendly service, good pizza! The buffalo chicken is my favorite and their cinnamon sticks are really good too.

Can I give it a half star? We had pizza delivered to our hotel in downtown Mobile. Spent $54.00 on what seemed like frozen pizza and a side salad with brown lettuce. I know Mobile must have better pizza places. STAY AWAY

I waited over an hour for a calzone, because the "new" person dropped TWO of them before they got it right. The manager gave me a coupon for a free pizza on my next visit... OKay, that's fine. I go back a week later, after calling in my order.. to redeem my coupon and the other "manager" refused to accept the coupon, because the issuing manager was not there... Eventually after I raised hell he redeemed said coupon because I think he could see I was not going anywhere until they made good on their mistake, as well as other customers saying it wasn't right how he was talking to me. Never going back there again! The pizza sucked, btw. Glad it was free! I see why the one on cottage hill went out of business. LOL.

Rec'd by the Admiral Semmes Hotel. Took 1 hr 25 min to deliver. Cold. Soggy. Mediocre pizza. They are 2 blocks from the hotel.

Went to eat on Father's Day at 5:30pm, got a table, waited for almost an hour, no one came to take order for almost an hour, left at 6:30 without getting any service! Probably worst service I've ever got in my life...

Great place! The first thing you'll notice is the size and unique decor. Buck's size and ample space is a nice break from the cramped dining rooms of other Mobile restaurants. Start with the Homemade Hot Chips. They are hot, golden and crispy with a side of garlic ranch sauce. They are like $3 and they are money. The pizza is excellent! The ingredients are fresh and the crust is near perfect. I would recommend it to the hardest of the hardcore pizza connoisseurs. Opt for at least the 9" small though, the personal pizza isn't much bigger than a Bagel Bite. I would also recommend the wings. They truly are "Jumbo" and they are smothered in flavor. They are fried wings which makes for a delectably crispy exterior. If you're looking for heat though, the hottest "Hot" wings are medium at best. The service is prompt and accommodating. This would be a great place for a date or a large dinner/lunch party. I will definitely go back!

As I sit, I am waiting for my check. I have been waiting for 30 long minutes. It's like they don't value customer service. The food is great (chicken club pizza), but the waiter is too busy kissing a private party's rear end. Won't be coming back. Ever.

We attempted to order a pizza and a Friday night. After being told to wait five minutes on hold three consecutive times, we called in the phone rang endlessly with no answer. Hard to believe that a pizza place on a Friday night would be this understaffed. 20 minutes trying to order a pizza to no avail. Will definitely be calling another pizza place from now on!

I came in with a table of 11 for dinner on a slow Saturday night. After 10 minutes we sat ourselves to a table, which was dirty, and waited over 10 more minutes for it to be cleaned of dishes and wiped down. We ordered our drinks, appetizers, and main entrees at once. It took our waiter 20 minutes to bring waters to our table. When he finally returned, our mixed drinks were awful. We were also told that the bar was out of well liquor and we would be up charged for a top shelf liquor. After nearly an hour of being at Buck's, out waiter brought our entrees out before the salads and appetizers. We asked to speak to the manager, and our server tells us that he's the manager. We express our disappointment about the service and he never apologized for the slow service or his rude behavior. Instead he made excuses and was very disrespectful. The food was okay, not worth the wait. When the checks came, we were automatically charged an 18% gratuity that our waiter clearly did not earn or deserve. None of us will ever be back again. We told everyone coming into the restaurant to turn around and to anywhere else. I just wish someone would have told us the same.

Group of 11. Starts off taking an hour to get our waters. I got our own menus. Wrote down our drink orders because abput 20 min has passed. Our server was the manager. He was rude to one of us then proceeded to tell her that there was nothing he needed to apologize for and if we wanted our food then don't keep complaining(as he's holding our food over our table) the restaurant has 5 other tables yet he says we have a full house. He also said he can take our food back and see if they can remake it faster. What? We have to go up to bar to get margaritas first round. Second he brings them out in martini glasses because they are all dirty. One of us got our margarita in a water glass. It was straight tequila. The server/manager tasted the margarita out of her glass after she said she couldn't drink it.. he agreed. We got nothing comped. Food was good but the experience was unacceptable. Charged for an extra ranch that I didn't order. Was grated 18% not suggested gratuity. Appetizer and salads came 20 min after food.

Great pizza. Prices could be a little better, but would definitely go here again

I thought Buck's downtown was pretty good. Service was a little slow, but I thought the pizza was quite good. I've had much better, but considering there is NOWHERE ELSE to get a decent pizza in this town, I think Mobilians should take what they have and count their blessings. Just call ahead to skip the wait.

So sad. One of the best pizza places in town. But the service is the worst I've ever had. Incredibly slow and drink are rarely refilled and the always seem ignored. But I tried to go again tonight. They were a little busier than usualy. But there should not be a 10-15 minute wait on a table for dinner. I counted 7 tables for us to sit at. It was ridiculous. We left and went to the much better mellow mushroom in midtown. Like I said, good pizza, deplorable service.

We didn't have the pizza, but I did have the baked cheese sticks(cheesy breadsticks) and they were good. They have lots of beers. Good location and I liked the atmosphere.

Seemed like your average pizza joint. Had the cheese sticks and pizza rolls but nothing really to write home about. The wait staff seemed to be fighting amongst themselves in the back. It didnt deemed to be managed well on a saturday night. Lots of tables still unclean for the 30-45mins we were there and not a whole lot of customers in the resturant either. Don't know what was up.

Staying in town for business. Ordered for delivery. Very nice person answered and took my order, came in about 25 mins (I'm staying in downtown). The BBQ chicks pizza was delicious! Generous amounts of chicken and bacon, tangy sauce, love the crust...very awesome experience. Will order again.
