After the great food but unprofessional service, we promised that we'd never return to this Midtown restaurant. A recent Farm To Table event at Five Rivers was a great reminder of what a talent the chef truly is. Stuffed quail eggs with small salad, just wonderful. I hope this talented chef gets the front of house support they deserve. If your patient, you might have a wonderful experience here.

Im surprised this place gets such goods reviews. I'll have to give it a second shot for dinner. Just returned from brunch and it was horrible. The waite staff was very unorganized. There were only about 6 choices on the brunch menu and all of them were centered around breakfast only, with the exception of the shrimp and grits (this can be served anytime of the day), no option for anything less "breakfastie". We were served bread that was cold on the inside with cold butter and no bread plates, we had to ask for those. Some of the waitresses seemed very preoccupied with trying to redress the tables with brown paper that customers were left unattended. Our waitress, although very nice, spent much of her time preparing mimosas and bloody Mary's. I would also make sense to bring tea refills to the table rather than taking the glasses to the back to refill. Towards the end of our meal she finally caught on to this. We ordered, shrimp and grits $14, which were not bad but not plentiful either (3 shrimp) no sides at all. Some in our party ordered eggs benedict, the eggs your way plate, and some sort of ham on bread with a runny egg on top. The food was very plain, only a few dishes came with a side of fruit. Absolutely no dessert to speak of. Take a good look at Cafe 615's brunch menu. This is what brunch should look like.

My husband and I have gone to Bistro twice and both times the food and service was a excellent. We started with a delicious rabbit in a puff pastry. It was tender and delicious with sweet and savory flavors. For dinner I had the duck tenderloin with fig and apricot sauce. The duck was cooked perfectly the sauce was a perfect compliment to the lightly gamie favor of the duck. Dessert we have the chocolate lava cake. It was moist and delicious and a perfect end to a wonderful meal.

Nice hidden gem in midtown. I went here by myself after my friends bailed on our girls night. I ordered the filet and I was not disappointed. It was HUGE and delicious. The waitress and the owner were very hospitable. I will be back. Maybe for brunch tomorrow?! Oh and I also ordered the flourless chocolate dessert...it melted in my mouth.

Just finished one of the best meals of my life here! The service was incredible, the ambiance was impeccable, and the food... The food! The food was insanely great! We began with perfectly cooked escargot which was just the right size for two people to share. Then we ordered what would be pretty standard everywhere: Caesar Salad. The Caesar salad here comes on a plate under a sort of crispy cone-dome of Parmesan drizzled with balsamic vinegar. The creative presentation is only matched by the incredible taste. Our main course was the most perfectly cooked filet you will find. It had a nice crispy outside with succulent inside and is topped with the perfect modest amount of cheese and mushrooms. We finished it all with a crime brûlée that was to die for. In short, if you are not eating here, what are you doing with your life? Put down your phone and grab a reservation with open table (did I mention that they are one of the few tech-savvy restaurants in mobile to use open table? So, yeah. Eat here.

My wife and I have been there twice and absolutely loved the food both times. really cool place in Mid-town Mobile, hope that area continues to have places like this to eat. Definitely recommend.

Went to Bistro for Valentine's for a four course meal. Food was excellent, but the service was poor. The wait staff served the table next to us, which sat down 20 minutes after us, before us on the main and dessert courses. Hard to fathom in such a small restaurant. Didn't leave until 15 minutes after that table. Overall, very frustrating considering it was a fixed menu.

I have only been once but since Bistro is now on my "gotta go again - and soon!!" list hopefully I can up it soon. This is a fun little midtown restaurant. The menu is sophisticated (it changes weekly), but the space is warm and inviting. On my first trip (this is a dinner-only place) we had the braised rabbit with phyllo (every bite melted in my mouth) the tomato tower (almost to gorgeous to eat) followed by entrees. I could not pass up the New Zealand lamb with chutney. Heaven! My friend had the filet stuffed with garlic and cream cheese. It sounded a bit rich to me, but the bite I got was perfect. Presentation is a 10+++. Bistro is doing something called "Tuesday Tastings" that looks like it is a coursed meal with pairings. I report soon. There is Sunday Brunch, at least for Mother's Day, and I will make reservations for that today. There were absolutely no negatives and the other diners were pleasant, as was service. This is a small space, so I would recommend reservations.
