Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

LOL@ kAITLIN... I had the exact same reaction when I went in here for the first time a month ago...I had on my blue jeans and polo shirt...and once I sat down, I was like..."ahh hell...was I supposed to wear a jacket in here?" Very VERY upscale decor for an Asian restaurant. Portions could be a bit larger for what I ordered, but good quality. Very relaxing, and really would love to find out where they got those awesome light fixtures from....WOW! And I agree with other posters...Id give them a 5 star if they improved on the fried rice...its like that one little thing holding them back from a perfect 5 star rating.

This is now one of my favorite restaurants in Mobile. Consistently good, freshly prepared food. The Pad Thai is the best I have had outside of Thailand.

Asian Garden is an excellent Chinese restaurant. The atmosphere is perfect for small gatherings of close friends. With such dim lighting it would also be the perfect place for a romantic dinner. The furniture is elegant and the tables are small. The food took forever, it seemed, but was well worth the wait. The waitresses were all very nice and made the experience that much better. The sweet and sour chicken was fried at least twice and was extremely crispy without being all that greasy. The sweet and sour sauce tied it all together. It was a more subtle sauce than the usual sauces that are always too sickeningly sweet. Asian Garden has definitely perfected that recipe. The orange chicken was also quite exquisite. It has a pure orange flavor that left a heavenly aftertaste. The pieces of orange that were in it were extravagantly sweet. The fried rice was full of fresh vegetables and even had an egg drop in it. The wall decorations were even more oriental than the food. There was a huge fan on one wall that had a majestic bird painted on it. The back wall was ornamented with two gold robes that were beautifully hand embroidered with intricate designs of birds and flowers. The furniture, of course, was more modern and very comfortable. The tables were sized conveniently for small groups of diners. There was a single table that would hold more than five people. This intimate set-up encourages a cozy atmosphere where patrons can feel at ease. Another encouraging aspect were the amazing waitresses. The waitresses were all very nice. A few of them were more difficult to understand, but they were patient and always smiling. Even when people asked them incessantly to repeat themselves, they spoke just as sweetly as they did the first time. When they brought out the food, the waitresses actually remembered what everyone had ordered, most waitresses don't. They didn't bring us the check until we asked for it. There was no urge on their part to clear their tables for more people. All the women very kindheartedly wish everyone goodbye when they leave. They all just briefly stop what they are doing to make sure you leave with a lasting impression. Great food, great atmosphere, and great service make any restaurant experience a positive one. Asian Garden has a dedicated workforce of waitresses. Their chefs cook the best Chinese in town. The décor really tied it all together to make customers feel right at home. This restaurant should be on everybody's go-to list.

Good quality food, good variety, nice portion size. Comfortable seating, nice atmosphere, good service. My go-to place for Chinese in Mobile.

Placed an order for pick up, so I can't speak to the ambience of this place. However, I did notice the white linen on the table while I sat at the bar waiting for my order. That was unexpected, the place is in a strip mall. Called in an order and it was ready within 20 minutes. A lot of bang for your buck, so much food! Had the vegetable spring rolls (2 to an order). Get these, they were tasty! Also ordered was the Pork Lo Mein, General Tso's Chicken, and the Shanghai Chicken. Really enjoyed the Shanghai Chicken, cooked well and nice flavor. Watch out for the red chilies! It would be a mistake to eat a whole pepper in one bite! With just a nibble, my lips and tongue started to tingle. The fried rice was good too. Did it blow my mind? Well, no. But, it was a really yummy and filling meal! I would certainly order from here again if I lived nearby.

Best restaurant in Mobile. Great food and fantastic service. The Mongolian beef and the Bulgogi Are two outstanding dishes. Everything we have eaten there has been very good.

Very confused why people like this place so much. The service was good, but the food was god awful! I went back a second time to see if I happened to get a bad meal, but no, same results.

This place is right down the street from my apartment, so I thought I would give it a try. I am so glad I did because it's wonderful! I ordered General Tso's Chicken and it was seriously some of the best I have ever had.

Stopped here on a trip from Panama City. Had been craving Chinese for a while because there aren't any good restaurants where we live. Chose this place for the good reviews. Good selection of large affordable meals for lunch. Service was warm, genuine and friendly. Place looks pretty nice though needed to be swept from lunch rush I guess. Food was good, flavorful and fresh tasting, though fried rice was a bit overcooked. Came out nice and hot. The only weird thing was the shrimp. The staff told us they were local, and truth be told, they looked like it. They were fresh and mild like gulf shrimp. But they handed us our lunches in a box cut into a tray, and it reads Vannamei white shrimp, frozen from India, farm raised, 21/25. Would have ordered beef had we known this prior to ordering! Overall was good, so we forgive them, but urge change to the honesty of ingredients and employees.

Love their food because it tastes amazing. we always order their Singapore noodles and they give you plenty. Their customer service is much better than other Chinese restaurants.

Soooooo good. Looks very nice on the inside. Very nice servers. Tom yum soup was great. Bangkok curry shrimp and fried squid was good too. The gen tso chicken wasnt so great. A bit dry. But all around good place to go. Gonna make this my ONLY asian food spot.

Went there with a friend before the lunch crowd hit. Got our drinks promptly. Both ordered hot&sour soup for app which was excellent, my only note would be they used baby bellas instead of shiitakes in the soup. The rangoons were very delicious and fresh, the sauce was ok. The egg rolls were ok, nothing special. I ordered Kung Pao shrimp - fresh veggies, plump shrimp, somewhat slimy sauce and a little too spicy to my taste - in the end, all I could taste was the spice. My friend chose General Tso's chicken. Well .... we are used to high end Fresh Market chicken and this piece of meat just did not cut it. It was not the preparation, it was the poor Sysco quality of the product --- fail, Fail, FAIL. It was prepared right - the coating and the sauce were perfect but the chicken itself was stringy and tough. We do understand that their prices reflect the cost and will have to be more careful next time, maybe go for a veggie dish? Rice coming with the meal was ok, somewhat on overcooked side. The service was very friendly and accommodating. We had a feeling that they needed one more helper -- new diners were lining up at the door while we and 2 other tables were desperate to get our bills and get out. Had they managed that part better, there would be no line. We will probably give them another try - these guys are trying very hard and they do cook their food fresh from scratch. Hopefully we'll be able to fine tune our choices and tune out some of the poorer quality ingredients.

A lot of my Asian friends had given me bad reviews about this place but I know how fickle they are so I wanted to give it a try for myself. Glad I did. The food isn't superb but its a better quality than what you would be served at a buffet. I was there for their lunch service and was blown away by their lunch special. Dishes were $6.50 with an app and soup with the selection you made. How can you beat that? The mini crab rangoons in the app were great, the egg roll was ok (never been a fan of the Chinese cabbage egg rolls). I got the wonton soup with the Shanghai Chicken. My girlfriend ordered the Mongolian Beef with the sweet and sour soup. Soups were decent, nothing to brag about. The Shanghai chicken was good. They said it was spicy but if you didn't eat the chilies the chicken was cooked with, you couldn't taste any heat. The Mongolian Beef dish was pretty good too. I need to come back for their dinner service, but this is a great place to have a quick cheap lunch where you won't leave smelling like a buffet!

Happy that this little spot was turned into a good Chinese place. Close to home out in West Mobile. After reading the reviews on Yelp, I took the advice of others and we ordered the lettuce wraps, fried dumplings and General Tso Chicken ( could of had a bit more spicy heat) I agree that the fried rice lacks a bit of flavor - but is fresh. The decor inside is unexpected and lovely ( posted pic). I am looking forward to coming back at lunch for their $6.50 specials so I can try their other dishes too.

Tried this restaurant out last night and the food exceeded my expectation First off, the prices are very reasonable. I had the Chicken Pad Thai. The portion of this dish was more than I expected to receive for the price and it was also very tasty. My wife had the Shanghai Chicken with fired rice. The chicken side of the meal had nice flavor/seasoning. The fried rice on the other hand could have been better. The staff were all nice and friendly. We were greeted immediately upon entering. Nothing bad to say about Asian Garden. I'm sure we'll dine there again and order takeout on days when we don't cook.

Best Chinese in Mobile. Fresh vegetables, no super sweet sauces like the others. Original and different menu. Get the chicken lo mein. Great grilled taste.

Ummm, JACKPOT! This placei s right around the corner from my apartment, but I never ventured in. For a while there was newspapers in the window, and it looked really dirty and shady. However, this was due to their remodeling. The place is anything but shady and dirty, it is really beautiful on the inside. Honestly, when my sister and I went in we felt under dressed because it has beautiful chandeliers, upholstered seats, and a completely remodeled dining room. I ordered hot tea which was brought out in my own personal tea pot that sat over a lit tea light candle to keep my tea warm, which I thought was a cute touch. The restaurant is very reasonable prices with the entrees ranging in prices from $8-$12 a plate. We had the wonton soup which was really great. I ordered the Mongolian beef that was OK, but probably wouldn't order it again because it lacked sauce and was a bit tough. However, my sister order the General Tso Chicken, and it was phenomenal! My sister and I agreed that this place was going to be our new go-to restaurant when we want to go out for a nice dinner without breaking the bank. We had 2 soups, 1 order of pot stickers, 2 entrees, hot tea, and a soda and it came to $33. Super cheap, and good chinese food!
