I had a fairly disappointing meal from one of the other locations of LawLers Express. Mr. Kelly, manager/partner, contacted me after my review, took interest in my comments and concerns, and offered compensation for my displeasing experience. I promised him I would return to give it another try. I have to give this business special credit for taking such an interest in their customers and really showing care and concern for the product they sell. Kudos to them. I was in the area so I picked up an order from this location on my way home for dinner. I ordered BBQ Nachos and a Sampler Plate for my husband and I to share. I like that the nachos have the nacho cheese dip. It's not like other BBQ nachos I've had, this one's more like what you'd want if you were watching a ball game. Decent amount of meat for the plate size. Reasonable price $5.77. Would be a very good lunch. I am so glad I got the Sampler Plate. It comes with pork, turkey, ham, 1/4 slab ribs, 3 sauces, 2 sides, and a roll. It's expensive, and maybe not quite worth $15.97 just because of the portion size of each item in the box seems really small. I measured the meat when I got home because I was curious about the size and it was ~2 oz of each of the shredded meats (pork, ham, and turkey). But I guess the cost is because of the meat variety? The reason I'm glad I got it is because I got to try most of the meats they offered to determine what I liked the best. - the pork had a little better flavor than my last experience. Mr. Kelly suggested I try the rib sauce, a thicker style sauce, since I didn't care for the vinegar sauce and it really made a huge difference. -The ham was moist and flavorful, a little sweet. Didn't need sauce. - The ribs were tender, fall off da bone!. They had an excellent smoke flavor. The dry rub was tasty and finger licking good. *-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------* -The star of the meats was by far the turkey. I've never had smoked turkey that tasted good enough for me to drool over. It was actually juicy and had a perfect smoke flavor. It didn't need sauce (shocker, turkey's usually dry) but the white sauce they serve is the best I've had since I've been voyaging through North Alabama. It's thicker and more mayo based than the runny sauce other restaurants serve and has a peppery kick. -I also ordered the potato salad after asking the cashier if it was mayo or mustard based. She told me it was both, yay! That's the way we make it roun' her'. I have to say, this is probably the best potato salad I've ever had from a restaurant-mainly because it tastes similar to how momma makes it. I love the perfect combo of mayo and mustard, the finely diced onion and celery that's not overwhelming but a nice surprising burst of flavor, and the soft cubes of potato. *-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------* - I ordered the baked beans despite my previous experience in hopes they would redeem themselves. They did. They were way more flavorful than what I had from the other location. They are slightly sweet which my husband doesn't care for but I was pleased with the overall flavor. They also have a little meat in them for my fellow carnivores. -The roll was a little stale tasting this time but I could seriously just do without it anyway. Everything else just completely overshadows it. Would I get the sampler plate again? No. My ideal meal here would be turkey with white sauce and potato salad The reason it's on my Top 100 Dishes to Try list: Smoked Turkey with white sauce List: The BEST potato salad, smoked turkey, and white bbq sauce I've ever had (in a restaurant).

Awesome baked potato with Ham and the works. This is serious comfort food and I wouldn't try them for at least a year, if not more. Thank the lord I finally did. The Ribs, pulled pork, green beans and slaw are also my favs. Still really miss the Chicken, though, as they only serve it in Athens, I understand.

STUFFIES. What's not to love - potato, butter, turkey or bbq. Yum! Lawler's food is good but the secret is the staff. They are there to please and even entertain. If I want a sandwich packaged to take to work for lunch the next day, they do that. If I want some stuff on my stuffy but some stuff on the side, they do that. When I want rib sauce with my bbq, they don't blink. Love meeting friends here. The staff is casual and accommodating and they let me and my friends hang out and catch up as long as we want.

Beans were the only thing good. Everything else was just okay. For a $15 sampler plate I was expecting to be wowed.

One of the finest BBQ restaurants in this area. Their pulled pork is outstanding, moist and full of smokey flavor. Their ribs are just as good. And I also enjoy their pulled turkey sandwhch. Their sides are flavorful and consistent. And the workers are always friendly and helpful. Don't worry about waiting; they serve the food before you can turn around.

The service was amazing! Their loaded mash potato had pulled pork, cheese and sour cream. Their beans were tasty and more importantly, these folks know how to BBQ! Their lemonade was also excellent! I highly recommend this place!

Very friendly service. Pork is always tender. Great sweet tea. I love the drive thru, and the restaurant is always clean. Try the slaw on a pork sandwich, it will rock your world! They have a daily deal, check them out! :-)

Delicious food, efficient service and great employees who are always polite, friendly and engaging with the customers! This is my favorite location by far! The restaurant and bathrooms inside are always clean, and while I always enjoy the quiet atmosphere, on game days it is nice to see so many families and groups of friends get together there. Keep up the great work!!
