Poor waitress was running around like crazy but she pulled it off. Food was outstanding and exactly as we ordered. What an upgrade from the bad restaurant that was in this location before (Taj Mahal)! I want to come back soon for the lunch buffet.

I personally love this place. When you ask for spicy you get spicy. The food is delicious & priced reasonably for an Indian restaurant.

We loved the place. The special we tried was awesome and great tea. We're looking forward to the next opportunity.

Had lunch for the first time today. Lunch buffet was delicious with plenty of selections to choose from. Will definitely visit soon again.

I've been to the buffet here 3 times now, and the food has been consistently excellent. Everyone I've brought with me has been equally impressed with the selection, quality, and freshness of the food at the buffet. Sadly, 2 of the times I was there were during the work week, and there were very few people eating there at lunch time. It was a little busier on the weekend. But this is not a very good location for a restaurant as it is on a busy 4-lane divided highway, and it is not visible from the road. The sign isn't really adequate to draw people in. I know of at least one other restaurant in this area that struggles for the same reason. I hope word gets out so that business picks up for them. It really is one of the tastiest restaurants in the area.

Good food-- the quality was very authentic, but I would have liked to see more selection on the buffet. I believe you can order from the menu as well, but we chose the buffet. The food is authentic and the place is clean and has a good atmosphere. The buffet that day offered classic Indian dishes like Chicken masala, fish and chicken curry, naan, jasmine rice and other various dishes. Good quality; buffet price was about $12/person. Will go back to see if they begin adding more dishes to choose from.

Best Indian in Huntsville, best Indian lunch buffet in the world. Seriously, the buffer is almost as good as the menu. The Chai tea and Mango Lassis are excellent, and the lamb meatballs are unique and awesome.

My wife and I go here at least once a week and the food is outstanding. The service and hostess is fantastic, the best Indian food we have had in Huntsville.

Best Indian buffet in the town. I moved to Huntsville from Ann Arbor recently and was pretty depressed about the quality of Indian food in this area. I visited this place for dinner and was very disappointed. But one weekend I walked in for lunch buffet and was well and truly blown away. Especially for vegetarians the food was super fresh and delicious. Every weekend I am visiting this place now.

Amazing. The food is beyond flavorful and has a good variety. It's one of our favorite spots. The staff is great and they have Bali videos playing on a big screen tv.

This place is quite good we usually go during buffet hours, Sitar is still my favorite but I do like this place as well. There always seem to be Indian waiters roaming around but half the time they are forgetting to check on you. I head to go grab a pitchur of water last time so I could fill up my own glass. I think the guys have not owned a restaurant before. Also, last time we went the was an Indian family eating and all the waiters were very focused ace affective to them but ignoring us for the most part. That being said the food is pretty good. I will be back.

This place is a gem! The food was great and service was exceptional, and the price was reasonable. The buffet offers a large selection of entrees and the menu does too. My wife ordered the Shrimp Saag and said it was one of the best meals she's ever had. The waiter was super nice and kept our glasses refilled without us having to ask.

I've stopped here several times for dinner and never been disappointed. The food is delicious and filling. I especially like the naan bread and chicken vindeloo but there are lots of delicious items on the menu. The only reason they don't get five stars is that the service can be a little slow sometimes.

Best Indian food in Madison/Huntsville. I always eat the lunch buffet. It never disappoints. All the naan you want plus mango lassie included with the buffet. The tiki masala is always on the bar and is excellent while other entrees rotate. There is always a good selection.

We went here last night and loved it. We were a little put off by the fact nobody was there, but the food was wonderful. The bagara baingan had a wonderful flavor and the garlic naan had the perfect crispness. This place must have some sort of relation to India Cafe on Airport Rd because it has the same menu. It's a shame that nobody else seems to appreciate the place.

Best Indian in town, one of my go-to's, been there for both dinner and lunch buffet. I don't understand why this place isn't busier than it should be. The selection is great and they cook it to exactly how spicey you need it. Great chai tea as well!

I love the food here. The Aloo Mutter is just perfect, and I'll be returning a lot to enjoy it. The service was interesting. There was just one guy helping the three tables there. He did not speak pretty much the entire time we were there (with the exception of clarifying what we ordered.) He was really slow. As in, you're going to wait for a soda for at least ten minutes. I've gotten the food to go as well. Whatever the flat, thin bread is they serve as a free appetizer (not Naan,) is delicious. If you order food to go, you don't get that which was an unfortunate surprise when I got home. With all that said, I still recommend the place just becuase the food is good. That's what's important to me.

I've been here many times in the evening, and the highlight is the vegetable samosa. It's plump, almost twice as big as its competition on Jordan Lane. It's starchy, crisp, light but filling, spicy, perfect. Unfortunately, in the last few visits, the level of heat on my orders have been off. I used to order a 3, then it was too hot, so I went down to a 2+ and it was even hotter, and I figured the chef was confused. HAHA. Aside from the spiciness of the food, the waitress is chatty, friendly and efficient. The lamb is nice as are the vegetables dishes. BUT, I could come in and JUST eat samosas and drink mango lassie.

We absolutely love this place! If you go at dinner, you order your dish off of the menu and you can specify how spicy or mild you want your food cooked. However, we prefer to go to the lunch buffet so we can eat a variety of dishes in one go. The staff is always polite and on top of things. Also, there are plenty of great vegetarian options, which makes this one of our favorite places to go when my brother and his wife come to town.

Food was decent. Samosas were very good. My butter chicken was ok but not the best I've had. The mango lassi was ok at best. However, the service was just god awful. The ordering process was confusing because the waiter kept repeating what were getting incorrectly. When the food came, he got one of the orders wrong but insisted that they do not change orders. Will not return because of the service.

Excellent food with just the right amount of spice. The lunch buffet offers a wide variety of very delicious authentic Indian meat curries, rice, and vegetables.

Ok let me state first, the review is for the food not the service. This is a leisure meal. The service is slow and spotty, but oh my god the food. The Indians come from a European influence and meals are generally not rushed. I also think that this is a mom and pop place that maybe doesn't understand much English. Now oh my god the food. Chicken 69 as San appetizer was great. I ordered the Tandoori chicken and it was perfectly seasoned. I'll probably order the hot not the medium next time. The Chicken Khadai my girlfriend ordered was as good as you get anywhere. The Garlic Naan was a great accompaniment to our food.

A very nice dinner experience. The joint itself is open clean and bright. The single waiter although I experienced was attentive and had his timing down about knowing when to fill your glass or take the order. I came here because places like this make everything from scratch and try are family run. That means they really care that you enjoy yourself so you tell your friends and return often. The Samosa were made from scratch even the dough it's apparent. The price point was out excellent $4 bucks for 2. I had the lamb Biryani and they asked me how spicy I said let er rip. it was so mild I fed some to a baby and it asked for hot sauce. Point is their hot aint hot. There wasn't much lamb in it either however there was enough to call it a lamb dish. That said the meal was excellent even the Indian music in the background wasn't horrible. This is a good choice if you want something exotic bit you fear the unknown.

My first time at an Indian restaurant in the US today! I've always had and loved South Indian food in Singapore, but never really had North Indian. I enjoyed everything that my husband and I ordered. We had the chicken vindaloo, coconut chicken and garlic naan. They were all good. My husband is picky with curries; he doesn't like anything with super strong spices. But he ended up liking both chicken dishes. I also got the mango lassi, which was really thick and tasted okay, but wasn't cold enough. The service was really slow. There was only one waiter for the entire place (but only 6 tables were occupied). Wouldn't go there if I was in a hurry! ETA: They need to work better on cleaning their dishes. My glass had a lipstick stain (yuck!). I asked for a straw but the waiter gave me a new glass of water.

This place was amazing. The service was really good. I had the kadhai chicken and it was the best Indian dish I've had. The mango juice was fresh squeezed and incredible. Will definitely come here again.

As others have speculated on here, India Palace is indeed a rebranding of the much adored India Cafe which used to be across town in Huntsville. The lunch buffet is tasty but where India Palace truly shines is during dinner hours. The dining is casual and everything on the diverse menu is cooked fresh to order so don't expect to get in and out in less than an hour (at least). Make your wishes clear and the wait staff will take care of you to the letter. They offer a wide variety of dishes, including some Southern Indian and pseudo-Chinese fare. I've never had a bad experience here. The food is consistently amazing and on par with any I've had in a major city. Simply put - don't waste your time on any of the other Indian options in town. Huntsville/Madison is lucky to have this gem! THE BEST Indian cuisine in the entire state!

Had one takeout meal a few weeks ago and just got thru dining in tonight. The service wasn't what I would call personalized, he didn't seem like a waiter, more like a son in law, waiting tables, but the FOOD!!!!! Chicken Korma was awesome. We split one order between us and I still ate too much! Samosa's were great too, but did I mention the Chicken Korma? Wow, we will be eating here again, soon.

Excellent food (on par with my experiences in major cities on the West Coast), clean and comfortable dining room, and friendly staff. Service was a little spotty and the room was nearly empty during peak dinner hours on a Friday evening, but it was nice and quiet and the food was worth the wait. Will definitely return, probably very soon.
