Asian City is an outstanding little restaurant with very good prices. I've ordered take-out from them twice and both times were very pleased. Everything tasted very fresh. The steamed dumplings were excellent, as were the chicken lo mein, beef with mushrooms and the fried rice. I will definitely eat here again and recommend you give it a shot if you're in the Madison area.

Love them! We order from here all the time! They are friendly, and nice! Most Chinese places the people who work behind the counter are not the friendliest or easiest to to speak to. Here they are easy to speak to. Food is great. Get the fried dumplings, so good!

This little restaurant always provides great Chinese food at reasonable prices. I've tried many of the Madison area Chinese restaurants and this one remains my favorite. Their lunch specials are really a tremendous value. Give them a try, you will not be disappointed.

My husband and I LOVE Asian City. After trying many chinese restaurants, we decided that this is our favorite place! Prices are good and food is great. I love their general tso's and honey chicken. We always order our food for take-out and they are always quick to complete our order. I dont have any complaints about this place.

My husband and I had dinner there last night, he had a bento box dinner to sample several items and I had some sushi a maki roll and a hand roll. I had high hopes for good food from the menu we had received in the mail and from the reviews left on here. Both my husband and I were disappointed. His bento box was very attractive and well presented, but the food was bland and lacking flavor. For example, the hot and sour soup looked very nice but the only discernible taste was a touch of hot pepper. The only item with any real flavor was the salad dressing. It was tasty, but not enough to make the meal a repeat. My food was not pleasing as well. The mackerel sushi was not fresh and was also tough. The normally buttery, delicious, succulent mackerel was almost unrecognizable here. The salmon hand roll was a bit fresher, but was tasteless. The only roll that was ok was the salmon and avocado maki roll. It at least tasted of the avocado. Also the iced tea tastes like it was left over from the day before. Perhaps it was iced specialty tea like jasmine or chrysanthemum, but either way, in my opinion - and this is just my opinion, I like plain tea, freshly made each day. The staff was really sweet and kind. I have nothing but nice things to say about the service. I wish the food had been tastier however. It simply was too bland and perhaps not as fresh as it could be. I know lots of folks like it and it goes to show that what pleases my taste buds might not be what you like. Certainly no offense to those who do enjoy this place! Just not to my taste.

Wow. The dining room has been redecorated since we were last here. New carpet, modern furniture, new paint colors. The wife and I split a Bento Box of Honey Chicken, Pork Fried Rice, and more. Very good, and more than enough food, especially considering that we'd added a cup of soup each. We took a small go-box of leftovers home afterwards. This is no longer just a take-out place, but also a decent place to bring the wife for a sit-down meal. They cater parties. They also serve Sushi. They give a frequent diner card: "One punch for every order of ¥10 or more." :-) I give 'em a four and a half overall. Not bad for a hole-in-the-wall Chinese place!

I decided to give this place a try as the reviews i found here were rather promising...and i couldn't be happier to discover such a hidden gem. Service is polite and fast, food is tasty and i just love the fact that they reinvest in their business, they have recently redecorated and today my husband and I decided to eat in instead of a take out, I am happy and satisfied with the food and our overall experience and we shall return soon to try other dishes on their menu. Did i mentioned the prices? Unbelievable for the quality and quantity f food you receive.

I only had the crab ragoons and egg drop and wonton mix soup and it was the best and freshest I've had around. I cant wait to try the rest of their menu.

Don't ask questions. Just go. THE BEST Chinese we've tried in Madison County. They put Fulin's Chinese Cuisine to shame. Highly recommend their King Pow chicken with 2-3 peppers for heat. Awesome food!

I don't know what the hell these people have been eating. This is possibly the worst Chinese food I've had. Certainly the worst in the area. The fried rice is that yellowed mall food garbage. The beef szechuan was a sugary pile of vegetables. The shumai is dough covered fried fish balls. The sushi is lower quality than grocery store sushi. Seriously. The egg drop soup is the only thing I could stand out of this plate and that was just because it's so bland. How do any of you people like this? This is disgusting. I was really hungry before I put this in my mouth, and it actually made me lose my appetite. My stomach was growling waiting to pick this up. Now, I'm actually mad I paid for this. The quality here is lower than the Chinese food you can get out of the food court at the mall. How does this turd hole have 5 stars? The mediocre Chinese place next to Walmart puts this place to shame. When China Moon is like Ruth's Chris next to your restaurant, you know you're doing something wrong. I want to lace this review with profanity from how much of a dive this is, but I'd rather it didn't get removed. If I can save just one poor soul from putting this slop in their mouth, then I feel like I've done a public service. Avoid this place at all costs. If you really need some Asian food and you're in the area, go to the wings place next to here. The wings place has better Asian food than Asian city. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go drink mouth wash out of the bottle to remove this taste.

My husband goes here for lunch at work sometimes. I happened to go one day with him. It's typical American Chinese food. They make it fresh for you, so it's really hot! The lunch prices are very reasonable, and the selection is nice. You can even eat in if you would prefer. We both got the general tso's chicken for lunch. We picked the spring rolls over the soup. I really enjoyed the spring roll! Usually places have shrimp in a spring roll, which I hate. I prefer a more traditional vegetarian spring roll and this is what they offer. The roll was also freshly fried, not cold and stale. The general tso's chicken was not bad. But it wasn't great either. Hence the four stars. I remember when general tso's was a hot and spicy dish. Now everyone serves it up really sweet...gross! They also didn't have but 2 broccoli pieces in my entree. I prefer more broccoli, as well. The fried rice was average and plentiful. The restaurant was clean and nicely laid out. The staff are very friendly and you can see people cooking in the kitchen. I like that. The lunch specials were all around 5 dollars and include entree, fried rice, and a choice of spring roll or soup. I'd like to go back and try their mongolian beef.

This is the best americanized chinese place in town. It is quite a bit better for lunch than for take out. I love the schezuan chicken. My family also loves the lo mein, sweet and sour, and honey chicken. Hot and sour is great as well. I'm really glad that we found this restaurant.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
