We arrived and we were seated right away. All downhill from there. Would give it no stars if I could. Party of 5 including my sister who works as a waitress elsewhere. After 20 minutes of sitting on a Friday night, we still hadn't had anybody come by and get us drinks. My sister went and complained and was told the waiters/waitresses were all in a meeting. Seriously, on a Friday night. We waited a few more minutes and still nothing. So we got up and left. Now keep in mind that the people around us seemed to be getting served so really seemed like we were being lied to. Will not be back. We went to Outback Steakhouse and had sweet tea and cookies while waiting only 10 minutes to be seated.

We had Jordan as a server and from the start I knew we would have a great meal and night! Little did we know that Katie would stop by and check us too, between the 2 of them and the food I was totally blown away. As a former employee of 3 places through transfers and a lover of quality service and did you all get a A+++++ thanks a lot !!!!!

I left a 10% tip. (NEVER, I waited tables all through college). I should have left her zero! The waitress was rude, condescending, disinterested, disrespectful, and overall could not have given a damn about our dining experience. I use this term "dining" loosely. What a joke. Just take my word, anywhere would be better. From cleanliness to lack of food quality. I don't know what to say. If you go, I hope you don't get our waitress. I felt like I was eating on a mummy. Ribs dry, covered with sauce. Just through them out, say 86, don't sell these to humans. Oh, it is not cute, funny, or necessary to card a 55 year old grey haired, fully bearded man. I would go on....but...I must now have diarrhea. Kirk Carlisle

Texas Roadhouse is your typical steakhouse with big portions. The food is ok, but overly salty. I tried it once when it first opened and a second time about a month or toe after opening and it still wasn't any better. Your money will be better spent at Longhorn if you are looking for a good steak.

This place is pretty much your average chain roadhouse. The portions are big, without many smaller entree options. The food is good but not outstanding. I've been told their drinks are one of their big draws, but I still haven't tried them yet. The service was probably the best this going for this place. Our waitress was great! She was quick to take care of us and checked on us a lot during our meal. She also stayed pretty close nearby, so it wasn't hard to find her if we needed anything. Overall I'd probably go here again, but it's nothing special.

The wait staff were quite slow, but they were very friendly. Unfortunately the Prime Rib which came highly recommended showed up looking like a hockey puck even though I ordered medium. The outside was a dark brown. I don't know how you brown a prime rib. My buddy ordered a chicken and steak combo and got a piece of steak that looked smaller than a Krystal's burger patty. They attempted to offer us something to replace the awful steaks, but they took so long to do it that we were tired and just left, paying for the appetizers. The waiter said, "oh, they said they were out of medium, so I tried to get you something else but they messed it up" or somesuch. To which, I thought how do you run out of medium steak? I guess they're precooking everything and letting it sit in some water or under a heat lamp? Worst steak I've ever had sadly. The appetizers were good. Little fried cheeseballs are hard to mess up, especially when they're frozen to start with. The drink I ordered (Armadillo punch?) tasted really weak. Like they let it sit on the counter for a while and the ice melted in it or something. Not a good experience at all.

A very disappointing dinner. More than 45 minutes from order to receiving meal. Once my steak arrived, I started the butchering process. I separated more than 4 oz of fat from my steak. The server was pleasant, but not overly attentive: drinks emptied, failure to bring out dipping sauces, bread late in arrival and it took too long to get our appetizer. The kids enjoyed their meals, and the "Disney Night" theme was fun. We will likely consider a different steakhouse for our next outing.

We came here last month for my birthday and were very pleased with the service and the meals. Everyone at the table who ordered prime rib was raving about it ever since and we couldn't wait to come back and do it again, so... We came this time for my mother in law's 70th birthday. Despite repeating all of our orders back to us, the waiter brought the wrong drinks to us. He left the wrong drinks on the table (which was extremely crowded already with all of us there). He came back with the right drinks after awhile and proceeded to pass my husband's over my head to him, spilling it all over my shoulder, my purse and my brand new camera. He never apologized, didn't offer napkins to clean it up, nothing.. Then our entrees came. My husband and I both ordered our meat medium. Mine came out BRIGHT red (seriously, looked raw). I wouldn't even take it from him, I said that's not medium. He tried to give it to my husband (who didn't order mashed potatoes, it was clearly meant to be mine). I still wouldn't take it and said he ordered medium also, and a baked potato, THAT'S NOT MEDIUM! 3 times I said it and he kept insisting that someone ordered this... My husband took it because he got tired of listening to the exchange, and his entree was nowhere to be found.. When he came with another one a short while later, which was meant to be my husband's meal, it was BARELY medium rare. I said again, that's not medium. The boy blamed the kitchen staff for "messing up the order", was not willing at all to take it back to be cooked correctly. End result, no one at the table was happy with their meal, our dogs ate raw prime rib (which we cooked at home for them) for supper, and we felt horrible for my mother in law's birthday celebration. WE WILL NOT BE BACK!

Another business trip, this time to Alabama. Tonight's choice was Texas Roadhouse. Primarily because it was next to the hotel, plus I worked a whole day and then drove to Alabama at the end of the day. I wanted my Bourbon and a steak and did not want to drive back to the hotel. For those of you that follow me on Yelp, please bear with me until the end of this review. At first you may not think my review matches my star rating, but make it to the end of the review and it will all come together. First off, as usual I perched myself at the last stool at the bar. The nice couple that was next to me warned me that there was a drip coming down from the ceiling right on the bar in front of my space. Either opting to go back to the hostess and waiting for a regular seat or sitting with the occasional drip.......I chose the drip. (it has been raining a lot so if there is an imperfection in the roof (or a/c), it is certainly not an issue that the bar staff can control.) I ordered a house salad with ranch on the side, 16 Oz sirlion with "unloaded" plain mashed potatoes. Salad was excellent! All the greens were green an crisp! Egg, cheese and tomato were fresh and light. Just and excellent start to dinner. The steak and mashed arrived and the first thing I noticed was that the steak considerably thicker on one end than the other. I had ordered Med-well (as usual) and took one slice through each end of the steak. Both ends of the steak were seared perfectly and evenly on both sides (as bonus to me because a lot of places tend to sear longer on one side than the other. The issue was that (as expected) one end was Med - rare and the other was closer to Well done. Most people would instantly complain and send it back straight away. Notes - to the best of my knowledge, Texas Roadhouse hand cuts their own steaks. (If I am wrong, someone with more knowledge of they way it works here, please correct me) The reason that I did not send this back was 1) it was impossible to fix and 2) I do not like to waste food. I absolutely did not want them to throw it away and make a new one. If the worst thing that happens to you during your day is that your steak is a little under or over cooked then I would say that you had a pretty good day. The real beauty that came out from my visit today was from a couple of the shining stars at this location. First Cedes at the bar was extremely apologetic about the steak and was trying to be very persuasive about making me a new one. Insisting that it was her responsibility to insure my meal was perfect. I was going to eat it and did not want them to make another. She asked if she could take my plate and show the cooks the one end was pink and one end was brown. I let her but only after she agreed to bring it back to me. I finished my steak and still it was really good, albeit having two distinct temperature ranges. Shortly afterward Katie the service manager came by and apologized again. We discussed hand cut steaks and I mentioned that I thought this one cut may have been an oversight. After it was cut, it should have (in my opinion) been further cut from the thick and thin ends into smaller portions that met weight guidelines for their steaks that could have been thoroughly cooked at a respective temperature. All in all I have not experienced that level of attention at a franchise restaurant before. Both Cedes and Katie are stellar at customer service and should be commended. Although the steak was not "perfect" it was more than acceptable for me to eat, but the real reason that I will continue to frequent this establishment was the attention that I received in an effort to make my meal perfect. Cedes and Katie made it perfect. Outstanding! Until I return next time......

Ok Texas Roadhouse I just give up on you. This place started out really great but has gone downhill quick. My last eight meals here have been free. The manager comp'ed all my meals because the either the meal was wrong or cooked incorrectly multiple times. On one occasion they made us a free to-go order because we had sat for fifty minutes waiting for our meal before being told they were out of what we had ordered. This was even after the server told us our meal would be out any minute. The line dancing is cute at first, but when you have waited 45 minutes to an hour for your food to be delivered and you become grumpy from starvation, the line dancing becomes a loud and annoying gimmick. I like free food but we won't be back here anymore, free or not.

Was hoping this was like the other roadhouse's in TX and CO. I should have known to turn around when the place was empty for dinner. Being empty didn't stop our server from taking for ever to take our order. The food was good but the service was blah! We started to notice our server was MIA and other people brought us our food. Guess that training master shirt was a lie! After waiting for 20 minutes after we finished our meal she magically appeared! I won't be back to this place. Longhorn steakhouse is my new go to place. Review from first time: (had 4 stars) My kids and I really enjoyed the food. Second time: (now 3 stars) Three pieces of dirty silverware and one dirty plate. Medium steak was closer to rare. Will go back towards the end of September for my daughter's birthday. Hope third time will be closer to the first. Both experiences, we had great wait staff! That is the only thing keeping me from moving it down to two stars.

The salad was nasty! We sent them back and when we got "fresh" salad, the lettuce was brown... Not recommended!

Never going back. Took my family of 5 there on July 4. Meals took WAY too long to arrive: almost an hour. The two cheeseburgers were tepid and stale as the must have been on the warmer waiting on the three steaks. I have a hunch the whole order was waiting on sweet potatoes to bake. The diners at table behind us were also doing as we were: looking plaintively toward the kitchen hoping our food would finally arrive. The servers did not help. No updates on food readiness, no real interest in quality of food after it was finally delivered and not one apology for the delay. Drinks were not kept filled. Most restaurants of this kind have a manager checking satisfaction of diners. I never saw one. The steaks were good enough, though 2 of 3 were a little overcooked. The little yeast rolls were delicious. Sad, I've enjoyed this chain in other locations. Was hoping to find a good family steakhouse. This isn't it. I could have shopped, cooked, eaten and cleaned in the time we spent here.

We just ate here on 9-2-2012 I have been to Roadhouse dozens of times in other states and this one in Huntsville was disappointing. I walked in the door to get our name on the list and the girl working there was wondering why I walked right past her to the girls at the counter. I explained to her that I didn't know I was supposed to talk to her since she was TEXTING ON HER CELL PHONE WHILE AT WORK.. Right there in front of everyone. I asked how long the wait was and another girl said she could seat us immediately. We had a great waiter. He was very attentive and knew the menu. The rolls were hot and tasty. Garden salad was great. However, I got the country fried sirloin and it was so salty and overbreaded and overcooked that I could not eat hardly any of it. All the rest of the meals were cooked well. And I ordered the "loaded" sweet potato. In the past it was served with butter, brown sugar and cinnamon. Now, "loaded" means a plain sweet potato with marshmallows toasted on top. My husband asked the waiter about this and he brought me the cinnamon and brown sugar. He was very nice about it. The floors are so dirty and slippery due to the constant rug of peanut shells. Add in some slop from waitstaff going in and out of the kitchen and you've got a huge mess. It was kind of gross. All in all it was okay. I wouldn't go back though.

Service was great, food was great, atmosphere live and energetic. Expected a 25 minute wait, but was seated in about 10. Right off the bat, the hostess grabbed a basket of rolls and put them on our table as we were seated. Wait staff was professional, upbeat and attentive. We had the 20 oz bone in ribeye, ribs and boneless buffalo wings apps, and kid's steak meal. Steak was well seasoned -- a very enjoyable meal all around.

Average steakhouse. The 'antics' are ok, but it got on my nerves after about the third birthday song. Not sure why that would surprise from a place with "roadhouse" in the title. If you want somewhere to bring your young kids to be entertained this is the place. If you're looking for something quiet - go elsewhere.

Food and service was great! Kids eat for .99 on tuesdays and they have early dine for 8.99 monday through saturday. In addition, they offer military discount!! We fed our family of 4 for $28 with drinks!! My husband and I both had 6oz serloins, cooked to perfection, and the kids had crispy chicken tender kids meals. We were super impressed with the price and the quality. Good value.

We have dined at other locations and the Huntsville location several times over the last few years but this experience takes the cake and stomps on it too! We [two of us] arrived Saturday evening around 5 pm to half a parking lot of cars but people siting outside and in the doorway [not a good sign] as we entered my wife registered us for a table for two was given the electronic caller and we found a seat on the bench infront of the entry station [rightin front of it]......I noticed about 30% of the tables empty and thought it was strange for a half full parking lot and diners waiting to be seated inside and outside. We sat for about 30 minutes and I scrolled thru my iphone to kill time, looked up and noticed people walking in the door to register for a seat and were being seated..... we walked the 10 feet to the reception station and my wife said ''we haven't been called yet did we miss it? [our electronic devise had never gone off]..the girl snippily said '' well you should have said something'', ''we tried to call you and you didn't come up front''! NO ONE VERBALLY called our party [we were 10 feet away] and the electronic device did not go off so we DID walk up and SAY something.....just NOW!? OK lets just be seated and let that go.....well walking to the seat we had to run the gauntlet of busboys/girls standing in a huddle on the part of the walkway that sort of ramps up making it very hard to squeeze thru [no need for them to stop chatting or move out of the way...this was about 6 people]. We were seated and our waitress came and seemed cheerful enough and we gave her our order , things seemed fine and progressed.....our salads came , drinks and bread, then someone delivered our steaks [not the waitress and not unusual] I had ordered a steak /rib combo plate....no ribs.....so I told the person there was supposed to be ribs...they said fine and they'd bring them........10 minutes later with empty drink glasses, no waitress, no ribs...so my wife caught the ''other'' waitress and told her we were shortthe ribs...she said she would let our waitress know.....10 minutes later, our waitress appears and refills our drinks and says she will be ''right back with the ribs ''......well we are FINISHED with the meal salads steaks [no ribs] and empty glasses and all...the meal is OVER.....no apology no nothing but very chipper about it !!! I told her ''No we are finished'', oh so you want them to go????? huh???? excuse me???NO I don't want them at all now. [seemed like common sense doesn't it??? she said she'd have the manager remove them off the ticket and would we like dessert??? hahahahaha . from FRONT DOOR to FINISH this place needs some management badly.....I've owned my own retail stores for 35 years and I'd be out of business with this service. SAD days ahead for Texas Roadhouse after they worked so hard at first to earn our business.....

Originally i was skeptical of going here because of the mediocre rating of 3.5 stars but im glad we didnt go based on the reviews. This place was great! My husband and I went for my 30th birthday dinner and i loved every part of my meal. We were seated promptly with steaming hot rolls my husband got the tequila gold which he loved and i just drank water. We shared an appetizer of mild buffalo wings and we each got a dinner of ribeye steak and grilled shrimp which was incredible! I would go back again and again!

Service was horrible. But from the reviews I didn't expect much from the wait staff. Never get the cactus blossom... a very poor copy of the MUCH better Outback blooming onion. Do not order a mixed drink, if ypur lucky to get it, t's all from a mix and their signature sweet and sour mix IS awful. The steak was ordered medium and came well done. Save your time and money.

Had great service, our server was Alex, who was awesome! Food was just as nice too! The floors were slippery and we had to ask to switch booths as the first one, the bench on one side was not cleaned, otherwise, had a nice experience here.

Wow, we've been trying this place off and on for a while. I must say the food is ummm o.k. they are trying, BUT let me tell you if you aren't in Rusty or Marcus's click don't waste your time at the bar. The lady's that work at the bar are great. Mercedes, Sam, Danielle were all great. We love those ladies, but if we ever walk in,and see Rusty or Marcus there. We will leave.

If you like a "roadhouse" atmosphere then add another star to my review. I can't fault anything in particular, it's just that the nonstop Texas music and occasional line dances were a little overdone. But the service was friendly, place was very busy, service time was average (better than what I would have expected reading other reviews) and the food was tasty (not great, but not bad either). Bottom line, if you want to just totally kick back after work, have a couple'a drinks, and have some regular homey food, this is a place that won't disappoint you. But I wouldn't put it on my A list.

I suspect that the negative reviews here can be explained by the fact that, yes, this Texas Roadhouse becomes VERY busy in the evenings. You have to wait a long time and the staff is running. The staff does a good job overall, I think, but hey; they're human. My wife and I tried it on a Saturday evening. We had to wait about 40 minutes for a table. I have to say, though, that the food was very good. I don't expect $70 steaks at a "roadhouse," but they were certainly worth what we were charged, and more. In particular, the steaks and ribs here are definitely better than those at Logans, another "roadhouse." Our steaks were cooked perfectly. We ordered them without seasoning, and they got it right. The salads were also good (though they did make a minor mistake on one of them, no big deal). The drinks were very good as well. We will definitely visit them again.

It was very crowded when we were there. Typical since it's a new place. We did get seated very quickly, so that's a plus. It was awkward, though, when the hostest asked what cut of steak we want and pointed at the display case. We were like, ummm, we don't know yet since we hadn't even seen the menu... Our waitress, to her credit - she was young, new nothing about the food nor the drink menu... Everything we asked, her answers were 'yes, i think so.' We asked what's on draft, she named off a couple and Samuel Adams. We asked what kind. She stampered and said the normal one. LMAO! She admitted that she didn't know and it's just their popular one ROFLMAO. It was very pitiful. She didn't even offer to go ask the bar until we requested. Poor gal... A rack of ribs were huge! Could feed 4. But it wasn't impressive, nor fall off the bone tender. The steaks were not bad nor great. It was edible and not buttery and melt in your mouth. Overall, it's just another chain restaurant...

First time there recently. Although they are a chain, they are locally owned, and I felt that it made a difference. The staff was great, very friendly and attentive. They gave us free chili for it being our first visit there, and it was alright. The food was only OK however. We got a sirloin & a country fried steak with gravy. Everything is suppose to be homemade I believe the menu said.. The gravy on the steak & potatoes was flour-y and chunky and bland. Not very appetizing. The portions were huge. Sirloin was decent. Bar drinks were good. The dancing was entertaining. I plan to go back, but I think I'll stay away from things that aren't a real steak.

Great interior, happy energetic staff, pretty good food, but dreadfully SLOW. Dinner with young kids took almost 2 hours. One nearby table eventually asked for food to be delivered in takeaway containers after 90 minutes. Since they are new I understand the crowds, but we arrived after the peak and there was virtually no wait to be seated.

Hook em'

It was awful. Both service and food. Don't bother.

Great Chicken Critters but be prepared to wait. The service was very, very, very, Slooooooow!!!

Good value.

I haven't been here in years. This is a great steakhouse and bar. The food came out hot and fresh, wait staff was awesome, the drinks were perfect and i love the fact i can pick out my steak when i walk through the door. If want a steak I will definitely be coming here.

Texas Road House is a great place to eat. Ask for Naomi she's a great waitress. She watched the whole time and didn't let us run short of anything. Very polite .

Is it loud, yes! Are the floors messy, yes! Is it busy, yup! Are the steaks great, absolutely! We always sit at the bar, great friendly service, it's as good as any other Roadhouse chain there is & the food is well prepared and cooked to perfect temp!

I'll be honest, I really liked the menu selections and my food was delicious. I ate on a weekday night. Service was quite good. Prices were reasonable. I'll definitely eat here again. I didn't have any alcohol.
