Enjoyed every minute being there. Staff is super friendly and fast on refilling your brew. Super hard to find being tucked away in the corner but well worth it. I'll be back for show!

Straight to Ale tap room has six or so beers on tap and a few other that you can get by the bottle. There is a bar and few tables inside the garage of the brewery with all pints coming in at $5. There are a few bombers that are more but at most $10. I have tried several of their beers and my favorite was the Belgian. However I did get the elusive Unubtanium which is a berral aged ale. Though great it is defiantly a sipping beer. The art work was fantastic and it seems that their branding is done quite well. They emprace the play on words as well as the Redstone Arsenal culture which makes for some nice artwork and beer names. I have tried many local breweries and these guys have the brewing and marketing down. If I rated just the beer it would be a Five but my overall experience was just okay the first time, maybe a 3/4. I gave them another two shoots and my experience got better and better. Straight to Ale has become my favorite local brewery.

I went on the brewery tour. It's short (less than an hour). Our tour guide, Rich, had a great sense of humor and has studied beer. 4 free samples are included with the tour. The staff drew tickets to give away a prize. It was a fun time and I learned a lot about their history. My favorite sample was the RIP Stout. It's their pumpkin beer. I didn't taste much pumpkin, but I enjoyed the fall spices in the beer. The Lilly Flag Milk Stout is one of my favorite local beers. Overall, I had a great experience. The staff was friendly and very attentive. After the tour, Rich visited each table as we enjoyed our samples. It was as though he had invited each of us personally. I will definitely go back.

This is the first tasting room that could pass for someone's rumpus room. It's as if Ricky Stratton grew up a little and added a brewery to his Silver Spoon's abode (oh come on, an early 80s TV reference?!?) Artwork for each of their beers adorns their walls, along with plenty of model rockets and space chimps. The real kicker is their game room with 6 or so pinball machines! The staff was very friendly and I really enjoyed talking with them. I tried their 6 beer sampler for $6! That's the best price I've ever paid for a sampler and the beers didn't disappoint. My favorites were the Monkeynaut, Gorillanaut and Sand Island. If and when I'm in Huntsville again, I will be sure to stop in and have a roll of quarters in hand for some pinball! **Tip 1** You can bring in food! **Tip 2** $6 samplers. Do it!!! **Tip 3** Give yourself some extra time to peruse the artwork. It's some of the best artwork I have seen from any brewery.

I enjoyed the Straight To Ale tasting room! My personal ranking that I present to friends is pretty basic .... Return or Not Return .... I will return. The Monkeynaut, Hell or Rye and their He Ain't Heffe are my go to's!!!! The food truck (Food Fighter's Bustaurant) was nice. Food Trucks everyday except for Monday. Cheers !!!!

excellent brewery. Impressed by the knowledge and care of the staff...you can tell the master brewer has experience and enjoys what he does. Though I tend to be biased towards IPA's, every brew I have had the pleasure of tasting has not led to disappointment. Could not pick up on any flaws during tastes. Great place to hang around. Keep up the great work.

We swing by whenever we are in town from Nashville. Great beer, great staff, pinball, sports, and a stage for live music in the brewery. Food truck there most times we've been as well. Recently in for a Skinny Lister show. Left my phone and they went out of the way to save it. If you are going in soon get a pint of their Oktoberfest. Good stuff.

I brought a friend from out of town to the tap room. We filled out a flight lists and handed it to the bartender. He rudely snapped at us and told us we could only order single beers because they were too busy to serve flights. We ordered two single beers @ $5.00 each and they were poured into a 12 oz solo cup. Not exactly what I think of craft beer. The Monkey Naught I had tasted like plastic. Based on this I can't recommend.

My expectations for this establishment were those of a spoiled Colorado resident who honestly did not anticipate being as impressed by Straight to Ale as I eventually was. I am so glad my local guide brought me here, and I will certainly be returning next time I am in the area. First off, the beers here are totally respectable. If you're into hefes, their wheat beer is astoundingly refreshing on a hot day. Secondly, the flights are SIX FUCKING DOLLARS. This is not a typo. Finally, they have a room dedicated to the timeless sport of Pinball. I spent nearly 2 hours here with my buddy, drank a flight, played some kickass pinball, picked up the tab, and walked out only about $20 poorer. Good beer at reasonable prices, plus pinball-- this place is a winner.

While Huntsville is not the hot-bed of craft beer that many of cities in America have come to be I found that Straight to Ale is doing it right. Was in town visiting my in-laws and we stopped here one evening to try some of their beers. With 12 beers on tap and flights of 6 four-ounce pours available for something like $6 I was mathematically destined to try them all. Given that I was getting over a cold it meant no sharing either, so good think I was not driving. Even at flight-status the second round of mainly all barrel-aged high ABV beers offered quite a kick. While Monkeynaut was a good (and different) IPA my favorites were the different Laika variants, with the Cabernet barrel aged version being the standout. Belgian saisons aged in tequila and Chardonnay barrels? And we can just hang inside the brewery and drink, plays games, or wonder around and look at the facility? Loved it. Before leaving town a grabbed a sixer of Monkeynaut and a bottle of barrel-aged Laika to take back to Chicago with me. Shared the IPA with friend right away and I still have the Laika in the basement for a special occasion.

Drove in from Texas and after throwing our junk in the hotel this was the first place we came. Solid beer selection ranging from IPAs to Belgiums and Stouts. The Hef. was sweet but not too sweet, and the Belgian double was just as enjoyable. Nice little spot in the back with tents if you bring your puppy dog and a friendly man behind to bar willing to answer questions. Not sure if I will ever be in Huntsville again but when and if I do, Straight to Ale will be a must visist.

Great, small and inviting brewery. Good beer, friendly people and pinball. What more could a man ask for?!

Came here with family-in-laws, and was really happy to find a small craft brewery in Huntsville. It is very hard to find, so make sure you're keeping your eyes peeled when you're looking for it (hint: find the place that you wouldn't expect to have a ton of cars in front). The beer is overall very tasty, and the prices are reasonable. I wasn't a huge fan of the IPA (a little too malty for my taste), but the rest of the ones that I tried made up for it. The main reason I give them four stars was because the atmosphere leaves something to be desired. I've been to many breweries and brewpubs, and while I love the rustic look, this place made me feel a bit more like I was drinking in an abandoned factory. Guests have to get their own chairs from a stack, and there weren't very many tables. It would be nice if they kept up the rustic vibe but made customers a *bit* more comfortable at the same time.

For the past few years of hearing this place and not knowing how great it is, I had to come by. I came here with a good friend of mine who goes a lot. When we first got there and walked inside I loved the smell of the beer that was being made. Me and my friend both got "The Heff" as I remember the name of beer we got, which I could be wrong. We both had a great time as we saw someone who we both know and walked around the building. The outdoor area is decently big as we would go out and smoke a few smokes and enjoy the beer. I have been back once with my step dad who enjoyed the beer as well.

Decided to try this brewery out and I am glad I did. The atmosphere is great and there is plenty of space so it doesn't get packed. The night I went, there was live music. The beer is delish and inexpensive. I like the quirky play on words this brewery uses and I think it is carried into the atmosphere.

This is such a cool, rather secretive spot (there's no roadside signage, and we had to stop and ask a kind stranger directions) but once you find this taproom it is well worth the frustration of driving up-and-down Leeman Ferry. The beer selection is excellent, I recommend starting with the six-beer Space Flight sampler (your choice). Some standout pours include the Lilly Flagg Milk Stout, the popular Monkeynaut IPA, and the dessert-like Bourbon Barrel Double Oatmeal Stout that packs a wow! punch. Simple, fun atmosphere, like being in a friend's super nice garage with food trucks parked right outside (weekends).

Very good high test beer selection kinda tough to find behind Matrix gym they can't put up sign some county ordnance. They have a food truck that serves on the weekend else if all beer..

Straight to Ale is a local, Huntsville brewery. I dropped in for Octoberfest, which was held at the brewery. They had an Ommpah band, German food, and lots of their wonderful selection of beers. I was surprised to learn that they have a tap on site. Looks like a fun place to work and it is certainly a fun place to visit. Huntsville has finally joined the 17th Century and is now allowing breweries to operate. Rocket City indeed.
