Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

I give 'em a four and a half. Anybody remember when Guthrie's chicken restaurant opened years ago, with searchlight beams in the sky visible for miles? Rice Box is where Guthrie's was. I think there was a Rolo's express or something here after that. It's like behind the Logan's Roadhouse on University Drive in Huntsville. The building has been greatly remodeled. Outside it is brightly colored, like a little pagoda or something. But inside, it is an elegant Asian restaurant, with black lacquered furniture. I liked our waitress. "I do not speak much Engrish," she volunteered. That's true. But with a little prompting, she did fine: My wife told her that we wanted to split our meal. "Sprit?" Share, I explained. Anyway, the food was very good to excellent. Check this place out. They also have a drive-thru. For music they were playing some American pop oldies. Not bad, but I'd have preferred some soft Oriental background music.

Pretty good. I always get the hibachi teriyaki chicken with fried rice and veggies or the sweet and sour chicken. Both are good, but I like the one in Florence better.

My wife and I were excited to see a drive thru Chinese/sushi spot (we're new to the area and never seen one). Anyhow, we went through the drive thru and ordered general tso and a Garzilla sushi roll. Although it's made to order, we waited at the window for 35 minutes (waited only because our credit card was swiped). No update from the employees or anything. Finally, after 35 minutes, we asked if it typically takes this long for an order, and the answer was they only had one sushi chef working that night. It would have been courteous to have been provided that information, we would have not ordered a single sushi roll at the expense of waiting in the car with a small child for so long. There was no apology from the cashier for the longer than usual wait or nothing. Now onto the food!!! The general tso chicken was good (hence the two stars for the overall experience) but the fried rice was mushy and didn't taste all that great. Now onto the Garzilla roll (spicy tuna, avocado, and spicy sauce deep fried). First, we didn't receive any avocado at all on the roll. Second, and most importantly, the tuna is CANNED tuna!!! The water wasn't even drained at all! It was so disgusting, I had to throw it out (taste like I'd imagine cheap cat food to taste). Sushi should never have canned meat. Period. Overall, it wasn't a great experience for us. The tso was good, so I would return (although I'm put off from the rice). And the sushi... Well I'll find elsewhere for that, preferably somewhere that doesn't serve undrained canned tuna).

This place is fabulous! There is something for everyone. The price is more than reasonable and the food is excellent. We fed our family of 4 for $31.00! You cannot beat that. We will be going again very soon. :)

I was told how amazing this place was by a friend/coworker of mine. I've always been skeptical about trying new places, but I am so glad I checked this place out! I have never been so full, still fill up 2 to-go boxes and manage to spend barely over $30 for 2 people. Me and my boyfriend walked in and were being directed to our seat before the lobby door even closed. As soon as we were seated our drink orders were taken and we quickly received them. Very fast service. The menu is very organized and I swear I read everything twice because I couldn't decide on just one thing. My boyfriend ordered us an appetizer of cheese wontons and for himself he ordered egg drop soup and honey sesame chicken. I ended up deciding on the coconut shrimp..for tonight. SO MUCH FOOD! I couldn't believe the portions for the price. Everything tasted delicious and was presented perfectly. For once my entree actually looked exactly like the pictures on the menu. Very impressed! There was one con, though. We were one of the only people sitting in the restaurant. People were going in and out getting take out orders, but in between those people the staff was talking very loudly. Its obnoxious enough when its in english, even worse when its not. Service didn't lack in the slightest because they were socializing, I just wish they weren't doing it so loudly. Despite that small annoyance, I have officially claimed The Rice Box as my go-to for Chinese (and hopefully sushi).

Food was okay for the price. The Hibachi chicken/shrimp plate was lack luster and lacking of flavor. The honey sesame chicken was pretty good. They could also expand their drink selections.

Ordered delivery for lunch at work last week. 3 people paid with cards. All have now been closed due to fraudulent charges. Mine had $2500 on Priceline and Apple.

We had the opportunity to visit the Rice Box last Wednesday, to the our pleasant surprise the inside was really nice. Great ambience, and the waiter was nice. We shared to appetizers, cream cheese wontons and steamed potstickers. The wontons were a little on the sweet side and should have been on the dessert menu but still good. The potstickers were however awesome! The only suggestion I have is to get the fried compared to steamed. The filling is awesome but the outside can give a strange texture to some. As our entrees we both got the fried rice. The fried rice was just ok, but adding the dipping sauce from the potstickers took it to another level. Overall I gave it 4/5 stars, I could see myself going back

So, I like to try different local sushi places when I travel. I'd dropped someone off nearby & found Rice Box and decided to give it a try. I pulled up on a Sunday at noon & only two other cars were in the parking lot. That should've been the first sign that the place wasn't that good. I walked in and stood up by the hostess stand, waiting to be seated. A gentleman by the sushi bar asked if I was ordering to go or dine in. I told him that I was dining in. He said that he could help me at the counter. I skimmed though the menu & saw a lunch special that was two rolls for $7.99. Decided to get that. I ordered the spicy yellowtail roll and salmon & avocado roll. The cashier told me it came with a salad & miso soup. I paid & he told me my would be right out. I sat at one of the tables & waited. The restaurant had an odd smell, a mix of musty, cleaner & some kind of fragrance. About 5 minutes later he came over with my food all packed up in a bag like it was a to go order. Oh well. I took the food & left. I decided to eat the sushi in the car as I waited to pick someone back up. I open the salad & put some of the ginger dressing on the salad. The lettuce must've been pretty wet because there was a lot of water in the bottom of the salad container. I didn't try the miso soup because I don't eat miso. Onto the sushi. The two rolls featured a lot of fish, salmon & yellowtail. The fish on both rolls was warm, which made me very nervous. The smell was also somewhat fishy. Usually the fish in sushi is chilled because it's been stored in a refrigerator. I think this must've been sitting out for a while. It also had a shine to the fish. I took a bite from each roll & decided to through out the rest. I really wasn't in the mood to get food poisoning. I'm writing this review a couple hours later & hope that I don't get sick. There are much better options for sushi. Don't think because this place has a drive thru that it's a fast place for sushi. A fast place for food poisoning maybe.

Chicken, scallops, shrimp were excellent. Friendly staff and nice decor. Definitely recommend this restaurant.

The sushi and Mongolian chicken were good . Like someone else mentioned the fried rice was very disappointing. It was soft/mushy rice with a few pieces of egg in it and little to no flavor and certainly no vegetables. The hibachi chicken (and veggies) had even less flavor. I don't like a lot of sauce but I'm not sure this had any or even any salt and pepper. I would probably go back for the sushi and Mongolian chicken but nothing on the hibachi menu.

Had a late lunch there today. Their food tasted great and surprisingly HOT (temperature wise) which means it's cooked to order and not pre-cooked like at buffet places. The only problem with this place is they serve dinner all day long. These guys need a lunch menu with smaller portions for lunch. But that's just me.

My husband and I decided to try this place based on the reviews here on Yelp. We were really suprised with their great prices! The quality of the food was great and tasted amazing. I would have thought that the quality wouldn't be that great considering their low prices but they've definitely proved me wrong. We both ordered from their hibachi meals. The portions were good and the sauce that comes with it is delicious. Our waitress was very attentive which made our experience that much better. We will definitely be returning.

I was a little disappointed with this place. I've been wanting to try it since they opened and saw that they got mostly good reviews. Also, everytime I drove by the place, they seemed to be busy, which I figured is a good sign. I tried it today for the first time and would not go out of my way to go back there. The portion size for the prices are good, but the food was not that great. The food to me was somewhat bland. I've had alot better chinese in the area, but I guess that you get what you pay for. The food was not bad, but not good either.

Super fast service, never very crowded, and very fresh food. No matter what I order, there is plenty for at least a second meal. Never gotten carry-out or drive-thru, but I am sure it would be the same quality. We'll definitely be back.

Verg good food and large portions. Our server went out of her way to accommodate our 2 toddlers, quick. Will definitely return. Based on other reviews, we were not expecting a sit down place. Its actually nicely decorated inside and you would expect higher prices. Because it is reasonably priced and good value this will become a regular place to stop by. Did i mention how awesome it is they have a drive thru.....for those rainy days when you don't want to go in with screaming children! :)

Stopped in for take out...great as usual. Has never let us down. Crunchy shrimp roll, hot and sour, and General Tso's chicken. Nice to know where to go for good chinese on a cold night!

This restaurant chain came recommended to me by a friend. Upon arrival, I was more than skeptical...the place looked like an old chicken tender place and even had a drive-thru. Actually, I very nearly had my lunch mate keep on driving. Judging the book by its cover, I know. The inside was nicely remodeled in the typical 'Asian style' often found. On to the important stuff: the food, which was quite good. My lunch mate and I tried the general tso chicken and some sushi. I won't say it is the best Chinese or the best sushi, but it was better than just good and I'm taking into consideration that you can get both of those better than good items in one location. I like the variety option. Plus, the lunch special sushi is a good deal. My only real complaint, which is disheartening considering the name if the restaurant, is that the rice was extremely subpar. I got the fried rice...and it was simply overcooked, soft, flavorless brown rice with bits of egg.

The food is ok,but i saw a little mouse ran into their kitchen once.

Order delivery all the time. Is absolutely amazing and always timely and good quality. They have a great selection and I haven't had anything that I didn't enjoy. My favorite is the general tso chicken.

There's no shortage of Chinese buffets in town, but good sit down Chinese restaurants are not so common. I stopped in for dinner tonight and was generally pleased with the Rice Box. The staff was fast and pleasant, and there was a nice section on the menu. I ordered the orange chicken entree and the fried pot stickers appetizer. They provided a generous serving of pot stickers, that could easily be shared by two or even more. The entree came with a pork egg roll that was nice and crispy. The entree itself was fresh and well prepared. The only minor complaint I had as the orange chicken, which was marked as "spicy" on the menu, really wasn't. If I order it again I'll probably ask for extra spicy. Still, lots of good food for a reasonable price. I'll certainly be back.

Went to the Rice Box on Friday night. They had just opened a day or two before. The food was excellent . Was seated right away and drink orders were taken . Drinks arrived quickly. Ordered our food of eggdrop soup, so good and hot too. Also got an order of cream cheese wontons which were nice and crispy with plenty of sweet/sour sauce. We also ordered the coconut shrimp and the chicken teriaki which came with choice of rices and plenty of vegetables. Neither of us could finish there was so much ! It was sooo good! The wait staff was very attentive and kept our glasses filled. We enjoyed it so much we went back the following Tuesday for lunch. It was every bit as good ad dinner. We ordered the honey chicken and my friend had ordered off the extensive sushi menu. When we left they gave us their take out menu and they have a drive up window. Lots of booth seating.

The qulity is fine, prices a little high for lunch. This is just comparable to everything else in the area...nothing special.
(3)Dustin P.
The food here is typical Americanized Asian cuisine of no real specialty. The service was good, but I would not return for the food.

Awesome place and awesome food! My new favorite Chinese/hibachi place! The won ton soup dumplings are homemade too which were so good!
(5)Alex L.
They bought our food out fast and it tasted great. It's a little sad that the place doesn't have more people eating there all the time. But it's not necessarily located in the best location either.

Our daughter who is in college at UNA took us to the original Rice Box in Florence, AL. The food was soooooo good and very inexpensive. We got three appetizers and four dinners for less than $50. As I was paying I overheard the owner telling another customer about the new store they opened on Huntsville. We were in Huntsville the next day and decided we had to try it. It is not on the main drag but is just behind the wells Fargo bank on university drive. We were so excited to see the same menu. Food was outstanding and you get a ton of food. Egg rolls are spot on and do not have that weird taste that some egg rolls have. Hibachi rice with veggies is delicious. So is hibachi rice house combo. Has shrimp, st Hieak and chicken with rice and veggies all fried on the grill. And the sauce makes it!

I was surprised. This was really a great experience and the food was excellent at an excellent price.

One of the best in Asian cuisine in this area. Everything came out quickly, was fresh and tasty. The Singapore noodles is spicy, buttery and comes with chicken, shrimp and beef. I'll definitely be back.
