Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

I usually only get apps and wine, but it's ALWAYS delicious. The service is always spectacular. The location is great. The view is gorgeous. And the assistant manager...I think his name is Jorge? He's super hot.

Great location. There was live music and corn hole and some other bag toss have was available off the patio seating. But... We ate there last night and I think 'alright' summed up everyone's opinion. My calzone was too light on cheese, my daughter's fettuccini Alfredo was bland, my wife's pizza didn't have enough of the goat cheese or artichoke to taste over the mozz. We ordered some meatballs that were good enough to reorder and they came with tasty marinara but really needed some fresh Italian bread to eat them with. And there was no bread either with the meatballs or for the table. Bottom line, I'd eat there again (meatball grinder/sub probably) if I was at the park and hungry but if they were in another location, I think they'd go out of business.

I very seldom review just service, by I HAVE TO!! We were here last night about 8:00, so not super busy. We were seated immediately and then the wait came. We waited about 10 minutes and finally I walked up to the bar and asked for service. A very young waitress was very apologetic and rushed over to fill our water glasses, which we explained were dirty ones from previous occupants. She, again, apologized and took the glasses. We waited again. We eventually left frustrated and hungry. Let me add, the kitchen is all open, so we could see all the wait staff just standing around in there talking. Where is the manager??? Why is such terrible service the topic of so many yelp reviews? Come on folks get a clue... this is a great location and supposedly good pizza from the few folks that actually got served, but get a grip on your customer service!!!

One of my favorite local spots in town! They have amazing pizza, my personal favorite go to is the "Salvador Dali" and then my husband and I split the Greek salad. Wonderful outdoor seating area right next to the art museum. Most evenings they have live entertainment and the whole patio has a quaint, romantic feel. Their wine and beer is great and affordable, and they tend to carry local craft brews on tap. Staff is always really friendly and helpful. An amazing and affordable local restaurant!

Left my wallet at work, left and came back 20 minutes until close and they welcomed me in like opening time! Great bartender/server, she even gave me other restaurant suggestions for the surrounding area! Such a great place!

I try not to give out 5 stars unless the venue really deserved it. I just say this place deserves 5 and maybe 1 or 2 more. We went in on a fly. My husband works for HEMSI and passes by this place a lot. He mentioned that he's been wanting to try it for a while. We walked in without reservations but that was okay as this is located at Big Spring Park which was beautiful at sunset. We were seated in 25 min and greeted promptly by our server. We ordered the caprese and meatballs. Absolutely fabulous and so fresh. I had a glass of Goats Do Goat rose blend. That was delicious as well. We recommend getting reservations and in time for the sunset. It's absolutely beautiful for a date night with your significant other or family.

My husband and I lived in Huntsville for 8 months two years ago and we still miss this place. When we come back to visit we will definitely have to enjoy this a few times. Great atmosphere and the pizza is amazing! For the perfect date night start off with the caprese, followed by the best pizza on the menu the Georgia O'keeffe, and an amazing tiramisu to finish an awesome meal! Also sit outside because it makes the experience even better! A great view of a beautiful park! Love and miss this place so much! Can you guys open up another location in Cincinnati, Ohio? We miss this restaurant so much! Five stars all the way!
(5)Dorothy P.
This isn't my top recommendation for pizza in downtown Huntsville. However, the location is nice with outdoor seating overlooking Big Spring Park. Pizza gets a 2/5. My husband and i have been here a couple of times, but the quality just doesn't seem that great and the pizza tastes somewhat bland. I think there are better tasting pizza options in the area. Service gets a 3/5, it's about average. Location gets a 4/5, the outdoor seating is nice since it's right next to the park.
(3)B S.
Small place but excellent food! I did half a Greek salad and half Michaelangelo pizza.
(5)Matt H.
I love that I can walk to the restaurant for lunch, sit on the patio and enjoy the view of the park! The food is good. Service is prompt and attentive. I like the Chicken Alfredo. Great place for a date or small get together. Get there early for dinner because parking is a bear! However, if you do have to park on the other side of the park you get to see the pond with all the big coy fish and you can take a moment and feed the ducks and geese. I would recommend this restaurant!

The service at this place is very slow. I was seated right away when I arrived but the waiter didn't come by until I asked the hostess to find my waiter (twice). He finally showed up after 10 minutes plus. I was not alone in the predicament. The staff doesn't seem to care whatsoever. Other waitresses were serving a couple of tables near by didn't even acknowledge me and other guess waiting for their waiters. I ordered a Mona Lisa pizza ($13.00). It was good but it too took 25 minutes after the order was taken. Overall, the food was good but the service was not.
(2)Ashley M.
I LOVED this place. The view from the patio and the flavor of my pizza gives it 5 stars. Pane E Vino is in a 'fancy schmancy' location. If you're looking at the Art Museum it's on the right side of the building down at the bottom facing the lake. Glad I know how to parallel park so I was able to park right next to the sidewalk that leads you up to the restaurant. Normally I would shy away from places that have an awkward location with difficult parking but I was drawn here on my quest to find delicious pizza. Winning! OH my I just said that...ok so there's clear evidence I'm not the typical crowd they're used to drawing. I could say there were some hoity twoitys but that's understandable for a more upscale joint. I ordered the Mozart which has prosciutto, tomatoes, and arugula. The crust was delicious! It was definitely fresh tasting and the crispy edges AND crispy bottom was my favorite part. The sauce was perfectly tangy, herby, and just a little sweet. The prosciutto added a little smoky and salty flavor. The tomatoes added sweet. The arugula added a bit of bitter and peppery flavor. Everything together was a happy, mouthwatering family. I dare to say it was actually the best pizza I've ever had. The pizza is quite a lot for an individual so I took half of it home. I did take the arugula off since it was sure to wilt. It wasn't very good cold so I reheated it in the oven and it was still delicious. I sat on the patio and (silently) laughed at the ducks splashing around the water. It was so peaceful until about halfway through when someone's kid started throwing a tantrum. Guess it's better that they were outside instead of inside an echoey restaurant. I don't know what was up with my waiter. I saw everyone else getting things like straws for their drinks, red pepper flakes and parmesan for their pizza, extra napkins, drink refills, an extra plate so they wouldn't have to eat directly from the pizza plate (where there was no room for fork and knife). I got none of that and even when he was cleaning up the table next to me he didn't look up to see if I needed anything. The other wait staff appeared to be very attentive to their guests but mine was barely existent. I sat there with card and receipt in hand for a long time ready to pay and when another waitress noticed how long I had been there she took my payment to him so he could process it. Bad luck of the draw I guess. The reason it's on my Top 100 Things to Try list: Pizza List: The BEST pizza I've ever had.

We've been coming here for a little over two years.... It is a great little place with quality food... There are times though that I was disappointed, which could have been the particular Chef that day, but as a whole it is a great little place. They do have a patio, of course it is better in the warmer months... The reason for the post tonight is that I've been disappointed the last few times with the food and service, but tonight was great. The reason I think it was great tonight is the General Manager on duty was incredible with the way she handled everything while we were there, and I think this is the reason the food and service were outstanding tonight. My Daughter-in-law, my son, my Wife and I were ask to move to another table after being seated by her and it was done in such a way that you were more than happy to accommodate her. Afterwards we saw her take care of various issues that were little but can make or break a dining experience, perfect. Erica did a great job.

Okay... so my first experience with this place was actually take out; the Salvador Dali was actually still good despite a 20min drive home. Given the scarcity of decent (pick a cuisine) in Huntsville, I had to return for a long midweek lunch. I tried the Clemenza in house and... well now I have a new favorite pizza spot! Sure, take out was good, but the freshly made pie is well worth the trip to Big Spring Park and the subsequent wade through the overabundance of waterfowl in the area. The Mona Lisa-with pear and prosciutto- is likely my next target. The only thing I didn't particularly care for was the limited wine list. For a place called 'Bread and Wine' I'll honestly say I was expecting a few more interesting grapes. But... I'm also saying that one of the top two places for pizza in town is a place called 'Bread and Wine' :)
(4)Michelle B.
I'm torn, because I had lunch here last week and both the service and food were amazing! However, tonight was a different story... We arrived at about 6pm and got a 2-top table for the 2.5 of us (toddler in a highchair). We perused the menus and she colored. And colored. And we perused. And decided. And put our menus down to indicate that we had done so. And we waited. And waited. And eventually the hostess came over and asked if someone had been with us already. She filled out water glasses and went off to find out waiter. Who it turns out had waited on the table next to us and the table behind them SIX times without even acknowledging that we were at his table. He finally came over and we ordered cocktails and our food order all at once. He returned with our wine and cocktail. We waited. And waited. And waited. And waited some more. And probably 40 minutes later he came over to the table (wine bottle in hand) to admit that he'd forgotten to place our food order earlier and we'd be getting our now second round of drinks and an order of breadsticks on the house. We got the breadsticks pretty quick, but the pizzas were taking a bit of time. By the time they arrived, we'd reached toddler meltdown time and asked for boxes to take them home. The food is delicious! The breadsticks with cheese are awesome! I normally don't like red sauce and I love the dipping sauce that comes with the cheesy sticks! I am sure we'll give them another chance at some point, but maybe not when something big is going on downtown (tonight was Tinsel Trail) and maybe service will be better on a quieter evening...and without a toddler's timeline. The service at lunch last week was absolutely spot on for our group of seven, but almost two hours to get food when you have a toddler is just not acceptable!

Have tried several times for dinner to give an accurate review. In my opinion this place is just average but pricey. Ordered spaghetti and meatballs, but my kid would not eat, tried mysrlf and the meatballs were terrible. lacked any flavor and horrible texture. The pizzas I tried were just simply bland, tiramisu had no flavor. Great location but lacks flavor in ths food, will not go back.
(2)Elle E J.
The pizza is great: crust, sauce, toppings. They even offer a really tasty g-free crust without charging extra! As noted in the other reviews, the place is small, and can get quite busy/noisy... But it is worth going to, even if you're not in the mood for pizza (but I highly recommend getting it as it is equally as good as leftovers). The patio offers a great view of Big Spring Park, the meat and cheese antipasto (as well as most of the salads) are delicious, and you can get a decent (not superb) glass of wine - or a carafe of the house wine - for a pretty good deal.
(4)Bob B.
This place is crowded very small. We had a 12inch pizza and spaghetti with two large meatballs. They were both good. Service was attentive.
(4)Larson H.
Awful service - waited 15-20 mins to be seated while host kept going back and forth to the kitchen to eat. Server skipped giving our kids drinks and didn't come back around to check for 10-15 mins. Bland food. Crust was completely blah. Won't go back.
(1)Jason R.
Friendly service. Awesome atmosphere. 30's to 40's crowd. Nice place for a date. Pizza was Delicious. Thicker crust and tasty sauce. I would recommend it. 4 stars because service could be better, and pizza had room for improvement. They also have cocktails to go and 3 dollar slices.
(4)Deb D.
Pane E Vino has declined as far as food quality and service over the past year. My past four out of five trips there ordering the Mona Lisa (pears, arugula, goat cheese and nuts) have been very disappointing. The bread is tough, there is wilted arugula, nothing like the quality over the past years. I do not know if the cook has changed or the process. Management acted as if we were trying to get out of paying. They needed to know there was a problem. Their attitude and poor food prompted this review. It is not the Restaurant that opened.
(2)Ilyse G.
A little disappointed in the panini and salad!
(2)Meredith C.
I was doing some work at the museum recently, and I dined here twice for lunch. It's pretty good, but on the whole, it was quite heavy for a lunch meal, and nothing I would write home about. I saw people ordering pizzas that looked appetizing BUT were just way too big to consider ordering for lunch. If they had a smaller lunch size portion, or offered some sort of slice + salad lunch thing, I would have liked to try them. But I didn't want to order a pizza and have to toss 3/4 of it. The first day I tried the roasted zucchini caprese, which was good. It was pretty flavorful and not too heavy for a lunchtime meal. The second day I tried the butternut squash ravioli, which was not as good. It said it came in an alfredo sauce, which didn't sound especially appealing, but I figured a chef would know what they were doing there. I did not like the combo. The ravioli themselves looked a little dried out and overcooked. The sandwiches and pizzas seem like a good value, but this was a small portion and just wasn't very satisfying. If I were at the museum again, I'd probably go back, but otherwise I'd not make a special trip. However, I'd imagine it's really nice to dine there when the weather is nice, so you could sit out on the patio overlooking the pond.
(3)I J.
Went there last Sunday when I got into town. Food is great; 5 stars for the pizza, but the service is pretty bad. Went there again today because it's my last night here, stood outside waiting for the hostess to acknowledge me... Went inside to ask another (much more formal looking woman) and she just said to go wait for the other hostess outside... Waited, waited, left.
(2)BG H.
Pizza is great! Only complaint is that service and wait staff is extremely slow! When you go make sure you have enough time.
(4)Cristina G.
Adequate but not spectacular. I have had better pizza in other places but what I like about this place is its outdoor seating. Pane e VIno is located in downtown within a park. The view is of a small lake and provides a great backdrop for when the weather is perfect to watch the sunset. The pizza was huge....I thought maybe I could eat the entire personal pizza but no way...so get the pizza if you are hungry. Otherwise split it with your dining partner. Decent prices and a fair selection of wines.
(3)K L J.
We like this place. It's small, so you have to pick your time to go. It's attractive, with interesting people inside (yes, there are interesting people in Huntsville). The atmosphere is bright, talkative and boisterous without being rude, deafening or brassy. We don't mind to be set next to the window looking at the kitchen. The seats along with the width of the sill still allow my wife and me to both talk and enjoy our meals, so it's not like the penalty box or the the banging tenseness of being seated next to the kitchen in a lot of places. The kitchen doesn't add much noise beyond the conversation in the dining area. Through the window, the kitchen staff works diligently and professionally, and while I can't say this is true for sure, they look like they have been working at their jobs together for a while and are confident in their actions and their places. This time, we each got a glass of wine. Their selections are nice table wines, and though I haven't had a really great one there, they've all been fine. Our pinot noir and Bonizio were fine as usual. We shared a DaVinci pizza. It has arugula (on a pizza? Yes!), a very sweet and slightly tangy balsamic vinegar sauce, pesto and cheese on a nice, light, thin crust. We got gluten-free, and it was all delicious. And a good value at $15 with tip, without the wine. My complaint on this night was that the serving staff seemed to be too-openly competing for tips. We were asked whether we wanted wine while we were waiting for a table, and the person at the register was happy to take our order ... and close out our tab. He got a sideways glance from the server who had greeted us at the door and had asked if we'd wanted drinks (not yet, but please come back in a minute). Our table server almost hid a look of dismay when he found out we'd already closed our bar tab. Figure out a way to share, y'all - otherwise, service will be hurt in the long run, including trouble holding the best service staff. Go there.
(4)Jennifer J.
I love this place. It is on my place of places to go every time I am in huntsville. My first time was 2 years ago. It was phenomenal then and just as good now. Tonight is my second time in three days.
(5)Josh B.
Excellent pizza and caprese salad. The wait staff was very attentive and friendly. Overall a great atmosphere and menu selection. My only "complaint" is that they could beef up their beer selection.
(4)Kevin A.
Ran out of pizza dough! how does a pizza restaurant run out of pizza dough? The service is terrible waited over 30 minutes before the just arrived. Nice atmosphere.
(1)Catherine M.
We really enjoy going to Pane E Vino Pizzeria on a sunny day. It's a great restaurant with a great view and decent beers on tap. I would recommend giving it a try.
(4)K M.
The Jackson Pollock pizza and Greek salad were great. Similar to other comments it was really loud inside especially for it only being 4:00 on a Saturday. I will definitely go back but sit outside next time.
(4)Quinn M.
Great food. It's right next to the park and museum. I had the mushroom ravioli with added meatballs and I enjoyed it. The quantity of food for the price isn't that good, but it was enough. The sauce wasn't too greasy. I was expecting pieces of ravioli more for the price.
(4)R J.
Service was slow, never acknowledged me sitting down. Food was exceptiona, waiter was good. Price reasonable at $8 for turkey focaccia..
(4)Christopher W.
It was really good! My friend and I went here while walking around downtown, we do that a lot, and saw a sign that said a giant slice and a drink for five bucks. But the only do that at lunch time. So our waiter suggested sharing a 12 inch. It turned out to be cheaper. We got the cheese pizza. It is a New York Style kinda pizza but you can get many other things besides pizza. You can tell they severed NY Style pizza by the pictures on the wall. They had outdoor dinning and the service was great. It is located near Big Spring Park so if you are in the area I would go. The view is awesome and you are right next to the Art Museum! The dress attire can be anything from casual to dressy so don't worry about the way you dress.
(4)Jonny T.
Amazing location. Enjoy eating great food outside in a cute sitting area overlooking the park. The staff has always been polite and nice. The only thing I do not like about that's place is they close too early!
(5)Edgar D.
It isn't often that you find good dining at an Art Gallery, but that is exactly what you find at Pane E Vino. The seating area is small, and a bit cramped, but in warmer weather you'll want to sit out on the patio. Homemade pizzas, traditional Italian dishes, salads, and Paninis form the bulk of the menu. They have some local craft beers on tap. Prices are just right. My only criticism is that the dining room is a bit cramped and noisy when the place is full, which is almost all the time.
(4)Carp D.
This place has a fairly simple menu, but everything on it is great! Friendly wait staff too! Nice view of the lake at Big Spring Park/Art Museum
(5)Kathi C.
Ordered delivery- the woman who answered was very upbeat and pleasant. That's a great start- I went with the Clemenza, something standard for my first experience. It has pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, bell pepper and onion. I added the Caprese salad, with fresh bufala mozzarella, tomatoes, and arugula field greens. The pizza was good but not quite New York style. The toppings were very fresh, but the dough wasn't anything memorable. I will continue my culinary quest for good pizza in Huntsville. The salad was nice, with a generous tub of very good basil pesto. The mozzarella portions could've been larger, but the little pieces were still good. Still searching for New York Style pizza in Huntsville!
(3)Ari W.
Pizza was good, but the views are even better! Right next to the Art Museum, overlooks the Big Spring Park. After you stuffed yourself with the pizza, you can take a walk around the park. Good for a casual date. Also, there's usually a yoga+wine tasting event here on Thursdays. Yoga and wine tasting? Yes. you read it right. I know it sounds weird, but it is just a 60-75 minute yoga lesson, and wine tasting after the lesson. So yoga & wine actually don't happen at the same time. It is called "Align & Wine!" & cost is $15.
(4)Jenny P.
Pan E Vino currently holds the "Best Calzone in Town" crown for me. I love the greek calzone, but I've learned to order an extra side of sauce because the calzones are so big and the sauce is so tasty. The service has always been friendly, but if you want fast food, look elsewhere. Outside you get a nice view of the park, inside is warm and cozy. It's a great place to linger over a meal and a nice glass of wine or beer.
(5)Panda B.
IDK what's the hype about this place. Besides the waiter/waitress being nice, the food was only edible but not great. The pizza was a bit on a smaller size, more of like individual/personal pizza... I watched them behind the kitchen, and didn't see a single one throw any pizza dough so I guess they just hand rolled out the dough on the counter; maybe that's why the dough wasn't evenly spread so we have thin crust on half of the pizza and thick on the other half. Everything was salty: pizza and meatball (appetizer). The meatballs were on a bit dry side. The sauce was thick and tomato-ey, which I liked. The meatballs weren't evenly heated. The center of the meatballs were still cold. Overall, the place is okay if you're around the area. Nothing to be hailing about...
(3)Gordon M.
I have to justify my comments firstly by saying that I lived in the south of Italy, and spent 10 years in New Haven, CT, probably the best pizza in US. I was so disappointed. The pizza was a big, wet, soggy, salty, mess. The poor thing was verging on inedible. It is a shame as the restaurant is in such a great location for sitting and having a nice glass of wine.
(1)Megan D.
Excellent. One of the best pizzas I've had in a LOOONG time. I got the El Greco. The goat cheese combined with the roasted red peppers is amazing. I read a couple of other reviews about inattentive service, but I did not experience that. I had several servers ask how everything was tasting and if I needed anything else.

As a local Huntsvillian, I'm so thrilled at the increase in upscale dining in my home town, as evidenced by Chef James Boyce's arrival on the scene with first, Cotton Row; then Commerce Kitchen; then James Steaks; and now Pane E Vino. Boyce is definitely elevating the Huntsville dining experience! I've eaten at all of his restaurants (at least twice) except James Steaks. The location of Pane E Vino has been several different short-lived restaurants over the years, and I enjoy P E V the best! I've been at least 4 times and here are the PROS: Fresh-tasting food, reasonable prices, filling appetizers, good vino, welcoming patio (if you choose to eat outside), entertainment on the patio, located *in* the art museum, (so very convenient for a visit to the museum), and located *on* Big Spring Park, (complete with ducks and the historic Big Spring). CONS: VERY Noisy (bare concrete floors) [in dire need of some noise dampening ceiling apparatus or something], single stalled rest rooms (BEST ONE LINER in a restaurant when I commented aloud that the bathroom wait was long and that they must have only one stall: a young boy behind me, waiting in line for the men's room responded, "YES, it's 1 stall, and it's my grandma in there, and she takes FORever", ha ha ha), spotty service (sometimes super-attentive, sometimes you feel forgotten), no direct connection to the art museum (they've blocked off the elevator that would take you directly upstairs to the museum, but it's only a short walk to the front of the museum), very cramped interior (I really wish they would remove 2 of the 4-tops for more room and to benefit the wait staff, too!). Ive tried the Caprese, which was authentic, with buffalo mozzarella and delicious balsamic and the antipasti platter. I think my mom had a Calzone, which she enjoyed, and Dear Hubs had a pizza. Friends have recommended the eggplant Genovese Panini and commented that it was big enough to share (and only $8.00!), so you have more $ for vino! Give it a try, it's quite the hangout for 20-somethings (and up) on the weekends, which is nice to see, as our downtown has not always been as vibrant as it is becoming. "Piacere!!"
(4)Meredith P.
A friend of ours recently took us here and I really enjoyed the food. The place is a little small on the inside, so even on a not so busy night there was a wait, which I don't normally mind, but the waiting area consists of three chairs slightly off to the side right in front of the counter. They do normally have outdoor seating, that I'm sure is great on days/nights with good weather, which would up their space. Other than needing a little more space, I really like this place! The service was great, and even though we had to wait the host was really nice and took care of any drink orders we wanted while we waited. Our server was also great and the food came out pretty quick in my opinion. We ordered the breadsticks with cheese for an appetizer, and they were DELICIOUS! I could have eaten those for my meal and been perfectly happy. But we opted to order pizza too! I tried the Van Gogh, which is your basic white pizza and I would definitely recommend it. They don't have a lot of crazy topping combinations, but everything's really high quality so it all tastes awesome.
(4)Jeff C.
I returned to Pane e Vino on my last birthday for dinner, and ordered the fettuccine. It was undistinguished. I really, really like the location and atmosphere of this place, and the sandwiches are really good, but the rest of the menu is apparently more ordinary.
(3)Jillian M.
Was recommended by my sister who had been to Huntsville before. Great little place and also has outdoor seating so you can enjoy the park. I went on a Tuesday evening and the patio was packed. I sat at the bar and the bartenders were also the wait staff but they were very friendly and on top of everything. The only thing that kind of frustrated me was that they must have had a busy weekend because they were out of 1/2 their wines. On the flip side, the wines I did end up trying were very good. I ordered 1/2 of a Caesar Salad and the Monet pizza. The salad was your average caesar, nothing fancy about it which is fine by me. I can only imagine what the full size looks like because I could have shared the 1/2 with someone else. The pizza was delicious; it had provolone, prosciutto, and arugula. Everything worked so well together, it really was a yummy pizza, and it was cooked perfectly as well. If I am ever back in Huntsville I will definitely be dining here again. I wish I found it sooner!

Great patio space for drinks and friends! The Mona Lisa pie was very different and I might have added a few more pecans but I did enjoy it.

Officially my fav restau in HSV. The setting is unlike most in HSV, where most seem to struggle w/ comfortable elegance. Pane E Vino has a big city vibe, clean and simple. Feels like a bit of NYC in North ALA. Outside patio overlooks Big Springs Park & lake. Most importantly, we really enjoy the food. All the salades are great, particularly the Farmers Market. There's also usually a special salade-du-jour. Tried the spaghetti for the 1st time last week, and it was fantastic! Great meatballs. Pizzas are the real reason we go, and they're all wonderful as well, our favs being the Mona Lisa & Salvador Dali. There is also typically a pizza-du-jour, which so far, all have been really good. Everyone is a fan of their breadsticks and sauce. We always order too many but somehow they quickly disappear before the salades arrive. The sauce is some of the best I've ever enjoyed. Good beer & wine selection too. One very disturbing note, they never seem to have gelato anylonger, which puts a damper on our Affogato fun. Holding out hope they'll bring it back. PLEASE...

We just ordered our dinner from Pane E Vino and had it delivered to the hotel. The order took awhile longer than the estimated time, and the order was wrong. We had to call and have another calzone sent. Mine was pretty good, not the best I've had. We are still waiting on the next one.

We have been going to Pane e Vino for about a year. We go or order out at least once a month. The service is always good. The food is usually excellent, though there are some bad nights. Even on the worst nights, I prefer their pizza to most of the other local pizza places. The ingredients are fresh and the dough is house made. Slow nights seem to be worse than busy nights! The patio is great. It gets noisy inside.

Great pizza. Good wine and beer selection. Possibly best outdoor venue in town-right at the downtown park.

Great pizza. Wonderful Baked Ziti with Sausage.

This restaurant is in a nice setting, however the service was a bit lacking, and the food was good but not particularly special in any way (as far as gourmet pizza goes).

My wife and i have eaten at James Boyce' Commerce Kitchen downtown and enjoyed it very much. Because of this wonderful experience we wanted to try the Pane E Vino pizzeria at the Huntsville Museum. We arrived at a little past 12:00 to a packed house on multiple tables of individual diners and had to find a table on our own. After waiting 15 minutes without seeing a waiter, my wife went to the register to see who was assigned to our table. After another 15 minutes a waiter finally came ot our table to give us menus and take our order. Needless to say, this was a rushed process since we did not want to wait longer. She left without taking our drink order but did leave us with glasses of water. After another 15 minutes, she came by to refill our water glasses and I asked her if she would like to take our drink order at that time which she did. After waiting another 30 minutes our pizza arrived to a extremely brown (partially burned) color. Soon after our pizza arrived, the waiter for the adjoining table brought half of their two pizza order and appologized for buring the one of their pizzas. He informed them that he would re-ordered their pizza for them which they did and it should be coming out shortly. When it came out, it was burned also but they gave up and did not let it go back. It appeared that there was no experienced management at the pizzeria during this very busy time and was being managed by young inexperienced wait staff. The kitchen help was not much better and could not tell a burned pizza from a correctly prepared pizza. it is a shame because Huntsville needs small non-chain type eating establishments. Hopefully, Boyce can correct this before a bad reputation causes the doors to shut.

Pleasant setting with a nice view of the park. Good beer selection for a small place. Chimay on tap for $8 is great , but $8 is excessive for a pint of Peroni, Coney Island Lager, or Honey Brown. Pizza crust is good. It doesn't seem like they use fresh mozzarella on any of their pizzas so that was a little disappointing. Espresso machine is definitely not the real deal as it uses pods but given that every other restaurant in Huntsville seems to get by with standard drip coffee, this is actually a positive item instead of something to be ashamed of. An extra star is awarded for being so fearless as to stay open on a Sunday (until 8pm, no less), which makes it exceptional in the neighborhood. Incurring the wrath of Jesus and Friends is no laughing matter, so I tip my hat to these guys (and to the Art Museum with which it is connected) for going against the grain and staying open. I will be coming back.
