I don't know if we caught them on a good night or not, but judging from the other reviews, we must have. We only came to IHOP because we are boycotting Denny's because they aren't releasing the 'Hobbit Breakfast' even though they have for the past 2 Hobbit movies. Anyway, I came last night with a group of 10 and the waitress was nice, personable, and told her honest opinion of items on the menu as opposed to telling us everything was great. I appreciated that. Everyone got exactly what they ordered without any issues, and the food came relatively quickly for it to be a group of 10. We got there around 7:30, had to wait maybe 5 minutes for everyone in our party to get there. Ordered our food, received it, and ate it in a matter of 45-50 minutes. I know all this because we had to be at a movie at the Monaco at 8:35 which is around a 5-10 min drive/walk to the theater and we made it while the previews were still running. The only refill we got was when we were asking for our checks, which was an issue because I probably sat there for 10 minutes with an empty glass and our waitress was nowhere to be found so I finally resorted to drinking the remaining water in my girlfriends glass. Ultimately, it was a pleasant, experience. And I'd go back.

This place is a disaster. So disorganized. Waited 15 minutes to get coffee! Ordered our food, watched as every other table of 2 got food before us, even ones seated way after us. Every time we asked where our server disappeared to, got the runaround. Got up and left. Waste of an hour!

My boyfriend and I stopped here spontaneously to get lunch because we were running errands and starving. He was in the mood for breakfast. We sat for about 5 min without a server even coming to the table. She explained that her other table was waaayyy across the restaurant so that's what took so long. Ok. So I wanted the waffles. No waffles. Ok. Philly with a side of hash browns. Nope. No hash browns. Ok onion rings then. My boyfriend got some breakfast platter and coffee. The coffee never came. Our server never came back to the table until the food came and by then he was over it. We'd been waiting for our food for maybe 20 min. Probably more. Turns out it took so long because they were busy burning my sandwich. The only bite I took was disgusting. Burnt meat, burnt onions, soggy bun and super greasy. So I ate an onion ring since it was 2 pm at this point and I hadn't eaten yet. I told the server I couldn't eat the sandwich. I never complain. She said ok and sorry. I didn't want want anything else because we'd spent too much time there as it was. The manager took $6 off our bill even tho the meal was $8.50. I got charged $2.50 for eating 3 onion rings. Whatever. I guess ihop needs the money. Anyway all in all I've never been to an ihop before this and will never go back after. Bad service. Bad food. Bad management.

Horrible service, waited for 15 minutes for the waitress to take our order. Finally when our order is taken it takes 30 minutes to get our food. My harvest grain and nut was burnt when I told the waitress she said that's the way it looks. I know what the heck the pancakes should look like because I've ordered them countless of times from other Ihops

25 minute wait time with not many people here and had to ask for everything the waitress forgot and refills. We didn't get our toast, bacon, wife didn't get her refill or salsa for omelet. Time to demo the place, and start over. We had a hour wait, and the food was terrible. There is nothing like seeing a drug dealer going down in the parking lot with the only cook in the place. Stay away we had the worst experience anyone could have, and we will not go back.

Do not go to IHOP if you are planning on taking advantage of the Kids Eat Free night. My husband and I brought our family in and made sure that our server checked with the manager to verify that they were offering that deal. Two different servers came to confirm that this deal was still available. So we happily ordered the food but when we went to pay, the manager refused to take the cost of the meals off our ticket. Even the servers were protesting the manager's attitude. He blamed our kind waitress and refused to take responsibility for his decision. Worst service ever. If I could give less than one star, I would. I will absolutely NOT be returning to this restaurant; despite their blazing "Under New Management" sign, the management is still stupifyingly horrible.

I have been there two times and ended up having a disappointing experience on both. Similar stories. It takes a serious amount of time for someone to actually show up and get your orders ( ~25 mins) and probably you will wait the same amount for your food. What's even worse, if you are patient enough you will realize that your food is either cold or not prepared properly. (My friend had a chopped letuce with some chicken for a supposed to be sezar s salad). Worst ihop I have ever been to by far. Managers are also full of shit and excuses.

I come here when I get tired of the other breakfast places. This IHOP has really good food and is most always cooked correctly. The franchise always comes up with great food ideas to break up the monotony of having the same offerings forever. The atmosphere is definitely a step higher than the few places down the road, kind of makes you think you need to leave a larger tip.

I have eaten at this IHOP a few times and the food is consistantly good. The wait staff, well, they are okay, but "friendly" is not a word I would used to describe them. All-in-all, I prefer Waffle House, but sometimes I just don't want to sit elbow-to-elbow with other diners.

You would think all chain restaurants are pretty consistent. I used to enjoy going to IHOP when I lived in NVA. However, all the IHOPs here seem to use a different method or something. They taste very "gruelly?" - I can't put my finger on it but I just couldn't enjoy the food. Don't know why - maybe they used too much gravy or something.

This restaurant is open 24 hours, and I think that is every day. Our friendly waitress, Sabrina, took good care of us. Food was very good: my wife ordered pancakes with banana cream, banana slices and strawberries. This is one of the summer specials. The waitress brought us an extra plate, and we split it. She also made us a fresh pot of decaf coffee. Our bill for this light supper was $9.58. We had arrived here a little before 9 pm. I'll try not to come here that late again. Folks out on the streets start getting a little funnier looking after dark. This is an older IHOP. My bench seat in a booth had a small rip in it. However, nothing smelled funky this time, as it did the last time I was here.

This was our second time having breakfast here on a weekend. It's usually busy, but the wait is never really that bad. They are a little disorganized at the front between the cashier and hostess. So me and my two friends normally go down the street to the waffle house on the corner of Jordan lane and university but we decided to mix it up a bit and go to IHOP, BIG MISTAKE! We arrived 1040 pm and we're seated I'm in the front area. About 15 minutes later a waitress takes our drink order. about 15 minutes later she comes back to take our food order...still no drinks yet. About 30 min later still no drinks but we do notice SHE is drinking a drink sitting around talking to other staff. Finally at 11:48pm we had enough and left without ever getting a single drink. I have never left a review but I was so fed up I downloaded yelp just to tell everyone how bad this place SUCKS. WORST SERVICE EVER! as we were walking out the door the Manger was standing there and didn't say a thing, not a sorry, or let me fix this, nothing! doesn't even deserve 1 star. afterwards we left and went to waffle house. we were in and out in 20 minutes great service and food. Screw this ihop and their staff never go there the place is run by lazy idiot morons!

Normally IHOP is very reliable but today is not good morning. I understand that supplies run out from time to time, however don't wait 30 minutes later to tell me you've run out of shelled eggs at a place that specializes in breakfast. So no eggs made to order and over 30 minutes to get our food very disappointed. I just realized my seat was covered in syrup so also been sitting in it the whole time and to top it off the credit card machine is broke. Do not come to IHOP today.

Went to IHOP on Univ. late on a Monday night because I heard on the radio kids eat free month of July. My hubby and I ordered the Blueberry Harvest Grain pancakes and eggs off the Slim and Fit menu with a side of turkey sausage. My kids had the grilled cheese and fruit and the grilled fish and broccoli plates. Our food was great, it was hot, pancakes were fluffy like I like them, the kids fruit bowl was large (enough for hubby and I to share)...and the grilled fish (tilapia) was enough for an adult. I've always thought IHOP had the best pancakes in town (better than Cracker Barrel and even Two Broken Eggs) so that is not my reason for writing review. When I asked about the kids eating free we were told that they were not running that special. I was a little disappointed but not enough to leave...kids meals were $5 and $3 cheaper than any other place. But what I appreciated was that when we went to pay our bill they comped one of our kids meals for the confusion. Now that is a good business. Serve good food, have good service and make your customers happy.

Pretty great service. I ordered steak tips and it came out in like 6 minutes. Great quality. My only negative was the manager talked to his staff very critically and condescending. And there was some staff member drama. But my waitress and the food were excellent

Bad service , Bad attitude . Never ever again ..

25 minute wait time with not many people here and had to ask for everything the waitress forgot and refills. We didn't get our toast, bacon, wife didn't get her refill or salsa for omelet. When I talked to owner at the register about how bad the food and service was she said "Sorry you feel that way, $32.71." No let me try to make it better for you, can I fix it, let me discount your bill, nothing. Don't come here and waste your money.

Time to demo the place, and start over. We had a hour wait, and the food was terrible. There is nothing like seeing a drug dealer going down in the parking lot with the only cook in the place. Stay away we had the worst experience anyone could have, and we will not go back.

Happy to see this IHOP is back. Went today 3/1/15 and it was very good. Great service and they were obviously trying very hard.

I usually go to IHOP for breakfast first time doing Dinner and I was not impress. I decided to order the Sirloin bits the steak was a bit dry but had good flavor, the vegetables were ok. The restaurant was fairly empty late afternoon and the staff appeared friendly

This was our second time having breakfast here on a weekend. It's usually busy, but the wait is never really that bad. They are a little disorganized at the front between the cashier and hostess. The waitress was very friendly and the food was out quickly. It's IHOP food, so I am not sure what people expect. It's decent quality for the price.

Food and service has improved a lot from last time post was left. Food is still kinda unpredictable but so far has been much better.

Recently visited here while on vacation. BJ was my waiter and he was very nice and attentive. I really enjoyed the CinnaStack French toast platter. My friend had the Philly Cheese-steak Sandwich which was not as good as at other chain locations. Overall a good experience.

Wow, place is empty and we've been waiting over 40 min for our food...and there are only 3 of us. Definitely don't recommend this place if you want timely service.

I have eaten at this IHOP a few times and the food is consistantly good. The wait staff, well, they are okay, but "friendly" is not a word I would used to describe them. All-in-all, I prefer Waffle House, but sometimes I just don't want to sit elbow-to-elbow with other diners.

Eggs basted medium delivered poached hard. Crispy hash browns barely warm and almost raw. Delivered 10 minutes after the French toast. Service was fine, left to apologize for incompetence in the kitchen. Won't be back. No option for zero stars.
