ABSOLUTELY FABULOSO! If you're like us and need a GREAT mexican place this is the place to go. My husband and I moved here from Tucson, AZ and was told about other mexican restaurants. Well, the meaning of 'mexican food' is nothing like to what we are accustomed. I found El Monte in a search and saw the ratings. We went there today and intend to go back weekly. Salsa is very tasty and not sweet like most of the mexican restaurants here. Service was superb and prices very reasonable.

I was torn on whether to give El Monte 3 stars or 4 stars... finally decided 3 stars would be more accurate. I personally like El Monte. They have a friendly and helpful wait staff. The food is good but not exceptional; it's not the quality that one would find in Cantina Laredo, Phil Sanoval's, or Rosie's Mexican Cantina. However, the prices are very reasonable and the food reflects this affordability. If you happen to be in this part of Huntsville and hungry for Mexican, El Monte will satisfy your appetite with a smile.

I love this place. I go to it almost every weekend. Thursday's at 6 there's trivia night with prizes. I love the food in the price. If it is Mexican food, they have all of it here. Their kids menu is amazing too. It actually has real Mexican food on it unlike many other restaurants. Very family friendly.

I picked up a to go order this evening and was very pleasantly surprised. I had the Grilled Chicken Quesadilla, Burrito Mexicano, and Mexican Flan. All were above average (I thought the flan was outstanding) and packed well so that they were still hot when I got them home. The salsa was really good and I got plenty of chips to go with it. I will definitely be back.
