Best steak in town. Service is always outstanding. The dry aged steaks that are offered as specials are just fantastic! This is our "go to spot" for all our special occasions. SPACESHIP! SPACESHIP! SPACESHIP!

We have always like Conner's ever since it opened. The food and atmosphere is very nice. The biggest issue we have is usually how long you have to wait even when there does not seem to be many people waiting for a table. I don't know if it is slow service(they always seem in a rush) or people just don't eat fast here and tend to stay around but if you don't leave a reservation you can be waiting a hour or more especially on weekends and often times calling a day or two ahead they will only have availability late at night for a reservation. The steaks are good and the meal comes with a salad/soup and side which is nice, the lobster/crab bisque is very good. Some of the specials are really high priced so we never bothered with them but overall the food is good.
(4)Matt W.
The default place for a nice lunch or dinner in Huntsville. Prices are reasonable and the service is always excellent.
(4)Audrey R.
If in Alabama, this restaurant is defiantly a must. The wine and bar is great, and the food is good as well. Good Top Shelf Scotchs are always in stock.
(4)Paul L.
Google Map is not accurate (as of 7-16-2009); Connors is located at The Bridge Street town center on Northwest side of I-565 and Research Blvd (old Rideout Road). Connors is IMHO the best restaurant at The Bridge Street, which is saying something because all the restaurants at Bridge Street town center are excellent. On weekend evenings, wait times of 1 to 1-1/2 hours are not uncommon. It's easier to get in during the work week or for lunch. :-)
(5)Lau H.
I love their lunch menu! The regular menu is a little pricey but the servings are really generous and they have really good lunch specials, which actually includes steak! They're really good with groups and the service is really good too. Every single time I've been there the supervisor has gone by the table to check if everything is okay. I definitely recommend this restaurant.
(4)Aaron C.
Great service, food is tasty, make reservations...enough said.
(5)Chris W.
Went at Lunch time. Place was running about a 15-20 min wait. We elected to eat in the bar area. We sat across from the dessert chef, big mistake ... but watched a lot of beautiful desserts get made up. I had fish n' chips, which was OK ... too much hard crusty batter hid the supposed cod within. Won't order that one again. My cohort had a ribeye which was delicious he said. Cooked right, as was the rest of his meal. Next time I go there I think I will request their outdoor seating.
(4)Dean S.
Probably my favorite restaurant in Huntsville. Enjoy your seafood sitting out by the waterfront. If you're looking for a lobster dinner, this is the place.
(3)Brandy R.
This is the place we go for those special occasions. I love Bridge Street but love Conner's even more! I have tried just walking in for a seat and always have to wait quite a while so now we make reservations and that is definitely the way to go especially on the weekends. I always order the Boursin Filet and it never disappoints. Truly the best steak I've ever put in my mouth! Service is great and the atmosphere is upscale/romantic. In my opinion it's the best place to eat at Bridge Street.
(5)S T.
I was recommended this place by the hotel clerk at the Hilton Garden Inn on Governors House Drive and she was not off the mark. The food here is fantastic! I had a 12 oz ribeye with boursin cheese and onions, a side of garlic herb mashed potatoes, and the lobster crab bisque for appetizer. All of which were fantastic! The service (at the bar) was great and the location is great on their artificial lake. Definitely going to be back here on all my business trips.
(5)David P.
The food is good, and if you like Outback, but want to spend more money for similar food that will not surprise you then this is probably good for you. It's pricey and kinda upscale I guess, but has a hard time escaping that chain feel.
(3)Cassondra S.
Great atmosphere and menu. I love how you get a full view of the chefs and how the servers wear chef's coats. Our server was wonderful; she was knowledgeable, friendly and fast. The menu can be a bit pricey, but worth it. Go for a great date night.
(4)Kristin B.
This is my family's favorite place to celebrate! I've had lunch and dinner here several times and the drinks, service, food are always excellent! Be sure to make reservations!
(5)Tyler L.
First time last week and can't wait to return. Great everything! Enjoyed two bottles of Caymus Cab with our steaks. The waiter was terrific, bringing all itmes ordered on time and stopping by also at the right times. It all just works.

I came to Connor's two days in a row for lunch with co workers, it was that good. I have the Reuben and the next day had the daily mussel special. Both were fantastic. My co workers got shrimp and grits, crabcakes, dessert and a number of other things. Everyone loved everything. Their lunch special menu is very reasonable (between $9-12) for a hearty portion of food, and the food comes out reasonably quickly. But, we were never rushed nad the service was great. Connor's gets it's about fundamentals. The food is solidly executed and doesn't try to be too much, which I always appreciate.
(4)Connie M.
Excellent!! The Chilean sea bass was wonderful!! Great location, great atmosphere.
(4)Kim P.
I've eaten at Conner's twice - liked it both times - would go back. The service and food were good. My sister loves their chicken fingers.
(4)James T.
Went in on a Friday night and the place was packed, we did find a spot at the bar. The bartender was extremely friendly and nice to chat with. We had Oysters for an appetizer and they tasted really fresh. My wife and I shared a steak, glad we did, no way could I have finished it on my own. It was perfectly cooked with lots of flavor. The side dishes were great as well. I thought the prices weren't too bad, a bit higher than usual, but I'm used to prices from Los Angeles. Great food, great atmosphere, will definitely go back again.
(5)Matthew H.
This is by far my favorite restaurant. I normally have a steak when I go for dinner which I think is the best in town. The Chef specials are very good and usually run $20 - $50. The service is excellent and they are always pleasant. They have a great lunch menu for $8 - $12. I usually get the Shrimp and Grits and I don't like grits but these are wonderful. Be sure to call ahead and get a reservation or you will have to wait for hours.
(5)Justin A.
I'm going to have to disagree with Paul L. This is possibly one of the most horrible restaurants I've been too. The pecan crusted fish was more like pecan gristle fish. There was no crust too it. It was just kind of slathered on and mushy. The shrimp and grits was also awful. It was like tomato sauce and shrimp on top of grits. I make better at my house. Horrible horrible horrible. Also very pretentious atmosphere. It seems like you're paying more for that than the food. Snobs can have this place, it's terrible.
(1)Jenny S.
This place is one of the 'better' restaurants in the area. The ambiance is cozy and the wait staff is attentive. This particular review is based on my most recent visit. I made reservations and was told to arrive 20 minutes in advance to check-in. I knocked off a star in my rating because we were seated 30 minutes after our reservation. We spent our wait time at the bar and I must say, my pomegranate martini helped me pass the time well. Once we were finally seated, we ordered more drinks and the Voodoo Shrimp appetizer (very good, similar to bang-bang shrimp at Bonefish). We both ordered the signature lobster crab bisque which never disappoints. I then had the baby spinach & strawberry salad, no complaints here! Husband went with surf and turf, filet and lobster tail with a new side they were trying which was kind of like sweet potato casserole. I sampled his plate as well, and found everything perfectly cooked and quite tasty. We were both positively too stuffed for dessert even though they all looked extremely tempting. We have always had an enjoyable dinner here and this particular evening was no different. We are hooked and will return :)
(4)Dan L.
Let me just say, I've only been to Alabama twice, and both times I've been to Connors. Okay, down to brass tacks: The pros: great, fair priced drinks, awesome appetizers (you HAVE to get the Voodoo shrimp), FREAKING amazing steaks, and very friendly and helpful staff. The cons: I don't live in Alabama so I can't eat there more often! All kidding aside, you really have to to this place if you're looking for a great steak. I went in by myself and got drinks, soup, appetizer, and huge steak, dessert and coffee, and walked out only $50 lighter. That was the best food bargain I've had. Get on a plane, bus, or covered wagon and you your behind to Alabama and get some of this stuff! You won't regret it!
(5)Tipawan G.
Good steak, stellar service. You get what you pay for. Only complaint is you come out smelling like wood grill.
(5)Elizabeth N.
This place used to be awesome, but they've clearly lost their touch. The still looks great, but my steak was overcooked and so was the lobster. My mom did enjoy her swordfish though. The waiter was nice enough to give her a bday cake too. I think he could tell i wasn't amused. It's not my policy to send food back. I just dont go back.
(3)Brian R.
It is always great here. My wife and I always split the Boursin filet with the cream spinach. It's always great and cooked perfectly. Server was also great. Only one bad time here because server talked too much about himself and mess up our order. It is one of our enjoyable spots to eat.
(4)Theresa D.
I'm sorry but every time I go I only get the lobster bisque soup and shrimp and grits and it's so delicious. I haven't tried the rest of the menu because I'm so in love with those two menu items. Highly recommended to anyone.
(5)Meghin E.
Excellent service. The lobster crab bisque is the best thing on the menu. The Boursin filet is outstanding with homemade Boursin cheese. The steaks are all so tender. My husband ordered the sirloin, and he said it tasted like a NY Strip. This is our "go-to" special event dinner. Love it!
(5)Ed L.
Been twice this week for dinner and have to say great cut and preparation of steak. Top 3 stems I ever ate. Sides also great same as service. Must have the daily lemonade!!!! Get reservations they get packed fast.
(5)Paul T.
We have been to Connors four times. The food, service, and ambiance have been consistently good. Ribeye is tender and juicy. I have yet to find a tastier Filet Mignon in town. The sides are decent. My go-to place for steak in Huntsville.
(5)Diana K.
$52 for a prime dry-aged steak that was neither prime nor dry aged. Service was super rude. Service has been bad both times we've been here; steaks were great last time. If you pay for quality steak, you should get quality steak.
(2)Amanda P.
Meh. For the price I expected more. We made a reservation and still ended up waiting over 25 minutes. Disappointing. But apparently there is such a lack of decent food in the area that even mediocre is considered very good? I don't know. This is such a beautiful area and the mall is really nice...but the recommendation of this place turned out to be a downer. I ate at a small diner earlier and quite frankly had better food and service for about 1/4 of the price. The bread was pretty good...tastes a lot like Macaroni Grill bread. The salad was over-dressed and undersized. The prime rib was actually pretty tender and tasty, but way too salty. The chicken was ICE COLD. The service was substandard, visiting infrequently and leaving us waiting for a VERY long time. He hurried to the table moments after we were seated and asked if we were ready. When we said we needed a minute, he left and didn't come back for a very long time. What kind of training do they provide their wait staff? Huge disappointment for the price and hype.
(2)Tabitha C.
My coworkers and I ate lunch here yesterday. My team raved about the food and the service from our waiter, Mike. It was about 13 of us and I must say that our food came in a timely manner. The lunch menu prices were also very reasonable. The reason Connors gets 4 stars is because of Gretchen. When she called to confirm the reservation, she was very dry and kinda of rude. I believe in great service and Gretchen didn't provide that. I say this place is worth checking out.
(4)Charlotte K.
I wanted to try a new restaurant on this visit to Huntsville. I checked several websites, and this was consistently rated highly. We were not disappointed!! My husband had a dozen raw oysters, and one of the nightly specials, the sea bass oscar. He said it was excellent! I had the scallop appetizer and the crab cake dinner. Both were fabulous, very tasty, perfectly prepared. We shared a creme brûlée, and it was probably the best I've had! Our waitress was extremely friendly, offered plenty of suggestions, and checked on us regularly. I highly recommend this restaurant!
(5)Kevin G.
Great food and atmosphere. I recommend going here if you are visiting Huntsville AL. Classic martini was great! Can't wait to eat the cheesecake later.
(5)Joe T.
Ribeye was cooked perfectly. Tender and juicy and I liked the salad and I'm not really salad person! Service was speedy in and out in about 30 mins for 5:00 pm dinner refilled tea without being asked. I will be back. Was in Huntsville on business and will be back here monthly.
(5)Kermit S.
Started with the fried calamari appetizer. Entree was the ribeye with the asiago creamed spinach and the spinach and strawberry salad. Finished with the German chocolate upside down cake. A+ meal from beginning to end. My workmates thoroughly enjoyed their respective dinners. We all left extremely happy. If I were a local, I'd be a regular. I've had lesser steaks for twice the price as this place. Very reasonable for such high quality food.
(5)Buzz B.
Don't listen to the whiners and complainers here about this place, it is obvious they complain chronically. Had a terrific lunch with my daughter for her 19th birthday. The Voodoo Shrimp lives up to the raves by others here. Her pork tenderloin medallions were superb, as was my prime rib. The complimentary bread, served with a pesto-olive oil dip, was excellent. So was the complimentary birthday dessert, strawberry shortcake with homemade vanilla ice cream and authentic whipped cream. Although the place was busy and all tables occupied, the service was efficient and prompt. (And roll eyes at the whiner who complained that the entree came before he or she finished the salad, so what, is there something wrong with eating salad WITH a meal?! Roll eyes again!) The waitress Stephanie was awesome, we'll ask for her next time we come. And there WILL be a next time!
(5)Maggie N.
We got here at around 6:30 on a Sunday night and the place was packed. We thought we would have to go to another place if the wait was too long. They seated us right away and we even got a booth. Our waiter was really informative and patience. He gave a few recommendations and answered questions about each dish that we were interested in. Service was superb. We got the voodoo shrimp for an appetizer that was really good and there were plenty leftover to take home. Highly recommended. The lobster crab bisque was good but not something I'd miss. The scallops which aren't on the menu was good but a bit too salty for my taste. There were only 6 half shells. A little disappointed with the serving for the price. Husband loved his blue cheese sirloin. Overall, a very pleasant experience and we would not hesitate to come again. The manager even stopped by to asked us how everything was.
(5)Amanda D.
Surprisingly busy inside of the mall I guess it was because of all the proms and mothers' day weekend. I absolutely LOVED the collard greens You gotta be down south to taste the greens Just a little over priced for the worth of food I guess... Service was good I was enchanted by the southern draw of our waitress. They short poured the wine a little so I had to get my second glass after the 10oz serving. My mom had the rocket city IPA and she like the "bite"to it. Over all fine.
(3)Matt H.
Ate here on my birthday, for lunch. The line wasn't too bad. I expected that because I have heard that Connors is very good, it didn't disappoint. For the price I would have expected more - but what customer doesn't? The service was prompt and friendly, I try not to be too knit picky, but the decor seemed a little dated - but that didn't effect the taste of the food. I would recommend this restaurant to any one I know coming through Huntsville. Its in a good place at the Bridge street mall.
(5)Kyle E.
It has been over a year since I've updated this review. I have been to Connors multiple times since then. Apparently the manager saw the review and made some changes because the Ribeye has been excellent every time since I posted. Keep it up Connors! You're doing great, I'm always coming back.
(5)Mike S.
Connor's is a pretty popular spot in Huntsville. In fact, it's one of the only lunch places I can think of with complimentary buzzers for the late lunch crowd (after 1pm). Maybe it's the location. Or maybe it's the fact that the dark wooded interior makes it seem later than it actually might be. But don't expect a knock-yoir-socks-off meal... It's a [small] chain after all. Overall, the food is pretty solid; I can't recall ever having a too-terrible-to-eat steak there and the grilled veggies are actually, well, grilled. Skip the aged steaks; honestly I haven't been very impressed with Huntsville's ages steak offerings and Connor's is no exception. However, their New York strip is ALWAYS good. My negatives for the restaurant are only really two things: The menu's been the same since Huntsville was founded and... I'm pretty sure they make most of their margins on wine. You have a choice of 6 or 9oz of your favorite - - well maybe not your favorite but a popular one - - red or white that can be as much as $23 (e.g. Sonoma-Cutrer and Belle Glos). That's laughable aside from the fact that those are some of my favorite names. Mixed drinks are passable for the most part. There are other places in town with much more interesting mixes. Dessert sizes are huge, but that kinda comes with steakhouse territory. If you're in a pinch for something sizzling after a hard day in retail therapy, drop by for lunch. Or if you're saddled with the out of town family... bring them for the [early] dinner scene.
(3)Tiffany D.
Connors isn't bad. Their food is pretty good. For me the customer service is always up to par. They also have good desserts. One of my favs is the strawberry shortcake. If your in the Huntsville area, stop by and check it out. Rating it 3 stars bc it's not the best food or dessert I have ever had , but for where it's at and for what it is it's not bad.
(3)Philip S.
Green fried tomatoes, shrimp and grits, and seared tuna is GREAT! Enjoyed the southern cooking flare...
(5)Scott B.
Well for the first time visiting Alabama and the Huntsville area for a job interview - from Northern Virginia - and I will say I was very very impressed with everything, including Connors! I see why this was rated so high on Yelp -- as the food was tremendous, the people all very friendly and the area around Bridge street better than anything we have up by DC. Prices were a little on the high end for Alabama it seemed, but compared to a steak house in the DC area this was a steal. Great dinner for 2, fish, steak salad, appetizer and margarita and 2 beers and I think it was about 85$ with tip. Love this place and the general Bridge street area. SO many good shops, food/bars and the movie theatre made staying at the Westin even better. No need to ever drive anywhere! I have been converted on the merits of the Huntsville region and hope to move here soon!!!
(5)Eileen S.
This was my first time at this restaurant. Its perfectly located in the popular new shopping area in Huntsville called Bridge Street. My sister wanted to take me here for the great seafood. The staff was warm and friendly. Its was a Saturday afternoon so we waited about 30 mins for a table which wasn't bad. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. Our server's name was Ryan and he was excellent. Answered any questions we had and kept the Raspberry lemonade coming ( which is very good). The portion sizes are huge and for the two of us we only spent about $50.00 for a three course meal.
(5)Jeremy M.
Go during lunch hours and enjoy same meal as at dinner at half the price. I've not had the steaks but all lunch menu items are excellent. Bread is free and excellent as well. My favorite is shrimp and grits. Best I've had anywhere. Lots of food. Our favorite place to eatin huntsville.
(5)Michael V.
Good food, steak and crab cakes were really good and service was great. Also, John Stamos was here tonight. No joke.
(5)Jeremy T.
Came here with all of my family to celebrate my 23rd birthday back in August. We had a good time and I had a good birthday. The service was good, our server knew his menu pretty well and was happy, until my moms steak and step dads steak got messed up. They both ordered fllet migon and the server got his manager. I was shocked on how the manager did not offer a comp or anything. He apologized and walked away. The other bad thing? Well when we were finished and I had a cupcake that my cousin had gotten me, a good looking gal walked over and gave me a dessert, I did not even touch it but my mom sure did. What was crazy was they charged us almost $10 for the thing, it did not even look all that pleasant. I know 5 star places do that in bigger cities but for this place, they should not have done it. I like the decor and interior of the place, I would take a girl out on a date here don't get me wrong.
(3)Mike K.
Nice atmosphere but waaaaaaaay overpriced....I would expect these prices on Michigan Ave. In Chicago or Park Ave. In Manhattan....Huntsville? ? I guess certain people have no idea they are being taken..... $9 for a Crown and Coke???
(2)Christy B.
I never leave here disappointed. Ribeye cooked medium with grits and collard greens is my favorite dish. I also love the shrimp and grits and the voodoo shrimp
(5)B S.
Came by for lunch on. Friday and man is this joint busy!! Totally busy at opening so my tip is if you didn't make reservations go to the bar area. Thankfully this is a smoke free venue! The seafood bisque was excellent and the pork belly dish I had was fantastic so this place is going on my "where to eat at the Bridge Mall" list. They are at the top...
(5)Tyron H.
Just got the Ribeye steak again and it was awesome. Never disappointed with the service or food.
(4)James L.
This is literally the best place in North Alabama to eat. It's a wonderful atmosphere and great for any special occasion or even just a nice evening out. Every now and then if I'm feeling really hungry, I'll get an appetizer, but usually I feel like I'm going to burst by the time I'm ready to leave. Do not leave without trying the lobster crab bisque. I always use the bread they bring and dip it in my soup. Speaking of which, I've never been disappointed with any choice on the menu. However, my two favorites are: the off the menu Delmonico steak; and the 12 oz. ribeye. Always cooked to perfection, the only way to ruin it is to get it well done, or use steak sauce. My girlfriend tries new things every now and then, but she usually gets the smaller Filet Mignon. Sides are usually pretty good sized. The sweet potato fries are really good. The desserts are great as well. The banana's foster, creme brulee, and just a basic scoop of vanilla ice cream are plenty to share between two. I love this place and will definitely be back, multiple times.
(5)Candi K.
Went here on a date night with another couple who raved about the steaks. First things first. If you have more than two people in your party (unless all four of you are skinny minnies) ASK for a table. I promise these are the smallest booths I've been in! I sat next to the wall and I kept hitting the wall with my elbow. There was just no room on the table or in the booths. The table was barely big enough for all 4 of our drinks and plates. On to the food. For appetizer we ordered the fried mushrooms. They were fine. Regular bar standard fried mushrooms, nothing special. Before my steak came out I had the lobster bisque. While certainly not the best I've had, it was very tasty. Came out lukewarm, but with chunks of lobster meat, I overlooked this. On to the steak. I ordered the oscar filet (9 oz) cooked medium. The filet came out with the standard crab sauce on top with two asparagus spears, again, nothing special. The steak unfortunately was WAY overcooked. I ordered my filet medium and it came out well done. NOT ok. Had we not been in a time crunch (we needed to make a movie) I totally would have sent this back. But, as it was I ate half of my steak and took the rest home. Also the flavor was ok, again standard chain restaurant steakhouse fare, nothing special. For a side I ordered the cheesy grits. Again, ok. They were cheesy, but a little dry. Flavorful enough, but I definitely wouldn't order them again. On to the service. Our server was Brandon, he was so great, very personable. The only thing was he told my husband and my friend's husband (both of whom had birthdays) that he was going to bring them a cake, he never did...All in all this is a fine restaurant for a night out, just nothing special. Decent food, decent price I suppose. Our bill with two cocktails was $96.00. For that price I'll go back to Commerce Kitchen and get the best cheesy grits ever!
(3)Matt A.
Honestly, I WANT to love Connors. I really do try...but the food is consistently underwhelming to me. Yes, it's good. But I walk in feeling excited and hoping for an unforgettable meal - and I never get that. It's just "ok" every time I go. After the last time, my wife remarked, "Why do we keep coming here hoping for something more?!" I don't know...and we haven't been back in over a year now. But I did notice as I passed recently that I wanted to try again...so clearly SOMETHING is drawing us there. It's just not the food - but I wish I knew why I was so attracted to the place!
(3)Gilbert G.
Second visit to this restaurant, and it was consistently good. I ordered the prime rib first time which I would recommend, second time I ordered the ribeye. I ordered medium and it was probably slightly above medium, and was also a bit salty which is not necessarily bad, depending on your taste. The star of the meal was the creamy asiago spinach, delicious. Right balance of cheese to spinach, and not salty which was surprising because of it having asiago cheese. I will be heading back here to have the prime rib, on my next visit to Huntsville.
(5)Lynn J.
Wonderful dinner. The filet was perfectly seared to medium rare. Very tender. The collard greens were tasty. The look on my friend's face when he devoured the lamb chops was priceless. He also enjoyed both the soups (Sam, our server brought both since he couldn't make up his mind). Nice Penfolds Shiraz accompanied our meal. And to top it off, the chocolate mousse cake! Thank you to Sam, our server. She was wonderful!
(5)Tiffany E.
I've enjoyed Connors each time I've visited. The steaks are obviously great, and have actually been cooked to my desired temperature, which seems to be more difficult than it should. Homemade desserts are also a plus.
(4)Mike H.
Had the small fillet with house salad and grilled asparagus. Was by myself and was able to sit immediately at the bar. Would be 15-20 wait for table. The service was quick and food served timely. The food was great. Enjoyable. Not noisy. One of the best steaks I have ever had.
(5)Robert D.
Great service. Chicken piccata was delicious. Fantastic New England clam chowder with lots of clams. As always, steaks were perfectly cooked. Was my wife's b'day and the provided a complimentary strawberry shortcake for dessert which was on a delicious spice pound cake. Overall, we had three outstanding meals.
(5)Elle E J.
Simply put, they make a great steak. I had the filet, baked potato, and a salad. The meat was perfectly cooked and perfectly seasoned, which is what I usually find to be lacking in other establishments. In addition to the quality meat, the service was stellar. The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgable. They also offered a pretty good wine list, which never hurts. The reasons for 4 instead of 5 stars are 1. The other items were uninspired... But I was there for steak. 2. Being located at Bridge Street ensures a steady large crowd and a walk to parking.
(4)José A.
I ate here on the last night of a business trip to Huntsville, and boy was I impressed. The restaurant looks big from the outside, but turns out to be relatively small. It is very nice and the ambiance is intimate, romantic even. I was very impressed with the service - it was very friendly, efficient, and downright Southern. I had their prime rib - the 12oz-er, cooked to perfection with sweet potato fries. They had a decent choice of beers, wine, and other drink. And although I didn't have dessert, the pics sure looked good. Yep, if and when I return I'll definitely go back.

Huntsville, AL- First time to Huntsville and looking for a good restaurant with a great steak. Took 4 other businessmen to this restaurant in well designed outdoor mall. They tout their aged steaks like a Morton's, Ruths Chris and other high end steak houses but that is where the similarity ends. After being greeted by a well spoken waiter, he quickly grew overbearing. He attempted to "up-sell" every single order as he went around the table. It was very annoying to hear him suggest to each person that he would go with another steak after they stated their order. If I heard him suggest the $53 Cowboy rib eye one more time after telling him i was looking for the zestiness of a NY sirloin I may have looked for Wyatt Earp. We started with the large Island seafood platter which was very good. King crab, lobster tail, oysters, crab and shrimp. (Small point was the it needed to be served on a rotating platter so everyone could get what they wanted) The caesar salad was also e=very good and came immediately after we were done with the seafood platter. However, steaks started arriving before we were done with our salad course. The waiter put my plate down between me and the person next to me while i had a mouthful of salad. We didn't even has a chance to look at the wine menu as it was brought to me just after the steaks arrived. Timing was terrible and the arrogance of the waiter made things worse. To top it off my medium rare steak was medium. The place has promise but needs lots of refinement. Overall a very dissappointing experience.
(2)Chase C.
They have the best steak I have ever eaten. The steak, shrimp, bread everything was great. Will go back again.

One of the most courteous staff I've ever seen. The food was outstanding and the atmosphere was great. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet good meal.

My first visit to Conners. The first impression is the restaurant is abanoned. The outside is very plain. Our party of four were seated promptly during mid-afternoon (2pm). For appetizers, we enjoyed lobster dip with rice chips & crispy calamari. My appletini was wonderful!!! Our main entrees were Shrimp Florentine with angel hair spagetti covered in creamy sauce for me, Sirloin & potatoe for my husband, Reuben sandwich with sweet potatoe fries for my son, & for his girlfriend fish and chips. We will defiantly return!

Beautiful place, friendly service and the price isn't bad as well. We went there on a Saturday night, in a large group, the waiter was very nice and nothing was wrong with any food or the drinks. The food arrived all at once and was hot and fresh! All the drinks were accurate and were delivered promptly. The restaurant itself was beauteous and the feng shui is brilliant. All in all, Go! You will not regret it!

Well, I can't comment on the food because I didn't get a chance to eat there , nor will I go back unless I am in the mood for further arrogance, condescension, and rudeness. We called at noon and asked for a reservation and had an extended conversation with the reservation person about times, table or booth, size of our group (4), and the fact that we were coming for a birthday. We thought all was set but when we arrived the "Manager" demanded to see our texted reconfirmation which we unfortunately had deleted. DO NOT DELETE! They have RULES and by God you shall obey them! He basically called us liars and told us it would be an hour for a table. No attempt to help us, no apologies , just him with his rules and and his little clipboard. As a fellow restaurateur I unfortunately see this "you are soooo lucky to be here" attitude in restaurants and I'm sorry for the hard working Chefs and Owners who undoubtedly would be unhappy with such a lack of hospitality. We did however have a wonderful dinner at Grill 29. Go there.

Connors is my favorite restaurant in Huntsville and there are lots of good ones here! The steak is always tender, the prime rib is done perfectly, the salad is wonderful (I love their Ranch and my husband loves their bleu cheese), and their bread is scrumptious. We try to make reservations when dining here, so we don't have to wait. It's a popular place and is always hopping. We love the wait staff. They know their stuff and are always there when you need them, but don't hover or make you feel rushed. I highly recommend Connors. It's ALWAYS a hit!
(5)Molly C.
First off, every time you go they are going to tell you that there is a two hour wait. I'm not sure if that's really the case or not BUT it's worth the wait or you can just sit in the bar area. I have been to quite a few of the high-end steakhouses around the country and the steak that I had at Connors definitely rivals them. It took my by complete surprise since it's in Huntsville (no offense) and its in a mall. Don't walk past it!
(5)Scott F.
Did not live up to my expectations. Was told you could cut an ages steak with a fork. After $49 for one large steak spent the night using a fork. Sorry would have been just as happy with a well seasoned $30 steak.

My husband and I just celebrated our anniversary at Connors and I can honestly say it was the best meal I have ever had. Be sure to get the strawberry and spinach salad - it is divine! I ordered the 6-oz filet, and as soon as I cut into it, I could tell it was perfect. It was "like buttah." It was cooked to an exquisite medium. My husband's 9-oz filet could have been cooked just a smidgen more, but it tasted so good, he wouldn't have dared send it back! Everything was delicious, and the service was incredible. Our server Kayla was so attentive and service was very timely. We were even served a complimentary "half portion" of their signature strawberry shortcake for dessert, since we were celebrating our anniversary. If I could give more than five stars, I definitely would! Will certainly go back!

My dad (originally from the area) has taken us down to Bridge Street to take a walk but never had time to actually sit down and eat at any of the restaurants. My mom got a red snapper to go for lunch and raved about it so we decided to make out way over for dinner. Immediately seated and greeted by friendly faces, I ordered the lobster bisque, sirloin with baked potato. Mom went with the salmon, steamed broccoli and collard greens in the place of rice. Dad wanted to see if the crab cake was as good as my native Maryland ones and settled on that with creamed spinach and lobster bisque as well. Everything was cooked to perfection and quite tasty without being under or over seasoned. Also being curious and not able to fight it off, I ordered a slice of classic NY Cheesecake. Oh mi gosh, so divine. It was HUGE. Had so split it with my mother and even then we ended up leaving a little leftover. When I say everyone was beyond pleased, it was to the point when we left and passed the kitchen we gave the cooks thumbs up. This place is awesome for date night, anniversary or any kind of special occasion celebration!
(5)L B.
Service is good, creme brûlée is delicious-- but the main course is over priced and disappointing. Crab bisque had shell shards in it. Crab legs are so expensive and taste fishy and old. Steak (filet mignon) isn't anything special, Outbacks spice blend is more flavorful. Overall, disappointed in money spent for sub par food.

I was in Huntsville for a trade show and ate at Connors for the first time ever. Myself and my two colleagues had an absolutely excellent experience. I had the grilled lamb chops and they had the salmon and mahi mahi. All three dishes we were prepared to perfection and that includes the salads and bread beforehand. In addition our server, Ryan, did an excellent job and contributed much to making it a great experience. I highly recommend Connors!
(5)Izzat A.
Solid solid place. Went here during a business trip. Got the Colorado BBQ chicken and it was very good. The BBQ sauce that they used was just awesome. Got mashed potatoes and mac n cheese as the sides and both were great. This places really makes me miss southern comfort food. Located in a big town center, the decor is really nice and the service was very very friendly and prompt. Would absolutely recommend.
(4)Jennifer C.
There were 5 of us and our server, Josh, was the best. If you go, ask for his section. I have to say, the side dishes, Mac & Cheese and Collard Greens were the standout for me. While everything on our plates were wonderful, I would have no problem just coming in for those 2 sides as a meal. You must order the Strawberry Shortcake for dessert, it's excellent, but be prepared to share. I am so wishing this place was in STL. Can't wait to get back to Huntsville for my next visit to Connors.

Mac and cheese mmmmm....

Absolutely wonderful prime rib! Ambience is very nice, had a great lunch there.

More like a two and a half star. The restaurant was half full and we waited 45 minutes for our table. I can tell this was due to their staffing issues, but I think it shows how they did not train their waiters to be able to handle a full house for an establishment of this "caliber". Waiter was nice to ask for our drinks and offered bread. We did not get it til after our salad and appetizers came and also after the table next to us who sat down after us ALSO got drinks AND bread and their soup and salad. Our table ordered: Oysters - those were normal run of house crab cakes - they were ok. Not great, not terrible. mainly becuase I think the crab they used was not fresh, but the canned kind, it was well made, but quality wise was lacking. Lobster bisque - people say that it is delicious, but it was just salty to me and tasted like the canned version from fresh and easy. There were bits of crab and lobster i think on the bottom, but hardly anything to rave about. Prime Rib - DO NOT GET THIS. IF you have been to lawrys or even made prime rib at home, you will know that you do not slice prime rib and keep it under the heatlamp to dry it all up then serve with a side of au jus. It was so dry it was more like a ham like texture more than anything. Rib eye - They cut it thinner than most so when I ordered medium rare, it was more a medium to medium well on the outer parts. Seasoning was a little too sweet for me? Not sure what was in there to cause that. It also didn't taste too beefy and had a more "marinated" taste. lobster tails - those were done right and was the best part of the meal. Desserts were good and coffees were good. This is a good place to bring clients to eat for the atmosphere and to show them you think they are important enough to spend that much on them. However, Ruth Chris would be a better option for steaks since even the quality of the meat here was not good. I thought to go to the less big box restaurant compared to ruth chris but was pretty disappointing by the quality. Ah well, at least the lobster was good.

Went for my birthday in January!!!! Great place for calamari and their steak is awesome
(5)Jena M.
I was in Huntsville for work and Connors was recommended to the group and we were not disappointed. We were able to grab a table for six in the first-come, first-served area near the bar as soon as we walked in the door. The service was excellent, drinks great and the food, oh the food ... it was Ah-Mazing! We had the Ahi tuna, calamari, and mozzarella sticks for apps, along with their warm, crusty bread with pesto in olive oil followed by Cesar salads. For the main course, a menagerie of steaks were ordered (their blue cheese steak was superb!) and shrimp & grits. The steak was perfectly cooked to the order and the baked potatoes perfect. Sadly, everyone was too full for dessert, but the list was enticing! The ambiance was classy and in a lovely location with plenty of shopping options available. Suffice to say I will definitely be dining at Connors in the future and it is simply a must-try should you be looking for a great dining experience in Huntsville!
(5)Paul T.
Had dinner here on a Monday night. Was very busy night - even at the bar, where I sat. Overall, I strongly recommend this place. The staff was extremely friendly and courteous. The food was excellent. Had the Lobster bisk soup which was probably on of the best I have ever had.
(4)Michelle T.
Impressive! The food was outstanding and the service was great too. Employees wore wireless earpieces to communicate quickly, making things run quickly and smoothly. The only other place I think I've seen that is at Din Tai Fung in Arcadia, CA. Food quite good too. Warm bread served with olive oil and pesto: good. House salad (no egg, no bacon): very good. Atlantic salmon, mesquite grilled with peperonata on top, with rice and steamed broccoli (lightly buttered): excellent. Salmon cooked just right, seasoned perfectly, nothing too salty or oily, even the butter on the broccoli was light enough that I didn't mind (usually hate butter on veggies). Next time must try dessert! Located in shopping mall, plenty of parking although you may have to walk a little. Make a reservation if you don't want to wait an hour during prime times, although even with a reservation I think you may wait a little--they told me they try to seat you within 20 min if your res time
(5)Neekosum N.
Really good food. Best place in Huntsville. A bit pricey but every penny is worth. You have to make reservations a head of time if not you can't get in even on weekdays. Lamb chops are great.

I came here to Dine by the recommendation of one of my employees. The promised me it was top of the line service and the best steak in town. As I first walked in I noticed a slight buzz about the place. Being a single girl and traveling for work I was slightly excited. I thought "Alas, maybe some small conversation with a bartender will provide this lonely traveler with some company" I thought wrong. I sat at the bar (per usual of my routine.). A bartender greeted me with "hi, how are you?" and continued on to cleaning a wine glass and making servers drinks. It became apparent to me that I was sitting on the "service well" side of the bar. A few minutes passed and once he realized I was in fact, there to stay he asked me what I wanted to drink. I asked for a wine menu. The Le Crema was slightly overpriced (23$ for a nine ounce pour) but it's one of my favorites so I decided to go with it. I opted to order my steak at the same time as my wine to avoid any further delay. First came the salad. Decent in size and just the right amount before a steak. The steak came before I was through with my salad which is something that I frown upon. I don't like to be rushed and with it being 8pm on a Sunday evening I clearly was in no hurry. More appropriate timing would have been appreciated. I took a bite and was instantly disappointed. The steak lacked flavor. I ordered it medium rare, it came out medium. A few minutes went by and the bartender finally asked how my meal was (an improvement from the Southern, where I had recently dined.). I replied with a meek "it's okay." Instead of engaging and asking if something was wrong or if there was something he could do to improve my meal he just kept walking. As I finished my wine I asked for a desert menu. After 4 minutes of looking over it and another 10 minutes of no one asking if I'd like to try something I opted to skip desert, finish my wine and write this review. For a place to call itself 4 stars I would expect it to be 4 stars. After the lack of attempt to upsell (I ordered a 6 ounce steak but easily could have been talked into the 9) the lack of attention to detail (a napkin would have been nice underneath my water and wine. I eventually grabbed my own) and the overall lack of attentiveness to this guest, I have a difficult time even considering it to be 2 stars. I would consider Watercress or James Steakhouse before coming here.

It was my first time here, and I could not have asked for a better experience. Important thing: MAKE A RESERVATION! They are up front with you on the phone and say their goal is to seat you within 15 minutes of your reservation. We were seated within 5. We had a party of 5 (family) on a Tuesday night - I actually laughed when my mom suggested we call ahead. Who goes out on a Tuesday? Turns out a lot of people do! So no matter when you go - make a reservation. The service: Amazing. James was our waiter. He knew that menu better than the back of his hand. He was very upbeat, funny, and helpful. He kept our table clean and free of used dishes, and constantly made sure we had everything we needed. It was a busy night, but he was extremely attentive. The food: Wow. Each of us ordered something different - at our table we had pasta, steak, ribeye, chicken, seafood. No one was disappointed. Well, scratch that... I was disappointed that my stomach couldn't hold more! The portions are quite large, and I knew I should stop eating, but it was so delicious I couldn't help myself. Price wise, it was not bad either. It came out to about $25/person and that includes food, teas/soda, and a few of us split dessert as well. If you are looking for a nice place for a date or a family gathering, I would DEFINITELY suggest Connor's. Can't wait to go back.
(5)Mari K.
Everytime I'm in the mood for steaks or seafood, I go here. So far, everything that I ordered was delicious. It's usually crowded on the weekends, 11:00AM-12:30PM on Mon-Fri and during dinner so I suggest you to make reservations if you want to eat during those times. Otherwise, you get seated right away. The staff is friendly. Make sure you listen to their recommendations!
(4)K M.
I hadn't been to Connors since they originally opened several years ago but decided to go back for my birthday dinner. I had high expectations based on the ratings and wasn't disappointed. I had the Parmesan crusted halibut, cheese grits and broccoli all of which were cooked perfectly. Our table also ordered the prime rib which was tender enough to be cut with a fork and the mahi. We will definitely be going back, it was well worth the cost.
(5)Theresa L.
Was in Huntsville for work, my hotel was right across the street so decided to give this place a try. Really nice place, hostess was a little on the unfriendly side but that was the only negative of the place. My waiter was fantastic, friendly and suggested some great dishes. You get warm bread with pesto/olive oil to start. I got the strawberry spinach salad to first, delicious! I got the 6oz filet with a side of Mac and cheese and ended with the strawberry shortcake for dessert. Prices was very reasonable, food was enjoyable! And after dinner you can walk off your meal by doing a little bit of shopping :)
(4)Chuck H.
Excellent! The food was perfectly prepared and our waiter went out of his way to be helpful. We will definitely return when we are back in Huntsville.
(5)Amanda S.
The first time I came here I ate here for a lunch date with my husband. We didn't have to wait to be seated which was nice. Atmosphere was nice. Service was excellent. Food was alright. I had the crab bisque it was pretty good but I have had much better. Salads were good. My husband had the shrimp and grits. He was crazy about them. To me they tasted a little leftover. 1892 East over in Five Points has way better shrimp and grits. The second time I came here for lunch there were 3 adults and two children. We had the crab dip for our started which was pretty tasty. Tiny portion though. It was at least different from other crab dips I have had. One thing I appreciated is that the server heard me talking about needing to eat gluten free and brought me over a gluten free menu. I ordsered a steak and the quality of the cut of meat was disappointing especially since their specialty is steak. As I was walking out we passed a table that had been served some amazing looking entree salads which I would like to try if I return to Conner's. Our total was around $100 for lunch for 3 adults and 2 kids. Which was high for how ordinary and mediocre the food was here. The server was great and I do like the atmosphere here. I would like to give the food another chance. I would go back to try those amazing looking salads! I would recommend this place for lunch. I would not pay the dinner prices here. It's just not that great.

Was on a business dinner with colleagues. We had to wait for about an hour on a Monday night. We eventually got a table, ordered drinks, and calamari app. The calamari was cut from calamari steak. It was incredibly tender. I ordered ribeye steak, with mashed and a house salad. Salad was a poor mans Cobb salad but pretty good. Food came out after a few minutes. I was going to ask for steak sauce but once I tasted the steak, I didn't need anything. It was seasoned perfectly. Other ppl got sea bass, prime rib, and a fillet. Every was very pleased. Waitress was very attentive, and did a good job. I'd return to this place. 5 stars is perfect. Connors was close, but mashed pots serving was skimpy, and bread was so so. Still, worth a visit if your near Bridge Street in hsv.
(4)Sheila T.
Service was exceptional and very professional. Warm bread with olive oil and pesto was good. Meals come with 1 or 2 sides and they are happy to substitute for a side you prefer. Spinach strawberry salad with sweet vinaigrette was delicious. However, the special steak chili soup was so salty, I had to send it back. We enjoyed the prime rib and the 2 pork chops. For sides, we selected collard greens, cheese grits and asparagus. They are noted for their meats and lobster bisques. If you eat here, you can be assured of a wonderful meal at fair prices. The atmosphere is chic with lots of dark woods.
(4)Keith W.
Love the steaks here, I have found the lobster crab bisque and the shrimp & grits to be favorites of mine and excellent as well. The service is great, the bar is well stocked. Their web site is well designed, with a useful nutritional calculator.
(5)Justin D.
Food is excellent, service isn't bad for a large restaurant like this... but I review beer. I think the closing of Olde Towne Brewery in Huntsville has hurt Connor's beer menu. They used to carry almost everything Olde Towne had, usually on tap. I was really hoping for something exciting. Now, I could have ordered a Sierra Nevada Pale Ale in a bottle, and I think they had one or two other small brewery craft brews, but that was it. I wound up with a Yuengling on tap, which is fine for me, but I expected more. They have the room at the bar to add a couple of taps, and I think the Bridge Street shopping center would do well to have at least one of the Huntsville breweries on tap. Why they aren't supporting these breweries is beyond me. All in all, I love coming to Connor's to eat, but when it comes to getting a nice craft beer, especially one on tap, find somewhere else to go.
(3)Melissa V.
The service matched the quality, quite surprising!!!! The spinach salad with strawberries, walnuts and feta cheese had a dressing that had the favors exploding in my mouth. I ordered that with a piece of salmon on top. By the way, that wasn't even on the menu and they did it no problem. I am literally going there tomorrow for lunch and having it again. Make sure you save room for dessert, the strawberry short cake was a perfect treat to end the night. So good!!!!!!
(5)David W.
Possibly the best steak in Huntsville. Three for three our steaks were on temp and flavorful. The bisque was awesome too as were the drinks. On a previous visit we discovered that they have a great $9-12 lunch menu. The tuna burger (Tuna steak sandwich?) special was awesome though it might not always be there and we decided that we had to come back for the full dinner menu. Our waitress was sassy and played along with my drunk friends. The hosts are pretty short with you but the restaurant has a text message system instead of pagers so you can walk around the shopping area freely and get back when a table is ready. It is in a open air shopping center so don't expect to park 10 feet away and walk in.
(4)Jody S.
Its the last night of my trip to huntsville and we finished it out at Connors. Great area, great service and the best steak of the week. Very busy place so if you do go for dinner I would recommend making reservations. We were pretty lucky to get some seats in the bar. I would recommend this location to anyone in the area.
(5)Meredith P.
Connor's a great place for special occasions or a night out. It's a favorite in my family. The steaks are wonderful, and I especially recommend the boursin filet! I also love the lobster and crab bisque. The restaurant itself is very spacious, with lots of sectioned rooms and even a patio. Customer service is obviously very important to them, and the only time we ever had a complaint, the owner was very responsive and apologetic. My only complaint would probably be the "we strive to seat within 15-20 minutes of your reservation" thing. I feel like for a place with so much room, they could better plan for their reservations and not make you wait so long to be seated.
(4)Ashley W.
Dined at Connor's again last night to celebrate my birthday with my husband and in-laws. The only glitch we had was with being seated. Our reservations were for 6:15 and when we got there at 6:10, the hostess told us that they had a table for us but it needed to be cleaned off. After waiting much longer than clearing a table off, we were seated at 6:45. I know that sounds trivial, but don't tell me that you're about to seat us and then really do so 30 minutes later. Got the 6 oz. Connor's filet this time. Even though I asked for it to be cooked medium, it came out well done but what can you do? It wasn't overcooked and it was absolutely delicious so no complaints. Because my mother in law mentioned to our server that it was my birthday, they gave us free home made oreo ice cream that was amazing. It was a small cup, but that was more than okay after all the food we had just eaten.
(4)Stephanie J.
This place is fabulous. I've not had a bad experience with anything about this place for all the times I've been to it. The wait staff is knowledgable and friendly and the management is observant and on top of things. The food is wonderful and I just love this place for the overall experience and atmosphere. If you have a chance, go here and enjoy the filet (with or without the Boursin). The boyfriend says their crab(or is it lobster? sadly I can't remember) bisque is excellent and I have to agree! This makes for a wonderful date night place or special occasion. :)
(5)Quinn M.
I had the aged steaks and it was great. Last time I was here, I had the delmonico steak and that was amazing in flavor and texture. I like my steaks medium and it turned out good. The KC strip was good in flavor (bone-in) but it was a bit chewy at times. Probably because of the muscles or something in the steak. The homemade ice cream was good except for the fact that it came out partially melted. I expected it to be more solid.
(4)Elliot P.
Conners is one of those "big box store" restaurant chains, where the cavernous interior is partitioned into lots of smaller, more intimate seating areas to mute the reality of a giant kitchen factory slinging tons of red meat to the masses every night. But, never mind all that, and never mind you've gone to yet another anonymous shopping mall to eat -- the steaks are THAT GOOD! I had a center cut, dry aged ribeye that was blackened on the outside and perfectly medium rare on the inside, and just plain delicious the way that unadulterated beef can be. This was preceded by a Lobster and Crab Bisque soup that was divine, sopped up with fresh baked panini bread. Red meat lovers, this is the place for you in Huntsville. The wine list was rather uninspired, and we ended up ordering the Coppola "Claret," which, of course, is a Cabernet and not really a Claret at all. The wine list would appear to have been selected on the basis of "good enough" and "available by the truckload to keep in inventory." There were a couple of very expensive "ringers" on the list, but, mostly pedestrian. Never mind. You come for the cow and it is excellent, and the service is pretty Johnny-on-the-spot as well.

Decided to visit after hearing great reviews, nice looking place, wasn't too busy yet & we ate at the bar - somewhat attentive bartenders - ordered a shrimp cocktail to start & it was horrible! I sent it back immediately & quietly advised them to throw out the shrimp before someone got sick...old & very mealy! Hubby's steak was good, not fantastic, but good, so was my halibut, which I ordered medium-rare (always do with salmon & halibut, prevents dry fish)...salad & side was good & so was the dessert, can't remember what it was, not memorable at all...which pretty much sums up the entire meal...not memorable! Will we go back, probably...but with less expectations - we were a tad underwhelmed
(3)Phila E.
My local Huntsville Clients prefer this place, not me... Overpriced, taste ok. I get better steaks at half the price elsewhere. Typical service, nothing to write home about. Drinks are lousy.
(3)Jim R.
excellent... i am a fan... some of the best steaks i have had along with very good drinks.
(5)C. M. F.
We have been frequenting this establishment since our relocation to Huntsville in 2001. Overall rating should be between "A-OK" and "Yay! I'm a fan" Unfortunately "yelp" does not support this selection. The service and quality have always been good but as of late there has been some noticeable degradation. Tonight we arrived a few minutes late due to traffic (we informed them via cell) and were seated almost instantaneously. Nice touch. After waiting 5 minutes the waitress shows up and takes our drink order... ten minutes later she returns with half the order; another 5 minutes pass before the remaining order of drinks arrive. Ten more minutes pass and no bread, nothing... I hale down a manager and explain the situation. Ten minutes later the waitress returns to take our order. It was quite obvious that an insufficient amount of staff was on hand to properly service customers in a timely manner. Unfortunately most people would take it out on the server but we did not. I ordered the calamari as a starter and the lamb chops with mashed potatoes as my entre. Taste wise the chops were fabulous. Only issue was with the presentation... white plate with a blob of white mashed potatoes in the middle of the plate surrounded by the chops... A nice touch would have been some garnish on the side but what do I know... My wife and daughter ordered spaghetti as they have special diets. One is a Vegetarian and the other is a Vegan. Both of the spaghetti plates arrived loaded with cheese which my Vegan daughter does not eat. It had to be sent back and redone. Again not the waitress fault as she annotated our special request. The waitress did comp us a free desert at the end of our meal. Now I understand that there are people around the world starving and these inconveniences could be classified as trivial, but the Bottom Line here is; "If you're going to charge top dollar for food, please provide the customer top dollar service and get it right the first time, every time and in a timely manner." Would we go back? Not sure.

Great service. loved the upside down German chocolate cake. Mac and cheese good, wished for more. Caesar salad a tad lacking in dressing. Pork chop cutlets over done, a bit dry, and tough.

Let me first say that if this is haute cuisine in HSV, then I feel sorry for those that live there. My rating is an attempt to be generous, as my experience was more in line with 1-star. The extra star is driven by so many in the area thinking this warrants a higher rating. Maybe I set myself up for failure from the onset by ordering seafood in a "chophouse." Maybe I got what Connor's always gives. Regardless of who's at fault, the food placed in front of me was muscled down by pure hunger and not because it was cooked well. The jumbo shrimp cocktail was way overcooked and over chilled. The best description I can give is chewing nearly frozen rubber bands. At least the cocktail sauce was decent, but it needed a tad more horseradish. The "signature" parmesan crusted halibut was also completely overcooked. Evidentially, their cook missed the lesson that perfectly cooked fish should flake. I practically needed a steak knife to cut the fish. The only saving grace was that the rice pilaf and steamed broccoli were done well (probably by the sous chef). The service was ok. If the waiter had taken the time to ask me if the food was good, I probably would have informed him of the cook's misgivings. Since he never asked, I never offered my opinion. This likely comes as a shock to those who know me, as I tend to be very vocal at restaurants when I get bad food/service. Simply, I was scared to complain, as I assumed the replacement wouldn't be better. Good luck HSV...

Really good food and great atmosphere. It's good for taking my wife on an adults night out or business partner who's in from out of town. We've even had a birthday meal here with extended family and it worked out great. Recommend the steak (any of them).
(4)Daniel S.
I sat at the bar and had a great dinner. The seafood was fresh and very tasty. Service was very good and the lobster bisque was perfect.
(4)Lauren M.
We ate at this restaurant after attending a work conference nearby at The Westin Huntsville. All I can say is this restaurant was AWESOME. It was the BEST steak I had eaten in a while. In Hawaii, we have a lot of good Steak Houses, but this restaurant served up a perfect ribeye. It came exactly as I ordered it (medium) and it was soft on the inside and had a crisp to the outside. YUM! Even my house salad and baked potato were good! I thought the prices were reasonable, but maybe it's because everything in Hawaii is pricey. My ribeye, which came with 2 sides, was $22.00. That's not bad at all!
(5)Mia P.
This place is very classy and upscale. The food was expensive but well worth the money. The mixed drinks and service were amazing. We dined on the heated patio and it was a very romantic evening under the stars. The king crab shells were precut, which was very helpful. The steak was very tender and the waitress was very knowledgeable about the entire menu and cuts of beef. Hope to get to dine here again soon!
(5)MaLisa C.
The first time I ate at Connor's was not long after it had opened for a friend's birthday. I remember then, even though we had reservations we had to wait about 30 minutes before we were even seated. It took me a while to get back after my first visit (a while=2 years). This is due in part to the final price tag of that visit. ($70+ for one person was...a bit much). It kind of scarred me for life, although I've never been to Ruth's Chris and hear that's much worse. I will say the food tasted great, it was cooked and seasoned well, and my creme brulee was delicious. Must be good if I remember what I had, right? More recenlty, on the suggestion of my friend and co-worker we decided to go to Connor's at lunch time. I was very wary to say yes to this though. If the lunch menu had been my first foiree into this place it may not have taken me 2 years to come back. The prices at lunch are more than affordable for what you get. They have plenty of choices from the prices they offer at lunch from $9-$12 per entree. In the last month my friend and I have been here twice, and I'm happy to say I've conquered my fear of Connor's prices (at lunch anyway). The portions are more than enough to fill you up for the rest of the day and keep you slapping yourself awake as your stomach digests the food at your desk. You get complimentary bread, nothing too special about it, it's just a 1/2 loaf of artisan bread that you dip in their pepper & oil mixture. Something you've seen at lots of restaurants. I had the 7 oz. lunch sirloin both times for lunch and it's is definitely flavorful and tender. It comes with a loaded baked potato under the $10 section. I add a side of macaroni and cheese to my order and my bill was still only $13! Of course, if you're going to add a salad and dessert you'll be paying closer to $25, but that's still not bad for what you get. The service was fast and every time I've been the waiters have been very helpful and knowledgable. You can tell they take the time to make sure the waiters know the specials and tastes of the food. I like the style of Connor's interior but their floorplan is really not all that great, the walking areas can get congested especially around that bar! My advice if you don't want to scare yourself away, save dinner here for a special occasion or just order an entree. Don't veer from the path! Or you can go at lunch and get a taste of what they have and not worry about your bank account. If you go at lunch make sure to get there early, otherwise you'll be waiting a while for both Bridge Street parking and getting in here. They're definitely packed for dinner on the weekends and I'd tell you to get a reservation but Bridge Street restaruant reservations and I have had a battle..Trying never hurt.

Having food allergies I'm always a bit wary of dining in new (sometimes remote) cities. I had a great experience at this place. My waitress was wonderful and fully understood my allergy. They had a large selection of items. And a very tasty pomegranate martini!!! Will definitely return if I'm ever back in the area.

As is becoming my wont, the only thing preventing a fifth star must come first: reservations over reservations. The first time we went, we just walked in and were seated fairly quickly. The steak is delicious! For the portion, price, and service, I say this is far and away better than Ruth's Chris! I'm not sure what the one detractor meant about the service and food being subpar, nor about it being snobby, but I do understand the others who commented on the reservations. We showed up two minutes late for a reservation one time and our table had been given away five minutes prior. Go figure. Later, on a company reservation, we had to wait an absurd amount of time and ask the hostess multiple times about the status. I understand a "reservation" at a crowded restaurant can only guarantee a range, but a party of 10 should have a bit more pull than parties of two. That being said, when it comes to the best value for the best steak in town, this is it. The ribeye is always aged and prepared perfectly, the appetizers are good, the soups have won me over to the world of soup, and the cheese cake for dessert is great if you have the room left over. Be ready to have a wait, but once you sit down the staff is almost always helpful and the food has always been good.

My first time at Conner's (several years ago) was pretty rocky. I got the surf and turf and it really missed the mark (the steak was overdone and the lobster was lacking flavor). However, they really stepped things up and now it's one of my favorite steakhouses. The steak is always cooked correctly now and the flavor is amazing. The atmosphere is very cool and laid back, the service is good, and the bartenders rock (yummy drinks every time). The place is a little pricey so we don't go often, but it's perfect if we're in the mood for a fancy date night.

I expected this place to be good, but wow, much better than expected! We ordered the calamari. Most restaurants serve breaded and rubbery rings of squid with plain marinara. We received a bowl of large chunks of deliciously seasoned and breaded calamari, served with a tangy dipping sauce and cocktail sauce. The black pepper really brought out the flavor of the squid and the breading. I ordered the sirloin because it's my favorite cut--but it's rarely cooked correctly. It was cooked to PERFECTION! The seasonings were very different; it tasted almost aged (this is a good thing) and the meat was very tender and full of juices. The staff was extremely prepared and knowledgeable on the menu. We felt very welcomed and the atmosphere was amazing. Not once did we think the menu items were not worth the price. For two people, two large beers, an appetizer and two steak dinners, the total was about $75. That's very reasonable. This is our new favorite place and we will definitely go again!

Great steak place!! Great service and they actually know how to cook a steak. The boursin filet is my favorit.

Great steaks and seafood. Good wine list. Excellent service. Booths are tight, at least the last one in the back is.

This place is NOT that great. The draft beer was good but the Philly cheese steak I got had no taste to it. The bartenders were great but the cost of the food was NOT worth it. We will not be going back...

Had a great dinner here. The crab cakes were wonderful as was the Filet. Also, they have a Lobster dip that is worth a try. This place is located in the middle of a nice outdoor shopping district. I'm only marking off one star because we ordered beers at the bar before dinner while waiting for our table and my friends glass had a fairly large piece of broken glass stuck to the side of it (probably frozen there). It also had a chipped lip. Normally, I wouldn't really care that much but it was something that you shouldn't have happen. Overall, wonderful dining experience, friendly staff, very attentive, excellent food quality. So, minus the chip on the glass, I'd say, A+.

My husband and I dine here every time we get a chance. The Lobster Bisque is the best in town (and I'm pretty sure I've tried almost all of them), and their steaks are consistently fantastic. I absolutely love the Bananas Foster dessert and order it every visit. Service has always been great. I really can't find anything to complain about, which makes me happy!!!

Be warn of long lines and their ridiculous "20 minutes" cushion with your reservation. If you reserve for 6 pm, they have 20 mins cushion so don't have to site you until 6:20... With that being said, I do like their lunch menu. It's reasonable (dinner is way to overpriced) with lots of options and decent portion size. They're pretty quick once you're seated. The service is good with tentative watiers/waitresses. Overall, recommended for lunch.

This was the best place I ate at in Huntsville! I'm not really a steak fan at all so I was weary about going in here but they have so many great options. I went with a group of women from a training while I was in town. I ordered the lime grilled shrimp. It was delicious! I got grilled asparagus and mashed potatoes with it. The asparagus was probably my favorite part of the meal but everything was great. Our group had appetizers of fired green tomatoes - HIGHLY recommend. We also split some shrimp and grits, very yummy! Everyone I was with loved their meals. We all said that this was the best meal we had had all week!

I have dined here for lunch twice recently. The first time on a weekend there was no problem with seating. The second time I arrived here on a weekday at 11:15am and got one of the last tables available inside! The food and service were both really good. Nice atmosphere too. Only complaint was my husband ordered the crab cake and it was really small in portion size. He said he would not order it again. I ordered steak both times and it was very good...Do plan to go again.

Fortunately for me, I went on a good night. The ambiance was very dim and cabin-type warm feeling. Although we made a reservation, we had to wait a longer time than expected. Our host finally buzzed our vibrator, of course after we asked how the table was. Main reason might be because the original reservation was for Table for 7 at 7, but was really Table for 3 at 7. On to the table we went. We started off with the Crab Cakes and some type of Shrimp, which I didn't eat. The crab cakes were not baked with a breaded outside, which made the dish a first for me. The crab was caked within itself and is a great sized appetizer. I would probably order it again. My main entree was Connor's Steak made Medium with a side of mashed potates and gray-bee, and a caesar salad. Wow, the steak was juicy and delicious throughout the whole meal. Even when the meat got below room temperature, the taste and feel didn't go away. Yum. No dessert was ordered because I just couldn't eat anymore. I have no issues with this place, it's just they kept us waiting for our reserved table. Shoot that star! -pew-

The atmosphere and service were fine, but for the price I felt like the food was only average. I don't order sea bass often - mine seemed to be prepared well, but the portion was skimpy - for $28 I would have expected something double the size, and there certainly would have been room on the plate for it. Fortunately I was in a shopping area that had a Maggie Moo on the way as I walked out to my car, so hunger was finally satisfied. One final note - it seemed we were rushed just the slightest, possibly because we ordered neither appetizers nor a bottle of wine - just a drink each and dinner.

Love the food here, but the crowd during lunch isn't fun. Guess that is a good problem for Connor's though. Potato soup and the filet are awesome. Also the Tilapia and Rice dish (can't remember the name) is highly recommended.
