Just had dinner no it is not five star cuisine but a good value. Mike on the grill did an excellent job on my steak and even came by the table to check out if it was cooked the way I had requested.

The Ryan's in Gardendale, AL has been better lately but there is still a problem with food being at the right temperature. My family and I had breakfast there on Saturday, November 22 and found that the pancakes and french toast were almost cold. We were there at 8am. We have had that problem before so it might be the equipment needs to be looked at. Hot food should be hot and cold foods should be cold. The staff seems to be friendlier and more efficient. The restaurant was a lot cleaner than it had been. We are planning to go back for Thanksgiving dinner.

It's dirty and the food is worse quality than the usual sub par buffet food. I'm not a fan of buffets but if you really want to try one go to the Ryan's in Cullman.

It's a buffet. Standard American Diet fare. The choices are broad within that category, but the food (unless snagged immediately following a refill) all gravitates quickly toward an indistinguishable lukewarm. The salad bar is decent, and does have separate lettuce and spinach bowls, which can be a perk for some. Even the desserts were ho-hum, fashioned more for a need of quantity over quality. Prices were also a bit disappointing--nearly $25 for two adults with waters, after tax and before tipping. We could (and did) spend a comparable amount at Outback for a much tastier, more quality dinner for two.
