Everyone seems to have their own thing that they love to get at Flipside! For me it's the Reuben, I don't know why anyone would ever get anything there! It's the best $5 Reuben you'll ever have. The sweet potato fries and the coffees are excellent as well. My favorite thing about Flipside is the people who work there - I don't know any of them - but everyone is so so so nice and personable you get that weird feeling that they must know you from somewhere and you've just forgotten. After a while you realize that everyone there is just that nice! More often than not I wind up having the most delightful conversation with the person taking my order. Once going through the drive thru my whole car was in fits, laughing hysterically at the amazingly hilarious back and forth that was happening with myself and the drive thru attendant. It was an almost sublime exchange that certainly would never happen at a chain restaurant where employees check their personality at the door. If this place has a onboarding program or training seminar I wish everyone everywhere would use it!

Just passing through Gadsden on a cross-country trip and chose Flip Side based on Yelp reviews. We weren't disappointed. We both had coffee and the breakfast wrap and both were delicious not to mention that the wrap was generous enough for the two of us to have split. Good food, good service, comfortable atmosphere and affordable prices. Who needs more?

In Gadsden having a look around as I may be relocating here and found this place. It's right across the street from my hotel. There were mixed reviews on Yelp, but I found it really good. The guy working behind the counter helped me select a turkey club and sweet potato fries.. they were both yummy. He also took the time to tell me about some of the neighborhoods, ones to avoid and such. Super nice staff.

This place is like similar to a Panera, Atlanta Bread Company, Crispers, ext but I think it's locally owned and one of a kind. The food is nice and fresh and people working there were really nice. If you are in the area stop by and check them out!

Flip Side seems like a chain blah type of place, but they are totally a small town feel, all the way down to the owner's license plate. Two things I love here-- the breakfast sandwiches (croissants are to die for) and the tater tots. Even if you're too full for the whole combo, you've gotta try at least one! The coffee drinks are a little sweet, but I'm sure you can request less flavoring. Definitely where I go for a quick breakfast though (they're obviously successful if I pass up the chick fil a next door!!!)

I've never had a bad drink from here. I haven't had their food, so I can't comment on that. If you're looking for good coffee, this is the best place in Gadsden!

I believe this is hands down one of the best & most original places to go in Gadsden. Gadsden & surrounding areas are in much need of many more original places such as this. My favorites are the Turkey Club & Sweet Potato fries. Tonight, they had Sweet Potato Waffle Fries... they were so so good! I have never had sweet potato waffle fries but they certainly beat even Chick fil A's regular waffle fries by a long shot... & that's coming from someone who loves Chick fil A as well. I think it's super great that they have a drive thru. The young employees are always very nice & polite. Nowww, a little birdy has told me that the employees are not scheduled well & are always scheduled last minute, etc. Thattt I cannot agree with doing bcus they will get run down if that is so & that is not very considerate management in my opinion. Also, I tried connecting to the Wifi & it was asking me for a password... whattt? Since when? I mean okkk... buttt... I kind of think this should be open for paying customers who dig this joint such as myselfie ha

Very disappointed in my experience flip side. I love a good coffee shop and had seen many posts about this place. As I was driving by their large sign advertising a turtle mocha, I was pulled in thinking that sounds delish I think I will. As I walked in their only customer was leaving. I went to the register and ordered the turtle mocha. I was told they could not sell the turtle mocha until the following Monday. The barista asked the manager if she could make one for me since I was from out of town and stopped in due to the advertisement and the request was denied. They wanted this coffee drink to be a big deal. I wish I would have ordered the turtle nut mocha that was also advertised and just asked them to hold the "nut" flavor. I guess I will never know if the turtle mocha made it to "big deal" status. I hope for their sake there were customers waiting around the parking lot on that following Monday waiting for that turtle mocha. I do not live in the area, but do travel through Gadsden quite often and needless to say I do not think I will be returning to the Flip side cafe.

My go-to place for lunch in Gadsden. Fresh, high quality ingredients with multiple vegetarian options. Good high-end casual menu. Friendly and fast service. Pleasant, casual atmosphere.

Girlfriend and I stopped by here late on a weekend night, about a half hour before they were to close. There wasn't anyone to be seen behind the counter and I think we scared them a little when they realized we were there. They had been busy cleaning up and getting ready to close. I had never been here before, but Girlfriend had, so she was pretty familiar with their menu. I wasn't feeling too adventurous, so we both ordered FlipSide Mochas. The cashier took our order and our money and after I was handed a receipt, she left to go make our drinks. I wasn't quite sure if I was supposed to stand and wait, or go sit down. So, we chose to go sit down. Finally after several minutes, I heard the cashier calling for us... our drinks were ready. My mocha was pretty good, certainly better than the stuff you can get at the usual national chain that charges big BUCKS. The pricing at FlipSide was about on par with what I'm used to paying The staff let us sit and finish our drinks and talk until just before they were ready to leave... so it was nice that they didn't throw us out right when they locked the doors... . According to the website, this place used to be a Taco Bell.... now that I've read that, I can kind of see it, but when I was there, I couldn't really tell. They did a really nice job remodeling it into a pleasant little coffee house. I didn't try any of the food, because we were already stuffed from dinner earlier, but I certainly enjoyed my coffee and would come back again.

This is a locally owned and operated joint. I never mind giving a local place a go, and especially when they are doing things right like this one. The food was so inexpensive, I was concerned whether the portions would be enough to satisfy. They are. The wraps are substantial! The food was fresh and served up fast by friendly folks. I'm no coffee connoisseur, so I won't attempt to rate it, but the iced coffee I had worked for me. I've been back since my initial visit and look forward to returning when I'm in the area.

We had breakfast wrap and coffee. All in all not a bad place to grab breakfast. They do have a drive thru for those who are in a hurry. Very family friendly!

I really like their coffee, but something a bit more personal would be nice.
