Good burgers! Great fries! Could've done without the flies!

Fun, casual atmosphere and good food, Santa Fe has become THE place to eat on special occasions in Fort Payne. One of those places where you can throw the peanut shells right on the floor. The yeast rolls are awesome

Well 3 years later I'm back, and the food is still excellent. Had the small sirloin this trip rather than the cheeseburger. It was cooked just the way I ordered with no problems. Jordan did a great job of making sure we never wanted for anything while we enjoyed our meal--attentive with hanging all over us. I'd like to know how they get all that salt to sick to the outside of the baked potato. It was a really tasty baked potato, substitute it for your fries next time your there.

Just happened in on a Sunday night....it was crowded, so I sat at the bar....very good choice...as I was waited on promptly...Ordered the 12oz ribeye with salad and baked potato....everything was very good. Steak was cooked perfect...and was good quality.

Roadhouse steakhouse complete with a bucket of peanuts delivered to your table. The kids will enjoy making adding to the mess of peanut shells littering the floor. I suggest asking for a booth. They are elevated and you won't have your feet in shells the entire time. Country music plays at a comfortable level inside. Table conversations are enjoyable. My server was Sarah. She wasn't overly friendly but she wasn't "short" or irritated as many servers tend to be at the end if the night. I ordered grilled salmon with a salad, baked sweet potato and unsweet tea (which I didn't like and had to have my sever cut it with half sweet). Hot yeast rolls are promptly delivered to the table with a small dish of cinnamon butter. They are really good. My salad was watery. This happens when lettuce is cleaned but not dried before chopping and preparing the salad. As a result all elements on the salad were wet. Disappointing. My main course arrived and was piping hot as it should be. Baked potato was obviously baked all day but it was soft and with the cinnamon on top along with the leftover cinnamon whipped butter from the rolls it was delicious. The salmon was surprisingly good. Moist, savory, and flaky. It's a crap shoot with fish at a steakhouse, says my husband. I'm not a betting kind of girl but I will roll the dice when it comes to fish. Dessert menu was delivered with meal ticket. Odd but since I don't eat dessert, I really didn't mind. However, I expect dirty plates to be removed as I finish or at a minimum at the end of the meal when dropping off my payment receipt. Grabbed a tea to go with a full belly. I won't come back because I'm not a chain restaurant girl but at almost 9pm in a Sunday night, it was satisfying.

Ate here once while on our way to Camp skyline, long wait, peanuts everywhere, food average. Service friendly.

I'm a lover of the Roadhouse-style restaurants (Cody's, Texas Roadhouse, Logan's, etc), so I'm therefore a lover of Santa Fe Cattle Company. The nearest one to me is in Clermont, but I have yet to visit that one; if I ever do, I'll let you know how it was. But the one I always go to is in Fort Payne, Alabama, when I am on my yearly to twice-yearly road trips up there. I always stay at the Holiday Inn Express in that town (see my review for that one). Right across the street is Santa Fe, so I eat dinner there once per trip. I love their steaks, their yeast rolls, and I quite like their mixed drinks. This is one of those "peanuts on the floor" establishments, so eat up on the peanuts, but don't eat too much, because the rolls are so good, you'll most likely fill up on them before you get your meal. The burgers are perfect there! They also have numerous salads and chicken dishes and fajitas, but I'm a steak lover, so I usually get the ribeye. The seasonings on the steaks are perfect, and they have always been cooked exactly how I want them. Santa Fe has a number of signature drinks--mostly their own spin on the old standbys like margaritas and Long Island Iced Teas--but they are still pretty good. I've always has great service there, particularly the last visit for me, which was just a couple of weeks ago in the late evening. I don't exactly remember the server's name--I think it was Kayla but I could be wrong--but she was a sweetheart, very personable and cheerful. My food and drinks were brought to me in a timely manner, and the prices are about the same as any other roadhouse-type restaurant. So I recommend the Ft. Payne Santa Fe Cattle Company. Yum, yum!

First time at this chain. We were pleasantly surprised. I had the sliders and the meat had a good flavor and was juicy. The waitress was very friendly. Overall great experience. Hope to stop by again while traveling thru.

Steak house with peanut shells on the floor. Really good food and the prices are decent.

Food was good. Waitress eager to please, BUT the kitchen is slooooow. I ended up eating way too many peanuts, almost a snowdrift of shells.

Very pleasantly surprised!! My wife and I don't usually have good luck with chain roadhouses but this one gave us hope for our next interstate travel plans. We both had the 7oz filet and it was cooked medium rare spot on. The waitress was genuine & pleasant and she kept the rolls & peanuts stocked. One single complaint.., the loaded baked potato's skin was covered in salt as if was a carnival pretzel. It affected the flavor of everything else on the plate including the filet (which was a shame because the filet was quite tasty). We would stop here again but if I do I'll be asking for an unsalted potato next time.

Only great things to say about this restaurant! My family ordered the appetizer sampler and everything was incredible, especially the boneless chicken wings. The waitress was very attentive and personable and kept our drinks full. My steak was beautiful. I ordered the filet, rare, with rice and something else I can't remember. It was cooked perfectly, seasoned well, and the rice was delicious. I was very impressed with this place!

I've got a weakness for Roadhouse restaurants with peanut shells all over the floors and huge cocktails in mason jars. There's just something so unashamedly, touristy, American about them. This one is no exception, or if anything, it's one of the better ones I've visited. My lovely waitress (Elisha?) was so bubbly, friendly, and attentive! She made a great recommendation for some kind of huge cocktail that tasted like an orange creamsicle. Awesome! For lunch I got a sweet potato, chicken fried steak, and a side salad. The salad was unremarkable, but the chicken fried steak and sweet potato were wonderful! My only complaint was that they were strangely small. I've never seen such a small CFS or sweet potato in my life... how weird... I expected this place to serve gigantic portions. Still, I don't usually eat large meals, and I left completely stuffed after all that, the cocktail, and the basket of bread with cinnamon butter, so no real complaints. Good for lunch, and it was a memorable experience. My first time ever in Alabama, and this is the only place I visited. Glad I did!

We ate at this Santé Fe on the evening of June 22, 2013. Upon arriving the place was pretty dead for it to be that time of the day. We were instantly seated close to the door and soon after our orders were placed. We ended up ordering the queso/salsa/guacamole dip trio as an appetizer and for the main course I ordered the 12 oz Lynchburg steak with seasoned fries and the Santé Fe rice. The guacamole was blended into an almost watery paste; the queso tasted like cheese whiz with meat added and the salsa was watery. As for the steak it was odd, I ordered it medium-well and due to its thickness and thinness on one side, the steak was medium-medium rare on the thick side, and well done on the thin side, again it was an odd steak, but I'm not going to complain too much. It did lack overall flavor though as compared to other "Lynchburg" steaks that I've had elsewhere. The fries were decent and the rice tasted like some kind of box styled rice like you would buy at wal-mart. I wasn't too pleased with the rice and didn't eat it since it wasn't very good. The waitress was very nice and checked on us quiet often, our drinks were refilled etc etc.. We did try to order the dirt pie dessert after we had finished eating, but they were out of them at the time. I remember when Santé Fe from my hometown served good food, and then began serving bad.. only to close down eventually, I hope this restaurant isn't on the same path. Good-luck guys!

IGNORE google maps and Apple maps or you will end up in the hood!!! Exit 218 off of Hwy 59 Great food. Good ol Steak and Baked Potato. Perfect medium rare. Good service. Be warned. If you want a drink on a Sunday night you won't get one. Bible Belt rules.

Great food! I love their salad, baked sweet potato, and the rolls are amazing! My son loves the fact that he can throw peanut shells on the floor. They also did a good job accommodating my handicapped brother.
