the best mexican restaurant in the shoals, hands down!!! it's local and the other location is in huntsville. they have both yellow and white cheese dip. they make their own flour tortillas which makes a big difference. great bar also.

I think they have some good food. I tend to get chicken instead of beef tacos which is weird because I always get beef at other places. I would definitely try to get both types of cheese dips to see which you like better. The atmosphere is nice, but have had a few strange waiters there.

Pretty good for Alabama, but I've had better Mexican....this rates about the same as their Huntsville location....kinda pricey when you consider how cheap the ingredients are for Mexican food.

OK, let's be real. Rosie's is NOT authentic Mexican food. But... Who cares? It's tasty, it's a pretty(ish) place. And really, when you go, there is an actual opportunity to have a conversation. Whenever I get to town to see my mom, I try to take her here in the late afternoon, between rushes, so we can relax and chat. The food is always adequate, sometimes even better. The Margaritas seem a bit lite, if you get my meaning... But, I've yet to have a bad experience here, oh, and the salsa is good. (oddly difficult to find sometimes). Our waitress was nice and very accommodating to my moms special diet. Rosie's is just an overall good experience. A good option to the regular Tex/American/Mexican that seems to be basically everywhere else throughout Florence. It costs a little more, but if your looking for a nice Mexican joint, try it out. I'll be back. Oh, btw Rosie - crank up those ritas and I'll come back even more!

The best Mexican in Florence since El Toro closed their doors, for what that's worth... Not bad if you're craving tacos in North Central Alabama...

Excellent Mexican restaurant with great selection, amazing quality and generous proportions. Very good prices with friendly and efficient service. Good selection of beers and very good margarita's. Every time we're in this neck of the woods we make the 50 minute drive to Rosie's...that should tell you how good we think this place is :-)

Easily my favorite Mexican restaurant in the Shoals or anywhere else I've lived. The tortillas are wonderful as is the salsa and the atmosphere is pretty good as well. It's not very fancy, but I'm usually not looking for a lot of ambiance with my Tex-Mex anyways.

Atmosphere is fun and the staff is great but.... average to below-average mexican food at above-average prices. Margaritas on the rocks were pre-mixed w/ the tequila.

My wife and I have eaten at all the Rosie's locations and have never had a bad experience. The food is consistent and delicious. The salsa is fresh and perfect every time. Gourmet style Mexican in a very friendly warm environment for couples and families alike. My personal standard of upscale Mexican. You'll be back no doubt.

Started with excellent margarita and chips and salsa ended with free ice cream. Had wonderful shrimp burrito in the middle. The Guacamole sauce on the burrito was incredible and the shrimp were done to perfection. Great service (Jonathan K) five stars all the way.

Just had to walk out after 40 people were seated before my family. Then a party of 10. Manager simply said that it was an honest mistake even though we stood there the whole time. Never had to walk out of restaurant before. Poor intro service. Food may have been great.

Decent Mexican and decent prices. Food was okay - sizable portions and tasted pretty good. Would have given four stars except was given dirty water glasses at beginning but otherwise service was good.

Love love love Rosie's. There cheese dip is always so creamy and you can get it with beef which is awesome. The meats are full of flavor and their menu has plenty of great options. I typically don't hit chain restaurants but this place rocks.

Ordered carryout food was pretty good and for the price portions were reasonable. One thing I didn't like is that when I came in I tried to ask 2 waitresses where to go to pickup my order and they ignored me! Super RUDE! But all other employees I encountered were SUPER nice even carried my food to the car for me!

First plus is that they have parking reserved for their customers, if you've ever patronized other establishments in the area you'll understand why that's a big deal. Second plus is that the staff was super friendly from the moment I walked in the door. I wasn't seated long before a waiter came to explain that my waitress would be just a minute but he could go ahead and take my order. My waitress was very enthusiastic about her job and incredibly nice. Third plus is my food was very good. I ordered a Mahi Mahi taco from the lunch menu which is described as: one warm flour tortilla filled with seasoned & grilled Mahi-Mahi fillet. Mexican slaw, zesty tartar sauce & marinated onions on the side. Served with cilantro rice & black bean soup. All for $8.99. The Mahi Mahi was perfectly cooked and had a lovely grill flavor. The Mexican slaw was delicious and went nicely atop the taco with the marinated onions and zesty tartar sauce. I even ate the yummy sauce with my soup and rice. The black bean soup was great with a little smokiness. Chips and salsa were good too, salsa a little spicy, and my waitress willingly brought me a to go cup and bag so they wouldn't go to waste. PLUS the free ice cream post meal was the sure way to my heart. Kudos Rosie's, kudos.

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
