i have to laugh out loud at some of the reviews here. blue coast is awesome! how could you saw taco bell is just as good? two words, NO WAY! i go to blue coast at least once a week and have been as many times as three times in a week. you only have to pay extra for three toppings, guac, mushrooms and mixed veggies. everything else is free to add. i can order the taco basket with three tacos and it will keep me full the rest of the day. no way would three tacos at taco bell would hold me that long. do yourself a favor and try it.

Great dinner tonight. The service was good and the food was excellent as always. The guac is amazing.

Stopped in for lunch today, ordered a 12 inch Burrito with spicy chicken for the meat. Tasted good, fresh ingredients, I left satisfied. Would certainly drop in again if I was in the area and had a hankering for a super-sized burrito.

It's basically a Moe's or like others have said a Mexican Subway. They don't have quite as many toppings as Moe's but do have better meat options like spicy chicken and pork. I got the 3 taco basket with a Baja fish, LaTinga (spicy chicken), and steak. FYI the fish tacos take longer so order it first so they can go ahead and start making it. I'm pretty sure it's because the fish is dropped into the fryer when you order it. I'm not a huge fan of fried fish but the fish in this taco had a really lovely, crispy crust. Because John's review said his was soggy I ate this one as soon as it came out. It did need some salsa because it was otherwise pretty bland for a "taco" in my opinion. Just like at Moe's I found the beans made the other tacos runny. That always bugs me because I don't like soggy shells. The LaTinga was good. Steak kind of tasted like roast beef. Salsa bar had 4 different varieties: a "spicy", a mild, a sweet, and a verde. I didn't think any of them had an outstanding taste...how picky does that make me sound? Again, like Moe's, the prices are high. You pay extra to get chips to eat with the salsa bar. The option to have something fresh and healthy is probably great for those in this area. But considering I'm not on this side of Florence too often I probably won't go out of my way to come back.

We ate at Bluecoast after church a few weeks ago and we're not impressed. The meats were bland and everything is out of a can just heated up. This restaurant will NOT survive the shoals!

This place is fantastic! They have a subway style burrito setup. You can get tacos, large and small burritos, or a bowl. They have chips and salsa, cheese dip, and great guacamole. They serve the usual soft drinks, and even beer! The food was great, and my burrito ended up being MASSIVE! They have a really neat atmosphere, too. I'll be back soon!!

I recommend everything but their soup. Their soup is watery. But their quesadillas are AMAZING! Their salsa is amazing too! 6+ flavors and they're all awesome! My favorite I'd the chicken cheese quesadilla is my favorite and I like the pineapple salsa!

Me and boy Joel ate there one night. It was like a subway Mexico restaurant. It was good and they had a salsa bar but I don't think it was better than taco bell but it was a little higher. 3 three burritos 2 cokes? 2 Chips $28.00. But it was good!

Every time we have eaten there, we have been nothing but pleased. Fish tacos are fabulous, as is the Cabo Bowl (ask for some of the sauce they put on the fish tacos to be put on your bowl). The salsa bar is always fresh and tasty...try the pineapple salsa....so good. If you are going to get the full experience, try the fruit tea. This is a great addition to Florence!

OMG!!! This is a must try. Everything is made fresh. There is a place we use to frequent in California called "Baja Fresh" I wrote them an e-mail asking them to come to the Shoals as we didn't have anything here like the fare they served. Well Blue Coast Burrito has taken the Baja Fresh concept to a whole different level. Great staff, great food, please give it a try. I will take a photo of the restaurant next time we are there.

I was disappointed. Service was poor. I ordered the Baja fish tacos and had to wait 25 minutes for them and had to remind them twice I had ordered them. What I got was 3 soggy fish sticks on a flour tortilla. Got sweet tea and the only sugar that tea had seen was the kiss the server blew at it. Will NOT be back.

I've eaten here about 4 times. Food is good but expensive for what it is. I don't like the fact they want to charge you extra for everything. Not a deal buster but will eat here less because of the expense. Can get a fajita and a taco salad at a Mexican Restaurant for same price.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
