The worst chinese food i've ever ordered. The orange chicken, kung pao, and fried rice was disgusting. It all tasted fishy like it was cooked in a pan that had fish before it. The chicken was overcooked and dry as well as tasted bad. The fried rice was burnt and disgusting as well.

How is this poorly maintained restaurant still open? The ceiling looks as if its about to collapse on you wherever you sit. Duct tape on the bench seating and its quite a dirty place. Bad lighting and a nervous or angry lady seems to run the place. There was only one other couple eating and a very small family waiting on to go food when we got there. They waited for a very long time, which was about half the time my daughter and I spent there-(hour and a half). I heard the angry lady who runs the place say it was a crazy night there and acted as if it was. The waitress was good and polite. We had to ask for utensils and napkins. There are none on any of the tables. I feel like the place isn't used to people dining in and it was oddly uncomfortable being there. My daughter ordered sweet tea but it came out unsweet, so she got a sprite instead. The food was ok, had the puu puu platter for an appetizer and it was all freshly made. The hot tea was excellent although it took over thirty minutes to finally get it because their hot water maker was broken or something, the waitress said. I had the Happy Family with steamed rice, which is all served in their own bowl and plate. There was no extra plate to put the food on. The taste was ok, too much salt, garlic, and a bit oily. My daughter's bowl of fried rice came out several minutes before her sesame chicken made it to the table so she was eating my food. Her sesame chicken was brought out by a lady that seemed to be working in the kitchen only. It looked great, was a bit too hot (temperature) when my daughter tried it so she waited a bit. Her chicken was way too sweet, not sure if it was just a lot of honey or extra sugar made into the sauce. When it was time to go, the nervous angry lady seemed to want us to hurry and pay. She never smiled and even had a look as if we were just a bother. I'm definitely never going back, and it is a shame to say how disappointing this long time Chinese restaurant of 30 years has gone downhill since I first ate there at 10 years old.

Decided to try this place out because I've been craving Chinese food. Well it was a major disappointment. I should of adhered to the other reviews and stayed away. I ordered the Kung Pao chicken. I don't know what kind of sauce they used. It did not taste like the Kung Pao chicken I know and love. The chicken was rubbery and the peanuts tasted stale. The steamed rice tastes like it was minute rice. Suffice to say, I will not be dining here again.

In my opinion this place is probably the best Chinese food in Enterprise AL. The building is not the best but, they do deliver. It is more expensive than any other place in the area but you get what you pay for. General Tso chicken was different than what I've had in the past and it was also the best I've ever had! Lo mein was great too.

Food is not to bad, restaurant is in need of some work but that doesn't bother me either. What really bothered me was the fact that on a pick-up order they forgot to charge 4$ for the side dish I ordered. They called me an hour later asking if they can recharge my credit card for the 4$?? I found this a bit unprofessional for a business to call and ask for 4$ from a customer on something they missed over an hour ago. What if I had paid with cash? My receipt was not even itemized so I didn't even know if they were correct in saying I owed that money. They have really gone down hill from what I remember them being in the past. I would not recommend for a family dinner. As for lunch, it would do. Make sure you pay cash so they can't beg for money later.

Wow, we thought it was horrible! I've never seen a grease pool in the bottom of my takeout container from Chinese food until We ordered from there. It's the first time my boyfriend and I ordered from ANY Chinese restaurant and had no leftovers because the portions were so small. We ordered 3 entrees including a chef specialty entree for almost 12 dollars and it had 2 shrimp, little bit of beef and chicken and lots of the cheap veges. Will not go back. The sweet and sour sauce was watered down and tasteless had to get jar kind out the fridge. Very very bad! And the only reason we went was based on the previous reviews......... Makes Me wonder who is writing them....just sayin

This is the best Chinese food I've had. I don't like greasy food and I stopped eating Chinese food awhile ago because it was so hard not to find it without grease... but gave this place a whirl on a whim. It was really good! Even the egg rolls weren't greasy and tasted fresh. I liked the crab cream cheese wontons, they actually had enough filling to taste it. I had the General Tso chicken and it had a light almost honey based sauce. It was very light and pleasing, and there was more chicken than breading which is also a rarity with Chinese food. Nothing tasted fake or frozen. Reasonable prices and portions. My only complaint was that delivery took a really long time.

Best I've ever had in my life. Traveled the world (literally) and have never had better. Sauces, meats, and veggies are ALL top cut quality-never fatty or "unfresh." Try it out at least once. Buffet is "eh". Take-out is the best way to experience them. They make happy in your mouth, in the good way. I recommend their kung pao _______. That's right, any k.p. is good here. The secret is that they cook mandarin style instead of cantonese. The VAST majority of places do cantonese style, so if you'd like to find what you've been missing....

Their food is alright, considering I'm here for AIT there's only a few selections to eat when it comes to deliver. The first time we ordered it was about an hour wait, the second time just tasted bland. But the driver a female is always nice and I know she probably had a lot of order. The female over the phone would be rude at times. But I don't think I'll order from there again.

Recently PCS'd here and ordered delivery our first night here because it was one of the few delivery places that came on Rucker and after moving boxes all night we didn't want to drive anywhere. THEY HAVE THE BEST CRAB WONTONS EVER! The fried rice wasn't the best ever but we ordered a pupu platter and it was all very good. The delivery wasn't the fastest our first in night but it has been unusually fast ever since. Its a 15ish minute drive to enterprise and they showed up in about 25 minutes after we order this time around. I'm not typically someone who would write a food review, but this place is spot on with their food. I've only ever ordered delivery, not sure what a sit in experience would be like.

Went on a Sunday at lunch and there was one other table but it took 20 minutes just to get the only employee in the place to take our order. She told us "It will be a while." As others have said this place is dreary and the ceiling is falling in. Food was average and certainly not worth the long wait. Never again.

Went here for lunch today. The place is dreary, and it has a weird vibe to it. But I'll look past things like that if the food is great. But I'm sad to say the food was horrid. We did the buffet since we got there right around 11 when they opened so we figured it'd be just as fresh as the ordered things. I'm not sure if they are using safe temperatures on the buffet table, since everything was luke warm already. They later brought out lo mein which was actually delicious. But it was in a bowl in the heater pan, so I couldn't help but touch the heater pan and see if it was hot, low and behold, it was just lightly warm. That equals food Bourne illness. So, I give it a two because the servers were nice and the lo mein was good and the price was absurdly cheap. The only way if eat there again would be if I was homeless and had a hankering for lo mein.

I've got to say I was pleasantly surprised with this place. I'm a bit picky when it comes to Chinese food, even American-Chinese food. Let me tell you, this place was GREAT! It compares to places back in Boston. Their service was also excellent! I ordered delivery and although they said they weren't doing deliveries at that hour, they would still run it by. I had been told that the order would take 45 minutes, so I went out and did a quick errand. The food had taken quicker and I wasn't home! They were SO polite and kind about waiting for me and apologized for coming early (when it was clearly my fault)! I will definitely be waiting to order Chinese food for when I come to Enterprise ^_^!

I like my Chinese food, particularly Hunan and Szechuan styles, so I am in Enterprise Alabama on business, so I had to try the only place in town that has Hunan in its name. I was also directed here by the 5 star rating on Yelp (one review). Well, I can say that I can confirm Will's 5 star findings. I ask the owner for a recommendation, and she suggested the Chashao, which is traditional strips of barbecue pork cooked with onions and garlic. I ordered it spicy, as I like it, and it was excellent. The onions were cooked just right, and the pork was wonderful. As good as any I've had, even back in Los Angeles, where we have outstanding Chinese restaurants. This is NOT Panda Express, but authentic Chinese food cooked by Chinese people. The restaurant was a bit quiet tonight when I stopped in, and the very nice owner sat down and we had a nice chat. If you want to try authentic Hunan and Szechuan food, this restaurant is a real jewel in the city of Enterprise. According to the menu, Hunan Chinese Restaurant has been here for 30 years. The wife hosts and serves and her husband does the cooking. Its a nice family owned business, and next time I'm back in Enterprise I will definitely be back for another meal.

Lately I have not been happy with the food coming out of here. I'm not sure if they hit a rough patch or what but it's very disappointing. I always order Peking Duck for the family. But the last two or three times we have ordered we've had to pay OVER $30 for a friggin tiny ass duck. And I mean TINY! Normally when we order a duck anywhere else, you get two boxes full of duck but with Hunan, you NOW get a box that is 3/4 of the way full. And I am not exaggerating, I asked her to leave me the bones once so I can make duck stir fry and the damn thing was about 7 inches long. AT FRIGGIN LEAST, if you only get small ducks or can only afford small ones than you need to adjust your prices accordingly. Not to mention every time they come to my house the driver either forgets the credit card machine or is too dumb to use it right so I have to stand there for 10 mins while they get their crap together. And when they don't, I get the pleasure of having Ms. Abby talk to you like it's your falt when she has to take your card over the phone. They also charge a delivery fee which they have never told me they have done before. They also charge you for every damn cup of rice they send. This place says they've been in business for for 30 years and I believe them, because they survive on stolen money. I won't give my business to you anymore so you can eat a big fat one. by the way their buffet sucks. There is one station there with dry food and the place is baron all day. They make their money off deliveries.

For about 20 years I have been periodically eating at Hunan's. It is the only Chinese type food restaurant where I desire to eat. There are other's where I eat, however this is the one I like most when I'm in the area.

Horrible!!! General Tso's chicken was gross. Fried rice was bland. Crab Rangoon had this liquidy cream cheese consistency and no crab meat in it. It looked awful and tasted the same. The owner was nice but she was kind of all over the place and it wasn't busy when I went. Coming from the northeast where Chinese food is very good, now I know why. I can get away with eating so-so chinese food if that's what I have to do but this was horrible and I'll never go back again.

We had a great dinner at Hunan Chinese tonight. It was kind of late, about 8, when we came in. The buffet was a little low so they cooked more just for us. The hostess brought cream cheese wontons, pot stickers and egg rolls to our table just for us. The food was great and we left happy. Thank you!

First and last time I am ordering takeout from here. Took an hour to arrive. I paid with a card over the phone and one of the employees texted me saying the number was wrong. I went over it with her several times and she was just typing it in wrong. The food is extremely sweet. I ordered the General Tsao's chicken dinner and it tasted fishy. The sauce was yellow... That was a first. I only ate a few pieces and on one of the bites, the chicken was a purplish-red color on the inside. It was either raw or it was really old. Judging by the taste, it was most likely spoiled. I threw it up about an hour later. The health inspector should probably make a surprise visit.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
