The steaks are very good! I went for my birthday Monday 8/10/15 for the steak and endless shrimp. I never got any more shrimp. I was told I had more coming but none never came. The place had maybe 7 tables at 6:30 that evening. I was pissed. Waiter never gave a reason. He said he would bring me some shrimp at the end of our meal but I said no. The shrimp reheated would be like rubber. Also the shrimp are a lot smaller than the commercial shows. Oh, and get the sirloin. The filet is smaller and cost a lot more. The sirloin is as good as the filet.

The only good thing about this place is walking out. Wait staff are hit and miss. A few really great staff, however, most appear too stoned or drunk to care about their jobs. Orders are constantly screwed up and cold. Bartender needs to study a drinks manual before stepping behind a bar to serve anything other than beer. Overall, terrible. Take your business to another steak house, this isn't one.

Always good....we had the steak salad and loved it. The steak was cooked just the way we asked for it to be cooked. The server was very nice and was attentive to our wants. He kept the bread coming. The coffee at Outback is really good and he made a fresh brew for us. I had a $5.00 coupon on my phone app for Outback and they honored the coupon so we got $5.00 off our ticket. Brent did a great job. Thanks Outback for another great meal. We will be back when we are in Dothan area again.

I was happy to find a familiar chain restaurant here in Dothan. I live in the neighboring city now and our options are limited. The good: - Service was super friendly - At 2pm on a Saturday afternoon, this place was a ghost town - Huge portions for certain meals - Consistent flavors compared to their other locations -Off the main drag so easy to get to -They offer military discounts! The just meh: -I didn't see lobster on the menu (just a picture but no option to order it -Call me crazy but I am not a fan of sticky menu's -The coconut shrimp was over-coated. Some pieces had underdone dough/breading due to it being too much on there Overall, not a bad place to visit. I ended up with a new menu item (chicken BBQ salad) and the hubby ordered a filet and fully loaded baked potato.

Not impressed at all. If I was the owner I would have fired the manager and the cook staff. I went on a Saturday evening about 9:45 and most of the restaurant was empty. The girl that greeted us was great and we were seated in the bar area. Our server came out and took our order then disappeared. About that time two couples were seated next to us and the manager, bar tender, and a few of the off-shift employees were hanging around the bar watching the Alabama game. None of them ever looked over at the table that was sat next to us. After about 10 minutes the customers went and asked the manager for help and he came over with his arms crossed and an expression on his face that he was frustrated they interrupted his game. Our server came out right after that and started waiting on them and meanwhile we were still waiting on our food. This whole time you could hear the cook staff yelling in the back of the house at each good/bad play. When our food finally came out, our steaks were improperly cooked and our side of Aussie Cheese Fries came out as plain old fries. Our server went back to get cheese fries for us, but by the time they came out, we were finished with our meal. If you are going to have a staff that is more concerned about football, which I know is big in AL, then close the restaurant early so you don't give customers horrible service.

Went at 630 on a Sunday. My husband , myself and our child. My hubby ordered outback special. I got ribeye with sweet potato. The bread on our table was extra hard not very good seemed kinda old. Our food took awhile so the waiter kept checking in with us saying it won't be but a few more minutes. Finally after us drinking all our teas and getting refills our food comes. I asked for no onion or crutons but I got both. No big deal I picked them out. My ribeye honestly was so thin it really looked like a cheap piece of meat. It was also tough and tasted like someone spilled the pepper shaker on it. Not flavorful at all. But my sweet potato was the nastiest thing I have ever seen. It was small and they piled so much butter that I was picking out some and putting it on the plate. My orange sweet potato had the consistency of being milky. It was the worst food I have ever had here. I was so disappointed. I ouldnt even eat, half my steak. My food was really terrible. The waiter was fine but the food was the worst I've ever had in dothan. I went home hungry

Our lunch group was so happy when Outback started serving lunch on weekdays. Our group ranges from 8 - 14 people, and our ages are from 20 to 74. We have a lot of fun and while we realize that large groups are a challenge, we really appreciate a good meal and good service. We had neither at Outback. All three of the steaks that were ordered had to be sent back because they were not cooked properly. The one ordered medium-rare was actually still cool in its raw center. One of our group had to leave just as the food was served to keep an appointment, it was actually 1 hour and several minutes before our entrees came. She took hers in a "go" box. Our server spilled a glass of tea on the floor next to our table and it was still in a pool when we left. The hamburger steaks were burned on the outside, and one of our group ordered a cheeseburger that was so dry she couldn't eat it. It was all in all not a good experience and we will not try it again for a while.

This Outback rates 4 stars, keep in mind I hardly ever give a chain 5 stars since I am very tough on franchised restaurants, so 4 stars is good. Five of us walked in, place was getting crowded and the hostess asked up where we wanted to go! Yes, not follow me but where do you want to go! We all looked and said heck lets go to the bar. Was able to get the corner so it was just like a table all in all. Had a couple beers, yes the wine snob had a beer and then we thought we would cash out and get a table. The bartender was outstanding. Hey! Why leave I will take care of you she stated. OK fine, we will stay. placed our orders food arrived, cooked to order, and drinks flowed. Darn! am I at an Outback I asked myself? Was a great time with good company and a darn good bartender/waitperson! When in Dothan I will stop here.

We had an overall good dinner at this outback. I ordered the 10 oz ribeye medium and it was so thin an medium well. My boyfriend ordered the 16 oz ribeye medium well and it was medium-med rare..go figure lol. Our app was good and service was great our waitress was Lola an she was very nice and did a great job. Just kinda disappointing when you go to a "steakhouse" And the streaks are less than good.

Okay food but be prepared to drink a gallon of water later: it's SALTY! This location is usually busy as it seems to draw folks from all around due to Outbacks reputation I supppose. Be prepared to wait.

Last night's visit was a failure. Our harried waiter came by to apologise more than to do his job. He did not have time to serve our table, clearly, so after 20 minutes of not even being able to order our dinner, we put $10 on the table to cover our teas and left. Outback is very hit and miss. Also, waiters, I know this will hurt your feelings but we didn't come here to enjoy *your* company. I swear, you'd think this was LA and they were all out of work actors. Can the personality and be professional, ok?

I've always been a big fan of Outback, they always have delicious appetizers and steaks. I went to this Outback location last night with a party of 10 people. Even though the place was packed and had a waiting list they were able to accomodate our large party in less then 30 minutes. Once seated our server was very friendly and was on it, getting our drink and appetizer order right away. We had only been waiting for our drinks for about 5 minutes when our server came back and told us the bar was backed up and he apologized for the delay. A minute later a manager came by and apologized for the drinks not coming out right away. Noone minded but we thought it was cool that they were trying to keep us happy. The drinks arrived along with the appetizers and everyone was happy with their orders. Our server stayed on top of keeping our drinks full while we waited for our main meals to arrive. The meals came out, all correct, and everyone was very happy with their selections. I ordered a filet with horseradish crust, it was cooked perfectly and was well seasoned, the baked potato seemed very fresh and was tasty. I heard no complaints from anyone else. Our server was on top of everything, he never had to ask what people had ordered and he delivered everything himself. Overall everyone was happy, we'll be going back in the future. The only reason it doesn't get a 5 star rating is because for some reason the sanitation score was a 90? Normally they are 95 or higher in restaurants in the Dothan area.

Normally Outback has pretty good food for a chain. We recently visited this Outback with some friends for an early Sunday dinner. Our waiter was nice, and the place was fairly empty. The service seemed kind of slow for that fact that we were practically the only ones in there, but we just sipped our drinks and I tried to forget about it. Then our meal came. Our dishes were kind of messed up. The other couple we were with got their sides mixed up and one asked blatantly for no mushrooms and they came pilled on her chicken. I ordered the steak & shrimp scampi with steamed veggies. It looked yummy and I can't really complain about the taste BUT the only steak I got was two thin slices, not even enough to put on a sandwich. I didn't realize until we got home with the left overs. They had plated the shrimp on top of a dark oddly shaped piece of bread that we all thought was steak until my fiance cut into the left overs. So for around $16 I got two little slices of steak, a piece of rock hard bread, a few veggies and 3 shrimp. No way are we going back. Wtf?

outback is a great place. they are friendly and willing to help you if you get the right server. i really like this place because of the care they give you. i went in and was looking over the menu. one of the items that i usually got was taken off the menu, when i asked the server about it they replied that they still had it and would be happy to make it for me. this right here alone shows that they are willing to go the extra mile. the drinks are a little watered down but all in all it is a good place to go
