My husband and I visited Bella's to celebrate our anniversary. It is a little odd to seat yourself in a fine dining restaurant. However, as soon as we were seated the waitress greeted us and took our drink orders. She returned promptly with our drinks and took our order. Bread with olive oil dipping sauce and salads were delivered shortly after that. The salads were fresh and nicely composed, fresh olives, carrots, greens. I ordered the lime cilantro vinaigrette dressing - amazing! We enjoyed the atmosphere while waiting for our meals. The dining area is quiet, with soft jazz playing in the background. It's definitely a nice change from the crowded chain restaurants in town. I'm not sure how long it took our food to arrive, but I'd guess around 15-20 minutes. I ordered the Arrosoto Chicken, which is chicken in a white wine butter sauce topped with spinach and sundried tomatoes. It was delicious. Hubby ordered the seared tuna entree, which was served with wasabi. He said it was really good. Both entrees came with sauteed vegetables and scalloped potatoes. I could have ate a plate full of vegetables. They were reallly good. The dessert options were enticing, but we were both too full to have dessert. It was a delicious meal, and we really enjoyed ourselves. I had just returned from Europe, and I have to say that the experience at Bella's was better than any I had overseas - including dinner at a 2-star Michelin restaurant in Paris. Best special occasion restaurant in Dothan.

I have been in Dothan more than a year and a half never had a bad experience like this. I was with a large group meeting for dinner. The food took hours to arrive. They mixed up everybody's food and sides. The kids went to sleep waiting for their pizza and they were not able to accommodate 2 more of our friends on the table. I don't recommend this place at all and don't even think about going inside their doors.

Wonderful atmosphere and staff. I was encouraged to try the eggplant parmesan since I am a vegetarian. I was told they are known for having the best eggplant parmesan. Wow! It was awful! I have had better from the frozen food section at Publix. I will probably try again in hopes that it was an off night, but I won't have such high hopes.

Excellent dining! Very fine! My date and I had a lovely time. I called and made reservations ahead of time, we arrived early and were escorted directly to our seats, the hostess also mentioned that she would maybe do something special for us which was complimentary dessert. The food was amazing very fresh, huge portions!! Great place! It was a little more fancy then I had expected but still an awesome place for a date!

Lovely birthday dinner at Bella's tonight. Wonderful Alfredo fettuccine and a very tangy lasagna. Enjoyed the music and atmosphere. So much more pleasant than the mobs at the franchises with all the kids. Perfect place for a romantic dinner or business dinner - you could actually carry on a conversation!

Overall: This is NOT fine dining, this is a bistro that serves over priced food with small portions, and has very slow service. If you are not from here, you will likely recognize the difference between fine and casual dining. Also, you will find better food, service, and value at Olive Garden or even Panera Bread. Service: we had reservations and waited in the empty lobby for 10 mins, when we were finally seated, there were about 20 ppl dining so it wasn't a matter of being too busy. The server never offered wine suggestions, did not refill our drinks, did not remove our empty bread basket ever, or offer more bread. We waited forever for everything to come to the table. They forgot the vegi with my entrée and the server brought it after our check. Food: I ordered chicken Marsala. The dish was like hamburger helper stroganoff that my mom used to make, in taste and appearance, and my noodles were all cooked together like they weren't stirred when they were boiling. I am a 120 pound woman and I felt this was not enough food, never experienced that before. It was $22. My date ordered steak and it was a good flavor but arrived with mashed potatoes and mixed vegis both in small ramekins on the plate, like an ice cream scoop worth of potatoes. I love steamed vegis, neither of us could eat them bc they were covered in pepper. His meal was $22. When they brought my forgotten vegi, it was THREE stalks of asparagus. THREE. Miscellaneous: some of our bread was very hard like it was left out a long time, who knows. We asked for desert menus (they were not offered) and watched our server talk to another employee for a number of minutes and decided to just forego. An owner or manager came and put her boobs in my face to adjust the thermostat behind me while we were eating, did not say excuse me or even ask how our meal was. If the food was less expensive, it would be ok. The atmosphere isn't fancy or sophisticated. This is a bistro.

Not worth your time or money. I went with a large group of people and it took 3 hours to get our entree. When it eventually came I couldn't tell if it was mahi mahi or salmon. It was cooked so long it became as hard as a stone. I could barely chew it. I also got the caprese salad that had no balsamic on it. I got a piece of tiramisu to go and came home to find it half eaten or so it looked. All in all its a sorry excuse for Italian cuisine. My friends kids passed out in starvation waiting for the food to arrive

First time here. We really love the atmosphere!! It's beautiful in here and I love the fine dining feeling. The menu looks fantastic! Our bruschetta and bacon wrapped shrimp where to die for!!!! The only complaint I have is that our server seems to have way too much on his plate. He is too busy. Too busy to take the kind of care a fine dining establishment should of you. Maybe a few more employees to help ensure better service. But all around I am pleased and would return!

The food was mediocre. The service was TERRIBLE! Or waiter paid very little attention to us, and was obviously in a rush. He really ruined the experience for me. We just moved to Dothan from a much larger city and were looking forward to our first night out in town. We wanted to support downtown, but sadly, we will not be back.

I've been here twice with a large group (8 to 10) for business dinners. My favorite appetizer is the eggplant josephine. The crab and cheese dip is also amazing. The place has been under new management, I believe for about a year now, and the atmosphere is cozy with Italian music playing in the background. It is dimly lit, perfect for dates or a business dinner. The servers are very knowledgeable of the menu and always make great recommendations. I have not been while it is crowded, but both times the server was very attentive and did a fantastic job managing the large table. The drinks are strong, which makes it worth the price. The menu selection is limited, but I will say that they make those items very well. I was not terribly impressed with the steak, but the mahi-mahi was excellent. Another person with the group commented that the bacon wrapped shrimp were delicious and the salmon was a great choice.

First night in Alabama and taken to this awesome spot. Great atmosphere and fabulous food and drink. Had filet with pecan crusted mahi mahi and really enjoyed it. I hear its the only fine dining in town and its real gem.

This restaurant is amazing! I've been twice, but most recently, I took my girlfriend for a late lunch on Saturday, 21SEP2013. This was to be the meal before I proposed to her, so I wanted to make it extra special. Brent went out of his way to set up a table by itself in the middle of the restaurant, with rose petals on it, and even gave me the number to a harpist so I could hire her to be playing in the background. The chef went out of his way to ensure what we wanted to eat was made to perfection, and even presented in a way that went along with the theme. I had the filet mignon, and my fiance had the Italian chicken. It was perfect. It was an amazing experience, and I will continue to recommend this restaurant to everyone I know. Job well done!

My fiance and I went here for dinner after getting engaged. We made a reservation before hand and when we got to the restaurant we where seated in a corner of the room next to the office. It was a dark room but we had a spotlight coming down from above right onto us. It was somewhat blinding. Our waiter was also the bartender and they where out of all but one white wine. An Italian restaurant with only one white wine???? So I tried it and it was barely better than two buck chuck. Our waiter spent more time cleaning and getting ready to close than waiting on us. We felt like we where closing the place down at 7 o'clock. We had to ask him if we could order. Our salads came 25 minutes later and our main course came before we could even take two bites of our salad. My husband had the chicken Marsala which was great. The only great part of our experience. However my Lasagna was gross. Holly cow basil. Now don't get me wrong I love garlic, basil, oregano and such and I mean love. But the only taste in this dish was basil. I ate two bites and could't eat anymore. I was starving and I couldn't eat this dish. It was the worst Lasagna I have ever had. Our waiter never asked how our meal was or anything like that so I never had the chance to let him know something wasn't right with this dish. He then brought us the check without asking if we where ready. We said we wanted a desert he apologized and brought us our desert and the check at the same time. Bella's not only doesn't care about customers happiness but seems to want to rush us out. We spent $95 on the worst dinning experience of our lives. Bad service, bad food don't waste your time or money on this place.

DO. NOT. GO. The atmosphere is nice, as is the live music (though very loud), so drinks there would be fine, but never go for food. The only thing good was the crab and cheese dip, but there were tiny crab shells in even that. When we finally got our overpriced food from the ridiculously limited menu, it was barely warm. I got I think five mushroom ravioli, which was very mushroomy, true, but besides salt that was the only flavor. My husband got the lasagna, and it was cold and flavorless; Stauffer's oven lasagna tastes gourmet in comparison. As we were leaving we peeked in the kitchen and saw a skinny redheaded teenager (or they looked like a teenager, at least) who apparently was the "chef."

About Taco Bell

Taco Bell is a haven for Mexican delicacies such as tacos, quesadillas, burritos, nachos, and other specialty items. Owned by Yum! Brands, Inc. Taco Bell is one of the fastest growing American chains of fast food restaurants. The restaurant operates from 7,072 different locations which are mostly run by independent franchisees and licensees.

The background story of Taco Bell is interesting and inspiring for budding entrepreneurs. The fast-food brand is the brainchild of Glen Bell, who started his first food venture as a hot dog seller in San Bernardino, California. The year was 1948. After witnessing long queues outside a Mexican restaurant called Mitla Café across the street, Bell saw the opportunity and demand for hard-shelled Tacos. He reverse-engineered the recipe and later started selling Tacos and called the venture Taco-Tia.

Later, the name changed from Taco-Tia to El Taco. Eventually, Glen Bell sold the company to his partner and opened the first Taco Bell in Downey in 1962. By 1964, the restaurant also got its first franchise in Torrance. The 100th Taco Bell restaurant was opened by 1965. PepsiCo acquired Taco Bell from Glen Bell in 1978 and the restaurant brand is currently a subsidiary of Yum! Brands which looks after the restaurant business of PepsiCo.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
