Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Second review of this establishment: This dining experience was much better than my previous trip. We were seated quickly, food was served in a reasonable amount of time, the wait staff did there job well, and the food was good. Glad they got the bugs worked out!

Well we were visiting Decatur for an archery tournament and thought we would eat here as you know what you get with Olive Garden. Well at least we thought... My daughter is gluten intolerant and always orders off the gluten free menu. When the order of gluten free pasta came my daughter began to eat it, as she ate and got down into the bowl she noticed the noodles were different. They had mixed gluten free noodles with noodles that have gluten in them. When we called the server over she was shocked, then the manger came over and apologized and said she would talk to the cooks. How do you mix gluten free noodles with gluten noodles? That just tells me that this establishment does not have any controls on cross contamination and or doesn't care... You trust a place to have your health safety in mind and then they do this...can't trust any Olive Garden now I guess...

Absolute worst restaurant I've everrrrrrrr been to in my entire life. We've given it multiple tries and NEVER will again. So disappointed every time. Apathetic staff (seriously are they all on drugs?!), nasty wine glasses and dishware (and never a server who even offers to clean any) and atmosphere. The food is decent if you can get past everything else. I wouldn't eat here if they gave me free food for a year. Terrible establishment. I hope they get shut down and at this rate, they probably will.

In short: Bad food, overpriced, with poor service. Went late on a Friday night. They were out of 2 of the 3 draft beers. The server wasn't familiar with any of the 3 entrees we asked about. They were "out of salad and had to make more" so that took 20 minutes... and no bread sticks in the meantime either. Both were good when they arrived, but that was the high point of the meal. The $16 Chicken Marsala I ordered was undercooked... the white breading on the chicken that had clearly not been browned tasted like paste, and the chicken was rubbery, like it had only been warmed in a microwave. We didn't see the server again until he tried to sell us dessert -- except when he took my salad plate in passing without even asking. No staff seemed to know where the manager was. No one ever asked how my food was or why I barely touched my entree. They tried to overcharge me and only reluctantly adjusted my check, after I insisted. Two staff members argued openly and loudly in plain sight of the patrons. Staff was obviously under-trained and stretched too thin. The decor is nice and new... it's a shame it's wasted by the poor food, inexperienced staff, and bad management.
