I go to this place all the time. The sushi is outstanding and the staff is friendly. It is pretty awesome that such a high quality sushi joint is located outside of Ft. Rucker, Alabama. My usual is the dragon roll, spicy tuna roll, red bull, and California roll. Everything on the menu is great though.

I was visiting my mom in Enterprise and had a craving for some sushi. After doing a yelp search, this seemed to be the place to go. We drove to the restaurant on Saturday for lunch to discover the restaurant would not be open until 5 pm. Looking back, how I wish I would have taken this as a sign to go somewhere else. But no. I just had to try this place based on all the fantastic reviews. So we went to Dothan and shopped for the day and returned around 6 pm. The restaurant is in a depressing looking strip mall and that, in itself, would have normally turned me away. But I remembered all the sparkling, almost gushing, reviews and forged in, dragging my reluctant mother behind me. Upon walking in, I looked around and was surprised that there were so very few customers. Yet another sign that I was about to make a mistake. We were seated at a sticky table in the dimly lit restaurant and handed dirty menus. At this point, I normally would have left. Again, after reading such great reviews, I felt obligated and committed to trying the sushi. We ordered a couple of salads with ginger dressing and 3 different rolls. The volcano, the "crunchy" spicy tuna, and the "crunchy" shrimp. The salads came out and things looked somewhat promising. The typical sushi restaurant salad. Iceberg lettuce mix and dressing. The dressing was delicious and the lettuce was fresh. Hence, the one star. Then came the sushi. It was, simply put, a disaster. No way was that fish fresh. The amount of rice used could have fed a small village in Zimbabwe. The "crunch" was a heavy-handed topping of Panko bread crumbs. The "crab" on top of the Volcano roll was a warm, odd tasting, orangey goop of nastiness. We tried to eat it. I honestly felt like I was on the reality show Survivor during a gross food eating challenge. Leaving the restaurant, we felt dejected, disappointed and seriously let down by all the Yelp reviews that read so promising. Maybe that Saturday night was a "clean-out-the-fridge" night. Either way, try this place at your own risk. It's obviously a hit or miss. This visit was definitely a big miss. I really wish I had just taken my mother to Miyori in Enterprise.

I'm new to the sushi world, this was a great experience! I tried 2 different rolls, a volcano special (not actually spicy) and an Alskan roll. Both were very good. Ask for the YumYum sauce, it's true to its name ;) very very good. Wait was a bit long; worth it though, as I wasn't in a hurry. I will be back, for sure. Volcano special was an awesome treat.
(5)Alan D.
Review is for hibachi. Fried rice, chicken and steak hibachi was excellent. Tender soft sirloin and excellent vegetable medley. The best thing though was the yum yum sauce. Since my favorite place closed in FL a decade ago, this is THE BEST yum yum sauce anywhere (I've eaten). Could drink that stuff! Be advised prices are steep. $19 before taxes and tip for this meal and I drink water.
(5)Nathan B.
I eat here 2-3 times a week! This is the best sushi restaurant I have ever been to and their prices are great too! Crunch and munch is my go to with their ginger salad dressing
(5)Rebecca H.
What a surprise!!! Delicious fresh sushi and great service. The all-you-can-eat deal for $26 is quite the deal, can even include the soups or salad. Highly recommended!
(5)Julia C.
Looks like a hole in the wall. But I read the reviews and decided to give it a try. So glad I did. My husband and I order take out all the time!! Give it a try! Great sushi!
(4)Erika K.
The best sushi available near Fort Rucker! My husband and I had our first date here, and that worked out well!!! I like all of the rolls, including the strangely named Mexican Orgasm... nothing Mexican that I can identify, but still yummy! The hurricane is a popular one too :-)
(4)Joshua C.
Very good! I don't eat fish, so I can't comment on their sushi. However, many of my friends love their sushi. I love their fried rice, gyoza, lunch plates, and non-fish sushi.
(5)Jacqueline H.
The first time I passed by Tokyo Sushi my impression was it was a run down sushi place that I should probably stay away from. After word of mouth and reading reviews my husband and I decided to give it a try. We were greeted right away and seated. It was a Friday night and pretty packed. The place has a nice ambiance to it. Almost felt like a nice ATL sushi restaurant. I can put away some food so I decided to go wit the all you can eat for 25.99. I ordered from the special rolls... Mexican orgasm, atomic something or another, and the volcano. I had to force myself to finish all 3 rolls as they are huge! The sushi here is outstanding, nothing like Ive ever seen or eaten. Very creative rolls and pleasing to the taste as to the eyes. If you are a sushi fan..please give this place a try! You wont be disappointed.
(5)Ally W.
Best restaurant in daleville I'm never disappointed when I come here. They just expanded recently so now it feels much more comfortable. The prices are fair for how much food you receive and the hibachi style chicken is as good as any expensive hibachi restaurant.

I must admit that from the look of this place and it's surroundings, I had far less than high hopes. BOY, WAS I WRONG!!!! The sushi here was great and the appearances of the courses served, closely resemble entrees served at more expensive venues. I have eaten here in upwards of 4 or 5 times and have not been disappointed yet. I have had the salmon roll, the tuna roll, the hand rolls, the special rolls, the tempura rolls and have been pleased after every meal. ***** I want everyone to know that if you eat here you HAVE to get the FRIED ICE CREAM DESSERT!!!!!!*********** This is no joke, the best dessert I have ever had! Not your typical Fried Ice cream served at Hispanic restaurants, rather something new and delicious! The dessert consists of a ball of vanilla ice cream, wrapped in a ball of angel food cake, then deep fried and drizzled with a touch of chocolate syrup served warm. PLEASE TRY IT FOR YOURSELF!!!!!! I wouldn't be a fair yelper if I didn't mention the bad... The only reason this restaurant didn't receive 5 stars were for small things. One time for lunch the salmon Nigiri served to me was slightly slimy and had an old taste. As mentioned earlier this place isn't in the best location for appearances, but in a PRIME location for functionality due to the distance from Ft. Rucker, if that makes any sense. The staff is a little disconnected at times, mainly at night when waiting on customers. But this place would be a first recommendation for any other sushi place in surrounding areas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Â!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GREAT PLACE TO EAT!
(4)Damian W.
The best dining experience I've ever had. Impeccable customer service, dining, cleanliness. The food was breath taking and so authentic. A must do while in the Lower Alabama, Fort Rucker area.
(5)Alice H.
I love this place more than words. I used to live off of some of the best, and freshest sushi for a number of year, and I got a bit picky. The fact that this place is in a tiny place outside of Fort Rucker? It boggles the mind... This is truly some of the best sushi I have had in the last 5 years, and I will be frequenting this establishment as many times a week as my bank account allows... Or probably more than that. Shut up, bank account! You don't tell me what to do!
(5)Alex P.
Good food, but WORST SERVICE EVER!!! We waited 20 minutes during lunch just to get our drinks. Once we ordered, the waitress forgot to give us out salad (which was part of the meal for an appetizer). We then reminded her after we received our main course. One of the dishes we ordered was NOT supposed to have vegetables, and it was loaded with onions and peppers. I personally only was able to have 1 soda, because after ordering another, it took 35 minutes to get it. This place is not prepared to serve as many people as it can seat which results in some of the poorest service I have ever received. I would not recommend Tokyo Sushi to my friends, especially if they value service as much as I do.
(2)David M.
This place is pretty awesome. The sushi is top notch. The service is a little slow but it's definitely worth the trip. EDIT: they've recently added on to their restaurant and stepped up the service. I've upgraded this place to 5 stars since every visit since the renovation has been great.
(5)Ethan G.
Good food and great service. The quality of rice on the sushi was lacking, it was too hard, like old rice. For the price I expect to at least have the rice be good.
(4)Bill K.
Best sushi in a 50 mile radius. The service has slipped slightly since the expansion. But overall great food and my families' favorite restaurant near Ft. Rucker.
(5)Ryan W.
Great place for a quick lunch with the best sushi in the Enterprise area!! Not a huge place but definitely family friendly with quick service and a good price for the quality!
(4)Chloe M.
I absolutely love sushi. My mom started taking me to sushi restaurants when I was a little kid. When I came to Fort Rucker for flight school I tried the sushi restaurants in Enterprise because I heard they were good. Unfortunately I found that to not be true. I was spoiled on Sushi because I grew up in California near the ocean where sushi can be made fresh daily and comes from a fish market. Unfortunately all the restaurants in the Fort Rucker area do not have this luxury, but Tokyo is the best you are going to find. Tokyo is small and is a gem hidden in the sketchy area of Daleville. Their sushi is amazing and is given in big portions. I also can eat over $40.00 worth of Sushi so I usually get the "all you can eat" special for $26.95... I was a regular there and every time I walked in Amie would bring me my green tea and water and Ben would start making my favorite rolls. I am so impressed with the service and so happy with the taste. Every once in a while I have eaten a roll when the fish is not fresh and it still tastes better than any of the other restaurants in the Area. I have left Fort Rucker and there is a hole in my stomach that I haven't been able to fill because I am once again left without any good sushi. Good Luck Tokyo Sushi and I hope to see you again for Captain's Career Course!
(5)Mitchell J.
My friends and I lived here for a year and a half, and this was our favorite dinner spot. The all you can eat sushi is the best deal in town, and the quality of the food is superb.
(5)Jim G.
Tokyo Sushi offers an all you can eat deal on their Sushi for only $26.95 and it's the BEST deal on Sushi within 100 miles of Fort Rucker. Just be sure to bring a hearty appetite and you won't be disappointed.
(5)Jessica T.
My go-to spot for sushi in the area! The decor is really cute and gives off a fresh vibe. My fiancé and I like going for the all-you-can-eat because we can consume quite a lot of sushi, we like the variety and creativity of the special rolls, and the best thing is that most of the menu is available for this option! Obviously, sashimi is not included but I do not mind because I usually only order sashimi at restaurants that are more "authentic" to ensure quality. One minor thing I was disappointed by was that the all-you-can eat only includes one dessert, so that was a bummer for a mochi ice cream fiend like myself, but that will not going to deter me from returning again and again to fill myself with fun, yummy, multi-textured, creative sushi rolls :) Service here is really friendly and helpful! Another plus is that the restaurant, minus it's location in a strip mall, transports me back home to similar sushi spots in New York. If you are dining here as a group, be patient because food will take much longer to get to you, but it's definitely worth the wait, and it's a good opportunity to share beer and sake with friends!
(5)Michael N.
Good food, but the wait staff can be inept. Everyone in our party got their food at different times, they'd bring salads and soup out after the entrée. Great food, but the service could use improvement.
(2)Molly L.
This is my favorite place to eat and in my opinion the best restaurant in the area. The sushi is delicious, we always get the Bad Boy Special and the Spicy Okinawa Tuna Roll and they're amazing. The grill meals are sooo so good- we love the teriyaki chicken and steak and always ask for extra yumyum sauce for the rice, and this place has the BEST miso soup I have literally ever eaten. DEFINITELY worth a try.
(5)Brent Y.
I'm from LA and a bit of a sushi snob. I admit to being very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the sushi here in this little southern town. The sashimi was fresh, the service was attentive, and the overall quality and taste was very good. I will be going back and recommend this restaurant to you.
(4)Dana H.
We drove from Dothan to Daleville this evening just to try Tokyo Sushi and we were very glad we did. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with good lighting and quiet music. The ginger dressing on their salad is wonderful and not diluted with mayonnaise. Their miso soup is also authentic, cloudy with bits of seaweed and tofu. We mostly had sushi, all of which was fresh and delicious. One of my sons ordered a hibachi meal which was good too, cooked correctly and served hot. We then ordered mochi ice cream and fried ice cream for dessert. Both were excellent. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. We will definitely be back.
(5)Craig C.
Tokyo Sushi is definitely my go to Sushi place in Daleville. The food is made very consistently and looks like a piece of art every time. In truth, I have never been to a sushi restaurant this often. The staff is friendly, and at times service can be a little slow, sure, but that's only because there are a handful of people (I've never seen more than 6 people working at the same time) working as hard as they can and there are a lot of customers that are hungry for some really quality sushi!
(5)Darvin B.
Great atmosphere and super friendly staff! I had a great time. If you're into trying different things, it's worth trying the "all you can eat" (come with an appetite!). Definitely became one of my favorite spots in the area!
(5)Tony G.
The best sushi in town, a great place to do lunch, dinner, or an all-you-can-eat sushi bar (plus most other menu items). Great atmosphere and service to accompany their delicious meals. Try starting your meal with a tuna tataki or sweet shrimp appetizer and follow up with a volcano or hurricane roll.
(5)Zara P.
This place is top notch! My husband and I eat here at least twice per week. The service is excellent and we typically get our food very fast, as they usually have 3-4 sushi chefs working. We have gotten both sushi and hot food, both are fresh and well prepared. Better than most sushi spots in larger cities!
(5)Marisela G.
The sushi is great, and prices are fine. Also, all you can eat for about $25! Very convenient if you feel like having many different rolls. Desert is included too!
(4)Rachel S.
Wonderful sushi and service! We have personally had a dozen of their rolls and have yet to be disappointed! Their house salad with ginger dressing is a great way to start a meal and their prices are typical for sushi, and worth it!
(5)Jackie N.
My Husband and I went here for dinner tonight with some friends. We have been here a few times before and the food is always pretty good. But the service is starting to get very annoying. It is to the point that I do not want to go there anymore. One of our friends and I waited for about 25 minutes for our food. My husband waited another 10 minutes for his food. And our other friend waited another 10 minutes for his food. I was pretty much done eating by the time he received his food. It takes a lot for me to get irritated at a restaurant and I always try to be aware of how busy the servers are and how busy the restaurant is. And I am fully understanding that sometimes the restaurant can be short staffed or extremely busy. But it was not overly crowded (4-6) open tables at least. The servers are always running around doing the best they can. I really believe that it has to do with the sushi chefs who hand make their rolls. They really need to hire more chefs or do something to fix the wait time for food.

I am from Hawaii and now live here in Enterprise AL, military life of course. This is the closest to home I will get. The sushi is made FRESH and it is the best place I find around here for sushi. The dragon ball is good and the gyoza is awesome. A bit pricy but its worth it if you want something fresh. I would've given them a 5 but I didn't because I waited almost an hour and a half just to get an order of sushi to go. I had to wave the waitress down a few times before my order was actually places, very disappointing other then that food is awesome!
(4)R P.
Best Japanese food in the area! Sushi is perfect with lots of options and special rolls. Hibachi is on the menu, too. They have an all you can eat options which is really a great deal. Be advised this is a real popular place and can get busy sometimes. But the service is 5 star and so is the food. If I'm going on a Friday or Saturday night I'll sometimes try to call ahead to save a table. They are also one of the few places open late which is great! They also accept takeout orders. Try the Mochi ice cream - I'd never had Japanese ice cream before and it was awesome!
(5)Veronica S.
Love this place! Service is excellent, food is amazing, always count the days to go back.
(5)Sofia R.
For daleville the best! For the rest of the world hmmm it's ok! Good for lunch as it is right outside the gate. Service was good and the place was clean.
(3)Greg R.
Very good sushi. I went here based on other reviews on here, and it did not disappoint. Lunch prices were very reasonable as well.
(4)Catherine L.
Tokyo Sushi was a disappointment after eating at Saki Sushi. Tokyo Sushi is as americanized as Saki is authentic. The whole menu is altered to fit American taste buds, which is not a bad thing, it is still tasty, but if you are looking for authentic Japanese food, this is not it. So my friends had the steak plate and the chicken and shrimp plate. they both were good, well cooked and tender, but all the meats seemed to have been prepared in the same kind of sauce, so chicken, shrimp, beef, all had the same flavor. I had a roll, which was ok, forgettable. Proof? I forgot its name and vaguely remember having some soft shell crab and eel in it... maybe.
(2)Jack V.
Great sushi at a great price, go with the all you can eat. We are so thankful for this place here at ft Rucker. Fish is fresh and pieces are large, topped with great staff
(5)Jenna W.
This is exactly what you would expect from sushi in a strip mall. Very friendly and sweet staff, pretty good sushi with lovely presentation. Make sure you don't have anywhere to be- we sat around waiting for our food... then our check... etc. We left satisfied but without our minds blown.
(3)Lee B.
4 stars on the Daleville scale, 3 on the normal scale. However, the restaurant has been closed the past week - apparently just sold to another owner. Not sure what's going to happen now
(3)Deb D.
Very good sushi in a place you would not expect it. Daleville is a tiny town right outside of Ft. Rucker. Plan on saying a while because they don't have a lot of employees. I find it a nice place to go and have great conversation while anticipating good food.
(4)Andrea G.
Sushi is my favorite food and this place can be a hit or miss. Service is not consistent, sometimes you'll get your food in 10 minutes, sometimes in an hour. The caterpillar roll is the best out of the rolls, and try the salad with the ginger dressing. This is the priciest lunch spot in Daleville.
(3)Ryan L.
Great little sushi place. Close to base and quick service. Soon they will have all u can eat sushi.
(5)Toonces The Driving Cat K.
Again, having to travel to A-Bama for decent sushi is kinda funny. Having had fantastic sushi in Cali, Alaska and Colorado...my recent sushi move to Kansas has proved disappointing. Tokyo Sushi was pretty good, especially the dynamite roll! The lobster had a little too much sauce, but the volcano roll was quite yummy. Very yummy!
(4)Jeremy C.
Easily the best restaurant I've eaten at here in Daleville. The sushi was really good tasting. The presentation far exceeded my expectations. The service was a little bit slow but not bad. I would say 5 stars on the Daleville scale and 4 on a normal scale. The prices were very reasonable for the quality of food and atmosphere. The inside will surprise you. It's not what you expect from a strip mall in this area of the state. I will go back. One additional downfall is they are only open for lunch. I wish they had evening hours.
(4)Kelli B.
Amazing food and great prices, and can't beat the service. Under new owners. Was told they are gonna be open all day soon!! Can't wait!!
(5)C K.
i have been wondering about this place and finally a friend got me to go and i was impressed. we got a salmon roll and a few other things i really don't remember the names of. the food was good and i saw nothing wrong with it. the service was nice and we didn't have to wait to long. over all a good place and I'll try to go back sooner
(4)Zachary P.
I should have known... I was skeptical but several people said it was good. Dear god it was not. The tuna nigiri was so torn it looked like someone tried to cut it with a butter knife. And the salmon was so dry it was either smoked or someone was trying to make it into jerky. The rolls were over stuffed and poorly formed. My stomach felt like shit the next morning too. Hillbillys and sushi do not mix...
(2)e c.
Standard sushi - but done well, especially compared to the hibachi places in the area. If you like wasabi on your sushi - tell your waitress when you order. Everywhere here seems to only put it on the side for nigiri because of so many locals disliking it. Also, limited hours - you'll have to stop by for lunch. Bit of a bummer, that. I came in alone - the decor is clean and neat. The sushi bar is nice and visible throughout. The waitresses are very friendly. I ordered a sushi bento box. It came with standard salad with ginger dressing (although house dressing is also an option), rice (although fried, not steamed), shrimp tempura and a couple of pieces of veg tempura, one gyoza, a couple of pieces of makisushi, and 4 nigirisushi. It comes with tuna, salmon, shrimp, and red snapper. The were very accommodating about allowing me to substitute for the red snapper - many places would not allow this. If desired, miso must be ordered separately - but it's very inexpensive. This lunch box was about 10 dollars. Very reasonable. I would normally give a place like this 3 stars because it is exactly what you would expect in any sushi lunch environment, but I'm giving it 4 because the sushi (and the tempura items), the staff, and the environment are just SO much better than the other places I have tried here.
(4)A R.
Small spot just out of the Daleville gate at Fort Rucker. Sushi tastes pretty good and the serving sizes are larger than most sushi places in the area.
(4)Pamala K.
ginger dressing!!!! try it! omg...i don't even like ginger and i loved this dressing!
(4)Pheakdey Y.
Exterior and Location: Small within a small broken down plaza. Not much to see from the outside. Would never expect good food here. Interior: Simple decor, comfortable easy to sit and have a nice lunch Food Taste: Sushi, simply put, Alabama would be one of the last places I would expect quality raw fish (tuna, white tuna, salmon. etc) This eatery has a good selection of Maki Rolls, Sashimi and your standard stir fry noodles, and rice dishes. I had the opportunity to try the Sashimi lunch special. 3 different kinds of raw fish, with a small bowl of rice. Perfect portion for the price, and fish was well cut. Good quality taste, no "FISHY" after taste. Tataki Beef, this was very good. Rice was cooked perfectly, nicely seasoned. The flavor was just right, not to sweet, not salty. They did not try to cover up the food with sauce. A separate sauce was served with the stir fry but I did not need it since the rice + the beef was already perfect together. My only suggestions here is to add vegetables. My salad that came with the lunch was not great just like most places, just lettuce which I took and added to my rice and beef. This combo was absolutely worth getting the salad without dressing. Service: Quick, friendly nothing to special but nothing lacking. Overall Review: I give this place 4 stars. It would have been 5 if they had offered more to accommodate the customer. One thing came to mind, offering brown rice over white. Simple and small request. More Maki selections and more stirfry selection would not hurt. I would come here again.

So cute inside I almost forgot I was in Daleville. Great service and delicious food!
