Went to Pops on the way to Smith Lake. Way better than I expected! I had the brisket plate with baked beans and potato salad. The brisket was tender, moist and had a good bark. My wife had the pork BBQ plate with fries and baked beans. Very tender and smoke flavor was good, not too overwhelming. The complimentary homemade chips were great. The place was packed by the time we left. Our kids also enjoyed the Mac and cheese. Will definitely stop again. Only things we would add: sampler plate and cold beer.
