Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

Road trip from TN to PCB -- stopped here for early dinner. We were pleasantly surprised. Reviews are accurate. The building on the outside was a bit sketchy, but once inside - EVERYTHING was amazing. The service was friendly and professional. The food was solid Mexican fare. We shared the "molcajete" which came recommended by the server. Wow! If you are close and want good food at a great price try Lupe's!!!

Decent food. Salsa standard soup though. Thin chips. The only bright spot was the guacamole. Great decor. This place will satisfy a craving but not for 4 or 5 star Mexican.

Stopped on the way back to TN from the beach... Fantastic fajitas and cold Dos XX. Margaritas were good too!

Great food and fast service. Great value. Sancho Panza was the special of the day. Very large burrito with cheese sauce. Chips and salsa are the best around

The fajitas were good but the beef a little dry. I've had better Mexican food. Still a very nice restaurant I can recommend.

In town to do some work and three of us had dinner. Service was very attentive. We all cleaned our plates. The food was very good. One of our party is vegetarian and had a good selection to choose. The owner stopped by our table several times to insure we had everything we wanted.

We were passing through Cullman and tried Lupe's. Great choice! Good, cheap, and fast. The place was full, so apparently the locals agree. There isn't a dedicated "vegetarian" section on the menu, but I asked for a modified fajita taco salad, and it was really good! In addition to the normal onions and peppers, it had broccoli, squash, and zucchini. They also have a good "build your own combo" option, which my husband enjoyed.

"WOW" is probably the most accurate word for this restaurant. It is just great about everything what you can expect from restaurant. First of all, very warm and friendly greeting even though I walked in late night. I was approached by waiter right away and was surprised to see huge selection of food. After asking waiter for recommendation I went for Spacial fajitas and was not disappointed at all. I never ate at any other Mex restaurant such delicious fajitas. It was served in exactly five minutes after ordering. It was fastest I've seen ever. Moreover it was so hot, that it was sizzling on the skillet... Also the portion was huge, I had to take home.... Five stars!

Any Mexican restaurant review must begin with a comment about the chips and salsa. you can tell a lot about a Mexican restaurant by the quality if these two basic elements. Chips were thin, crisp and fresh. The salsa was flavorful and not too spicy.Carne Asada burrito was out of this world! My husband had the steak and shrimp fajitas which piled high and also out of this world. The meat and sauces were all very flavorful--far above your run-of-the-mill Latin fare.

We had trouble finding Lupe's. The address was listed at 2nd ave NE, but it is located at 2nd ave NW. We found it and we were glad we did. My husband had the Special Fajita which was a huge platter of assorted meat (enough for 3), marinated, tender and delish. The burrito carne asada was full of marinated beef strips and was very good. The chips were excellent. The price of meals was very reasonable.

On our way home to Nashville we stopped off in Cullman for a refuel and were craving some Mexican food. Great and unexpected find! Fabulous service, delicious food. We'd go back if we lived in the area.

We had a pretty nice dinner here for my Wife's birthday. The kids ate off the children's menu, I had the Chicken Chimi (don't look for much else when I'm out for Mexican), and the birthday girl had a chile relleno and taco combo. Everything we had was nicely prepared and tasty, but a touch less spicy than I was expecting.
