Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

We were driving from Florida to Branson Missouri and stopped on the way to get some lunch . The waitress was friendly and professional . The food was good, fresh and filling. On our way out we met with a State Trooper who was walking in and he took the time to talk to our two small boys who were traveling with us and they were in awe !!!

The Habanaeros in Chelsea had great flavored food however; my husband and I got margaritas. The only flavor you could taste in those were the margarita mix and no tequila. We asked the waiter to please take off our bill and bring 2 beers instead. The manager Ruby came by with two tequila shots and we were like no thank you please take the margaritas off our bill. She proceeded to say well mam you ordered it... It will not be removed. I thought that was VERY inappropriate! I then walked up to her and asked for her name and she gave me her name again RUBY. I told her that I was going to be calling her manager. She then proceeded to tell me well mam you are the stupid one that ordered the drinks. I will NEVER be back at this location EVER again!!

The food has a lot of flavor, without the regretful stomach problems the day after. It is very clean, bathrooms and all. The service is phenomenal. I can promise you that you will never run out of your drink even on a Saturday night. The salsa is fantastic, and very spicy! They are affordable too, great food for a great price!

We go to Habaneros about once a month because they give us fast service, good food and fair prices. It is not a fancy restaurant, so you don't have to dress up, but the food is always hot, and served quickly. Almost all the waiters speak Spanish, but hey it is a Mexican restaurant. I believe the food is authentic and it tastes good. The fajitas are excellent. They come out sizzling hot. The Carne asada is also very good. The beer is cold. We like it and are glad it is close to home in Chelsea.

Nothing special. Exactly what you'd expect. But it's the only one in town so it's what you get. The drive into Birmingham is worth it for much better food.

I have eaten at a few Habaneros locations in the area. Most frequently at the one in Trussville on Hwy 11. The salsa is some of the best. It's not very chunky, but it's not thin and runny either. Sometimes they do seem to get a bit cilantro happy, but when they haven't added too much of that, it is outstanding. The chips are hit or miss. Sometimes they are hot and delicious, other times they are stale. The food itself is usually good and very affordable. The service, as I mentioned, is always very quick and attentive. Certainly worth a try if you're in the mood for Mexican!

The chips were cold and the salsa was watery. Also ordered the cheese dip which was watery and bland. We ordered the vegetable burrito which was very salty and cheese enchilada which needed some flavor. It tasted like all of the sauces were from a can. The food here is greatly overpriced and the quality is very poor.

Waiters accent too thick to understand, food is fresh from the microwave. It's ok, other family members like it more than me. It's better than taco hell but not what I look forward to.

Good Tex Mex. Good service. Margaritas are decent. I can highly recommend any of the shrimp dishes. They don't overcook them. Good prices also. The salsa is not the chunky kind that I love, but it's not bad. I wish they had a "hot" version.
