This place is a little of the beaten path but truly one of the best bbq meals I've had in my life. I came expecting great things and that is exctalty what i got. Had the pork plate which was great. The pork was chopped which gave it another level of interesting taste as well as a great sauce. This combined with the brilliant Texas toast they give you with it is a winning combination. The cole slaw as well was the best I've ever had which is saying something giving i love slaw. Beans were good as well they were piping hot which i always appreciate. Overall the meal was splendid besides the price. The only thing i didn't like was the fact that i paid 15$ for a meal at a shack on the side of the road. Im not sure if it was because they thought the food was that good or that they need to charge that much but i like to go get some hole in the wall bbq for 6$ not an outrageous 15$. But even with the price the food might just draw me back.

Drove an extra 30 minutes to try this place and wasn't disappointed. Pork sandwich was great and the owner threw in some back straps for us to try, which were excellent. This is a take out or patio seating only spot so pay attention to the weather.

Phenomenal BBQ! Had the brisket and was blown away! Potato salad and fries were awesome too!

I got to the restaurant about 15 minutes before they were to close yet still had good service and an excellent meal. While i took the meal as a take out the pork was excellent. Seemed really lean and the sauce was very good. Can't wait to go back and try the brisket.

I had the pulled pork with baked beans and potato salad. Absolutely loved it! Will be going back soon!

Stopped in to pick up late lunch while in town for work. Had pulled pork sandwich plate with potato salad and coleslaw sides with sweet tea. Pork was chopped which gave it an interesting texture of a little crunch along side the buttered Texas toast. Sauce was not too sweet or hot but just right. A little pricey for a lunch at $15.65.

Road trip stop on the way from FL to Nashville. Food was very good for people looking to eat something local instead of a fast food chain. However, not an ideal road trip stop because the service is not very fast. We had a large group (7 people) but we ended up being there for an hour. Also, no bathroom which doesn't make it a great road trip stop either.

Great little spot just a couple of miles off the interstate when you don't want fast food. It's not a restaurant so to speak, more like a small, order-at-the-window building. There is some seating/tables off to one side that is covered and partially enclosed. I had the pork sandwich, everything was fresh and tasty. The sauce had good flavor as well. Service was nice and polite, a very young man (maybe the owner's son?), even came over to my table to ask how my food was (and did so professionally I might add!).

Stopped here on the drive down from Nashville through 'bama. The guy working the counter was amiable, the food was quite good (I got the 2 polish sausages), and there is some nice covered outdoor seating next to the trailer store-front. Definitely a good place to stop for anyone on a long-distance road trip down I-65; it's only about 5 minutes off the freeway.

Traveling from Northern Virginia on the way to Gulf Shores I passed by this place while looking for a gas station. Amazing pulled pork sandwich. BBQ is serious business in Alabama. Not sure how long this place has been open, but highly suggest making a stop if you're ever in the area.

Delicious pork sandwich - it comes on Texas toast, which was strange, but it worked. The cole slaw was lacking, though.

Very good, especially the brisket sandwich.
