I've never had a bad experience here, always a great one. The food is excellent, the staff are super courteous, the atmosphere is dark and comfortable and intimate. I repeat, the food is excellent. Really tasty.

My husband and I decided to try the outdoor seating on Friday. We noticed there must be a new chef. The food was pretty bland and tasteless. Our server Brandi was not that great either. Luckily there was another server Cassele who was serving another table and took great care of us. We were given gift certificates to come back. We came back Saturday. My husband had the corn chowder that didn't taste anything like corn chowder. I had the lobster flat bread and it was bland and over cooked. The food was still pretty bland and forgettable. They must have a new staff in the kitchen.

Jamie and I have been to several Seasons 52 restaurants in other cities, and we've always been thoroughly satisfied with every aspect of the experience. Unfortunately, the experience at Birmingham's Seasons 52 doesn't follow this trend. We've now been to this location twice, and both times we were disappointed. The food has been OK, but the service has been exceedingly awful. The first time we went was Mother's Day. Understandably, they were busy, but it seemed like no one did anything to prepare the restaurant for the extra load. Our meal took two and a half hours, not counting the time it took to be seated. We ordered no appetizers. Just entries and desserts. During that time, our server barely stopped by as drinks ran empty. We wrote it off, assuming that maybe someone didn't show up or something. Still a sign of poor management, but OK... Then yesterday, we went back for my wife's birthday. We figured a 6:00 reservation on a Monday would be a fair time to show up. We showed up early at 5:40, but the hostess seated us quickly and confidently. We waited and waited, watching the manager walk by our table several times, when finally a server named Daniel came to our table. He said he was not our server, but our server was helping another customer. He took our order for water and soda, and brought them to us a few minutes later. He also brought us a happy hour menu. He then changed the story, telling us our server wasn't able to clock in until 6:00. A while later, after the manager and everyone else in the restaurant walked by our table half a dozen times, our server Jeremy finally arrived. Jeremy's service didn't improve things much. Our drinks sat empty for about ten minutes at one point. During that time, Jeremy visited all of his other tables several times, but never stopped at our table once. Every time we go to Seasons 52, the check is over $100. For that price, you expect decent service. My recommendation is to go to another restaurant in the area. Almost all of them will give you a better experience.

Have been back here a few times since my three star review in 2013. I'm upgrading to a four star because their food and service is really good time after time. Flat bread pizzas are yummo and their steak and chicken are great too.

Good many choices. The hostess listened to us and explained several menu items. Tried their flatbread and shrimp - both were delicious. Desserts are a must try! Had a great experience and I hope u will too!

We has the carmelized scallops and the salmon entre. Both were very light but filling. Fair wine selection. Pricey but the service was great and we enjoyed the food.

My boyfriend and I went here to celebrate our anniversary and indicated this on the reservation. When we arrived our table was waiting along with a card thanking us for spending the evening with them. The service was wonderful, we had Lauren and she was attentive and great. I had the salmon and he had the trout, we enjoyed both very much. The evening was capped by a complimentary glass of champagne for both of us and a dessert of our closing. Not bad at all, we appreciated all that very much.

Wow We need to get one of these in Detroit! Outstanding! Food was amazing and the right caloric options without losing flavor or selection! Went with a large group and we started with app's... Flatbreads were amazing, others in group raved about Duck Wings and hummus was above average. Large wine selections and a wonderful environment for dinner (a wee bit dark but better than the alternative) Dinner choices varied throughout group... I went dinner salad, Greek withy chicken, it was awesome! Lamb chops were described as really good. Many had fish and all finished their plate with enthusiasm. Desert presentation was fun and varied and we all snagged a shot glass full of delicious treats. Key lime pie was mine and for 300 calories, it was worth it! Will come again! Only thing stopping a fifth star was wait service, bust but not full on a Tuesday = it should have been better and faster.

Went to Seasons 52 for dinner with a party of 5. Mostly older friends (over 80). When I made the reservation I requested a quiet spot. When they called to confirm my reservation I again asked for quiet. We were put in the middle of the large room next to the bar. The piped in music was obnoxious. There was a bass that was loud and thumping. Previously we had eaten in a front room that was very pleasant. Our server, Courtney, provided excellent service. She and everyone else we complained to about the noise level were very nice. My food was delicious. Had the chicken flatbread and the trout. Unfortunately my husband says we are never going back because of the noise.

I always order the same meal, the rainbow trout it's good and seems like they only thing they can cook right I had tried my husbands steak one time (it was awful) and my friends flatbread which was no better. Leaving me to stick with the same routine or just not eating here.

I had the roasted Branzino for lunch. Branzino, also known as Mediterranean Sea Bass, is a popular fish with white meat and a mild flavor. At Seasons 52, the whole fish (less the head) is oven roasted with thyme and lemon slices on the inside. My fish was small and thin, and it had a slight fishy smell. Smelly fish usually scream "I'm not fresh!" The fish was quite bland, and I would not recommend this dish. The desserts are presented in shot glasses. There are a wide variety of desserts, and I had the pecan pie. It was good, and the shot glass portion was just the right size for me. My overall impression of Seasons is it was just okay. It is a beautiful restaurant, and the service was adequate. The menu offers variety, but nothing stood out to me. In addition to my Branzino, our party shared several flat breads and the Ahi Tuna Tartare appetizer. Sadly, I thought the food was pretty average.
We happened upon Seasons 52 while traveling. Checked out menu and immediately bequeathed a table. The ambience was only surpassed by the delectable food and excellent service. If I lived there I would be a regular as would the other thy travelers. We will be back!!

Ask for Brian Lindsey for your server if you want a friendly smile, suggestions and good service. If your looking for a gourmet meal that is rich you probably won't find it here but you will find lots of other flavorful options and you can order a bunch to try and not feel the guilt.

I have been here several times. It has a good concept and atmosphere. I've never had a bad meal at Seasons 52 and have gone to sit at the bar and listen to the piano several times. Last night was not the best experience, however. We got there at probably 9:30 to sit at the bar and have a few drinks. It was not crowded at all and we were served quickly, at first. Then my glass sat empty for quite a while. I couldn't figure out what the bartenders who kept walking past me were doing because they seemed to deliberately not pay attention to me. Then I figured it out. One was eating behind the bar and trying to be sneaky about it by leaning down where he had his food stashed where the liquor bottles are. Then he and the others were doing tasks related to closing even though it was still a full hour before the restaurant closed. The eating bartender finally asked if I'd like another drink. There was a group of people down the bar he apparently knew and had begun to talk to. He grabbed my beer and went and stood with it in his hand for a couple of minutes before finally bringing it to me. Based on all my experiences combined I would definitely recommend Seasons 52 for the concept, atmosphere and food but I will not go to the bar again unless it's early in the evening because they clearly don't want you there if it's within an hour or so of closing. I hope this will be the only negative experience I have there. As another disclaimer about the service- every server I've ever had at a table in the past was awesome.. Not sure what's up with the bar.

Wonderful place to eat and know that you are eating healthy! The atmosphere is pleasant with a piano that is playing near the bar sometimes. It has never been too crowded and is good for all occasions! Wonderful place to eat!

The location and the atmosphere are great. It's one of those places that just looks like it has exceptional food. But honestly, your experience varies depending on what you order and when you come. If you stop by on a Sunday afternoon, the crowd is fairly small and there's usually no wait. I've never had an entree (quite pricey compared to the appetizers and desserts), but I've tried several flatbreads and each one has been excellent. The Grilled Chicken Skewer appetizer was outstanding as well. And their miniature desserts are perfect potions and great selections. If you stick with the flatbreads and appetizers and then select a few mini desserts, I'm sure you'll be very pleased with your evening--excellent flavor, selection, and overall value.

We decided to go Here for drinks after thanksgiving dinner. Our service was very poor. After 15 minutes at the bar the bartender took great care of us. We attempted to Order food from our waitress and the food never came. So We left. Although the atmosphere is good, I cannot recommend this place to Others because of the poor service.

We love this place for birthdays. It is a great place for a large group of friends. The food and service is usually really good! We go a lot so a few times it has t been great. But for the most part it's amazing. It's not cheap but totally worth it. They have delicious food and a great wine list. The desserts are the perfect size and there are so many delicious tastes to choose from. I love their salads! It's so neat how they bring them out in on a plate in a little plastic tube thing and when they remove the plastic tube thing, the salad is dressed. So neat. I love the salmon salad and the tuna salad equally. The salmon plank plate is also really good. They change the menu ever season and also have a weekly menu that changes. The flat breads are a great app to have to share for the table too. I really can't think of anything I don't like about this place. I recommend it.

You are guaranteed a healthy meal less than 500 calories here no matter what you order so for diet junkies like me, this is perfect. Just don't go blissfully happy with your credit card. It's overpriced for what its dishes are worth. My spring rolls were expensive and only for 4 pieces. The spicy chipotle shrimp flatbread was delicious! Order it and request a side of BBQ sauce. Don't waste your time with the rolls but stick to the flatbread and go $5 more to get a real entree dish. Otherwise, my experience here was decent.

Brandon was a great server. Not over pushy or bothersome but always there when he was needed. The chicken pesto flatbread was delicious. I had the Lamb which was cooked perfectly my only suggestion which is just preference is maybe not so many peppers in the vegetable ratatouille. My boyfriend had the scallops and he loved them. He never orders ocean type for so that saying a lot. The risotto that came with his meal I was rather jealous of it was so delicious and paired perfect. Our drinks were very well balanced and nice. The atmosphere was not what I would have expected. Love all of the wood. And last but not least the piano player was pretty darn good, not hokey or all the same sounding. Overall I am very impressed with this restaurant and will share my experience with others. Thanks for having us!

Season's 52 is always great!!! We ordered the stuffed mushrooms as our appetizer. They were fantastic! I ordered the Mahi Mahi with green beans and mixed Brocolli with mashed sweet potatoes. It was great!!!the fish was seasoned to perfection. My sweetie had the rack of lamb with potatoes and green veggies. He really enjoyed his entree as well. The lamb was nice and tender. They serve miniature desserts which is usually just enough to please your sweet tooth. We ordered the 2 mini pecan pies. It was so delicious!!!

For a chain restaurant, it's a favorite of mine! All local, natural and fresh ingredients! Flavors always meet my expectations and presentation is appealing and beautiful! Nothing on the menu is over 475 calories. Lovely warm atmosphere. Romantic place to dine with your special person. Highly recommend!! Love Seasons 52

We enjoyed lunch today...Entree salad crabmeat wedge and flatbread with prosciutto and asparagus...both outstanding as was our server Benji! My dining partner also enjoyed a glass of Chardonnay and one of the drool worthy desserts...both delectable according to her. Love coming here for great food, service and atmosphere. Can't wait for our next visit!

Always enjoy coming here. Service is always top notch. Food is equally fantastic! Great atmosphere especially when they have the piano and singer going. I definitely suggest trying Seasons 52. And don't forget to try some of their dessert shooters! Planning a special anniversary or birthday dinner? Call in a reservation and let them know, they'll set you up with a couple nice surprises!

This place is fantastic. It has a fun atmosphere and i especially recommend sitting in the bar area. The food and service are both superb, and the desert is truly the icing on the cake. The deserts are the perfect size and will satisfy your sweet tooth without having to waste a half of a piece of chocolate cake (like at most other places). I highly recommend this place for a date night or and special occasion. Be sure to make a reservation!

One of the best happy hours in Birmingham! I'm not usually into chain restaurants but this place has a great happy hour with good food options and very good service. The happy hour prices are great, so you're able to try a lot of different options on their happy hour menu. The menu changes with the seasons, so you're always up for a new experience. If this were a local restaurant I would give it 4 stars, but because it's a chain (not a fan of chains), I'm giving it a 3.

I've been here twice so far and both times have been a positive experience. My only complaint is that they tend to overcook the veggies. The broccoli with my pork was wilted, and the carrots with the sea bass I ordered the first time I came were overcooked. The flat breads are excellent and the salads are fresh. It's nice to have a salad that is more than ice berg lettuce and croutons.
I have been to multiple Season's 52 across the country. I was surprised when I saw some of the reviews for this location as Season's 52 has always been a solid meal. This restaurant was definitely lacking flavor and speediness. The lump crab appetizer salad was dull in flavor and lettuce was brown. Cedar plank salmon ( which is usually my go to) was flavorless and over cooked. Salmon should be medium and pink. This was over cooked and white. Unfortunely, I will not go back to this location.

The chain has great healthy, low calorie food and nice decor. The service can depend on server but the flatbreads are delicious. The Ahi Tuna salad was very good and had fresh greens. I would avoid the risotto in general; lacks seasoning and consistency of texture is not up to par.

Amazing food, great service! Really pricy but so worth it..be prepared to drop close to $100 for two people (apps and desert included). All the menu items are fresh and flavorful..absolutely loved it!! We will definitely be going back!!!

I've been to Seasons 52 in Atlanta before and remember really enjoying it, so when I learned that we were getting one in Birmingham I knew I had to try it. Either my taste buds have grown since then or we ordered the wrong items or it just isn't that great anymore. We ordered the hummus and stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer. Honestly, the Sabra hummus that you can buy at the grocery store gives this one a run for its money. The stuffed mushrooms were good, but lacked a little in flavor. We also got the chipotle shrimp and pineapple flatbread which was pretty good. Enjoyed the combination of flavors in this dish. The service and environment are great. We were offered samples of flatbread while we waited for our table. I love the concept too with all dishes being under 475 calories. If I went back, I definitely would go for the flatbreads. I think we are a little spoiled here in Birmingham, with great local restaurants, that maybe this one lacked the flavors we could get somewhere else.

Wow the review below about food being given to the wrong table and being touched and then served to the correct table has me tripping out! Disgusting! So visited here for lunch recently - love the healthy options and the variety. Me and my girl friend split the turkey wrap and chicken caprese sandwich - caprese was very tasty - anything w mozzarella and tomato I'm a fan of for sure! Turkey wrap was also good but probably wouldn't be enough for a man. Loved the apple cole slaw side - so crisp and flavorful! Will definitely have to try this place for dinner and explore the menu!

Here's an update. I tried this place again. I was hoping that I was wrong with my original review after reading so many positive reviews on this site. Unfortunately my opinion is still negative. My original review stands as written. My wife and I got only so-so service. As we walked into the restaurant the servers had an argument about who would seat us at our table. It was very obvious that many people on the waitstaff really didn't want to be there. We ordered the flatbread which was superb. Unfortunately it's really the only edible thing in the restaurant. I ordered the chicken. It tasted like it had been frozen and thawed out. There was no seasoning on it and it was very poorly prepared. I couldn't eat it. It came with mashed potatoes that had no flavor. Now I realize that the theme of the restaurant is to keep the calories low. Mashed potatoes makes the calorie count go up. You also can't add cream, butter or milk to them. But my question is why serve them in the first place if they taste terrible? If you let me in the kitchen I will prepare a meal that is low-calorie but tastes great. Why can't they? My wife and I agreed we won't go back. I had some friends go a few days later and they all agreed that they will never go back. We are all mystified as to why people are writing such good reviews of this terrible place on yelp. Two stars only for the flatbread.

My wife, kids and I ate here on a whim and we were so surprised. The atmosphere was wonderful. The restaurant is very clean and the staff very friendly. There was a live performer playing the piano and singing classic songs near the central bar area. The menu changes thru the seasons and each week there is a new weekly item. I had the scallops and broccoli, my wife had the tilapia, and the kids had a pizza and chicken strips. All of it was delicious and gourmet. The plating was beautiful and the serving size reasonable. (not to small). We did not try a dessert but do look forward to returning again!

Ordered the Bronzino fish dish. Asked that the fish be cooked well-done while describing the result expected to the waiter. After quite a wait , food arrived being far from being well-done. It was more on the wet slimy side. Asked for the fish to be cooked further. After approx. 10-15 min with no sign of arriving & fellow customer finishing their meal, cancelled the order. No apology or mgr, was charged for a coffee & small fruit parfait Typical service from this restaurant. It's really a clown act masked with silly pretentious attitude

Superb! My wife and I ate here yesterday before watching a movie. (the Hunger Games) First off, the staff of this establishment is on point. Everyone from the Hostess to the GM did their jobs magnificently. This was my first time eating here, so I was a bit unfamiliar with the menu. Luckily our server (Murat) took the time to go over it with me. Long story short, excellent service and we will return. Thanks again!!!

The evening started rough with slow customer service at the bar and at our table. The server didn't show for 15 min but Daniel jumped in to take care of us until then. The manager gave us a free bottle of wine vs two glasses to compensate. Service improved at the end including a happy anniversary card. Good job in making up for slow service at the start.

Walking in the door is a feast for the eyes. There's a piano bar right in the middle of the room. The guy can really sing. I enjoyed the food. It was really good especially the stuffed mushrooms. I had a chocolate\expresso martini ($12.95). The first one was good. I had four and each one got weaker. Next time I'll go with wine

This was my first time to eat at Seasons 52. I did not have a reservation. This is the first restaurant, that takes reservations, that did not make me feel unwelcome by not having one. They never even asked if I had a reservation. Everyone from the hostess, to my server Lana, and the Manager Jay provided amazing service. The food was fantastic. Seriously the flatbread is off the hook. I also loved the individual servings for dessert.

Atmosphere was great! Calm, relaxing and not loud. The flights and flat bread during happy hour is yummy and great deal. Food was wonderful and love the smaller portions. I wanted to try every single one of dessert's in cute little glasses. One of my favorite parts were drinks from bar. The cucumber basil smash was so good and refreshing. We sat at the bar after dinner just to see bartender make that drink. Highly recommend!

When I came here I must admit this place looked nice. They had a live piano singer who played top 40, the staff was nice and hospitable, and everything seemed like it was going to be a good time. The food...was ok at best. It just wasn't worth the money. They thrive on having fresh seasonal choices with every meal being under 475 calories. Half the food for double the price. The drinks here were the same as everywhere else, just more expensive. My mashed potatoes were very lumpy, and I am almost positive they gave me frozen raw green peas. They have really good salads, if you want to spend $16 on a salad. The flat breads were ok.

We had a business meeting with 18 people in the Sonoma Room. The room was great for meeting and rehearsal dinners. Very quiet for the busy restaurant. We used the projector and the screen and being a techie kind of person I was pleasantly surprised everything worked flawless. Our hostess was friendly. Being a group of event professionals we asked about a few things that Seasons 52's are known for and the two meeting rooms are available individually or can combined, easily seating 60 to 70 people. Some of our group had the Double Hummus & Crisp Sea Salt Lavosh and Artichoke & Goat Cheese Flatbread for appetizers and everyone enjoyed them. We were there about 30 minutes networking and eating appetizer before we were seated to order. Once we ordered it took about an hour to get our food. I ordered the Oak-Grilled Filet Mignon (medium) with no red wine sauce. I substituted broccoli for the asparagus because I am a broccoli connoisseur . I also ordered a tea with my meal which never came. The steak was good but not great. I came out well with no pink and a little overcooked but still tender. The mashed potatoes were also missing from the plate. The broccoli was overcooked with a few brown spots among the eight spears. For a $30 + Gratuity meal I expected a little more than 8 to 10oz filet and broccoli. I guess it is my fault for not asking the waiter more questions about the menu. A few other tidbits: My friend sitting to my right was a vegetarian and mentioned this when ordering but the waiter never said anything about the vegetarian and vegan menus available. The food runners were unsure where to place the entrees and placed two plates of sushi down in front of a couple of about 7 or 8 minutes before the rest of entrees arrived and walked away. We asked around the room and found out they had been ordered as entrees by a couple of people on the other end of the room. Seemed a little disorganized for the food being brought out. The presentation of the entree' salads in the plastic circles on the plates were nice. It impressed many of our event professionals. The atmosphere in the main dining room was dark and intimate. I understand from someone who had been there before that the desserts are excellent but we were never asked about or shown a dessert menu. Overall I would recommend checking online for their current menu and studying the different offerings before visiting if you are a finicky eater. One thing that really impressed me was a small act by a back of house employee. Not the front line people that should be friendly but this gentleman (who was dressed as a chef/assistant) and I were washing our hands in the men's room. We were about to walk out when he turned to me asked if I had eaten yet or was waiting to order. After saying I was about to leave he asked if I enjoyed my meal and what I had. He thanked me for coming in and hoped I would come back and try the restaurant again. Sometimes it these little moments that can change your impression of a place or influence your decision to comeback for another try.

Great salad and flat breads. Not the best value as prices are a bit high in general and wine prices are really high at the lower end of the spectrum. Overall a nice setting with fresh, lighter fare.
Love the concept of healthy food in a nice restaurant. Everything I tried was well prepared and tasty, especially the desserts.

Super friendly staff introduces themselves and calls you by name the entire meal in a welcoming, not cheesy, way. Food looks and tastes very fresh for a "chain" resturaunt. Plenty of room at each table so you don't feel like the people next to you are in on your conversation. Extensive wine list, fresh cusine, gluten free selections and all entres in the 500 calorie range. Nice to pick from an entirely healthy menu without having to dodge the stuff you really want to eat!

What I like at Season's 52 - I like. But what it's lacking is very noticeable. I like the concept of the limited calories and the fact that the menu changes with the seasons, but not being a meat eater puts me in a more limited category here than most places. I do eat fish and it's not much of an option here. The salmon dish is just not that great...expensive w/one or two roasted veggies and maybe a roasted potato. With what you get, that price should be slashed pretty significantly. The jicama slaw is NOT good at all! Some of the soups are pretty good. I end up having to eat a salad, which is really good, flatbread or veggie or fish tacos - which gets somewhat old. Not having a good fish option causes me not to go to a place frequently. Menu needs improving!

The Zinfandel that we selected may have been a bit over priced at 10.25 a glass however it paired well with the carmelized sea scallops and oak grilled filet mignon that we selected all were cooked to perfection. The filet was moist and had en excellent flavor with a glaze that made the mushrooms and potatoes taste amazing with a nutty finish. The sea scallops wer perfect and very flavorful. For dessert they offer small shot glass style desserts that pack a ton of flavor into every bite and at 2.50 a piece they are well worth it. You can not go wrong here. Outstanding job Seasons 52 I look forward to many many more meals with your polite and attentive staff.

Service was good..food was delicious. Flatbread is a must-order. Everything on menu looked good though so I must return. Wine list was noted to be excellent..I was there for lunch. Being my mother's birthday, the server brought a tasting of each of their desserts..omg..good enough to go back for one or three of just the desserts! No joke. Clean restaurant.

Had dinner last week at Season's 52 and had a bad experience. I've come before and really enjoyed it, but everything seemed off the night we visited. Service was quite slow, and that really made the evening drag. When the food did finally arrive it was cold. Had it bit warm, I think I would have enjoyed it because it seemed well prepared. Will try again in a few months to see if this was just a one-off.

Great experience at Seasons 52! My server Meredith was amazing! She was very personable and overly friendly with my table. She had great recommendations including the cedar salmon and the snapper. We also loved the pesto flat bread. Would highly recommend Seasons 52 to anyone as well as our sweet waitress Meredith.

Stop at the flatbread. They can definitely do that right. Steak- boring, venison- menu inaccurately describes what you order from what you receive. Left out half your meal is actually a stew and not the chops you thought you ordered. The truffle mashed potatoes- if they added any truffle flavor at all, you missed it cause they were covered with onions. "kale caesar" isn't at all. it's a regular caesar, with a couple of leaves of kale. when the server brought it to the table, I said this isn't what I ordered, she said yes you did, the kale caesar, I said yeah, this is romaine... she didn't even know what kale looked like apparently...

I had forgotten how awesome is the southern hospitality. This place gets the five starts without a doubt. From the moment you come in the ambient is relax and with nice background music that allows conversation. The waiters are fantastic and always smiling and ready to make suggestions or bring what you need to the table. The food is impressive! I had the vegetarian sampler and couldn't get enough, it had quinoa with citrus, stuffed chile, a taco (which for me was my favorite) asparagus and tofu with mango chutney! All this accompanied with a great glass of castillero del diablo wine. This was quite an experience. If I hadn't been full I would definitively have tried their desserts.

Great concept ok food very poorly managed and borderline unprofessional for a higher end casual dining experience. The front desk and seating process always seems confused and disjointed. The staff seems directionless and carry on in the dining room like they are at some catering job? If they want to stay higher end in my opinion they will need to step up their game.

Filet was over cooked & took forty five minutes to get food. Price for the quality& quantity of food was below expectations.

First time at Seasons 52 on a Wednesday night. Service was great - Grant was excellent! The food was fantastic. Lobster flatbread and scallop entree were divine! Others in our party enjoyed rainbow trout and rack of lamb. He sampled several desserts and they were all great and perfect portion. Definitely will be back.

While I love the healthy food and know that everything is 450 calories or less, it's the service here that stands out just as much. We had ordered the wonderful fish tacos and chicken caprese for lunch, when the manager Jay came over and apologized for it taking longer than planned. He went above and beyond to make it up to us. While we always enjoy eating here for lunch or dinner, let's just say the service we received today made us very loyal customers. Thank you Jay!

Best restaurant ever . I loved the food , the service was perfect , I will recommend it to many people. If you want to have a good time in a perfect place , don't look around just go to SEASON 52

Ohhhh man... if only I could afford to eat here all the time, I totally would! Everything I've had has been noticeably fresh and prepared to perfection. Again, not that I've had the luxury of eating here often; my friends and I really only go if it's a special birthday or occasion, you know, when it's okay to feel flush with cash and get those drinks and little desserts with our shared apps & entrees! I've not regretted any money spent here, though, which says a lot. The service has been consistently above and beyond as well, always very attentive and impressively knowledgeable about each menu item and wine to pair with it -- yet not condescending when we choose to split menu items or bow out of a drink with the meal.

Been here numerous times and generally have a great experience. But, twice now have had the same brunette female bartender who basically us just a b@"ch. she has an attitude and has ruined a good time. She needs to get over her personal issues and smile.

We had an amazing meal. Service impeccable. Great wine list. I had the veal chop and my date had the filet. Both excellent good to perfection. Portions acceptable as well. Sunday night was the perfect time to go.

Wonderful food and service. Great wine selection. The quail was absolutely delicious.

I think there's a lot right about this restaurant. First, you have rather upscale cuisine with everything on the menu calorie-limited. And yet, lots of flavor and lots of satisfaction at the end of the meal. They have a really interesting approach to desert, given the calorie limits: Small quantities of rich deserts. It works. And, there's the whole "52" thing...a menu that changes weekly, at least in part, and seasonal specials. The servers are professional and well-trained. On the negative side, the CONCEPT of the restaurant, which involves fairly prolonged monologues on the part of the servers, is a bit intrusive and maybe a bit pretentious. For us, it's also a special-occasion place--it ain't cheap. Our party of 3 shared 1 appetizer, and each had an entree and a "mini-desert." With gratuity, $101 and change.

Glad to have it in Birmingham. I used to go here all the time in Miami. I love their healthy menu and deserts! If you're looking for cheese, chips, bread, fat...go to cheesecake factory across the street. Glad to have a place that offers a healthy menu. Prices were affordable for lunch (less than $10 bucks)! Great decor. Welcome to Birmingham!

If you're on a diet, this is the best upscale atmosphere type restaurant with guilt-free, tasty fare. Every menu item, & they mean EVERY, is less than 475 calories each. And they are tasty, not bland. The Chipotle Shrimp Flatbread is flavorful. My hubby had the filet, & it was very tender, juicy & full of flavor. I had the grilled chicken breast that had a delicious sauce with it. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Been here twice, and both time were just average. The good - both times the service was excellent. The servers were both friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. Drinks were a little slow from the bar, but it was a very busy night. The flatbreads are the best things I've had off the menu, but I wouldn't rate them excellent. Last visit for dinner I had the pork tenderloin. It was perfectly cooked to medium, but it was lacking in flavor. The tenderloin is one of the least flavorful cuts of pork, but it seemed it wasn't seasoned at all before going on the grill. The broccoli with it was overcooked and also lacking in flavor. I get they try to keep the meals under a certain calorie number, but some seasoning would be nice. Bottom line, if you're stuck at the Summit at supper time, and want something nicer than the standard strip mall chain places, this isn't the worst option. Definitely not a destination restaurant for me.

I love Seasons 52 where I live in California so I was excited to take a friend here for her birthday while visiting Birmingham - What a shock! The restaurant wasn't inviting as we entered and it went downhill from there. The waitress wasn't interested in anything or anyone. I had to yell to get her attention and at the same time another couple were waving their hands in the air for service. It was a Sunday afternoon and the place was almost empty and we still had poor service The manager was wandering around talking to the help instead of asking the customers for feedback or offering help. If I'm paying $70 for lunch for two I expect better service than provided. In addition the vegetables with the Cedar Plank Salmon were served in a cast iron skillet instead of being transferred to the plate - this isn't Cracker Barrel folks, get a clue!! For those of you who haven't enjoyed this restaurant in another town don't think this location is indicative of Seasons 52 - It's indicative only of the laziness of the staff they've hired in Birmingham

Summary: overly loud live music spoiled an otherwise pleasant dinner. The food: My wife ordered the grilled rainbow trout served with baby carrots and roasted potatoes. VERY GOOD. Our other guests opted for heavy appetizers and chose the spring rolls, the "Lump Crab, Roasted Shrimp & Spinach Stuffed Mushrooms" and a side of roasted asparagus. They stated VERY GOOD as well. I ordered ""Mesquite-Grilled Garlic Shrimp Spanish saffron-chorizo risotto", fresh tomato broth". It came with lightly cooked broccoli rabe. The shrimp was good, but not great and the risotto was sub-par. It seemed to have more of a creamy polenta character and a different, but not unpleasant flavor. It was over salted as well. Ask if they will substitute another side. I also ordered a baby spinach salad with raspberries and crumbled blue cheese. The server did not bring it before the entree as requested and she immediately came over and apologized after others brought out our entrees. She said she would bring it and would not charge me. It came a few minutes later and was good. So no points deducted there. We were shown the desserts but declined. No bread was served, probably in keeping with the less than 475 calorie theme. Wine: 3 of us ordered glasses. They are poured at the table and the server had good knowledge about all of them. She also explained that you can buy a bottle and take the remainder home. (I think this option varies according to local laws.) The experience: My sister was visiting from out of town and I expected a quiet dinner on a Sunday night at 6pm. What I got was a table adjacent to the bar which contained a SINGING PIANO PLAYER. I never would have expected that in a million years. When I couldn't hear the conversation I asked the server to move us or ask the player to tone it down. She said they would ask him to play and sing softer. And he did - for about 10 minutes. Then he returned to the previous volume and my mood was spoiled for the rest of the evening. Please note that he sang along with EVERY song; it was clearly not background music. The booth was a little snug for four adults. I don't know if this is just in the bar area or throughout. Another nice touch was that our guest wearing black was offered a black napkin. (Sometimes the white ones will leave you with a lap covered in lint.) Other: I really like being able to make a reservation and this was a special meal that deserved one. I made one by phone that was handled efficiently and was pleased to asked if anyone in the party had a food allergy (one did). I got an email confirmation and a phone confirmation the morning of the reservation. I also got an email survey after the day after the meal and I will respond. I may try to speak to the manager too. It's a nice restaurant and I want them to succeed. But the trend of loud music and loud restaurants has got to stop. Give them a try but ask if live music is on that night. I'll probably opt for Village Tavern next time.

I can't think of anything that could have improved our experience. Our waiter, Brian, was very helpful in explaining the menu and helping with our wine selection. I chose the scallops, and my husband had the rainbow trout. Both were delicious, as was the flatbread appetizer! We will definitely be returning.

Good food + outstanding service = great experience! We went to Seasons 52 for lunch, and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I like this chain restaurant. The food was fresh, well-proportioned for healthy eaters, and very tasty. Our waitress Brittany provided exceptional service. I will definitely go back! Lunch prices ranges from $8-$14/entree.

We celebrated my mom birthday. My brother and his wife came from Atlanta, GA The food was awesome! My really enjoyed the appetizers. Our waitress Amy was very accommodating.
(5)Sam D.
Good many choices. The hostess listened to us and explained several menu items. Tried their flatbread and shrimp - both were delicious. Desserts are a must try! Had a great experience and I hope u will too!
(5)Thomas J.
We has the carmelized scallops and the salmon entre. Both were very light but filling. Fair wine selection. Pricey but the service was great and we enjoyed the food.
(4)Tiffany C.

I love Seasons 52 in Miami...and I love it all the same in Birmingham! This restaurant chain not only had great food, but awesome service. Bravo!
(5)Kyler R.
I always order the same meal, the rainbow trout it's good and seems like they only thing they can cook right I had tried my husbands steak one time (it was awful) and my friends flatbread which was no better. Leaving me to stick with the same routine or just not eating here.
(3)Paul C.

Dishes that taste good and are healthy? Yes please! I love the idea of this place. Often when you go out you consume so many more calories than you can imagine. Here everything is under a certain calorie level (450? 500? It's on the menu). This way you can eat out and not break the calorie bank! Also, the menu changes every week. I have no idea how they manage that, but it makes everything fresh! I decided instead of getting one entrée I'd get a ton of appetizers (which promptly killed the low calorie idea). I got the braised short rib flatbread, edamame, hummus, and vegetable soup. I ended up taking over half home. The braised short rib flatbread was delicious. I would definitely suggest always getting a flatbread. The edamame had green tea sea salt, which was a beautiful touch. I loved the green tea flavor. I wasn't that big a fan of the hummus. It came with two different types of hummus. One tasted bland and the other wasn't that appealing to me. The soup was good, but nothing to write home about. This place is packed! I would definitely suggest getting a reservation. I tried to come once before and it was a 45 minute wait! This time I had a reservation and it seemed just as full. The restaurant is beautiful. It is dark and has a rich look about it. My server was fantastic. She even gave me a card so if I came back I could request her. Often servers don't know what to do with a person dining alone, but it didn't faze her one bit. I would definitely come back next time I'm in Birmingham.
(4)Jim N.
We happened upon Seasons 52 while traveling. Checked out menu and immediately bequeathed a table. The ambience was only surpassed by the delectable food and excellent service. If I lived there I would be a regular as would the other thy travelers. We will be back!!
(5)Elizabeth F.

(3)Beth D.
Wonderful place to eat and know that you are eating healthy! The atmosphere is pleasant with a piano that is playing near the bar sometimes. It has never been too crowded and is good for all occasions! Wonderful place to eat!
(4)Richard R.
I had the filet mignon and it was delicious. The place seems very classy. I will return.
(5)Jacob W.
(4)Hise G.
(2)Sheri P.
(5)Ee Vonn Y.
(3)Shannon T.
(4)Cheryl R.
(5)Sheri C.
(4)Jeff P.
(5)Marva R.
Our family ate here and we loved it. Drinks, food, dessert, service, and atmosphere were all great.
(5)Eddie L.
(5)Michelle T.
(5)Lesley S.
(3)nathan w.
(4)K W.
What can I say... I don't think I will be returning to Season's 52 any time soon. We had a work dinner here recently and it was not good. The wine list was not up to par. We got 3 different bottles and none of them were good... also, there were no options from $65 until about $100, it was an odd gap and that gap is usually where you find some very good bottles of wine. The service was ok, our waitress had too many tables though and was generally seen scrambling throughout the night and made our dinner take forever. I get that this is a more health and calorie conscious concept restaurant, but if I'm not worried about those things then shouldn't I have options? I ended up getting the filet without the mushrooms and rice as my side instead of potatoes. It was ok, but over priced for what I got and the quality of it. I was just generally hungry when the meal finished however, I'm not a big person and I wasn't full after my entrée. My co-workers complained about this as well. The Pecan Pie Mousse is really the only good part of the meal and honestly I just wanted more of it... those mini tasters are such a tease! I don't think I will return to a Season's 52 any time soon. I don't think I'm the target demographic for this chain, and if I am, it's a total miss!
(3)Denver G.
(3)Sam L.
The chain has great healthy, low calorie food and nice decor. The service can depend on server but the flatbreads are delicious. The Ahi Tuna salad was very good and had fresh greens. I would avoid the risotto in general; lacks seasoning and consistency of texture is not up to par.
(4)Angelica B.
Amazing food, great service! Really pricy but so worth it..be prepared to drop close to $100 for two people (apps and desert included). All the menu items are fresh and flavorful..absolutely loved it!! We will definitely be going back!!!
(5)Vasu M.
(3)Amber R.
The man that sits at the bar and plays the piano is fantastic! Great healthy and tasty food.
(5)Rachel A.

Great atmosphere great food. I highly recommend the Cedar-Plank Roatsed Salmon...Oh and reservations.

Our food was ok.. A solid 3 1/2 stars but our server was amazing! Ask for Leon he will not steer you wrong on recommendations or service. We came in a peek hours and he took care of us like we were his only table.

I also loved the individual servings for dessert.

not a fan. too corporate feeling. happy hour has a live musician right in the middle of the bar. weird. and loud. not a fan of the food selections. interesting business model but wasn't impressed with the choices. targets business travel or out of town shoppers. meh.

The entrees weren't too great for our group but service, appetizers and desserts were amazing. Quick to get a table.

This is my second time at this seasons 52. I had been to a seasons 52 in Miami, and was more impressed with the food. From the start, the wine tasted like metal due to the fact that it was not stored properly. I had to send it back. The tuna appetizer was good. The flatbread appetizers were good.two out of the five main entrées were subpar. The quail dish also tasted like metal. It was very difficult to remove the taste from our mouth. The vegetarian sampler was interesting, but tasteless. The desert cups looked interesting, but the taste was less than adequate. One of my sons dessert cups actually smelled like dirty dish water. The waitress constantly pushed us through the meal. This is obviously a high-volume and low-quality establishment. I would support the local restaurants surrounding this restaurant and not go back.

Love the concept of healthy food in a nice restaurant. Everything I tried was well prepared and tasty, especially the desserts.
(4)Andrew M.

Opening night no better service anywhere in town!!! Food was incredible. Jaie the manage best customer service I've seen in my 22 years of being in the food and beverage industry ! Angela my server was outstanding actually knew the menu and could recommend good and wine!! Won't hesitate to go back with friends.

This was best meal in Birmingham I've had in a long time. Everything was great from the appetizer to the dessert. The staff was extremely professional. I like the modern decor too. We sat inside but they have a nice patio area too. Highly recommended.

(5)Christy S.
(5)Myriam S.
Best restaurant ever . I loved the food , the service was perfect , I will recommend it to many people. If you want to have a good time in a perfect place , don't look around just go to SEASON 52
(5)Jenn G.
(5)Paul K.
Been here numerous times and generally have a great experience. But, twice now have had the same brunette female bartender who basically us just a b@"ch. she has an attitude and has ruined a good time. She needs to get over her personal issues and smile.
(2)Todd H.

(4)Jennifer S.
(4)Jim B.

Worth it. Really enjoyed my meal from beginning to end.

We went during the "soft opening" and absolutely loved it. Food, service and wine selection were all amazing. Looking forward to our next visit.
