Wonderful little place. We stopped In For breakfast while visiting Birmingham & we weren't disappointed. Bacon, egg & cheese sandwich, a two egg plate & drinks for $12.07! We will definitely visit again to try their lunch as well.

A block or two from City Hall, Rosato's does a good lunch business (they have a breakfast menu too) with the office workers in the area. The three person team working the orders, grill and register aren't the speediest but it is well worth whatever wait you might encounter. Deli meat sandwiches include ham, turkey, roast beef, pastrami and corned beef. Served up in different combinations named after various automobiles - Ferrari, Fiat, Lancia - and available in either hot or cold. I've had two sandwiches from here this week and both were quite large. Toasted bread with a big pile (half a pound?) of turkey and ham in the Ferrari. Good quality meat - the sign says Boar's Head and that's about as good as it gets. There's a cooler with some canned sodas and a Pepsi fountain as well. Good food, prepared fresh and at a decent price. I like Rosato's!

Wonderful vegetarian fast food option! Got the eggplant parmigiano sandwich and it was both large and delish. The flies are steak cut and have a nice seasoning on them. They offer juicy lemons with their soft drink options, which I appreciate. The place has a great family owned vibe and they are always friendly.

Nice staff, much like others have said here. I ordered the name-sake sandwich, the Rosato. It was toasted and delicious. Also ordered the potato salad and a bottle of Pellegirno. A great $10 lunch being that I was in B'Ham for the day at the EY office. I highly recommend it if you are in the Regions/EY office. Walk and grab a sandwich and regroup in the park across the street. A nice 30 min break...don't just take it back to the office like I did. You can sit in the restaurant too.

Very convenient to courthouse, Linn Park, Park Place Tower and the Harbert Center. Excellent food and service. They use quality Boarshead products. Highly recommend!

Several visits later, and it's definitely time to update this rating. Rosato's continues to serve up classic, tasty sandwiches for equally pleasing prices. The house Reuben continues to be my hands-down favorite - and the 1/2lb. size is a BIG sandwich. Each sandwich is made to order behind the counter, the hot ones getting the grill treatment right then and there, and by the time I get back to my desk in my office, the sandwich is still warm - mmm! The New Yorker was a bit too much corned beef for me, but not a bad experience in the least. I also enjoyed their take on a Philly cheese steak, which, though listed with other 1/2lb hot sandwich offerings, is definitely smaller, but the price includes a side and drink. There's also a muffaletta on the menu, and that is yet another massive sandwich packed with big flavors - the olive salad being particularly good. Make sure you have plenty of napkins on hand though, because that one is generously doused in olive oil. Earlier in the day (Rosato's opens up at 7am), drop in to try the omelet plate. Piled with melty cheese and chopped veggies, it's a delicious breakfast to start the workday.

The fiat sandwich was delicious! Great service and great downtown location next to the park. Pay them a visit!
