I used to go to this place until multiple bad experiences. Food in general was ok. Portions were unpredictable since one day it's plenty, next day it's enough to feed a small child. One time we were having friends over at our place and placed a large order. When arrived one of the soup was wrong. When we called back, they asked if we opened the soup and asked to return. Now that made me question, who's getting this cold, 2 hour old soup? But it wasn't until me and a friend were there for a lunch. As usual I would order their Mongolian beef, which was piled with fillers and what it seem to be a hot egg roll. Until I bit into it and realized it was still frozen inside. I told the wait staff, they took it back, few mins later they brought another one, this time I cut open put my finger inside and again, it was cold inside. I than had it taken back, same thing. Finally after 4 times they took $2 dollars off the bill and never got a hot egg roll. I also figures out why I got sick couple of times eating their. Probably because if these uncooked egg rolls. All I can say is those of you still going check your egg rolls to be sure they aren't frozen. Also, I've now found a better Chinese which is across the street, Rice Lovers. Owners are much more friendly and their egg rolls and spring rolls are awesome!

Excellent stir fried tofu aka family style bean curd. The shrimp fried rice is also very good. It's hit or miss on the weekend nights but consistently great during the week! Did I say delivery!!

Excellent food and outstanding service. Nice dining environment. We ate lunch and had the Sweet and Sour Chicken and the Almond Chicken. The tea, egg drop soup and egg rolls were all very good. The entrees were excellent and we will return to this location when we want good Chinese cuisine.

Great food, big portions, a bit expensive for the area though (their competitors are a few dollars cheaper per dish). They do mail out coupons, which are nice. Great service and a very nice manager.

Pretty standard Chinese food. Cheap and they can make most items vegetarian if you ask.

My favorite Chinese restaurant! I always get the Seafood combination and shrimp fried rice and usually share with whoever I am with.

Took way too long. The only thing I should've had was the rice. The General Tso Chicken looked just like the Orange Chicken that they gave us instead of the Orange Beef. Both chickens tasted like batter and syrup. I wouldn't order anything from this place. It's nothing special.

I've always enjoyed my take out lunches from here. It's not necessarily a place that "wow's" me but I'm consistent with about a one time or every other time a month place to get lunch to go. I usually order the beef with peapods or Mongolian beef. I'm satisfied afterwards and look forward to the next lunch.

Try their crab rangoons! It was so good. They're well priced for the amount of food they give you. Their shrimp fried rice was pretty amazing. I just wish they give you more shrimp. They take about 45 minutes to deliver, so plan according

My wife and her family absolutely love this place and it is a pretty good bargain Chinese food place. The portions are generous and the service is pretty good. My kids loved it as well. The General Tso's wasn't my favorite but was still pretty good.

My family and I used to go here a lot when we lived in Alabama. We moved out of Alabama 13 years ago. We came back to visit Alabama this year for Spring Break and even after 13 years the food is just as good as we remembered! The chicken with sizzling rice is very good!

Our first foray into Chinese food since returning to Birmingham. We wanted to go to our beloved Mandarin House, but Hunan was much closer to our house. The restaurant itself is nice and clean. There weren't many people there, but it was around 1:30 P.M. The lunch menu features decent prices (around $7.00 per plate). I chose my childhood favorite, sesame chicken. It came with an egg roll and choice of soup. My hot and sour soup came in a surprisingly large bowl that left me half full before my food had even arrived. The soup itself was quite good. It wasn't as spicy as I would have liked it, but it was still very good. It would have been great on a cold day. My sesame chicken was pretty good. It came with a light breading (far lighter than the place we usually went to in Washington State) and a light sauce. It was very tasty, as was the rice and egg roll. I was only able to down half of it because of the soup and took the rest home with me. Service was friendly and attentive, but because there was only one other table, the wait staff just basically stood around most of the time. In any case, this is a decent Chinese restaurant worth going back to. Of course we'll have to try Mandarin House again and even the Chop Suey Inn across the street, but I would return here without hesitation.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
