Okay food (it's the standard generic unoffensive Mediterranean fare), but this is one of the better places to sit and relax in Trussville. Plenty of seating inside and out, and a cool little courtyard outside with a fountain, it's a very nice place to sit on a weekend afternoon with a book and a gyro plate. Good hummus & taziki, good gyros, okay burgers and chicken fingers. Their milkshakes and other ice cream dishes are pretty darn good (and hand made from real ice cream), and the mint tea is really great. Give it a shot for quick, inexpensive gyros and appetizers, but only if you happen to be in Trussville anyway, it's not worth a trip just for the food.

Nice hole in the wall restaurant. The food is AMAZING! Their chicken kabob plate is delicious. Great rice and vegetables. Get the taziki dip! You won't regret it! I could eat that chicken kabob plate everyday and be extremely satisfied! PS. Get the TAZIKI DIP!!!

We stopped by on a Sunday after church. We had the chicken kabab lunch special. It has changed from when remember it but its still good. It was four pieces of grilled seasoned chicken breast with grilled peppers and onions not really kabob style. It was delicious. It was served with humus, rice pilaf, fresh pita and a little salad. It came with a drink for $7.99 so you really cannot beat this for the price. From past experience the burgers and kafka are good too.

Okay. I love this place. I love all its greasy, salty, fart-inducing foods. No matter what I order, I always end up with a big fat grin of contentment. This is my comfort food place. It makes me happy.

While living in Center Point, my mom and I discovered this little gem. From the outside, you can't really tell that it's as good as it is. Their Greek food AND burgers are fantastic. If you're looking for a hearty burger, it beats Five Guys, honestly. The Gyro wrap is awesome. It's my favorite, along with the Tzatziki dip of course. If you're in the mood for authentic Greek, or a big burger, Gyros is the place to be.

I love the tilapia plate!!!! They have the best taziki dip that I've ever had. I sub the taziki dip for the hummus that comes with it.

Great place to eat in or take out! The chicken kabob plate is fantastic and their rice is so is yummy. I also like the chicken fingers and grilled chicken pita, too. Take out is always ready in less than 10 mins and their dine-in service is pretty quick. Great alternative to fast food for sure. This is a great fill-in for Al's Mediterranean Deli when you don't want to drive downtown. They also have a menu full of options so there is something for everyone.

I come here every Saturday before going to the movies and I have never been disappointed. The food is reasonably priced and absolutely delicious.I recommend getting a cheeseburger with cheese fries or some chicken fingers...two great options that will never disappoint.I really enjoy coming here and I think you will too,so go on then, give this place a try and you won't regret it!

Love this place! We live nearby and eat here often. We usually have the gyro, the kabobs, the Greek salad or sometimes the burger! All are delicious! If we call ahead for take-out, food is usually ready within 10 minutes!

This place is always a favorite of mine in the Trussville area. They've got a large selection of items, so it's unlikely that you'll leave unfulfilled. I love their veggie kabobs and taziki dip, as well as their chicken fingers. My husband likes their burgers and cheese fries. I will say that the one time I got a burger there, I found its seasoning to be a little overpowering and "wonky." (Hence the 4 stars) If you're a fan of Al's downtown, this is a good stand in if you don't want to drive that far.

There bathroom is awful but besides that it was ok the food was a little messy and there was lots of flys

Not in Trussville very often, but when I am--this is a delicious foodie stop! It's very divey, but don't let this discourage you. Stop in, get a gyro....or a salad! Very tasty!

Five stars for the best falafel in Alabama. The chicken fingers are perfect: juicy inside and crisp on the outside, no grease. They have yummy mint ice tea, which is better than typical Southern ice tea. Gyro's Cafe has the only ice tea I drink. This place is cleaner and just tastes better than the Purple Onion stuff and Al's.

Excellent food and great service. Large portion sizes too. Their Greek dressing was awesome!

Stopped in without reading reviews and very pleasantly surprised. I had chicken kabob dinner which came with hummus, pita, salad, and a veggie kabob and rice and a frit garnish for about $11.00. Jack had the gyros meal with drink and fries for about $8. Chicken was moist and well seasoned. Pita was very thin, possibly homemade. Hummus was good, salad fresh. No frills and styrofoam box to eat out of but still so yummiest. I had pistachio baklava and it was also fine. Fries were a little salty but otherwise it was speedy and good. I would return

Gyros Cafe is a nice little place to get mediterranean grub & it has a cool covered patio for outdoor seating with a little fountain as well. The gyro is good. So is the tilapia sandwich. The chicken & veggie kabobs are tasty too. Great owner & staff. If you get chicken fingers or French fries for your little ones be forewarned: let them cool off because they make everything fresh & these items are really hot most of the time. The baklava is a sweet treat as well.

Amazing food and wonderful staff. I'm there almost every week. I am addicted to their house dressing. Gyro sandwiches are great but the best thing ever is the corn nuggets. Oh my goodness the corn nuggets are great with everything. Very kid and group friendly. If you're in te area then you should definitely stop by.

Best gyro I have had since (wait for random comparison)...Okinawa. Seriously, this was the best Greek food I have had in Alabama (and extremely good prices).

This place is great. It's been a favorite of mind for the past 6 years-- the food is great, prices are even better and the staff is helpful as well. My favorites are the wings or a classic Gyro.

If you're a resident of the Trussville area like me, dining options can be fairly limited. Thankfully, Gyros Cafe is a place that I never seem to get sick of. The formula isn't particularly unique (it's basically the same as Al's or the Purple Onion), but it's got a great variety of Mediterranean and American food, and it's nice being able to find a good gyro without having to drive downtown. Whether I'm in the mood for a nice chicken kabob entree with hummus and a salad or just a simple burger and fries, it's always satisfying. I literally eat here once a week. The only complaint I can think of is unlike the aforementioned Al's and Purple Onion, they aren't open 24 hours.
