Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

We chose to eat here because bikers were blocking the entrance to the Chinese restaurant next door. The food and service was very good. The food was more Mexican than Tex-Mex; lighter and more enjoyable.

Got my order completely wrong, over salted meat, weird cheese (?) sauce, carrots in the Spanish rice? Not impressed... We were a large group, so it took a while to get food out, but that's ok. I probably won't be back. Looking for something more authentic. I'll keep looking.

Love this Mexican restaurant! Great food and service! Staff is friendly and we eat here every week at least once!

I have been eating in this place for years. The food is not too bad. Nothing special, but the value for price paid was good. Recently, I have noticed a decline in the portions. Especially, the chili rellenos. Instead of a stuffed pepper they just lay a strip of the pepper over the stuffing. Clearly they are trying to skimp and save a cost. I have complained, but they keep doing this. That is just one example. The size of all the items have "shrunk" i.e. the tamales. The side order guacamole salad is a joke. It contains maybe 2 tablespoons of guacamole. The rest is lettuce. A complete ripoff. Makes me wonder if i will return or look for a new Mexican place. Hope they read this and return to the way they used to be. If not its adios!

Good solid choice for your money. Consistent fare at a good price. You won't leave hungry. Their shrimp soup is very, very good and they will do special requests if you ask like changing standard ingredients -adding or removing other items if you like. Their Mango agua fresca is delicious. Their fish tacos are also good as are their other seafood dishes.

El Cazador is pretty solid as far as Mexican Restaurants go. They have a very extensive menu and the food is always good. Their queso blanco is better than many of the other places in town. Its very thick and rich. So thick in fact that my two boys often end up with pieces of chip stuck around their mouths like maize tile work. The food is always consistent and above average most Mexican joints. They actually have some phenomenal soups. My only real complaint is that the service is not very good for a Mexican restaurant (on the other hand, they don't fill your glass every time you take a drink, either) and the men's restroom is someplace that you don't want to set your kids down. We don't eat here too often because there are two other Mexican places close to our house that are top notch, but its not too hard to find "buy one combination plate get one free" coupons for this place, which definitely make it worth a stop. Plus I always get pictures of my kids covered in cheese and chips.

Really solid cheap Mexican. I honestly believe it's better quality than Habanero's (The most popular local place). Habanero's has really lost a lot of quality lately and there's no way I pay their prices with this only about a mile away. Not my absolute favorite Mexican place around but very convenient for me. I would agree with the earlier review- it may be a 3 star on food but the 5 star prices give it a 4 star average.

This establishment has okay service and below average food, but generally decent for the money. Be careful to keep up with all of your belongings though. My wife walked out without her bluetooth headset, walked back in to retrieve it within 3 minutes of having walked out and it was gone. Only it wasn't gone because her phone continued to connect to it. The management staff did absolutely nothing to assist her which resulted in her calling the police. Honesty and integrity in operating a business...completely absent. I highly recommend you NEVER visit this business.
