Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

Loved the salsa! I was also glad to see that their vegetarian menu had more than just cheese items unlike other restaurants. I got the Spinach fajita and it was pretty big for the price. I did not leave hungry at all. The staff were nice and worked together to make sure that their guests were well attended. I love seeing teamwork at restaurants and hope that will never change! Additionally, the bathrooms were clean, so that is also a plus.

Good margaritas and that's just about it. Salsa was just purred. I've had their fajita's before and they were alright. A good place to get a margarita, that's about all I can say.

Not particularly impressed with the service or food. It's a typical Mexican restaurant, nothing special. I wished I had read some of the other reviews before dining here. The food was okay.

Great service, great food, fast food. Very clean place. Staff constantly cleaning while we were eating. They even cleaned the menus. Very courteous. Would bring friends and family here.

Service is prompt, and they are very courteous. Food is good, depending on what you order. I recommend the burrito relleno.

What a rip-off! I went to lunch with a colleague, and I ordered the Chimichanga, which I've ordered before, and it was pretty good. My colleague ordered a chicken soup, but asked to have three steak tacos, with a side of avocados and some cilantro. The meal was pretty good, and then we got the bill. We were charged à la carte, and each taco was $5, the avocados, 4 slices, were another $5, and $2 for the cilantro. They charged us $40 for the meal. Although I enjoy the food there, no longer will I go there. Hope they enjoy that money, because it's the last they will ever see from me, and I take large groups there to eat from work.

Very standard. Very bland for Mexican food. Made for mass production not quality. As a transplanted Texan this is not what it should be.

You know, it's a pretty typical Mexican restaurant chain.

One of the better places to eat in the Bessemer/McCalla area, but it doesn't do much more than any other Mexican restaurant as far as food and prices in the Birmingham area in general. I would say the service is above average, the atmosphere is great, and it is very family friendly.

Not as good as other Habanero's throughout Birmingham. I've visited this place twice and neither time has the food been good.
