This is the best sushi place in Auburn. Everyhing was good from the soup and salad to the entree. Only place i go to for chinese food.

The teriyaki chicken and steak is good. Maybe a little pricey but food is good. Attitudes of employees could be better! I would recommend this restaurant. Good takeout restaurant.

Second time having lunch here. Miso soup was decent and pretty cheap, $1.55 for a cup. Ordered two rolls: Pink Lady Roll and Volcano Roll. Pink Lady Roll was nothing special and the Volcano Roll was just California roll with spicy imitation crabmeat and mayo, it's probably the better one of the two. The rolls are small.

Awesome Sushi!!! Quick service !! Dalton was a great waiter !!! Definitely worth a visit !!! Yummy!

Best sushi in Auburn! Everyone is so nice and the prices are decent. I recommend getting the Sunomono (salad) and the Philly Roll! You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu! I come here all the time and I always leave happy and (way too) full.
(5)Heather H.
Consistently good food. Always fresh. Have never had an issue in the many times I've visited. My husband and I normally start with the calamari. The latest visit we also got the miso soup since our youngest was with us and really wanted soup. The sushi is always good (I personally recommend the Shaggy Dog if you're not a fan of raw), and the sashimi platter is fantastic. They have a decent wine list as well as good mixed drinks. The kids love the teriyaki options as well.

I have been sick twice eating this food, and so has my roommate. I'm really not that picky of a sushi eater, but this is not good. I have gotten several menu items here, and have had decent experiences with this restaurant in the past, but it has gone downhill. Portions are small and the food is not fresh. It is fairly expensive too! Grocery store sushi is better. Do yourself a favor and go to Arigato- it's cheaper and tastier.

Very quick and tasty sushi. Very quiet but prices are a bit high for some of the "special" rolls. The service was good. Didn't have a glass less than half full. I would go again

The breading on the shrimp and vegetable tempura are layers you can peel off. The portions are miserably tiny. You can see most of the bottom of the tray and hardly any food. The hibachi steak was the only thing that not terrible but the meat was very dry. You had to drown it in sauce to get anything out of it. Just stick with the sushi.

It's vile .. Don't believe any of the "best in Auburn" garbage. Abomination rolls (cooked or slathered in some kind of mayo concoction) were moderately ok but we left all of the sashimi ... I don't think we've *ever done that. Being "the best in Auburn" doesn't mean it's worth going to.
(1)David B.
I've eaten there for lunch and taken my wife for Date Night. Friendly staff, great food, and well priced. I love that the menu shows which items contain raw meat. The Shaggy Dog Sushi Roll is wonderful !!
(5)Adam F.
I'm a bit of a sushi novice, but the girlfriend loves it. So, if she's in a bad mood..... Off to get sushi. Last night I gave in and tried real sushi, I had the Crunchy Shrimp Roll and the ginger salad. The salad was like any other ginger salad at any Japanese restaurant. Really liked the sushi though, I'll be back to try some other stuff soon.
(3)Lindsey G.
I've just recently started eating sushi, and Fuji is great! I have not been disappointed with the rolls I've tried. Ordering just two rolls is more than enough for me... I can even take some home and have a late night snack. I highly recommend Fuji to anyone in the area!
(4)R. W.
The sushi is good, not great. In my opinion, it's the best sushi option in the Auburn area. Service tends to be a little on the slow side, but servers are friendly. The Shaggy Dog Roll ($8.25) has been the best roll I've tried so far. The Tempura Kamikaze Roll ($6.25) is flavorful, but it's fried in tempura batter. By the time it got to our table, the fried batter had gotten a little soggy. The spring rolls are good. They have lots of flavor and a little crunch. The best thing I ate was the salad with creamy ginger dressing. The dressing is delicious!
(4)Shanny B.
Scooshi! I like the auburn tiger, spicy tuna, shaggy dog, shrimp tempura, pink lady rolls... to name a few. I wish they played traditional Japanese music but I guess there's nothing too traditional about Fuji. That's ok.
(5)Andi H.
4 stars, but against the big dogs barely 3. Out of the sushi places in Auburn this is the best. However, if people in auburn think this is amazing sushi they are sadly mistaken and should really get out more. But for a college town with hungry college student wanting a cheap bite into the new food fads this is the place to go. Must try: Their ginger salad dressing is amazing. I will give them that. Every time I have been its a must order. Skip: Sashimi. It's overpriced and obviously previously frozen and thawed. However, when your in the middle of Alabama, what can ya do? It's not bad but your better off ordering rolls. To order: The rolls are the way to go. Their dinners - such as sesame chicken etc are ok, if you don't like sushi you can go that route. Overall not bad. I didn't keel over afterwards so for sushi in Alabama I guess that is a success!
(4)Jane Y.
The food is always really good and fast. The salads are awesome (the Miso soup is pretty mediocre). Their sushi is all really good. I like to get the shrimp tempura roll. Their teriyaki meals are such a good value and are better than any Japanese steakhouse in Auburn. I go here about once a week.
(5)Julia S.
Meh. I make better vegetable sushi than what I got here, not to mention all they had that was vegetarian in terms of sushi was the "viggi" roll and the cucumber roll. Went here with a friend and colleague and he said his sashimi tasted fishy - but then again, this is Auburn, and I dunno where you could be expecting to get fresh fish. The waiter was nice, but the credit card machine went down. I never carry cash, so I was very fortunate my friend had cash on him, otherwise I don't know what we would have done. We also had to ask a couple of times before the waiter remembered to bring us water. The best thing about this place was that for I think only $4, they were very generous with my glass of plum wine - it was much fuller than most places would have poured it.
(2)Chelsea M.
So when my significant other told me that Fuji was going to make me O and that it was ballin', my response was something along the lines of, "Sure, I live on the Gulf Coast. What can your nearly landlocked state possibly produce in the raw fish market?" But produce it did. Mouth melting. Oh my God. Amazing. Go here. Second best overall dinning experience in Auburn. ps- They are speedy on ordering out, but the few times we have, the quality wasn't as good as eating in.
(5)Dee O.
Fuji is supposed to be the best sushi in Auburn. Cheap? Yes. Best in Auburn? It may sadly be true. I went to this place with high expectations and was very disappointed by the quality of the food. I drove by Fuji almost every day for two years on my way to and from work. Probably ate there a total of 3 times. My recommendation is to drive to Montgomery or Columbus GA for decent sushi.
(2)Lindsay S.
I eat Fuji once a week. I have always loved sushi and japanese food so it was an obvious choice for me when I came to Auburn, but Fuji's secret is in their teriyaki shrimp sauce. The chicken teriyaki is fantastic and a lot less expensive than ordering sushi and every part of it really is great quality and so delicious. It comes with an egg roll, spring roll, rice, vegetables, and chicken. I always mix the rice and chicken (and sometimes vegetables) together and then cover it in shrimp sauce. SO GOOD. I also the love Candy Cane roll, but this is by far the best thing on the menu. Service is quick, but sometimes you can't understand the waiters and a few of them don't look like they want to be there. Doesn't stop me though. Every week. I love it.

I have not been to all the sushi places in town, so I can't claim that this is the best... but for all the one's that I have been to (4), this is the best. The meat is pretty fresh, and that says a lot. The prices are reasonable, but you know that if you wanted sushi, you'd be paying a premium for it this far inland. Great rolls are the snow white and tiger. The spicy tuna roll is pretty good, it's not the completely ground up tuna, it's chunks.
(4)Ken K.
My wife is a sushi snob and usually only lets me go to places where we sit at the bar and the sushi chef's speak Japanese. One night, I convinced her to try Fuji's and she actually liked it! The Shaggy dog was our favorite.
(4)Elliott C.
IMO Auburn's best sushi place, a lot of sushi in auburn is so horrible it makes you not want to try anything else in fear of the same old crap. Fuji is the only place that I know that makes decent sushi for a decent price. They have most of the regular rolls that people who aren't huge into sushi can get as well as a myriad of other stuff for the hardcore. The service is great and normally it isn't too packed, except Wednesday nights.
(4)Aric S. Q.
horrendous. bad service, old fish. when I sent back three small pieces of obviously oily sashimi, the manager came over to tell me I was wrong and everyone else that day had enjoyed it. took 10 minutes of arguing just to have a small replacement. never again.
(1)Scoey D.
Must try the shaggy dog roll.
(5)Dan D.
Excellent sushi. Best in Auburn! Would rate Mikata on Airport Rd. as 2nd best but the selection and quality at Fuji is definitely the better of the two IMO. The house salad with a wonderful ginger/carrot dressing is great. The Shaggy Dog roll is an absolute must! Also love the Volcano , Crunchy Shrimp, Crystal, and ... alas ... even the dreadfully misnamed Bama Roll is fantastic ... can you believe they named it that? I can't bring myself to say it ... I just point to it on the menu. They have three highly skilled and experienced Japanese sushi chefs who really know their stuff. Service and atmosphere is great. They just re-modeled and doubled their size by expanding into the adjacent shop space thank goodness. If you like sushi, nagiri, and sashimi you'll be glad you found this place. Much better than you expect to find in Alabama. Actually 4.5 stars, at least.
