Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

The restaurant is average at its best but that's not saying much since there are so many Mexican restaurants in Auburn. This place receives 2 stars because the food was edible and the service were average. I asked for warm water and the waiter didn't understand my request--he even got another waiter to try and interpret it for me to the extent at one point in this misunderstanding, they even asked 'can you explain to us how you make warm water?'. I ordered the chimichanga and out of all the chimichangas I've ever had, it was basically a bunch of ground beef stuffed into a tortilla wrap. The soft taco looked home made. Almost too home made. There was only cheese, chicken, and some lettuce and placed. I could've done it myself. The only thing that didn't make this place was the options you had in the a-la-carte portion of the menu. I'm curious now if Taco Bell could give me warm water.

I strongly recommend to order the chicken quesadilla and steak quesadilla. Even though it's not the real Mexican food, but It still taste real good. The thin tortilla is a little bit crunchy and oil, the grilled and steak was delicious. Plus, they got real good white cheese sauce, you have to order that for your chips.

Went here for lunch today because I was told that Laredo's had been sliding. We were disappointed overall since the service was not rapid (except when the chips and salsa appeared) nor attentive. The food was also not much to crow over. My quesadilla and burrito (I had SP25 La Hacienda) were quite salty while the rice and beans were bland city. How wack. I'm feeling generous with the stars because the restroom is cute (Mexican tiles! Sunflowers, moons, suns!) and because the sweet tea was not disgustingly oversugared.

Margarita's are very good and they substitute without charging extra. Always a plus in my book. Great place!!!!

Would give this place 0 stars to be quite honest. I went here for a margarita, Queso, and tacos with friends the other night. When I ordered my margarita the waiter checked my id (real ID that's me) and did not question it. Standard procedure, I do understand. However, after 4 different waiters came to question me on my id at my table I was thoroughly humiliated and uncomfortable and quite frankly had no interest in staying and eating there. And all that trouble for a margarita, ha no thanks not worth the extra money, for an overly priced margarita, to give to this shithole. After that whole fiasco, we sat for 20 minutes before a new waiter came and took our order. Even though we had already ordered from our original waiter who evidently never our order in. When our food finally came it was mediocre and not worth the hassle we went through to get it. Not that I would expect 5 star service for a whole in the wall resteraunt but this was the worst I had ever received. I would not recomend this restaurant to anyone I'm the are. Stick to el dorado, cancun, or loredos. BAD BAD BAD.

This place definitely won't make my top ten places for anything. Service was poor. My friend and I never could figure out who our waiter was because he never came around... just long enough to take the order and hand us checks. I needed a new fork. I had to ask three different people before one showed up. Food was mediocre at best. My friend chose not to tip and got lectured about it. Last time I checked tips are given for decent to superb service. And besides who would we have been tipping anyway? One of the several peple who walked by?

I once loved this place. It seemed to start being awful in 2009. Worst service of possibly all time. Rudest servers. Food ok (not good by any means)

I mean, it's mexican. Not the best in the world. The nachos are gross because they just melt shredded cheese on them. The chimichangas are good, as are the burritos. They don't always card (especially if you wear a low cut shirt). The queso dip is the only real reason to go.

Well this is my first time and I had to send my food back. There was a bug walking around my food. So the attached photos are of my friends plate. I'll stick to eating with my students family.

Service was sooooooo slow. It took our waiter 30 minutes to finally take our order and another 1 hr to get our food... There were 3 other tables with 3 or less people. On top of that our waiter did not seem very happy to be serving.. He was unfriendly and did not seem interested in serving any of his tables or being there. We were very unimpressed with the service we received.

Terrible service, Terrible food, outdated decorations. That's all you need to know.

Absolutely minimal service. Had to run down a server to take my order. Food was less than average for what I consider good Mexican. Wife had chicken taco soup and thought it was the best she's had. Would not return.

Disgusting. Bad bad horrible food. Yucky. Get the point? Need more info? the enchilada was reminiscent of a chef-boyardee ravioli. Literally, from the ground up mystery meat filling to the sweet tomato sauce it tasted like it came straight from a can. Everything else was so blah and filled with processed cheese that I can't remember what form it came in. Go to Columbus to La Mexicana if you actually care about Mexican food. P.S. El Patron in Opelika, near Tiger Town coincidentally shares the exact same menu, so we didn't stay long enough to find out if it was the same poor gringo food. Just FYI.
