I'm not the biggest BBQ fan, so I can't speak for their smokey, saucy creations. However, their kickin' pimiento cheese sandwich was DELICIOUS! Served on buttered, lightly toasted Texas toast, this slightly spicy rendition of a southern classic did not disappoint! The reason I'm not giving my experience 5 stars is due to the comments of one member of my group. She ordered ribs, which to her dismay, were very overcooked and dry. Other than that, everything was great!

When I find myself in the Birmingham area at lunchtime, I stop by Full Moon BBQ. Today I had lunch with a high school classmate I had not seen in thirty-nine years. I worked with her father at Service Merchandise and bought goods from the store he opened in the years after our time at Service. The Beef Brisket was better than what I had the week before at Jim 'N Nicks BBQ... moist, thin and tasty. The Baked Beans and Potato Salad were equally as tasty. I have never had a bad meal there. I must go more often. I did get some Full Moon Cookies to take home to the fam.

Not the best Full Moon I've been to. The bbq wasn't great and the tea was waaay too sweet (and you could taste that it was old).

Stopped by for a quick bite for lunch since it was right off I-65. Pretty simple bbq joint with platters and sandwiches also had some stuffed potatoes. I had a turkey bbq sandwich with pickles. The meat was moist and sliced thinly. A sandwich without any sides may not be enough for an average eater but just right for me. They also serve beer, if you wanted a drink with your bbq.

Had a barbeque pulled pork sandwich that Full Moon was serving at the American Village and paid $8. It was the size of a half dollar and full of fat and gristle. Part of the admission was a 2 for 1 coupon to be used and their restaurant. If this is their sampling of an overpriced sandwich then I don't believe our family will be returning.

Yum!! While the pulled pork wasn't amazingly tender it was good. Okra was a hit with the kids as was the carrot cake!!!

The sweet tea alone was delicious. The food was good but nothing to scream over. I had a chicken sandwich that was smothered in bbq sauce (awesome). The fries were good and I think boyfriend enjoyed his pulled pork sandwich. This place was conveniently located near our hotel so that's obviously a bonus. It reminded me of a BBQ themed Zaxby's. Does that make sense? Probably not. Whatever. Would I go back? Sure.

They food was really great. My first time going and I was kind of skeptical. But I loved every bite I had the brisket and it was the best.

Have had several bad experiences here with the cashiers and managers. I keep going back because the food is good but the attitude of the people there is so horrible and nasty. The incident yesterday they didn't give me what I ordered, I asked them to make it right, then they got real verbal with me in front of my son and wouldn't fix the problem and them tried to charge me extra!!! I will be taking my business elsewhere like everyone else that has had so many bad experiences here as well.

My favorite BBQ place in Birmingham. The smoked wings are fabulous, but the whole pulled smoked chicken salad is one of my all time favorite salads - ask for BBQ sauce and ranch and voila!!! All locations are nice, clean and friendly staffed. But 280 location is my favorite.

I am a fan of Full Moon, its a good BBQ and quick. I had been to the one in Homewood many times because its near my work, the one is Alabaster is my home base one. One of my co-workers got me hooked on their chicken, it is very addictive. The ribs were good and the sides were good. I try and remember to ask for the cornbread muffin instead of the toasted hamburger bun that usually come with it.

This place is SO GOOD. It's kind of expensive, but honestly I don't care lol. The sweet tea is delicious, I love the BBQ, the macaroni and cheese is wonderful...and the half moon cookies, OHMIGOD they're amazing. They're chocolate chip with some kind of nuts and half dipped in chocolate...those cookies are phenomenal. They have this slaw stuff called chow chow that I'm not particularly fond of, but that's not unusual as I don't eat slaws. Many people have said it's great though. Seriously, if you come through Alabama, eat here. Totally worth it.

Great barbecue and a nice family environment! I usually get an open face pork plate with fries. It's always good.

Pretty good food. It's expensive for what you get. The fried green tomatoes are excellent, and so is the bbq pork. The ribs are definitely nothing to write home about. Usually the potato salad has what looks like fungus filled old potatoes in it. Not appetizing....but generally the food is good. The workers are pretty nice too. Try the carrot cake, and the half moon cookies!

Got the Black Angus Beef Brisket plate with mac n cheese and fried green tomatoes and it was awesome!!! I thought it was better than Jim n Nick's! The brisket was thinly sliced and the chow chow on the side was so tasty! Loved it! Will definitely return!

Been to Full Moon many times, but not this location. As usual the food and service were great. I typically get a pork salad or a pork plate, but for the first time I tried the stuffed baked potato...and it may become a favorite!
