Impressed by Yelp comrades, impressed by Longhorns, and ultimately impressed with my restraint from swapping my reservation for a crossbow on craigslist :) My fellow yelpers are so freakin cool, even the non-yelpers such as baby June. We shared amazing food, side splitting laughs, and memories I won't soon forget. Michael confessed to his shameful taste in music artists like Justin Timberlake. Brad confessed to his distaste for unsolicited craigslist propositions. Justin confessed to his love for desserts with non-verbal communications. I can go on to say much more about all of the interesting and impressive qualities of the yelp crew of last night, however many such comments would be too obscene for this forum. Then there is the almighty Will, whom I owe ultimate gratitude for the opportunity to have such experiences. Longhorn's: you are such a great organization! In the past, I have had great experiences at a location in Daphne, Alabama. It's my parents favorite steak restaurant! My interactions with Longhorns at this Yelp Elite event has only further reinforced my appreciation. Everyone involved from the wait staff, kitchen, and management were all representing. They had an all "A" team on duty and they were spectacular. No hesitation was made in going the extra mile for us. Drinks were served well before drinks were emptied. Food was served in abundance without any "skimping" whatsoever. Dishes were plated carefully and with great attention to detail. Most importantly, everything was delivered with genuine kindness. A female member of the management staff gave my wife a to- go box with midnight pregnancy craving snacks! They were so damn nice that they could have brought ramen noodles to the table instead of steak and I would have been pleased. In conclusion, I'm so thankful I didn't try and swap my reservation for a compound bow on craigslist. I would have missed out on this wonderful experience I shared with such an amazing group of people. My new yelp friends impressed me with kindness. My new Longhorn's friends impressed me with more than just delicious food. A kind and absolutely hilarious waiter at the event said "they don't pay me to complain." They don't pay me to complain either, but even if they did, I would have come up broke last night.

Big shouts out to Will for setting up these events! You've helped make the Atl to Bham experience all the more enjoyable! I never wrote a review for this event, but never too late. As always, this Elite Yelp Event was spot on! Great food, great company, great service, great evening! We were treated to a 4 course Steak dinner at Longhorn. This included any or all of 4 or 5 appetizers that you wanted to try, a grilled watermelon salad, choice of 1 of 3 different cuts of steak, and one or both of 2 different desserts. Doesn't stop there, we were even afforded up to 2 drinks as well as offered coffee after dessert... All free of monetary charge to those in attendance. This event was not only a great way to get more business from the Yelp community, but it served as another perfect reason why being involved in such a cool community is a lot of fun and so rewarding as well! We were even given coupons for free appetizers upon our return, just to help ensure that we get back in their doors again. Satisfied Yelper, yet again!

Upon walking through the entryway, I was greeted by what must have been the restaurant GM. When I told her I was here for the Yelp event, she sounded excited and escorted me to the 24-top section where I found the tables already filling up. A special menu was printed solely for this event, which can be found in the Pictures I'm sure. There were 4 or 5 higher-ups involved, as well as 4 or 5 waiters/waitresses, so it's safe to say they took it seriously. Two $25 gift cards were awarded to best picture that tagged #GetGrilling and @LongHornSteaks via Instagram and Twitter. Two "adult" drinks were included...a 20-oz Boston Lager and double Gentleman Jack were my choices. From start to finish, I was impressed in the quality from this franchise's kitchen. I usually steer away from chains when it comes to food, but I wouldn't mind paying these guys another visit. Again, hats off to Will Lochamy for having the Elites for this one...haven't felt this gluttonous since Texas de Brazil!

This event greatly exceeded expectations for me--if everyone is honest, I think we'd all agree that you don't usually get fired up about LongHorn. But aside from the special focused service (being treated like royalty is a perfect description, Justin!), this was a great showcase that LongHorn really does have some quality eats. They could have just kept the appetizers coming and I would have been more than satisfied! The spicy chicken bites and fried shrimp appetizers stole the show for the first round. The salad with grilled watermelon, goat cheese, and quinoa (did I do that right? because spellcheck wants to change that to 'Joaquin'...) was light, refreshing, and delicious. The filet was cooked to a perfect, as-ordered medium-rare and the flavor was outstanding. None of the "special sauce" that was prepared tableside (nice touch) needed with the steak. Grilled asparagus was money as well. I'm not a big dessert guy (I'll eat seconds at home instead of dessert usually), but my hat is off to the chocolate cake (6 types of chocolate!) and the peach tart. Both were amazing, and served in abundance. Great company, great food, and another successful elite event. Thanks to Will and the staff at LongHorn!

I had a blast with this event! We sat at a table with three other married couples. One had a baby, and another was expecting. The conversation with this group was great, and I would do this experience all over again exactly the same way. I truly felt like royalty with how much the staff was serving us, talking with us, and being as delightful as possible. Everybody had great energy from top to bottom. This event gave us all the opportunity to have tons to talk about if nothing else about the mass quantity of tasty food they kept bringing us. I really enjoyed being able to bring my wife and spend concentrated time getting to know 3 other Yelp dudes and their wives. We shared a lot of good laughs.

My wife and I had the distinct pleasure of attending this choice event. Longhorn put out all the stops and treated the group like royalty. The staff was amazing and the love for their restaurant really came through with their positive and fun attitude. The four course meal was bar none one of the best you can get it town. We started with four wonderful appetizers for the large group. A highlight for me was the Wild West Shrimp and Corn Fritters. The salad that came after was some next level goodness. It was a Grilled Watermelon Wedge Salad with some great house Vinaigrette. For the main course I had the 6oz Filet that was cooked exactly how I requested and was top notch with seasoning. There was a great steak sauce that our server prepared at the table that really paired nicely with the steak. This wasn't just some A1 knockoff it was a legit sauce. Finally the table was treated to two excellent desserts. A chocolate cake that was amazing and a warm raspberry tart that was melt in your mouth good. I implore you to check out Longhorn. They have really taken their restaurant to a new level with these newer menu options.

Arriving at longhorns and being greeted by a cheerful team felt amazing. I always like when host and hostess are happy to see you whether your meal is on the house or not. It makes me feel as if my business is appreciated. Shortly after being seated, our servers introduced themselves and offered us an array of beverages. Throughout the night I ordered an Arnold Palmer, Montana's Mule(very good!!), glass of Malbec and water. Note to self: bypass the bread on ALL four course meals--it becomes a filler and one's stomach can only take so much. For the 1st course we had an opportunity to munch on four delicious appetizers: wild west shrimp, spicy chicken bites, housemade kettle chips and sweet corn fritters. By far, I would order the shrimp and the chicken bites again. Both had a nice kick to em. If I were at the bar for drinks, I'd order the kettle chips....everyone likes a good kettle chip. They were so yummy, unlike other greasy chip options. Each appetizer option came with one or two sauces of your choosing. The 2nd course I tried my first grilled watermelon wedge salad. It was pretty good. I like kale, but not sure I like it in salad. The watermelon was different with the balsamic glaze. It was nice to try something different, but I was thought it would be more refreshing. The star of the show....3rd course was amazing! I ordered Flo's 6oz filet accompanied by a semi-loaded baked potato. This was yet again another first....filet. Now I see what the fuss is about. It was a tender cut of steak, one that melted in my mouth. I would've liked a 8 oz, though I know filet's tend to be smaller cuts of steak. Nonetheless, it was seasoned/cooked to perfection- no sauce necessary! Since the filet was so small, the plated presentation was lacking a bit...good thing the appeal of the plate didn't change the taste of the steak. For the potato, since I don't eat bacon, it was semi- loaded- chives would be a nice touch for non bacon lovers. As if we hadn't already overeaten, to my surprise the 4th course and grand finale arrived at the table in large proportions. I reached my limit long before the thought of dessert. A giant stampede and fresh handmade tart came to the table and interestingly enough was not as sweet as they looked. Which was a compliment considering what we had just eaten. I had a small amount of each just to try them versus making myself sick :/ All in all, giant thanks to Longhorn for rolling out the red carpet for us yelpers. I appreciate the opportunity to dine with you and look forward to seeing you soon. Happy-stuffed eats. *sorry, no pics, but the ones posted are more than accurate.

What an amazing event! The Longhorn staff really outdid themselves in making us feel welcome here. Just the description of the event upon RSVP was exciting enough to make me look forward to it for days and days, but the entire experience made me grateful and proud to be associated with Yelp and all the other Yelpers that attended. The other reviewers have done a mighty fine job of describing the meal itself, but I'll touch on some of the highlights for me. The appetizers were a lovely dinner kickoff. I took a step outside of the box and dipped my Wild West Shrimp in the spicy chicken sauce. Hard to believe that the shrimp could be improved upon, but I'd venture to say that the spicy sauce might be an avenue for that. The grilled watermelon salad could very possibly have been my favorite plated option of the meal. In my mind, I knew I was only halfway through, and needed to be saving some room for what was to come, but I cleaned my plate anyway! My entree was the Hawaiian rib eye (even though I second-guessed my choice a little bit when my neighbor's filet arrived at the table), with a nice glass of malbec and a baked sweet potato. Dessert rolled out, and I knew I was in trouble. I thought I was going to have to decide between the two, but everyone got to try both! There was even enough to bring home and enjoy four leftovers the next day. The service was impeccable. From the moment we walked in the door and told the greeters we were there for the Yelp event, everyone we came in contact with made us feel like we were the guests of honor. The main server at our end of the table was Erin. She went out of her way to learn and use each of our names, she asked specific questions tailored to each of our dinner choices to gauge our perception of each dish, and she presented the dishes with knowledge. I can only imagine that each server for the whole Yelp party was equally as competent and pleasant. The company was enjoyable and entertaining. It was great to talk to Yelp friends, new and old. Would've been nice to be able to interact with everyone there, but we all were practicing our best table manners. All in all, it was another outstanding event - with all the stops pulled out - and it has me looking forward to the next one I can be a part of!
