This place is great and delicious! The only reason why I come out to soldotna! I love the chipotle sandwich, a little pricey but huge sandwich! Only thing is I wish they were open on Sunday's also, especially during fishing season(more money) lol

Excellent sandwiches! The half size is HUGE I can't imagine what a whole looks like! Yummy! Busy place for 3:45pm but it didn't take too long to get our food. Son got a grilled cheese and said it was perfect. I got a Club Special and it was tasty!

Five stars if you want something cheap to last you for the whole day... Omg their sandwiches are HUGE! I got full with 1/3 of the half sandwich! And a few spoonfuls of their clam chowder which was really good the sandwich was pretty good too I got the chipotle panini. And their cookies are yummy and really big! In short, high quality food, huge portions, low price!

This place is delicious (when it's open!) and their cookies are huge and amazing. It's pretty much the ONLY good place to eat in Soldotna. The only things I wasn't a fan of was 1) their decision to put lettuce on a panini. That's a no brainer but for whatever reason they do it and it's disgusting. I got a to-go sandwich and by the time I got from the restaurant to my car the lettuce was slimy and wilted and had to be thrown away. 2) they put your food in plastic bags. So a hot sandwich is going to cause major condensation which then makes everything soggy and nasty. I spent 14 bucks on a sandwich and ended up throwing most of it away because it was disgusting after the drive home. Next time I'm passing through I'll get a cold sandwich :)

We stayed in Soldotna around a month for some sight seeing and fishing, was so glad to find this deli with amazing soup and sandwiches! And next time we return, I'll be back in for a delicious freshly made sandwich!

Our meals were a good value by AK standards )large even though half sandwiches), filling, and tasted great. We had grilled sandwiches. It seems to be an old Wendy's. Pleasant staff.

A great lunch place! Half sandwiches were plenty big and delicious. Cookies were amazing and salads are real salads not crappy iceberg lettuce with junk tossed on (I had the Greek). For $6.50 for an amazing sandwich this place was a great find , thanks yelp! It is clearly in an old Wendy's, but the atmosphere is casual and kinda cool.

This was a great place to get a huge sandwich, but the last two times we went it was more like bread with mayo and a half a piece of cheese. Very hit and miss, and that's sad because this was one of my once a week go to's.

This place is delicious. When you come here only half is sandwich is needed as it will be the size of any other restaurants whole sandwich. Fresh bread made daily and fresh ingredients. Well worth the wait and the price.

Very good sandwiches. I was not even able to eat half of my chicken salad sandwich. Hubs only ate half of his club. The homemade bread was really good. I would recommend this place to a friend.

The best soup and sandwich shop on the peninsula. HANDS DOWN. Fresh store-made bread, and soup. There's coffee if that's your thing, but the full sandwich on jalapeño bread is a must have and what I'll stick to. They even have a drive through! Just call ahead!

LOVE LOVE this place. They have a great variety of sandwiches, soups, and salads. They do to go orders too, which is super convenient with the drive thru. I only wish they were open on Sundays. And they offer gluten free bread. Good stuff too, which is rare. The portions are huge and you can easily order a half order and be full.

Wow!! What a find!! I had a super fresh chicken cashew salad on (warm) jalapeno cheddar bread (Outstanding!) and I also had a fresh (hot) giant oatmeal raisin cookie! I wish I was in the neighborhood more often!!

Grilled or toasted bread would be a nice option. LOVE the big sandwiches. Great deal for your $$.
(4)Jimmy H.
Great spot for lunch! Everything on menu looks hand/home made! Word to the wise- order half size cause their full size is HUGE! Pastrami sandwich hits the spot. Expensive like everything else in Alaska due to cost of transporting goods etc will be back when in area

I was drawn by the great reviews but was really let down. I got a turkey build your own sandwich with cranberry sauce and all the fixings. They gave me the wrong bread, the sandwich was goopy and soggy with sauce (not in a good way) it had two slices of turkey on it, I couldn't see the cheese. So I took it back up to ask about the bread and cheese and they showed me the half of a piece of cheese in the back part of the sandwich. They changed my bread for me but it didn't really help. My mother got one of their signature sandwiches and experienced the same sogginess with the bread and sauce. I would usually give a place like this a two because the people did try to help me and after it was edible... But I feel like the ratings need to even out. Haha definitely skip and find something better. Or you can make a better sandwich for 6 dollars at the store.

Great bread, good sandwiches. Ate kids grilled cheese, veggie, pastrami and chipotle. All good. Even my bro in law Jeff liked it, and he is a grumpy old man in a young mans body

The ranch/bacon/chipolte sandwich is amazing. The sandwiches are huge, so I can easily split one with a friend or amongst my kids!

Love love love this place. While fishing in Soldotna my hubbie and I would make this our midday stop for lunch. Soups were always fantastic (had three varieties) and sandwiches are humongous!! My husband and I shared a sandwich and would take the uneaten portions for lunch the next day. A must try while visiting the Kenai peninsula!!
(4)Rachel B.
Holy Crap! I might come back to Alaska just to eat here again...
(5)Brendan P.
Really good sandwiches... half is enough for a meal, and a whole sandwich.. well, haven't even tried that yet. Get the jalapeño cheddar bread on a turkey sandwich.. it's awesome. There's no atmosphere, but who goes to a deli for that?
(4)Sam G.
Great sandwich shop! Pretty normal selections for meat and cheese, but the bread options are great. I got a pastrami and cheese on jalapeño cheese bread, which was incredible. The bread had such a great spice to it and really made the sandwich great. Also the Odie's sauce was fantastic. Not quite sure what all the ingredients were, but I would make sure to get that on my sandwich. Additionally, got our order out very fast.

I found myself excited to pass back through Soldotna just to eat here again. Between the two visits, my friend and I tried 3 kinds of soup and sandwiches all of which were excellent. We had seafood chowder, corn chowder, and cauliflower curry soup. I'm afraid I can't remember the names of the sandwiches, but the chicken salad, roast beef, and turkey were all wonderful. Fresh bread and ingredients made the sandwiches more exciting than your usual sandwich. Also the portions were huge, so we had leftovers both times

Excellent sandwich! Big enough to share. Lots of sandwich choices, including homemade bread. Cookies are to die for. Busy place during tourist season. Had to wait quite awhile for one sandwich.
(4)Shana H.
They make their bread homeade with different specials everyday. The sandwiches are massive and you can order whatever fresh toppings you want on your sandwich. Their desserts are always good. The cookies are awesome and also massive in size. You won't leave here hungry or disappointed. The prices are a little high for a soup and sandwich cafe but you get what you pay for so it's worth it. highly recommend this place!

Enormous sandwiches. Fresh ingredients. Nothing overly fancy. Just tasty and filling sandwiches. For sandwiches, you select your choice of one meat, two cheeses, bread, and veggies. I went with a turkey & pepper jack/cheddar cheese on honey wheat bread with lettuce and tomato. The first thing I noticed when I called my name was the size of the sandwich. I am always weary of big portions - to me it screams as compensation for low quality. A type of "well maybe if I shove a bunch of food in their mouth, they'll forget it's incredibly mediocre." So I started a little skeptical. Then I noticed mayo on the sandwich. Now I'm not a mayo fan. I have some irrational distaste for all creamy, white toppings (sour cream, mayo, ranch, etc.) Since I didn't order mayo, nor was it an option, I was a bit peeved. Between the size and the mayo, I did not go into the first bite as a happy camper. Boy, was I converted quickly. The bread was clearly freshly baked and amazingly flavorful. The turkey and cheeses were all high quality, and the veggies tasted like they had just been picked from the ground (in a good way). Now the mayo. Let me reiterate that I do not like mayo. It has ruined dozens of sandwiches for me. Not this mayo! This was not your standard bland mayo. It had some actual flavor and added a punch to every bite. All in all, I was very pleased with Odie's. Next time I'll either order half a sandwich or know to save the second half for later in the day. I'm also excited to try out their sweets and coffees. I'm definitely making a return trip here!

Oh mah gawd. I currently am writing this while in a delicious food coma, fresh from Odie's Heavenly Delights, which is the name I will call them. It's just.. it's so.. so good. I can't come up with many words, because I'm too busy digesting. Soft, homemade bread. Half-price cupcakes on Saturday. Fresh, fresh, delicious. You.. must.. go!
(5)Shaun P.
As always another amazing sandwich down the hatch. Just like your mom used to make back in the day, just packed with more love and amazingness! Odies you rock, always worth the stop!
