Nice group of people that work there. Went in, looked at menu then son decided he wanted something else (he was the only one eating) The girls were nice, suggested other places, I ended up buying a tea. Will go back next time in Soldonta.

Yes, just yes!! Their subs are AMAZING. We got the Bossio and Philly Cheese and they were both good. a little pricey for subs but they are worth it, especially the Bossio. Definitely recommend!

Awesome subs but over-priced! Jerseys has been in AK since the dawn of man and so they're legacy is pretty established. However I don't think they're subs are quite good enough for the price you pay. This place is a little dirty hole in the wall but it's exactly what you expect when ordering an old-school sub. The employees are a little brash but if you were ordering at a legitimate shop in Jersey I guarantee it'd be worse haha 4 stars.

When I want to get my sub on, I stop at Jersey Subs. The Bossio sub is simply fantastic. Tangy, meaty and the rolls have just the right tooth. I grew up on the New Jersey shore, and this place has the closest thing to the subs of my youth as I can find. Super friendly staff too!

I really like jersey subs but every time I order the SAME sandwich it is always different. For example, the Harley hog very rarely comes with guacamole like it's supposed it. Plus my family and I usually get small stomach aches. I don't know if it's from lack of fresh ingredients or lack of cleanliness among the employees. I love supporting small businesses in town which is why we keep going back, hoping the quality gets better.

I would have given a 5 star rating normally just for how good the subs are here. But, OMG!!! It took forever to get 1 sub. We called it in and they said it would be ready in a minute. Being realist, we knew it wouldn't be that quick but over 35 minutes later it was finally finished. They do have 1 of the best subs around but the management there is horrible. At the end of the day, it is only a sub that's being put together and with good management service would be quicker. 5 employees there and 1 person making sandwiches. It seemed all were more worried about naming the band playing on the radio, shooting garbage into the trash cans and socializing with each other. Taking a half hour to make a sub didn't make me feel like a $23 sub was going to be better it just made me rethink visiting again

I ordered two 10" subs for my wife and I. The price was close to 30$ and for that price tag, I expected something damn good. My sub the bollino was good but only worth 6-8$ My wife's was a joke. It was 14 or 15$ and totally skimped on ingredients / made by someone who didn't give a f$&@. When we went back in and told them they gave attitude. Their slogan should be 10-20 inches of pure disappointment. Try somewhere else. Full on overpriced mediocrity.

Great hole in the wall. The sandwiches really can't be beat. Just thinking of it makes my mouth water. However it is a hole in the wall just as I said. Not really a place you want to hang around and eat unless your home life is less then satisfactory. The sandwiches though are well worth the sketch surroundings.

Great sandwiches...... They are huge... I ordered a mini and I was still full. I always say that the bread makes the sandwich and their bread is delicious

Heading to Homer from Anchorage, decided to check Yelp for a decent place to eat in Soldotna. Jerseys came up and I was very pleased with the hot pastrami. The caramelized grilled onions on the sandwich just put it over the top. I will definitely stop there again next time through Soldotna!

As with other incredible food options... I drive out of my way to go up here and get a sub. SO GOOD. Got a philly cheese steak. Better than the cheese steak shop in the Bay by far. MMM. Best flavors i've ever had in a sandwich. Almost.

I like Jersey subs. The food is good and you get a decent amount for your money. It isn't really a sit-in type restaraunt though, despite there being chairs and tables. It feels super crowded

Philly was good, but not great.

One of my favorite stops on the Kenai. Great subs, the best Philly cheesesteak I've had in alaska. I don't even waste my time looking for them in anchorage. The gossip is pretty good too.

Sandwiches are great but take unusually long to make. Probably doesn't help the staff seem as though they're in some kind of trance.

Very good!, First time having a sub there yesterday and was excited when I saw they had Hot Pastrami WITH Sauerkraut!!! I got the 10 inch and ate every bite! Very good! The bread is fresh and I will be eating here again for sure!

A lot of people rave about Jersey Subs, probably because it's one of the better places to eat in an area that doesn't have a lot of good restaurants to begin with! I think the hype was really high, so I was a little bit disappointed it wasn't the extraordinary, heaven-opening, angelic choir-singing glory I was expecting, but it was still very delicious. The cold veggie sandwich had way top much cream cheese for my liking, but nothing that can't be fixed with a quick swipe of a napkin. If you are looking for satisfying food in Soldotna, hit up Jersey's before you attempt a chain or Sal's.

I have very mixed emotions about Jersey Subs. I love sub sandwiches, and am always on the lookout for a great sub place after living in the Middle East for a year and being subjected to Subway to fill my sub desires. Gross. Since I used to live right down the street from Jersey Subs, I have been to this location a handful of times. Each time I have enjoyed the food. The subs are big, filling, and they have a good offering. The taste is always good enough to satisfy you, but for whatever reason, I have never left feeling completely content. Take the meatball sub, for example. The sauce: excellent. The meatballs: pretty damn good. The cheese: quality provolone. The sandwich comes up short because it falls apart very easily, the bread gets soggy quickly, and the cheese melts a bit too much and becomes stringy. So while everything tastes fine, it falls short of being a great sub. I'm not saying I won't go back. I certainly will. Of all the sub places I've been to in town, Jersey Subs has my vote. But it's almost upsetting to me how close they come to making a great sub and yet fail to do so.

Having lived in South Jersey and eaten some great Philly Cheesesteaks, I'd have to say their subs are the closest to the real thing I've had in the last 20 years of living in Alaska. The cheesesteak and the pastrami are my favorites. They are a bit skimpy on the meat, and yes, the service can leave a bit to be desired at both the Soldotna and Kenai shops. Prices are high unless you get a coupon out of the Redoubt Reporter for buy one get 1/2 off the next. The last time I went there, I couldn't find my copy in the truck and went to pick up a paper inside to get the coupon but it was x'd out. I asked where the closest place where they had the Reporter and went to get one, but they were out. Seems kind of stupid to go through all that when it is a free paper, they could have given us a break... We ended up eating somewhere else that was cheaper.
