Good sushi at a good price. From the looks of their menu, Little Tokyo appears to be run by the same folks who operate Kenny's Wok and Teriyaki (Juneau and Sitka) and Asiana Garden (Juneau). Little Tokyo has great curb appeal. Inside, it's open, bright, and colorful. Reminds me of a sushi bar one would find at or near a fish market. Quite cozy, actually. Staff was friendly and there was a decent sized crowd to keep them busy. Just an FYI, access to the restroom (clean!) requires a key you'll have to get by the cashier. The restroom is just outside the restaurant through the side door on the right. You can thank me later.

I wanted to like this place, because it's a family establishment, but the sushi and sashimi are just plan bad. The fish is cut thinly and unevenly. Instead of nice slices of fish, like some of the Yelp pictures show, I got thin, ragged scraps. Rolls are misshapen, and corners generally cut with cheap ingredients wherever possible. Even sauces (eel sauce) were low quality and watered down. Prices were also not cheap- $13 for a maki, which would be fine if it were good. Sad.

Local, authentic and delicious - particularly given that we are in Alaska! This would be a b+ on the east coast but given that it's the only game in town, it's an a+. Sockeye is spectacular and local. The service was efficient and excellent and the floor plan was open, bright and welcoming.

Reasonably priced fresh, tasty sushi in a place I did not expect to find it. Nice variety of rolls. Wine list a bust, but sake good. Atmosphere just ok, but service good. Come here for fresh fish, not romance. Yellowtail was great when we ate here.

The food was okay, but not memorable. Service was below average and thought it was a little pricey compared to other nearby restaurants we enjoyed much more (like Agave & Larkspur Cafe).

Food was okay, prices are reasonable, but service was very slow and unhelpful with refilling empty drinks. We had to wait over 30 minutes for 3 rolls while sitting at the sushi bar.

Another cruise ship stop for us that hit the spot. We had just a little snack here, the dynamite, and it was quite good. The place was packed when we were there; not sure if the other patrons were locals or other cruise-goers desperate for some real food, but it was good to be surrounded by other happy eaters.

I am a sucker for Fodor's choices of where to eat so I wanted to try this when I got to town. Little Tokyo has a comfortable atmosphere where you could watch some television (why CMT?) and your sushi get prepared! For food, I went with the fail-safe tuna rolls, and the standard chicken teriyaki. The sushi portion was medium-sized for the price I paid. The teriyaki glaze was not too thick and overbearing so I could taste the chicken which I appreciate. The miso soup was good but a little different from what I am used to and the salad was small and there could have been a little less dressing. My first waitress promptly got my sushi order and let me take some time to decide another entree but I had to flag her down when I waited a little too long. The older waitress who took here place was a little more perceptive and brought the food and the check out promptly. Overall, my experience was good but it did not stand out compared to other Japanese places I have been to.

Great place to have a light lunch. The wife and I had bentos, which were tasty and really hit the spot. Easy to find; right in the middle of town.
