Lovely decor, memorably pleasant, quiet atmosphere. High ceilings. This coffee shop is an old church and the space for coffee preparation seems a bit cramped, but the service was good and the drinks were well-made. It seems like a wonderful place to work with lots of seating and natural light from the large windows. They have lots of cute tchochkes and art for sale. The space upstairs seems like a perfect space to read.

Wonderful atmosphere since the coffee shope is in an old church with local art on the walls. I love how this shop (and I'd seen in in another place in Seward) decorates their syrup mixes for their coffee drinks...sometimes little quirks like that make my day. We only got drinks which I loved. I got an almond coconut mocha. I'm one of the folks who never drank coffee at all until Starbucks came along and lured in the non-coffee drinkers with mountains of sugar, cream and chocolate. The closest thing to coffee I'll drink is a mocha, so keep that in mind before taking my advice on coffee quality.

Unique and charming, friendly barista, and good coffee. This is a good place to hang out with friends and family or do homework or work on a computer. We came in for a coffee on a rainy cold afternoon and the atmosphere is very warm, homey and inviting. It's a little bit like a store, though, and I would guess it might be a little bit annoying to try to relax as people browse wares for sale. Nice wares, though, mittens and art and cards and glass crafts and other items handmade locally.

I loved the feel of this place. I can enjoy architectural details without a sermon; in fact, I can get a buzz on (with coffee, of course), and wander through looking at local art. Sounds like a fun way to spend a Sunday afternoon! Oh yes, and they were selling cans of coke for a dollar, versus the $3.50 the July 4th vendors were trying to charge.

Located in a beautiful old church, this is a place to find great coffee, friendly service, and unique arts and crafts which you will not see in any other shop in Seward. It's a place I will always visit when I'm in Seward. My last visit was in June with cruise ships in town, yet it was never busy when I was there. If this place was located in my neighborhood of Upstate NY, I'd be in there every other day. It's a very relaxing place to sit and enjoy your coffee of choice. The owner also owns Kayakers Cove, the hostel out on the other side of the bay, so this may be a place you want to visit to make hostel reservations and get information about the water taxi, as well as get a warm drink.

Cool little charming spot in the middle of downtown Seward with a lot of personalities.

We sailed into town on a big ship. Find the locals here sipping tea. A spirited spot to wait out the drizzle. Beautiful local art.

Wonderful coffee and an even better atmosphere! Just the way a coffee shop should be.

I love this coffee house. It is one of the most memorable places to get a cup of coffee.. Buildt in a n old church thie interior is filled with local art, tables, and lots of eclectic Alaskan things to buy. I would say the coffee is jusxt okay but the ambiance more than makes up for it. If you want a little more privacy than the main floor hop up to the second floor and sit at one of the two cozy tables, you won't be disappointed with the view.

I thought this place was okay. It seems like a flea market inside an old church and they threw a espresso machine in the mix. Don't really see it as a gallery but more like left overs from an estate sale. There were mostly locals there on my last visit in earlier this month. I could see how it would get old trying to sit in there during the busy summer season when your trying to drink your coffe and you have people shopping all around you. The coffee was fine, no complaints there, just to busy "as in stuff" for me. I did enjoy the upstairs balcony which has a really cool stairway to the upper level. It is the best seat in the house. I would go back but Sea Bean would be my first choice.

I used to work in Seward, and always chose Resurrect Art as my relaxation spot of choice during days off. The balcony seating has wonderful views of Resurrection Bay and the surrounding mountains, and was perfect for reading, writing, or simply drinking a hot latte. I only give 4 stars because their mochas tended to be much sweeter than I enjoy: not enough espresso.

Thumbs up. Very good coffee, passed the iced americano test! Great atmosphere & lovely selection of local art in all price ranges. I would hang out here if I lived in town for sure! lucky sewardites! I'm not sure on the food options, looked like slim pickins - a few wrapped baked goods and bagels available. But as I said yea on the coffee!

Back in the day, when coffee houses had room for customers, I loved this place. Today, it was more about selling local artisans wares than coffee. I did really enjoy looking at the pieces (I'll be back for holiday shopping) but I was surprised at how much it looked like another Seward tourist trap. Hostile take over by artists? I really hope this is just a seasonal thing. Its a neat place - a coffee house carved out of an old church. Lots of character in the building and I would love to come back when it looks like it did when it first opened. More comfy seating, less price tags. Coffee was good though :)

the cafe that makes you want to stay all day. resurrection art makes its home in an old church with plenty of artwork and sundries to peruse. the ceilings are high, the beams are vaulted, the wood is dark, the atmosphere is chill, and the plethora of plants are reminiscent of my living room. sit in a booth made from wooden pews, read your favorite periodical, and watch the soy milk explode in a science experiment trapped in your coffee mug. become nostalgic for the bay area, but then take a deep breath and relax into your vacation.
