Nice vibe, great coffee, knowledgeable staff. It's also family friendly and plenty of space, even though it is mostly full most of the time. It stays busy enough with such a broad cross-section of people that it'd be hard to feel out-of-place here. I have yet to eat here, but all of the food looks delicious...

This is a fun little place to relax and drink coffee while meeting with friends or reading a good book (there are some dogeared classics waiting for you on the book shelf!) The atmosphere is really fun, I'm not sure if the artwork/artists featured on the walls are switched up periodically, but they are currently featuring some adorable k9's looking for loving homes. The baristas all seemed really nice - even allowing me to run to the atm across the street when my card wouldn't swipe :) I look forward to coming back here for food sometime, it looks like they have many veggie and vegan options for lunch!

It's always good to have a place you can count on for great coffee. I usually stop in here about two or three times a year when passing through Palmer. It never disappoints me, always fresh pastries, perfect coffee, and a comfortable place to hang out.

This coffee shop is the best that I have ever been to! It is located in a small strip mall in downtown palmer. Yummy drinks, baked goods, and anything off the menu is guaranteed to be delish! The baked goods are to die for, they also have many vegan, and gluten free options. I always get a panini with a side salad (topped with poppyseed dressing) AND a cup of soup! I take half of my sandwich home for later. I cannot pass up their poppyseed dressing, or their soup. The soup changes from day to day, and I have consumed a wide variety. They are all yummy. They also sell tshirts and sweatshirts (with their logo, of course) in case the need arises... The staff are friendly and timely with the food. Free wifi is available, along with the newspaper, which is typically lying around. I usually park across the street near the fabric store since they do not have a parking lot.

I love this place. I used to come when it first opened but then we moved out to the area for about 6 years...it's been a few so I thought I should try it again. It's right in downtown Palmer and if you park near the train depot in the free lot, you can just walk across the street. Ordering can be confusing, just think of it this way: you can have any combo you want for about $10. You can get half a sandwich, a cup of salad or a cup of soup, or a cup of soup and cup of salad with bread...or a whole salad or a whole sandwich or a bowl of soup with bread...You get it ? The salads are usually pasta salads and everything is homemade. I know some folks come for the atmosphere of art and music but for me it's all about the food. They bring you a huge chunk of bread and butter too with the soup and salad...Good, hearty food. Even my husband loves this place!

This is a wonderful little coffee house in the heart of downtown Palmer. Their baked goods are fantastic. I highly recommend the cinnamon buns, the lemon bars and the zebra mocha.

Best place for coffee in Palmer. #matsu One of the beautiful things about Palmer is that you can still find small, local businesses that haven't been pushed out by the chains. Vagabond has a nice atmosphere, very good coffee and great food. The quiche is excellent. Great place for a lazy morning latte and breakfast, and one of the nicest little cafes in Palmer. Bring your laptop or iPad: they have free wifi. Service is always kind, helpful and pleasant. If you are from out of town, this is a great place to have coffee and breakfast before walking downtown Palmer. Many small local shops are within minutes.

Located on the small town of Palmer's main strip, this coffee shop is the perfect pit stop for caffeine on the go. In an area where the words "vegan" and "organic" are rare, Vagabond Blues has several treat options for those more health conscious customers. Plus, the humungous cookies near the entrance are just as enticing for the rest of us. Easy parking: Yep, plenty of street parking. Large mocha under $5: Yes Friendly staff: Yes Indoor seating: Lots of tables with big wooden chairs to relax in. Outdoor seating: A few metal tables on the sidewalk. Decor: Minimal, neutral colors on the walls let the local artwork for sale take the highlight. People with laptops: No Hipsters: No Famous Faces: No Foam Art: No People watching: Good In & out quick: Yes The challenge continues!

BLT & tortilla soup - it was tasty. We were going to go to the Klondike place down the street (per yelp filter) but it was closed. Lucky for us because the food was tasty. Service is good. A little prices at $15.

Decent coffee house for palmer. I've been here 4 or 6 times. Mainly to study. Good study atmosphere. But the service is not very consistent. I've been here times that the service is awesome and times where it was just terrible, even on a slow day. I got sick from their quiche so I don't recommend that. But their pasta and bread are out of this world. I'm not a Coffe drinker so I can't speak for that. I would recommend for someone who needs a place to study. Otherwise I wouldn't recommend for lunch.

When I was in AK for a brief 3 month stint, would always come here for coffee, do a little work and people watch. The food is amazing and fresh, the coffee is fantastic and best of all.... the people watching! Love this cozy little spot!

This is an oasis. I've been coming to this place since I was old enough to care about coffee. Actually -- before that. Keep an eye out for shows, and see all of them.

Great meeting place with good coffee and a good selection of food. They have wifi and a good amount of seating. The only downside is that it's usually fairly busy and the food is on the pricey side. It's good though, I love their salads!

Yummy panini and soup is obviously fresh made. I was longing for more of a pesto bite to both and a much crustier focaccia. Nice place to have a lunch and a cherried 70s Dodge Dart drove by and gave me flashbacks making me do a double take as it coasted through the charming and dated surroundings. Too bad the prices didn't match. $17 for Sunday lunch for one including a bottled ginger ale but not including tip.

This place is the bomb! We were passing through Palmer and decided to stop for a snack. It's a decent size cafe with a cozy atmosphere and a couple of outside tables. We got some vegan baked goods and they were all delicious. Favorite was the pumpkin slice - melt in your mouth cake with yummy cream cheese filling. Will definitely stop by whenever we are in town. Would like to try their lunch fare.

When you're someone who's become a city person, and you're visiting back home and just really want a place to chill and get coffee this place is a haven. They have amazing homemade bread, great soups, and delicious salads. Plus, free wifi. Also, shows, with some big names. Check it out.

Fun place. Good spot for a quick lunch and good sandwhich. Don't forget to grab one of their cookies. Also there were a lot of beautiful women here. Servers and a lot of patrons. Extra plus. Fair prices. Worth a try i would say.

On a visit to Palmer in the winter, I walked the main strip and came across Vagabond Blues. Seemed like the only decent plans to grab a good cup of coffee. I was right. Kaladi brothers coffee at its best. I had a tasty vanilla latte which was nicely prepared in a compost able cup. About $4.45 for a 16 oz. They have a large assortment of pastries - cakes and cookies. Many are vegan. They also have sandwiches. Nice ambiance with a lot of seating. A great place to get some work done on your computer, although they appear to use some local radio station sponsored free wifi. Also a great place to meet with friends or read a book. Some nice comfy chairs would be a great addition. From your seat, you have a view of the mountains, the train depot...and Wells Fargo. Great place to grab some coffee in Palmer.

We got here late so we only tried the pastries and coffee which were delicious. The lady behind the register was nice enough to let us stay and finish our coffee even though they were closing in a few minutes. I'll have to make a trip back to try the food.

I traveled to the Wasilla/Palmer area of Alaska for a few days and needed a place that could provide some healthy but delicious options while I was away from home. A couple guide books that I looked through before the trip recommended Vagabond Blues and a few locals suggested it as well. So, decided to give it a go. I went during the lunch rush during a week day and even though it was busy, they got the food out to me fairly quickly. I had a panini on sourdough with portabella mushrooms, cheese, onions, and other goodness. The panini was good and the bread was a good proportion to the other items included in the panini. I don't like it when there is so much bread that you can't enjoy the rest of the sandwich. I also got a yummy side salad that had decent greens and a delicious poppyseed dressing.

The California Club is one of the best hot sandwiches I've ever had. I can honestly say that there isn't one thing on the menu that I don't like and the coffee easily compliments the the food. I wish there were more places like this. I have yet to find one in anchorage, but I stumbled on this place by accident so you never know.

Best place for coffee, tea, and quick food. Their soups are always great. Staff is awesome. Great place for business meeting or a place to study. Who's who of Palmer frequents Vagabonds, you'll always run into someone you know.

Growing up in Palmer, I can honestly say that this local cafe has done a fabulous job in engaging local farms, the community (live music) and supporting artists of all kinds. It's a relaxing atmosphere where you can study or visit and you don't have to worry about disturbing anyone yet you aren't fighting to hear yourself think. Great food and great coffee. I wish I could truck them around the country with me!

Friendly staff. Good coffee, great deserts (until the sell out). Free WiFi. Not open late enough. But nothing in Alaska seems to be.
