Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

I really don't care what others say about this place changing. They must all be on some crack. Growing up in Juneau this was a staple in my life.... had first dates here, friends meeting up here, family dinner here and many birthday parties here. The downtown location is ok too, especially for lunch with people that work in the SOB building. Fond memories of running from game to game using way too many quarters for entertainment. Of course the games are different but wow they have some good ones!! I'm a huge fan of their Garlic Chicken pizza which has amazing flavor and brings back many childhood memories! Their deluxe is kind of the all in one pizza and has both veggies and meat. Salad bar can be pricey, except at lunch, but it's not bad. Friends love the sandwiches but I can get a sandwich anywhere. The crust on these pizzas is outstanding and they actually cover the pizza with toppings. I've been here less than a week and already been twice. More to go because I didn't get the taco pizza yet. Sorry folks but to anyone that's lived in the lower 48 very few, if any, pizza places can slightly measure up! I love that they are still here and still very much awesome! Is it more expensive than Dominos or Pizza Hut? Uhhhh yeah but is it worth it? Really comparing it to these two is impossible! Went last night and can't wait to go back yet again.

This used to be the best pizza in town. Unfortunately there is a new owner and the service and food has gone downhill. Prices have gone up and quality and taste has really suffered. They have 2 locations. In the Valley and downtown. Both have suffered since new ownership. You're better off going to Juneau Pizza in the Valley or Pizzeria Roma downtown for good quality pizza!

I was skeptic about going, but I was told Bullwinkle's had great pizza. I called ahead to let them know we were coming and there would be about 30+. I had emailed them our order ahead of time so they could have a heads up. I tell you what! Bullwinkle's was on top of everything. They had our orders out fast and we all eat pretty much at the same. The kids had a great time, pizza was great, affordable, and the adults were happy as well.

The pizza is horrible. If this business is in the East Coast, this pizza place is close in a heartbeat. Pizza much worse than the Island Pub pizza.

There was nothing special about the pizza and the prices where a bit high.

The restaurant is nasty. The last time we went there, was THE LAST TIME. The rugs are threadbare and stained. Not one table was clean. I had to get a wet rag and wipe it myself. The bathrooms were horrendously filthy and smelled like shit. The walls are smeared with food stains. Every napkin holder was empty. You have so many tables crammed in there that nobody can sit comfortably. A large party came in and sat at the tables around me and my family. The older lady say behind me and crammed her chair into my back. They leaned across us, over and over again to share condiments. Your employees made BOTH our pizzas incorrectly. When I asked them to correct the one with onions, the kid at the counter started to take the onions off with his BARE hands! He said that's all they'll do for us. My child IS ALLERGIC to onions. Picking them off would of still left juices behind and could of made him ill. Not to mention that your nasty, filthy hands just touched our food. Your employee said if he makes another pizza he will get yelled at. I put this complaint on your facebook wall and they never responded except to delete it. Well you cant delete it here on YELP. I want to be sure that tourists see this review. We left in utter disgust. Being a professional caterer at one point in my life, I would be completely appalled by the condition of your "restaurant".

I grew up with Bullwinkle's pizza, and have to say that to this day, it's still my favorite. As a kid, I remember running around from game to game, feeding the machines quarters. Occasionally, I would return to our table to eat a few bites of pizza before darting off again. As I got older, I would frequent Bullwinkle's during my 30 minute lunch break, which of course would cut it close, but it was worth it. Years later, here I am, nearly 3000 miles away and wishing I had this little slice of Alaska. The pizza is a bit more spendy than Dominos or your average frozen pizza - but c'mon...you're comparing it to DOMINOS! *facepalm* So, if you're looking for "a good time in the 'ole town" or just looking for some good pizza in Juneau, give Bullwinkle's a try - especially if you have kids.

It's really difficult to sit down and describe exactly what I like about Bullwinkles. It's not the atmosphere- loud and often full of screaming children and flashing arcade games. The pizza is good, but you have to eat it right away- I would never take this out or have it delivered, it starts to get gnarly really fast which probably doesn't speak well of its nutritional value but we are talking about pizza here, people. I guess the thing about Bullwinkles is either you get it, or you don't. Some people hate it, some people love it, I happen to love it but I almost think that, like Pelmeni's, it's an acquired Juneauite taste. It's worth a try, especially if you have kids- they love the free popcorn and arcade games. This one (in the Mendenhall mall) is imho better than the downtown one, it's a bit cleaner.

Great for the kids because there are plenty of video games. Appreciate the popcorn to snack on while waiting for pizza. Overall this place is best left to the kid's birthday party because the pizza is less than ordinary and greasy.

When I lived in Juneau, I always enjoyed going to Bullwinkles, fun atmosphere, popcorn and fun! What's not to like?
