I don't understand how I have never written a review for this place! I have been out of Fairbanks for about 10 months now and I have failed to find a sub shop that compares to Speedy's. I used to HATE ham sandwiches. And then one day, I took a bite of my husband's Hawaiian from Speedy's. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Have I been in a coma all my life? What is this? Pickles and pineapple and olive oil all together with ham and cheese and lettuce and tomato and mayo and it all goes so gosh darned perfectly together? I mean, the turkey and cheese was good, but then once you try this Hawaiian, you just suddenly discover life. And I LOVE the people that work here. They are always so nice. I am going to complain about the lack of fountain beverages. And the prices. They aren't horrible for Fairbanks, but I believe the special meal is about $11.25? Yikes. My family and I make do with Jimmy John's here in Louisiana, but what I wouldn't give for some Speedy's ...

Hillbilly Sandwich is my favorite! $11 for a sub is a little pricy but fresh ingredients, fresh bread. I haven't been to subway in years! It's definitely all about the bread MAN!

They have way better sandwiches & service than Subway & Quiznos combined. I would definitely recommend this place to Family & Friends.

Was introduced to this little place by a friend. Have lived in this area for 20+ years and had never been here before. I got the HTB (Ham, Turkey, Roast Beef) fully loaded. This was by far the best sub I have ever had. For me, there was no comparison at all to subway. In the past two weeks since learning of this place, I have been back 4 times for lunch. I tend to be a creature of habit, so once I find something I like, I tend to order it every time I visit. I have only tried the HTB, so take from that what you will, but it's the best I've had.

ER visit! Watch out for the pepper steak. Worst food poisoning of my life, thought I might have appendicitis. Think they need to swap out the cauldron of shredded meat a little more often.
