This restaurant is located inside the Westmark Fairbanks Hotel. We arrived after a long day of travelling and decided to eat dinner at the restaurant on property. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. I had the Reindeer Meatloaf with mashed potatoes. I had never tried reindeer meat, so I thought I would step out of my comfort zone and eat what Alaskans eat. It was strange to think that maybe one of Santa's reindeer rejects somehow ended up on my plate, but once I got over that thought, it was pretty yummy. The carrots were also quite interesting as I have never had a "round" carrot (it looked like it was made with a melon baller) or a purple carrot before. Nevertheless, they were quite tasty. To top of the meal, we had a delicious banana split. The staff was very friendly and we had great service. We would definitely go back again!

Don't waist your time or money here not worth it. If I owned this place I would be embarrassed to serve what they do. Ribs were gross, the only thing that was ok was the drinks. Not much in this town but keep looking.

It was food, what can I say. I paid 20 bucks for the salad/steak/fries meal. The salad was wet and over-dressed, the fries were made with such old/overused oil they had an unpleasant and powerful onion flavor, and the steak was dry and overcooked (asked for medium, definitely got well-done). For the convenience of not leaving the hotel in the cold weather it was doable for a hot meal, but still very disappointing for the price. I stay here a lot for work and will probably end up eating here again, but I would sooner recommend stocking up from the vending machines if you're staying in the hotel and get desperate for grub or better yet, taking a walk downtown if it's not too late. I must say it looks like an okay place to grab a drink or two, much more casual (less party-party) then some of the local bars.

Got the steak, salad and frites. Horrible. Absolutely a waste of money. 5oz petite steak, which was tough even though I ordered it medium was over cooked. The Caesar salad was swimming in dressing and I could barely eat it. Fries were tough and tasted like old oil and maybe that were reheated. And $6.50 for a bud lite draft?? No way!! Also didn't understand the need for the flower garnish? Apparently it's an edible orchid but they fail to mention that. Also tried the pork empanadas which weren't very good. Odd mix of spices. I also tried the turkey wrap which again for the price was insane. 14 bucks for a wrap and again stale tasting fries. Do no recommend unless you're stuck without transportation but the price is just insane.

pretty standard - nothing memorable but large portions, reasonable prices. The open faced salmon sandwich was actually quite delicious.

The staff was very fun and friendly. We came in after 3 flights, 15 hours of travel, and a walk around the entire downtown area. We got in at 1045 pm and we got the end of the late night menu. The food was perfect for us at this hour. We ordered simple but tasty beers with a couple of local draft beers. I gave a 5 star rating, but do not expect a 5 star restaurant. It is a good hotel restaurant with a great staff and tasty food.

I ordered the halibut. The fish is fine. But the side is awful!!! It's carrot and something else. It's disguasting and I cannot finish it!!! Also the portion of the fish is so small with the price of $36. Besides the rice come with the fish tastes below average. Soooooo disapointed!!!

We did nothing here but drink so I can't really speak for their menu. The waiters were friendly and we got our drinks relatively quickly for being in such a large group (15+ people). The drinks weren't watered down and were pretty strong.

The food is excellent. Head Chef Tim provides a variety of quality dishes at reasonable prices. The special menu insert has been my favorite. Blackened cajun prime rib and red velvet cake were excellent. I wish I could rate service and food separately. Often our drinks were empty and the wait staff was complaining about their personal lives to each other throughout our romantic dinner. If the staff was more professional and remained in the restaurant throughout our meal it would be a 5 star rating. Westmark, don't let unprofessional night staff ruin your reputation!

The atmosphere was very clean but still bar-like, with romantic darkness. Our hostess was very friendly and really seemed to care about her job. My dad and I marveled at the heartiness of the clam chowders we ordered. I had a bison burger that was comparatively large and filling as well. A great end to our Alaskan culinary adventure. Oh, this place shares the menu with the other hotel restaurant so if you like/don't like one, go/don't go to the other!

Me and some co-workers were in Fairbanks for some work and they wanted to grab a bite for dinner. Being that I have Verizon cell service and we were already in the car getting done with work I could use yelp which sucked. So I was forced to let the other people pick a place. It had been awhile since I went to a place without giving a good Yelp scoping and now I know why. So to start out, I gave them a call to see if they took reservations and they said they did but not during this time of year. I thought that to be a bit of an odd comment but, then asked them if they were busy and they said not really but it could pick up. When we get there the place is in the lobby of hotel and has two entrances from the hotel lobby. The place was about half full so not really busy but there seemed to be some confusion when we walked in and took a few minutes to get our table. And all of us in the group kinda got the vibe that it was a hassle to seat us. So we get to the table and our server comes by ask us if we wanted any starters or drinks. We ordered a few starters and drinks. Then for the main course two of us order the special a Strip Steak with mashed potatoes and a veggie side that I can now not remember, another one of us ordered a steak and fries meal, and the last one of us ordered a BBQ pork sandwich. My steak wasn't to bad but was a little over cooked the mashed potatoes were really dry/hard on the outside and not very good. The guy that order the BBQ sandwich said it was so bad he couldn't finish it. Oh and I forgot to mention that when one of my co-workers asked for some more bread our server told him he didn't need it his food would be ready shortly. We all kinda laughed at it thinking she was being funny but she wasn't and never brought the bread. And the best/worst part was when she brought our food out she stood there lurking and then told us how hungry she was because she was fasting for a blood test the next day. She then stood there rambling on about her upcoming blood test. That really kinda ruined the night. Overall, I think if we had felt remotely welcomed when we walked in, had our server come by more (our drinks ran out mid meal and had to ask another server if we could get some more), oh yeah and no dinner time blood test talk with the customers It might not have been so bad.

More like a 3.6. I round down...! This was the first place my brothers, my bf, and I chose on our first day in Downtown Fairbanks and it was a Sunday and a lot of places are closed on Sundays for some reason... Well, it was across the street from the hotel we did stay at, the Regency *vomit* and so we walk through and were greeted quickly by the staff. The place was pretty empty except for maybe three other occupied tables. The ambiance was pretty casual, but a lot more nicer than many places we've been to so far. Our waiter, Marc was great and made the mood cheery... cracking jokes and was a pretty cool guy... the menu is pretty large and looked to offer some good food. We were given some bread as an appetizer to munch on as we waited for our food to come out. I ordered the special for the night which were Crab Cakes with a side of vegetables (broccoli), mashed potatoes, and a choice between soup or salad (I got clam chowder, yum and Marc made it a point to get all the goodies packed into our cups! Thanks!!) The two crab cakes were large and definitely crabby, but I thought were cooked really well! The broccoli was drizzled with some melted cheese which I could've done without but still ate it. The mashed potatoes were creamy and buttery and gobbled that up quickly. My brothers chose the Halibut (tasted nice) and the Deep Fried Prawns (a bit oily and alright) with the same sides. My bf ordered the Steak (a little small) and fries and the house salad (he gave it a thumbs up taste wise though). Onto dessert! We ordered a 2005 Moscato D'asti... yummy and some fried banana with ice cream on the recommendation of Marc which turned out to be good as well... and a bread pudding which was also recommended but was probably our least favorite (could have nixed it altogether). Altogether, it was probably one of our more satisfying meals we had in our week stay here in Fairbanks and left incredibly full... the prices average about $20 an entree, the beers were I believe $5.50 each, the bottle of wine we had was $24... I'm not sure about the desserts. So the food is definitely better than A-OK, although I wouldn't venture off into orgasm inducing foodland. And the service we received was great! I think it would be a good stop for out of towners looking for a good sit down dinner though.
