My search for the best pad thai in Fairbanks is over! This place has it. Spring rolls are delicious little flavor nuggets of WOW and the pad thai is flavorful, not oily like some other places I've tried. I always order my pad thai really spicy, and they hit the nail on the head. It's just perfect: the pad thai flavor doesn't get lost in the heat, which is another problem I've run into at other places.

Nice cozy atmosphere and excellent food! Love the yellow curry and fried rolls! Everything was great and the waitress was sweet. Very attentive

This is my favorite place to eat in Fairbanks, well except for my aunts house. I like Thai food, and have tried a lot of different dinners. But there is one thing I love, and that is Pad Thai, and this place has one of the best I have had, and that is pretty much the reason I keep coming back. It is strong, and bold, and full of flavor, and that's what I like.

Never got to try. Sat at table for 15 minutes and watched 2 other walkin orders taken while I sat ignored. Walked out and went elsewhere

Food is okay, price reasonable. Restaurant decor and ambience is a little divey, the bathrooms need a makeover. Our big complaint was the service, our waitress spent more of her time and attention gossiping loudly in the back rather than attending to the customers. She came to our table three times; order, deliver and bring the check. Would only return if I was nearby and hungry.

What a wonderful dinner we had here! We shared three things & we all agreed everything was delish: red curry, Tom yum soup, & pad Thai, all with veggies rather than meat. The hot tea was also good. We're visiting from anchorage -- this place is now on our list of must-visits for our next trip to Fairbanks.

OMG! I absolutely looooooove this place. Not only are the spring rolls phenomenal but the peanut sauce and all other sauces are amazing too! My husband is a Pad Thai lover and critic and he loves the Pad Thai from Pad Thai!!! They have a drive thru that is open until midnight and excellent food to boot! Pad Thai you are delicious, we will frequent your establishment!

Let me preface this by saying I NEVER write reviews. This place used to be good. It's rapidly declining. I'm usually very forgiving, but this review is all negative. -Women's toilet overflowing into hallway -Men's toilet plugged and full of waste water -Men's urinal out of order -Kitchen appeared very dirty -Very poor service. Besides taking our order, we never saw the Waistress -Waistress did not understand basic English, which ended up affecting our bill -The food was subpar and way overpriced I was so appalled, I'm actually filing a report with the health department

3and 1/2 stars is an understatement! Order off the secret menu- Pad sew ew is the best. Great service, funky atmosphere and super tasty food makes this a gem of College Ave. such a genuine establishment - couldn't ask for a more authentic american thai experience.

Great Thai food and very good service. Prices are very reasonable especially given the serving size. Their Pad Thai is the best in town. Others may give a slight edge to Lemongrass, but I prefer the smaller venue, speedier service, and atmosphere of Pad Thai.

Just in from So Cal to move my daughter into UAF. Was so happy to find good, authentic Thai food so close to the university.

Spicy and yummy! Very much enjoyed the seafood dish here. Big chunks of fish and other shellfish included. They definitely did not skimp and the flavor was wonderful. Good service too. Terrible parking.

Great little spot over by the university. The food is excellent. No frills, no beer, no wine. It's a cool looking restaurant once inside and it's pretty comfortable. Joy, the server, is fantastic and friendly. Between this and the other spot I ate at, I think Fairbanks has two of the top five Thai restaurants I have ever been to.

We went here despite some of the bad reviews and it was actually really good! It's a small little place, but very beautifully and tastefully decorated - probably the best decorated Thai restaurant I've ever been to. The food was very good, and came out quickly. Both bathrooms were also nice and clean. I would definitely come back here.

Excellent food, good prices, great portions. I swore by Lemongrass until I came here. The curry isn't as sweet and thick as I find it to be at Lemongrass which is nice because it doesn't sit heavy in your stomach. The drunken noodle dish is delicious every time. Staff is super friendly and gave me extra rice for the last bit of curry I couldn't finish and wanted to take home with me. I will try to branch out and try other items on the menu, as I tend to get stuck on yellow curry. *update* I had the pad Thai with chicken and it was delicious. I have also shared the massuman (sp.?) curry with my boyfriend and found it to be quite good. It just keeps getting better and better.

It unfortunately took me 3 months to eat here. But fortunately, I did. And I'm so glad I did!! THIS place is the best Thai in Fairbanks. We had the spring roll (yum) and I had the pad thai w/ tofu (yum) and my boss had the beef fried rice. Spring rolls: If I weren't eating with my boss, I would've probably pulled a fat-kid stunt and eaten the entire plate without sharing a single piece. Pad thai: It was not greasy at all, unlike most pad thai dishes I've had in other thai restaurants (here as well as in the lower 48). Beef fried rice: Boss-lady loved it. She said, "Omg!! I can see myself ordering this all the time." They have a drive through. Don't ask me where but they do. Small menu but lots of choices!! The restaurant is tiny and I can imagine this place getting full pretty quickly. The service was efficient and quick. There wasn't much chit chat. She took our order and left but was never impolite. Great place!! My only regret is eating here on my last day in Fairbanks. :(

I came by to this place after perusing through Gulliver's Books... and since it was incredibly cold and hungry, my brothers, bf, and I trekked in the snow to Pad Thai, which was recommended by the awesome Gulliver's staff... I had the shrimp pad thai... figured I'd go with what should be their star entree... it was okay. The taste was very... strong and thick. So the flavor completely coated your mouth and became a little too much. I'm used to a lighter tasting pad thai... ehhh. It was a little less than $10 and they gave you a pretty good portion which is a plus. The restaurant is pretty small, but lots of seating and did notice a lot of people did come through... so they must be doing something right.

Had Pad Thai with chicken and it was okay food. Not amazing, but not bad either. We had a group of 6 people and they wanted to split us up into 2 tables. There were only 4 tables of people in the place and at least 8 empty tables; all they needed to do was put together 2 of them! We were saved by the other group of 6 in the place who decided to give us their table because they were done eating. The waitress seemed nice other than the table issue and our plastic water goblets were always full. I'll go back if I have to (it is one of the closest restaurants to UAF, walking distance) but I won't want to.

Love to have Tom Yum soup on a dark, cold -30 afternoon. All curries are wonderful. Good hot tea, appetizers, close to the University. Get stuffed then go next door to the Marlin for a drink!

I really like this place-both ambiance and food is a thumbs up for me. Khao soy is the special and it is GOOD. It was one of my favorites in seattle and was stoked to find a wonderful rendition here. Also had green curry which I always have as my stand by and yum. Just tried ginger stir fry and that too hits the spot. Added bonus- brown rice. Get your Thai craving filled up quite pleasantly here!

I'd still probably give the edge to Lemongrass, but it's a close second. I'd definitely keep coming here. The sauces are very good. Kind of a funky little cabin, but it suits Fairbanks well.

First, the bad: they don't have my fave dish, Pad See Ew. Also, the night we went they had one guy there, who appeared to be the host, waiter and cashier all rolled into one, so service was pretty slow. The food, however, is pretty decent-I had chicken Pad Thai, which I almost never order because a lot of places do it horribly, but this was, if not perfect, at least very delicious. Another plus: We went with a large group and they were able to accommodate us with no problem.

The food here is pretty authentic and not really spicy. We ordered medium and that was what would be called not spicy at all in Hawaii where we have some FABULOUS Thai restaurants. Quite pricey in comparison to Hawaii (surprise!) where competition is tough. Tom Kha could have been with more flavor (i.e., coconut milk and galangal---but maybe not available even during summer?). Pad Thai was very good. Can't remember the other specialty that we ordered but hubby was not so impressed and he LOVES Thai food. I'd go back to get Pad Thai and Tom Kha again. We weren't there to buy the restaurant so atmosphere is not really important. Suffice to say that it appeared to be clean and wait staff was appropriately alert.

Great Thai with excellent prices! I love the pad Thai and Tom Yom soup is amazing and the owner is very nice when you go there. Cannot wait to go again!

Been 6-7 times and had takeout another 4-5 times. Decent food in that I've never had anything bad, but it doesn't overwhelm me either. Their heat levels are also very inconsistent. Medium usually means no heat at all, and I've ordered hot and gotten either mild, medium or strong medium. Service is ok and the kitchen has been very accommodating the couple of times I've ordered off the menu. I go there because its close by and not bad, not because I crave it.
