We were looking in Yelp for a good burger joint and decided to try here on our way to the airport. We were pleasantly surprised. My husband had the bacon cheeseburger and he rated it a 9. I chose the ribeye dinner with mashed potatoes. My steak was cooked to my specifications which actually happens rarely (pun intended), however the potatoes were tasteless. I requested to change out for the waffle fries instead. Great choice! They were delicious!! Harley was an amazing server, only there 4 months he said. He consistently checked in on us even though he was the only server for the bar area.

We started with the cajun shrimp and they were my favorite part. Cajun spiced little shrimp that disappear quickly. Loved them. Burgers are good. I got the jalapeño burger and wasn't crazy about something on the burger. I'm not sure if it was a spice or what. And it wasn't as hot as I thought it was going to be. But it was a decent sized burger and the steak fries are awesome. My partner got the Brewster burger and really enjoyed it. We ended with a sundae and I thought they were going to have to roll me out of there. We'll be back for more burgers.

I've never had a problem here. I recently got addicted to their halibut sandwich for $15 you get 4 big pieces of perfectly fried halibut with tomato and lettuce and plenty of tartar sauce it's amazing!! Hands down

I cannot recommend Brewsters. I came in today to eat at the bar and watch a football game. The bar area smelled strongly of spilled, stale beer. The bar top was not clean. The bartender was absent for at least five minutes after I sat down. Once he appeared, he was curt and abrupt. I ordered the chicken quesadilla, which was served promptly. It was accompanied by small servings of sour cream and salsa that tasted like it came from a jar. The quesadilla was passable: I would rate it at two stars. After finishing my meal and paying my tab the bartender returned my credit card and receipt by literally tossing the folio onto the bartop in front of me. No "thank you," no acknowledgment, nothing. If you want a clean eatery with pleasant servers you should look elsewhere.

We got re-sat, initially. Thank God, because Jessica turned out to be our server. Super friendly, super knowledgeable; about the food and the wine. She exemplified service. Smiling, friendly, perfect timing. Just amazing. Now, the food. My daughter ordered medium rare steak and it was cooked perfectly. I ordered medium well, only after I told her how I wanted it and she said order only medium well. It was absolutely perfect! Great cut off meaty, cooked perfectly. I would add sour cream to loaded mashed potatoes, but I didn't ask for it. They probably had it. A definite return visit during our short trip here!

I really liked this place! I had the Cajun steak and it was delicious! All of our food was was awesome and the staff was very friendly. I definitely recommend this place.

Overall this place was pretty solid. Went on a Saturday night and the place was pretty calm. Servers were nice. I got the jalapeño burger with the chipotle mayo and it was a solid 8.5/10.. I love spicy food. Atmosphere was fine, music was perfect volume. My only gripe is the serving size wasn't big enough. This is America, we are obese and we need more food for the price to keep our caloric intake at ~6500 per day. P.S. the waffle fries are "literally ok"

Went here on a Sunday a while ago and decided to check it out. I had been to this location only once and we were close so we decided to stop in and eat. The second time was awful!!! I can't tell you about my food the second time because we never got a table. I guess they were so busy they chose not to acknowledge my husband and I? We waited around 30-40 minuets and there were open tables too (maybe the do reservations and those tables were reserved? I don't know. I didn't care to ask since the hostess didn't care to communicate with us). It was only us and one other couple and they waited just as long but got seated before us. We decided to give it a bit longer since we were next and we got eye contact from the waitress, just no customer service and again no table or no acknowledgement. It annoyed me off so much for being ignored, I never want to go there again, I'd go to the other Brewsters on College because I get BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE, and I get treated like they VALUE my BUSINESS, they even ACKNOWLEDGE the customers that walk in the door. I don't know why the one on college has worse reviews and I recommend that one over this one any day. Unless a group of people I was with or my husband wanted to go there. I won't be returning to this establishment.

Friendly staff, and great food! The garlic cream sauce on the Penne Pasta was one of the best I've ever had!
(4)Lindsey T.
They usually have a few decent drink specials on their board in the bar area. Beers are standard price ($4-$5). I've gotten the nachos twice because they're delicious and huge and awesome. Only $10. Small & cozy restaurant to have a quick bite and beer.

Jalapeño burger and phillies are good. The sirloin sandwich was tough and I wouldn't recommend it. Typical pub food, but I do not love burgers and the jalapeño burger is one I will buy! Service is so-so usually when I go. A lot of items overpriced for what they are.

Worst service I ever had and when the food was brought out to our party of three, it was cold. Our server looked to be stoned and took forever just to bring us drinks. I could understand if there was a large amount of people, but there was no more than maybe 20 people in the restaurant with more than enough servers to accommodate. Never going back.

Nice hostess and waitress. Side note: don't gossip on the job. My Alaskan Halibut sandwich was amazing. The waffle fries were cold. Wings didn't have much meat on them but the BBQ sauce was very good.
(3)Randy F.
Very good food and even better service. Deluxe pub grub and decent selection of beer. Their jalapeño jelly condiment is amazing. Casual atmosphere.

Friendly staff, good food, could use more knowledgable people answering phones but other than that, I've always had a good experience and my food has always been good. Wasn't super jazzed with the cheese steak, looked like and tastes like a sloppy joe.
(4)Ryan A.
Good good and drink selection and great service!! Wasn't prepared for the inside decor kinda an old diner feel but it's suppose to be a sports bar
(4)Annie H.
Awesome: - Open till 11pm, which is super awesome if you're getting off the aurora train at night and wondering where to eat - Waffle fries - good - Service very friendly and our waitress was super sweet - Steamer clams - pretty good Okay - Halibut (fish n' chip) was okay, would've liked to try local seafood w/out all the dough and oil - Limited menu I'd still be back when I come back to Fairbanks. For the service, and for the fact they open late! :)
(4)Steven H.
This is my fast food, it's cheaper than the supposed fast food places and no slower, I get a real hamburger with 1 pound of meat, fries and drink, ordered and served at my table on plates and silver ware, then when I am done I pay at the table, far more convenient than the fast food places where you stand in line to order and pay, stand around and wait for them to cook it then find a table to eat with your fingers for more money
(3)Leah C.
Menu is completely unimaginative but the beer prices are decent. It's not a good place to watch sports, as the bar area is limited and they will basically ask you to leave your booth even though you explicitly stated you are there to watch a game. Salads are lost at sea when it comes to ingredients creating an enjoyable flavor profile. The almonds are untoasted and the pricey avocado will be so far removed from what you have come to expect from said fruit: rubbery, flavorless, dejected. It's best to stick to the burgers and beer. Service is a step below mediocre.
(2)Jillian R.
Standard pub with good food. Way better than it looks from the outside. Really great service, and the waffle fries were the best I've had! Burger was great too.
(4)F U.
I had the 1lb burger. It was good. Beer was cheap waffle fries were good like an 11 out of 10 Meal over all was a little on the expensive side. But that's what you get in Alaska. Cute waitresses that gave great service. 5 stars for food and service, 3 stars for price. overall 4 stars I'll be back for another wicked Alaskan and the cute Alaskans
(4)Michael J.
This is in a strip plaza called Teddy Bear Plaza. Seriously. It's bar food. Plain and Simple. I had a burger. yawn. It tasted like a standard burger.
(2)Cliffo S.
You Alaskans don't know how lucky you have it!!! You can smoke while you eat inside in the bar area!!!! Great food Oh yea and Alaskan brews!!!
(5)Nick C.
Place sucks. All the beer was flat, everything was overpriced, and the food is gross. The bar tender was hot, so that's probably the only reason these places are open.

Based on a recommendation from the woman at the front desk at our hotel, my brothers and I tried this small restaurant and bar located in a strip mall. There was plenty of parking and we were seated right away. The restaurant was about half full on a Wednesday night. Though we were given glasses of water right away the waitress took a long time to take our order. I ordered their Sante Fe Chicken salad which was one of their signature dishes according to their menu. I was surprised when she asked what dressing I wanted since I assumed that they must have had some sort of Southwest dressing to go with their signature dish. I requested the ranch dressing on the side since apparently they didn't have a more appropriate dressing for this salad. She also initially forgot to bring me the salsa which was supposed to be included. The salad had plenty of chicken but oddly only three or four black beans. The jalepeno tortilla strips tasted like normal tortilla strips and had no spicy kick to them. Overall, the salad was okay and about the right portion size.

Food was excellent. Cheesesteak was excellent. Chipotle steak sandwich was really good. Strawberry shake was wonderful. Would definitely recommend this restaurant
(5)Brandy S.
Sure miss this place!! I remember when they first opened on airport way. Best burgers in town!!! Can't find this anywhere here in so. California. Wish you could ship me a burger!
(5)Patrick L.
My server never showed up but the hostess, named Shevelle, noticed and helped me. The jalapeño burger was good but super messy. Get lots of napkins. It all seemed a little pricey but I'm not from alaska, so maybe its normal.

This is a good place to eat, If your in the mood for a good burger and don't want to make it yourself, well this is one of the better places in Fairbanks. I have been here many times after church. Its one of those places that you and your friends can enjoy each other and food. So far there is only one burger place that I have given 5 stars, and well it might be the only place. I usually prefer to make my own burgers, cause I can, and cause they usually have that taste that I am looking for. I dont know if your the same way, but if you are... well now you should know that this place has good burgers.

I'm a pretty simple guy, I like the Brewster burger and I appreciate their cheap beer, Good service and easy atmosphere

Ok I'll admit I've been here multiple times and each time have been pretty underwhelmed with the food. I've had some mediocre salmon, and a salad that I probably could have made myself at home for half the price. Brewster's hasn't had the best track record with me. This all changed when I came here last Saturday and ordered the buffalo chicken wrap. Holy hell that was a delicious sandwich. The Santa fe chicken wrap isn't too bad either. I would recommend sticking with sandwiches and burgers since that seems to be where they excel. Another helpful hint is that you can replace your fries with a cup of chili, if you're carb counting. I've also had their clam chowder and it is decent.

so much fun! Came for a veggie burger and to watch the game. Drinks were awesome, fantastic chipotle mayo and the most flavorful veggie burger ever. I also thought the waffle fries were perfect! My love ordered the salmon burger and was equally satisfied. we left fat and happy!
(5)Teri B.
Really good burgers - better than most. Husband had the bacon cheeseburger and I had the mushroom swiss. Both were excellent and the waffle fries were perfectly done with a nice crisp on the outside. Nothing fancy but good food. I'll take that every time.
(4)Jaxsun N.
If you want good greasy bar food, this is where its at! The food is very good, but it leaves a cup of grease in the pit of your belly.
(3)Mandy R.
I have never had a good experience at either of the two Brewsters locations in town. The staff is never friendly, if you special order anything they give you a hard time, and they have never got an order right any time I have given them another chance. The burgers were dry and flavorless.
(2)Rich D.
Ok food and the service was quite lacking... They forgot my appetizer... And took almost a hour to get dinner... On a not crowded Monday night... Will consider elsewhere next time...
(2)Lisa A.
So good! The burgers are delicious!
(4)John S.
It's pub food, what do you expect? My Jalapeño burger was pretty damn good for what it was. At $13 I thought it was a little overpriced but not by much; if someone wants to go again I won't argue.
(3)Marc C.
Was here for dinner with my dad on our road trip. We sat by the bar, watching some preseason football on the tv (this was about 3 weeks ago). Service was slow, but the food was pretty good. I had the Halibut Sandwich and my father had some type of burger. I wasn't fond of the fact that it was halibut chunks instead of an actual single peice of halibut fried... but it wasn't bad.
(3)Loyd A.
Recently ate their halibit sandwich thought it was over priced. Seemed more like a $4 sandwich priced at $14. Service was okay.
(2)Sarah B.
Brewsters was recommended by a local and described as a Fairbanks Applebee's. The restaurant was dark and packed in booths and tables. The server was nice and efficient. The food was okay and the menu boasts a HUGE selection which includes a pretty standard set of sandwiches, burgers and additional options like steak, halibut and salads. The wrap I ordered was good but was overdressed with too much dijon mustard which was drippy and made it hard to eat. My co-worker tried a salad and asked to modify the menu option by adding halibut. The server, and kitchen, was happy to oblige.

I agree with Elisa H. This is one of the best restaurants in Fairbanks, for the money. I've had their burgers and fish and chips and they are first rate. Friends had salads and they were great, too. The Clam chowder is excellent. It has a full bar too. What I liked is that you can get an excellent meal at lower to mid cost mainland prices. The quality of the food is all excellent. We are planning a third trip to Fairbanks this fall and will definitely eat there again.

This is one of the best new restaurants Fairbanks has seen in a long time! The place isn't huge, but the atmosphere is fantastic. It has kind of a old traditional pub feel with fancy glass windows and a beautiful heavy bar. They have a great menu with your hearty burgers and such and a huge selection of beers on tap/in bottles. The prices are in the comfortable, middle range - you feel you get a good meal for your money. They also recently opened another branch on the Old Steese that's probably a bit larger, but I haven't been there quite yet.
